IMPGS Chapter 13

IMPGS Chapter 13

The next moment, three large words popped up on his phone: “Impossible.”

Xiao Cheng cursed the fast campus network for the first time, feeling an overwhelming sense of disbelief.

Why not possible?

He clicked to read more and found this was just one person’s opinion. So, it’s just their view, not a universal truth.

Xiao Cheng patted his chest and continued reading, but the more he read, the graver his expression became. Finally, he slammed his phone face down on the desk.

Straight men can’t be bent!

Bent straight men, and the heavens will strike you!

Damn it.

Xiao Cheng cursed inwardly, wondering why such a difficult problem had arisen.

“Brother Cheng, what’s wrong?”

Fang Hui popped his head in, and Du Yunshen was also present for once. Both stared at Xiao Cheng with deep confusion.

Xiao Cheng hesitated. “So, there’s this friend of mine…”

Their eyes instantly brightened. Xiao Cheng’s next words got stuck in his throat, unsure if he should continue.

What’s wrong with that sentence?

Why did they look so excited?

Du Yunshen, usually quiet, spoke up urgently for the first time, “Go on. What happened to your friend?”

Xiao Cheng organized his thoughts. “My friend seems to be straight, but another guy likes him and keeps pursuing him. Do you think my friend could be bent?”

Before Du Yunshen and Fang Hui could reply, Jiang Zihe said, “Brother Cheng, could it be that the friend you’re talking about is me?”

Xiao Cheng was taken aback. Actually, Jiang Zihe’s situation seemed quite similar.

Xiao Cheng became even more worried. What if Nian Nian was as straight as Jiang Zihe? Wouldn’t he end up like that poor boy on the basketball court?

Du Yunshen retracted his head, and even Fang Hui looked disappointed. “So the friend you’re talking about is Jiang Zihe?”

Wasn’t the friend supposed to be me?

Jiang Zihe immediately became upset and slammed the table. “What’s with your expressions? What’s wrong with me?”

Xiao Cheng came back to his senses. “The friend I’m talking about isn’t Jiang Zihe.”

Jiang Zihe’s heart sank. “So you have other straight friends being pursued?”

Fang Hui and Du Yunshen, however, became even more interested.

When Xiao Cheng asked the question, he was thinking from Nian Nian’s perspective, not realizing what these people were imagining. Each of them looked at him with a strange expression.

“Brother Cheng, the key is, is your friend really straight?”

The fact they could ask this question showed Xiao Cheng’s inner conflict.

Damn, wasn’t Xiao Cheng pursuing a green tea?

Why was there another guy pursuing Xiao Cheng?

Fang Hui thought he might be the one, feeling he hadn’t broken through his psychological barrier and was already caught up in cornering others. Who had beaten him to it?

Xiao Cheng furrowed his brow in frustration. “I don’t know if he’s straight.”

“From his appearance, he might not be entirely straight, but…”

Nian Nian was too attractive. His delicate beauty was ambiguous, drawing both men and women.

“But when the other guy pursues him, he’s always kind and never rejects him.”

Fang Hui, fuming, pulled down his curtains. “Don’t talk about it. What a scumbag!”

Pursuing a girl while happily accepting advances from another guy.

Xiao Cheng couldn’t possibly be such a scumbag!

Xiao Cheng: ???

Clarify, please. : )

Xiao Cheng was puzzled by Fang Hui’s accusation and even Du Yunshen gave him a meaningful look. “One shouldn’t be too greedy.”

How can one want both a girlfriend and a boyfriend?

Only Jiang Zihe was the most straightforward, saying, “Brother Cheng, how can you be so indecisive? Don’t you want that beauty from the art academy anymore?”

Xiao Cheng realized, “I’m really talking about a friend, not myself.”

“I only like Nian Nian.”

After much explanation, the three finally believed him, but Xiao Cheng felt a bit exhausted. Did he really come off as such a scumbag?

His roommates hadn’t resolved his confusion; they only made him more tired.

Xiao Cheng picked up his phone, navigated to his pinned chats, and opened the conversation with Nian Nian

[Xiao Cheng: Nian Nian, do you think straight men can be bent?]

He waited until evening for a reply, and finally got one from Nian Nian.

[Nian Nian: Sorry, Brother Cheng, I was a bit busy today.]

Xiao Cheng quickly assured him it was no problem, mainly because he himself was so idle and kept forgetting that Nian Nian was still in high school.

Thinking about it, Xiao Cheng felt a pang of guilt remembering Nian Nian was still underage. Was he really being a bit of a scumbag?

[Nian Nian: Brother Cheng, did you injure your foot?]

Nian Nian also sent a screenshot from S University’s forum.

Xiao Cheng felt embarrassed to admit that he twisted his ankle while thinking about whether Nian Nian was straight or not.

He replied vaguely:

[Xiao Cheng: Yes, it’s nothing serious.]

After a while, Nian Nian replied:

[Nian Nian: Did you go to the hospital?]

Xiao Cheng had only gone to the infirmary for some medication. His ankle was swollen and red since he had walked a bit after the injury. It had even shocked Jiang Zihe.

But it should be fine, no bones were broken.

[Xiao Cheng: I went.]

Nian Nian’s replies were very slow. Xiao Cheng glanced at the time on his phone. It was about time for Nian Nian to be on his way home.

He was so bored that he kept checking his phone, afraid he might miss Nian Nian’s replies.

After some time, his phone rang. Nian Nian had sent a message.

[Nian Nian: Brother Cheng, I’m at the entrance of S University.]

Nian Nian came over?!

Xiao Cheng jumped up from the bed but accidentally bumped his injured ankle, causing him to wince in pain, tears welling up in his eyes.

So painful!

“Brother Cheng, what’s wrong?” Fang Hui peeked from under the desk, looking worried.

“Nothing.” Xiao Cheng picked up his phone. Nian Nian had sent another message.

[Nian Nian: I brought you some things. Have your roommate come to pick them up.]

Xiao Cheng put on his shoes, adjusted his collar in the mirror, and limped out.

“You’re going out?” Jiang Zihe also stood up. “Is there something I can do for you? I can go instead.”

Seeing Xiao Cheng limping, he worried that if someone bumped into him, he might not even make it back to the dorm.

“It’s nothing serious. I can go by myself.”

Xiao Cheng thought he must not let Jiang Zihe see Nian Nian. Otherwise, Jiang Zihe might confess to him before Xiao Cheng even figured out if Nian Nian was straight.

Fang Hui looked at him with a complex expression. Despite the pain, Xiao Cheng was determined to go meet Nian Nian.

“Did Nian Nian come to see you?”

Xiao Cheng’s cheeks flushed. “Yes.”

Jiang Zihe clicked his tongue. “Alright, I can’t do this for you.”

Xiao Cheng didn’t walk all the way to the school gate. S University was quite large, and the distance from their dorm to the gate was too long. He might not make it in half an hour with his current condition.

He found a classmate with a small electric scooter to take him to the gate. Since Xiao Cheng paid generously, the classmate agreed to wait and then bring him back.

It was late, and there weren’t many people at the gate. Xiao Cheng spotted Nian Nian right away.
He couldn’t help but quicken his pace, ignoring the pain in his ankle.

“Brother Cheng.”

Luo Jingshu heard the uneven footstepssaweeing Xiao Cheng limping toward him.

Nian Nian’s gaze fell on Xiao Cheng’s smiling eyes, his face still flushed, and his breathing more rapid than usual.

Those eyes shone brightly, filled with unmistakable joy.

“Nian Nian.”

Luo Jingshu sighed softly in his heart, realizing how much Xiao Cheng really liked him.

He smiled, his expression showing just the right amount of concern. “Brother Cheng, why did you come alone?”

Xiao Cheng gazed at Nian Nian with a gentle tone. “I wanted to see you.”

Luo Jingshu handed him a bag. “I bought some snacks and medicine.”

Xiao Cheng took the bag, finding it a bit heavy. “Why so much?”

The light made Luo Jingshu’s eyes sparkle like stars in the night. When he smiled, his peach blossom eyes glinted with specks of light.

“Because Brother Cheng is so good to me, I want to be good to you too.”

The atmosphere became more ambiguous, and Xiao Cheng felt like he could see pink bubbles around them.

He took a deep breath, gripping the bag tightly to suppress his inner nervousness.

“Nian Nian, about the question I asked you today.”

“What do you think?”
