SDVPP Chapter 1

Transmigrate into a book

Five minutes had passed, and Chi Han still couldn’t figure out how he had ended up here after being on the toilet.

His hand was frozen mid-action, holding a torn piece of toilet paper.

On the smooth table in front of him were several glasses, each emitting strange and alluring colors, with bubbles rising inside. The exact composition of the liquids within the glasses was a mystery.

There was a heavy, sweet scent of alcohol in the air.

He began to suspect that his all-night reading session had induced a hallucination, for why else would he find himself in a place that resembled a nightclub?

Before he could make sense of the situation, someone suddenly thrust a glass into his hand.

Chi Han: “???”

Baffled, he glanced at a group of rowdy young men nearby. The person who had handed him the glass grinned and raised an eyebrow, saying, “Didn’t you claim that Fang Jingluo has a thing for you? If he drinks this glass later, you win!”

The others sitting around the table wore mocking expressions upon hearing this.

Upon hearing the familiar line and the name, Chi Han’s mind went numb.

Fang Jingluo…

Wasn’t he the scummy protagonist from the melodramatic and heartbreaking story he had stayed up all night reading last night?!

Chi Han’s blood ran cold, and suddenly, he remembered the bold statement he had left in the comments section:

“If I were that supporting character, those doggedly scummy guys wouldn’t survive until the end!”

Chi Han: “…”

Can I take them back now? Is it still possible to delete those comments?

“Are you thinking of backing out? This is something you said yourself. Dare to try and cheat us?”

The young man forcefully patted Chi Han’s shoulder and sneered.

Chi Han winced from the shoulder pat, and his expression darkened.

Is this guy insane? Can’t he talk reasonably?

Seeing that Chi Han didn’t react, the young man seemed ready to continue patting him. Chi Han placed his glass on the table with a firm “thud” and swatted the person’s hand away, the sound somewhat crisp.

The once lively table immediately fell silent, and all eyes were fixed on the reddening back of Li Qing’s hand.

The blow that Chi Han delivered to Li Qing was undeniably forceful, judging by the swelling on the back of his hand.

Li Qing, equally shocked, stared at his hand in disbelief. Chi Han, who had always been meekly pandering to him, had actually dared to strike back in public tonight!

“You dare hit me?!”

Chi Han rubbed his still slightly throbbing shoulder, visibly irritated. “Who are you?”

Li Qing’s expression changed instantly. He rose and grabbed Chi Han’s collar, apparently ready to force him to the ground.

Chi Han hadn’t anticipated that this guy would resort to physical violence so quickly. He narrowed his eyes and swiftly locked onto the aggressor’s joints with his raised hand.

Just as everyone watched in astonishment, the door to the private room suddenly swung open from the outside. Several elegantly dressed young men walked in, just in time to witness Chi Han being pushed to the ground.

“Wow, a fight, huh? Impressive, brother. This is the first time I’ve seen someone go wild at a gathering hosted by Jingluo!” The first young man who entered exclaimed with curiosity. He then turned to those behind him and said, “Jingluo, someone is putting on a show for you here. Come in quickly, or it might be over before you get to watch!”

Upon hearing this, Li Qing turned pale, promptly releasing Chi Han and repeatedly apologizing to the last person who had entered, “I’m sorry, Fang-ge. It wasn’t intentional! It’s just… it’s just that Chi Han kept saying you liked him, and I wanted to stand up for you!”

Chi Han: “…”

This supporting character’s foolish statement immediately triggered the same heart-sinking feeling he had while reading the novel last night.

“I like him?”

A faint, mocking laughter filled the room, and anyone could detect the sarcasm in it. Leaning against the door, Fang Jingluo lifted his eyes to the person inside, or more precisely, to the isolated figure of Chi Han.

Li Qing immediately gloated, thinking, ‘You asked for it! Who doesn’t know that Fang Jingluo has a strong and domineering personality and hates it when people spread rumors about him, especially since he just broke up? Chi Han is literally dancing in a minefield here!’

The music in the private room had stopped when Fang Jingluo and his friends entered. All eyes were fixed on Chi Han.

Fang Jingluo could never be interested in a brainless fool like Chi Han. Besides, the Fang family’s status in S City far exceeded that of the Chi family. Even if Fang Jingluo did want to have some fun with someone, Chi Han might not even be remotely qualified.

Feeling Fang Jingluo’s gaze, Chi Han involuntarily shivered, his skin crawling with goosebumps. Although this scummy protagonist did look decent, the moment he thought about the things he had done in the novel, Chi Han couldn’t help but feel repulsed.

Even a single glance felt painful.

“Are you insane? Only a dog would like him.”

As soon as this statement was made, there was a collective gasp of shock from everyone around. Even Jiang Yaoning, who had been teasing Fang Jingluo at the door, couldn’t hide his astonishment.

Chi Han, who usually followed Fang Jingluo like a lapdog, how could he suddenly become so bold today?!

Fang Jingluo, who had initially appeared somewhat relaxed, was instantly overshadowed by a dark aura. He walked a few steps over and grasped Chi Han’s wrist, his suppressed rage apparent as he questioned, “Who allowed you to mimic his way of speaking? Do you even qualify?”

Chi Han winced as his wrist was squeezed, forcefully prying Fang Jingluo’s hand away. As expected, there was already a purplish-blue mark on his slender wrist.

This violent, psychotic lunatic!

Fang Jingluo didn’t receive an answer, his expression turning menacing. He was as irate1a state of extreme anger or great fury as a lion whose territory had been invaded. “If I catch you imitating him again, I’ll make your Chi family disappear from here.”

Fang Jingluo shot Chi Han a disgusted look and left the private room, leaving the others in a state of bewilderment.

“Jingluo, wait for me!” Jiang Yaoning was the first to react, hurrying to chase after him. The others who had come with them quickly followed suit.

A few seconds later, a finely dressed girl turned to her friend, disdainful, “Spreading rumors that Fang Shao likes him? Some people truly lack brains.”

The voice was loud enough that Chi Han could hear it clearly.

“You don’t know, people from those small families are just like this, brainless and uncultured,” her friend replied with a laugh, not even sparing Chi Han a glance.

“Tsk, offending Fang Jingluo. I wonder what he was thinking…”

“Probably, after being a lapdog for so long, he wanted to show some backbone?”

“Haha… with his family’s meager assets? Show some backbone? Don’t you know how his parents flatter everyone at parties, calling everyone ‘boss’?”

“Is that so…”

Upon hearing the surrounding discussions, Li Qing became even more arrogant. He scanned Chi Han from head to toe, lifted his hand to point to his own hand back, and maliciously smiled, using lip movements to say:

“Just you wait. If I see you in the future, I’ll hit you again.”

Chi Han remained unfazed by this immature and feeble threat. He sighed, looking at his clearly smaller hand. This body was still too frail. It took forever to deal with even a small fry. Otherwise, with his reputation as the top street fighter in the city, Li Qing’s small stature could only withstand a maximum of three punches.

Chi Han gave Li Qing a disdainful look that practically screamed “idiot.”

Before Li Qing could go berserk again, Chi Han put on his clothes and left the private room. The memories of the original owner were slowly returning, and he needed to find a place to assess his current situation.

Fang Jingluo, his face stern, headed to the underground parking lot. Jiang Yaoning caught up with him and held the car door, saying, “Don’t leave! We made an appointment with the Rong family’s young master tonight. Are you going to stand him up?”

Fang Jingluo gazed ahead, the dim car lights casting shadows on his furrowed brow.

“Let go.”

Jiang Yaoning clicked his tongue. “I mean, is it really necessary? Just because of what Chi Han said? If you want, I can find a few people to teach him a lesson and let you vent some steam, would that work?”

He looked around, lowered his voice, and continued, “Jingluo, don’t forget the purpose of inviting him this time. If you can cooperate with young master Rong, your father will definitely support your project!”

Fang Jingluo’s expression changed for a moment, and he let out a long breath. “Call them to change to a different private room. Also, tell Chi Han…”

Fang Jingluo paused, his disgust evident. He continued, “Tell him to get lost quickly. I don’t want to see him tonight.”

“Got it, Young Master,” Jiang Yaoning put on a playful smile again, taking out his phone. “This little lover you found this time isn’t a pushover, huh? Looks all submissive usually, but now he’s picking fights and even swearing at you. Hey, what’s this new tactic to win you over?”

Fang Jingluo shot Jiang Yaoning a warning look. The anger he had just suppressed flared up again.

Only a few people knew about the fact that Chi Han was his recent stand-in, and Jiang Yaoning was one of them.

This Chi Han had been timid and foolish before, merely serving as an entertainment option for him, someone he could dismiss with a kick when he was annoyed.

Every time he looked at the face that resembled that person’s, Fang Jingluo’s negative feelings kept welling up inside him.

Could it be that one day, this person would also show a similarly pitiful expression, begging him to reconcile?

But tonight, Chi Han displayed the same expression as when that person left.

Staring at him with such intense aversion, as if looking at something filthy.

Fang Jingluo gave a cold, sharp tug at the corner of his lips and spoke in a chilling voice: “Lover? Is he worthy of it?”

Jiang Yaoning clicked his tongue twice, unafraid, and laughed, “That’s right, your high and mighty flower of the highlands has already gone abroad. Who’s even worthy of being your lover?”

“Jiang Yaoning!”

Fang Jingluo’s hand on the steering wheel tightened, and his face was filled with a dark aura. “Dare mention him one more time.”

Jiang Yaoning sat back, somewhat sulking, muttering a few things under his breath that he didn’t dare to say out loud.

Chi Han left the club and stood on the street, letting the cold wind blow for a while before realizing he had nowhere to go. He found a 24-hour convenience store and bought some hotpot ingredients while pondering.

The original owner’s memories weren’t complete, and they would probably come back little by little. However, for now, Chi Han couldn’t find any useful memories. To sum it up, it could be described as “Self-improvement for a Copycat.”

Chi Han recalled the contents of the original book and organized the storyline of the cannon fodder original character.

In the novel, “Chi Han” is both foolish and pitiful. His parents had a typical business marriage with little emotional connection, which meant that in this family, “Chi Han” never experienced the love of a father or a mother. Things got even worse after he became Fang Jingluo’s stand-in. The latter only wanted his face, but sadly, he was deeply infatuated with Fang Jingluo.

So, later in the story, after Bai Yueguang returned, “Chi Han” underwent a complete transformation, and of course, the ending was quite tragic. Not only did he not succeed in taking revenge on the villain, but he was also confined in a mental hospital until the end of the story.

The problem was that he had chosen this role for himself.

Chi Han: “…”

Following Fang Jingluo’s character development, he would become increasingly sinister. He might even demand that “Chi Han” play the role of Bai Yueguang, but after witnessing the poor acting, he would become even more irritable. As a result, “Chi Han” would frequently sport bruises.

All thanks to this scumbag!

Even though the original character was foolish, Fang Jinglu was far from being a decent person.

Chi Han rubbed the bruise on his wrist and couldn’t help but curse.

People actually supported this kind of crazy story in the comments section. They should experience it themselves!

Thinking about Fang Jingluo’s future pestering, Chi Han couldn’t help but itch for a fight. It seemed that his top priority now was to properly exercise this body.

And then, when he met this scumbag, he’d give him a good beating.
