I Woke Up and got Married Chapter 7

After yelling, Chi Suinian thought Lu Zhiyue would finally put him down. But no—in a dizzying spin, this bastard carried him back into the bar, showing him off in front of everyone once again.

“…”

Lu Zhiyue bent slightly and gently supported Chi Suinian’s rear, setting him down at the restroom door.

“Go ahead.”

No matter how furious Chi Suinian had been just now, the moment he was on his feet, his first instinct wasn’t to punch Lu Zhiyue, but to dash into the restroom without hesitation.

If he didn’t take care of this now, he’d really end up embarrassing himself in front of everyone.

He could deal with Lu Zhiyue later; his own dignity couldn’t be lost just to be reclaimed later.

But as they say, when you’re down on your luck, even cold water can choke you.

Though his teeth weren’t stuck, his zipper was hopelessly jammed, and no matter how hard he pulled, it wouldn’t budge.

“Damn it!”

What a crappy pair of pants.

He was about to burst…

Just as he was practically spinning in circles, a pair of slender, well-defined fingers reached over, expertly flicking the metal zipper. Immediately, the waistband loosened.

Chi Suinian stared blankly at the suddenly-present Lu Zhiyue. Thanks to the alcohol, he reacted a beat late. After a moment of dazed confusion, his body jolted, and he looked down in disbelief, “Where the hell do you think you’re touching?”

Lu Zhiyue raised an eyebrow matter-of-factly. “Helping you.”

“Did helping involve pulling down my underwear?”

“Figured you didn’t know how.”

“…”

Chi Suinian pressed his tongue against his cheek, then gave Lu Zhiyue a fierce look, almost hissing his words, “Lu Zhiyue, have I gone too long without setting you straight?”

Lu Zhiyue met his gaze calmly.

“Then how about we step outside and settle this?” So you’ll stop going out of your way to piss me off.

Lu Zhiyue looked at him for a moment, “No fight. I’ll wait for you outside.”

He turned and left.

Chi Suinian smirked. That was typical Lu Zhiyue—even in retreat, he made it look dignified.

After taking care of business, Chi Suinian returned to the lively bar, but he’d lost interest in staying. He said goodbye to Tang Jin and Lu Heng, and, with a fuzzy head, left the bar.

Lu Zhiyue followed behind him, close but not too close, his footsteps steady.

Chi Suinian walked on alone for a bit before stopping. “Where’s your car?”

Lu Zhiyue was briefly stunned. After what had just happened, he’d thought Chi Suinian would definitely throw a fit and refuse to come back with him tonight. But surprisingly…

Chi Suinian waited for a while, growing impatient. He turned around, “I asked you a question.”

Snapping out of it, Lu Zhiyue quickly took two steps forward to catch up with him. “This way.”

Lu Zhiyue usually had a driver, no matter where he went or how late it was. As soon as they arrived at the parking lot, the young driver who Chi Suinian had seen when he was discharged from the hospital quickly got out and dutifully opened the back door.

Seeing the time—almost midnight—and noticing that the driver looked even younger than them, still half-asleep, Chi Suinian couldn’t help but smirk. “How much does Lu Zhiyue pay you per month? Making you work this late? Come work for me instead; I’ll pay you double.”

He mostly said this to annoy Lu Zhiyue.

Chi Suinian didn’t need a driver. He liked driving himself, not like Lu Zhiyue, who couldn’t go anywhere without an entourage.

The driver, Lin Qi, blinked in confusion for a second. “You’re joking, Mr. Chi. Mr. Lu pays me generously, and I don’t have any plans to change jobs. I’d hate to disappoint you.”

He wasn’t lying; Lu Zhiyue was always generous with his people and didn’t have any unreasonable demands. He rarely made Lin Qi work overtime or attend wild parties. In fact, it was one of the best jobs he could ask for.

As long as Lu Zhiyue didn’t go bankrupt, he could see himself staying until retirement.

Chi Suinian raised an eyebrow, said nothing more, and got into the car, leaning back into the seat to rest.

Outside, Lu Zhiyue hesitated for a few seconds before quietly saying, “Can I sit here?”

Chi Suinian clicked his tongue. “Is the seat covered in spikes?”

“No,” Lu Zhiyue replied. “I just thought you wouldn’t let me.”

Chi Suinian didn’t indulge him. “Oh, then don’t sit.”

“…”

After a couple of seconds, the figure at the door lowered himself into the seat, bringing a faint scent of fresh pine into the car. Chi Suinian opened his eyes.

“Sorry,” Lu Zhiyue suddenly said.

Chi Suinian changed what he was about to say. “What did you say?”

This guy actually knew the word “sorry”?

“I shouldn’t have interrupted your time with your friends, and I shouldn’t have carried you out without your permission.”

Chi Suinian looked at him as if he’d seen a ghost.

“And I shouldn’t have pulled down your underwear in the restroom.”

The driver, Lin Qi, couldn’t help himself, glancing at them in the rearview mirror, his curiosity obvious.

The car fell into a few seconds of strange silence.

Chi Suinian wanted to strangle this bastard on the spot.

Back at the villa, Chi Suinian quickly took a bath, his hair still damp as he lay down on the bed and casually checked his phone.

He hadn’t looked at it since leaving the bar, and now there were quite a few messages. The top group chat had already reached 99+.

He clicked in, skimming a few messages. Most were from people who had attended the birthday party, chatting about the next event.

Since he had left, there was no need for him to listen to their chatter. He was about to leave the group when the messages suddenly started flooding in quickly.

The most active participant was a Pikachu icon with a blunt nickname: “Fish Eater.”

It was his idiotic cousin.

[Fish Eater: That birthday party was totally ruined by those two. What do they think this place is? Absolutely shameless.]

Two full pages of photos filled the screen.

Chi Suinian skimmed them. They were all pictures of him being carried by Lu Zhiyue.

Various directions, various angles, no dead spots.

Who knew how Chi Yu managed to take so many.

He must have been busy at the time.

Most people in the group knew Chi Suinian’s temperament. They might gossip privately, but no one would actually mock him directly. But with Chi Yu taking the lead, others were starting to chime in.

[I always thought Chi Suinian was tough. I figured he called all the shots at home too.]

[Doesn’t look like it. He was even shouting that he’d kill someone earlier. Who wants to go check if Lu Zhiyue is still alive?]

[Asking that now would just ruin someone’s fun.]

Then came a bunch of crude emojis.

[Hey, actually, I’m curious. What were they doing in the bathroom? Lu Zhiyue came out with red ears.]

Chi Suinian’s eyebrow twitched, remembering Lu Zhiyue in the restroom, pulling down his underwear.

The tall man had leaned over, his cool fingers moving around his abdomen, eyelashes lowered in concentration, staring straight at his privates.

Damn it… Who gave him the right to touch him, to look at him?

They were only in a fake marriage; Lu Zhiyue was way too into it.

Running a hand through his hair, Chi Suinian regretted not just punching Lu Zhiyue in the face earlier.

[Wait, there was really something?]

[Oh! Bar, restroom, husbands—got the whole scene in my head now.]

[Are you all sick? Why are you so into seeing two gay men together? Disgusting]

Just as he was about to leave the group, an unfamiliar profile caught his eye.

The profile picture was an old, blurry photo of their high school entrance, taken haphazardly, slightly crooked. Besides the profile picture, the account had no other info—just a nickname, a simple dot “.”

Before Chi Suinian could figure out who it was, the person sent another message.

[. : Saved them. Got more?]

Chi Suinian: ?

What’s this guy’s deal?

[Wow, the main man himself is in the group!]

[666…]

The pictures had two main subjects, and if one of them was chewing his lip at the screen, it was clear who the other was.

Staring at the profile, Chi Suinian, barely holding back his temper, exited the group.

Out of sight, out of mind.

As soon as he’d set his phone down, there was a knock on the door. He didn’t need to guess who it was.

Rolling over, he closed his eyes, ignoring it.

After a while, the knocking stopped, but then his phone pinged.

An eerily familiar notification sound.

For some reason, even before unlocking his phone, Chi Suinian knew it was from Lu Zhiyue.

Logic told him not to look—checking it might keep him awake. But his hand betrayed him, swiping open the screen.

Might as well see what new trick Lu Zhiyue was up to.

[. requests to add you as a friend.]

[.: It’s me, Lu Zhiyue.]

Chi Suinian: Ha.

He clicked “Reject” with a touch sharp enough to leave a mark.

[Rejection reason: Go away.]

······

Seemingly unfazed, Lu Zhiyue sent another message.

[.: Why are you rejecting me?]

Read but not replied.

[.: Asleep?]

[.: I see your lights are still on. Why won’t you accept?]

[.: It’s me, Lu Zhiyue.]

[.: It’s me, Lu Zhiyue.]

Clearly irritated, Chi Suinian replied.

[Rejection reason: Don’t push me, or I’ll hit you.]

[.: Just add me. I need to show you something.]

After a pause, Chi Suinian replied, [Say it directly.]

[.: There’s something I want to show you.]

Despite being irritating, Lu Zhiyue had a serious side. There was no way he’d mess around like this, so after a moment’s hesitation, Chi Suinian hit “Accept.”

[Chi: Out with it.]

[. : I thought these photos looked good, so I saved them to share.]

Chi Suinian: ?

He had a bad feeling about this.

Sure enough, familiar photos filled the screen, each capturing him being carried away.

Ten seconds passed. Not getting a response, Lu Zhiyue tried again.

[. : Asleep?]

[Message sent but rejected by the recipient.]

Lu Zhiyue had just earned his first block.
