The others were a bit bewildered, not understanding the current situation. However, Rong Jin, who understood what was going on, was like a true actor, showing a slightly puzzled expression along with the crowd.
One of the main people involved, Chi Feiran, felt very anxious. What was going on? The cameras were rolling! What if he started crying again?! Thinking about how Qiulang had cried so easily last night, Chi Feiran felt especially nervous.
Even if they could edit it out later, with so many staff members on set, it would surely leak. If word got out that he had made Qiulang cry, how would he explain himself?
This was completely different from revealing his private life here!
Luckily, Qiulang seemed repentant, but he still had some pride.
Facing the puzzled looks from everyone, he said, “I had some deep discussions with Brother Chi yesterday. I greatly admire him and realize my own shortcomings. So, I’ve decided to learn from him starting today.”
The onlookers were utterly dumbfounded. What kind of discussion could lead to such a profound enlightenment…
Qi Ming was a relatively decent person, so seeing everyone remain silent, he spoke up first. “Oh, I see… That’s great then!”
Ning Xuan glanced at him and added with a smile, “Yes.”
Jiang Haoyun was especially curious and asked Chi Feiran, “What did you guys talk about?”
Chi Feiran replied, “Oh, just… casual conversation. Maybe… he’s more emotional…”
Rong Jin lowered his head to look at the menu, afraid he might burst out laughing.
Qiulang sat down slowly, dare not look at Chi Feiran or Rong Jin. Every time he looked at Rong Jin, he felt pain all over his body.
He pretended to glance at the menu and quietly asked Jiang Haoyun, “Is the hologram thing fun?”
Before Jiang Haoyun could answer, he eagerly said, “It’s so fun! If you want to try it, let’s do it tonight!”
Qiulang readily agreed, “Sure, sure.”
Qiulang’s expression was tense, but he actually wanted to cry in Jiang Haoyun’s arms. Although he knew it was probably just psychological, he felt safe when he looked at Jiang Haoyun!
Rong Jin and that young master probably wouldn’t beat him up in front of everyone, right?
The others didn’t know what he was thinking. Jiang Haoyun was happy that Qiulang wanted to play with him, even asking the others if they wanted to join, but unfortunately, no one responded.
This was just a prelude before breakfast, and shooting the luxurious castle breakfast was the main focus now.
The breakfast menu was a long list, with a mix of Western and Chinese dishes, sweet and savory, everything you could think of.
After looking at the menu carefully, Jiang Haoyun sighed, “I never thought we could have soy milk and fried dough sticks with spicy soup here. It’s so touching.”
Among the breakfast items listed, there were few that these big celebrities hadn’t tried before. But just thinking about it, all these things were part of the daily life of the wealthy. They could enjoy everything at home without worrying about whether this restaurant was good or that one was bad, like ordering takeout.
The happiness of the rich was truly enviable, evident in every detail.
After filming breakfast, it was time for the segment where they had to do chores.
Chi Feiran had a suspicion about the direction they were going, and when they arrived at the location, he thought the production team was really bad. They had just finished breakfast, and now they were supposed to clean the stables…
Several beautiful purebred horses neighed in the stable. The stables, which should have been cleaned before the owner arrived, still emitted an unpleasant smell.
Ning Xuan took a few steps back. “No way…”
Qi Ming asked, “Are we here on vacation or to work at the castle?”
Jiang Haoyun said, “Who arranged this segment? Cleaning up after just eating???”
And then the one who loved to be pampered arrived. Caesar had undergone his usual grooming routine with Charlie in the morning, and now he was positively glowing with every strand of fur shining.
Shimmering Caesar leaped down from Charlie’s arms, took three or four steps, then hopped onto the fence of the stable. Amidst the crowd’s astonishment, he sprang onto the back of Little Rose in one swift move, raised his cat head proudly, let out a couple of “meows,” and didn’t dirty his tender pads in the slightest.
Chi Feiran knew he was seeking praise, so he quickly rubbed his head. “You look great, Caesar, the best.”
Caesar affectionately rubbed his palm and even licked it a couple of times.
The cameraman zoomed in, feeling that there was quite a spectacle happening around Chi Feiran. This would make great promotional material when edited later!
The stables were normally cleaned by dedicated staff members multiple times a day, so the guests quickly finished the task of shoveling manure. While Chi Feiran had a bit of a struggle, it didn’t last long.
Then, the guests changed into riding gear and came out to bond with the horses, patting their necks and feeding them treats. Soon, they were riding the beautiful purebred horses, patrolling the estate like ancient nobles.
Everyone could ride a horse, and with the riding gear on, both men and women looked majestic and distinctive in their own ways.
Except for one person who was different. While others showed off their riding skills, he rode with a cat in front of him.
Rong Jin was curious and approached to see his equipment, reaching out to play with the cat that was wrapped around Chi Feiran’s front like a child, with only Caesar’s head peeking out. “This is quite something…”
Jiang Haoyun asked, “Can you really do that?”
Qi Ming said, “I’ve seen people carrying babies like that before.”
Ning Xuan added, “You seem to know quite a lot…”
Qi Ming awkwardly changed the subject, avoiding further discussion.
As one of the insiders who knew the truth, Qiulang unexpectedly felt a hint of superiority in his heart. Who would have thought! This person’s cat! This person’s horse! This person’s grand castle! It seemed like they played like this all the time!
Chi Feiran never thought that one day his act of riding with a cat would be known to all the people in the country.
If he had known this would happen one day, he would never have done it!
Rong Jin poked Caesar and asked Chi Feiran, “Would it get scared if it runs fast?”
Chi Feiran immediately looked to Charlie for help with a pleading look in his eyes. Charlie just smiled and explained, “Caesar loves riding, and the faster, the happier he is.”
Everyone found it quite fascinating and urged Chi Feiran to quickly take a lap and see if it was true.
Chi Feiran knew it was true, but he could only take a quick lap to satisfy everyone’s curiosity.
He had been riding horses since he was a child, and the expertise showed. Unlike the other guests who had only learned to ride for the sake of filming, he effortlessly mounted the horse and looked stunning in every aspect. With a gentle tug of the reins, Little Rose trotted forward.
Jiang Haoyun, being somewhat of a horse enthusiast himself, was amazed. “If he didn’t have a cat in front, he’d be like a model in a tutorial!”
Ning Xuan said, “That’s the cute factor.”
Rong Jin agreed with Ning Xuan for once. Indeed, it was cute.
In Rong Jin’s eyes, Chi Feiran seemed to be glowing, and he couldn’t take his eyes off him. With the morning light filtering through the leaves of the surrounding trees, casting dappled shadows, there was an ethereal quality to him.
Rong Jin’s heart was pounding, like the rhythmic beat of the horse’s hooves. It seemed to quicken as he watched.
He realized that liking someone felt like this.
That person just smiled at you, and you felt like the entire universe was revolving around you, filled with joy and speechless excitement.
You couldn’t control the changes in yourself, but you couldn’t help but feel sweet about them.
