IRAT chapter 1

Characters:

Lan Shiruo : the female protagonist

Fei Le : the female protagonist’s son
nicknamed Xiao Lebao (means little baby Le) or Lebao for short.

Jianxiang : the female protagonist’s dog , a fierce and loyal tibetian mastiff , his name means “The General ” as in a military general.
“Who the hell are you?”

In the white ward, Lan Shiruo suddenly opened her eyes, and an undercurrent flashed in her eyes, with a bit of doubt.

Are the bloody and cruel scenes a dream?

“Waah waaah waah”

Weak and helpless crying sounded close to her , Lan Shiruo looked at the bloody little body next to her, her cold heart was warming up a little bit.

Le Bao? Is it her Le Bao?

The little guy whose umbilical cord had not been cut yet, seemed to feel his mother’s call, and cried louder, as if responding to her.

Lan Shiruo burst into tears in an instant,
It was not a dream. Whether it was the past that she went through or the present , it was not a dream.

Her Lebao was still there, her lover was still there, her enemy was still there, she was still there, but everything started again from the moment it all began.

The blood stains under her were dry and she couldn’t take care of them.

She cut the umbilical cord with the medical scissors next to her, gave the little guy a bath  , then she found a clean white cloth and wrapped little Lebao, and held him to her chest.

Little Lebao was really hungry, and his little mouth moved around her chest wanting to eat.

Lan Shiruo patted his little butt, and smiled,
“Little Le Bao is good, don’t worry”

Today is the first day of the last days , the first day of the apocalypse.
It’s also the day  her Le Bao’s was born.

Outside the single ward, the world has become a purgatory. Everybody was getting out in a hurry.

Jiangxiang (AKA The General) was lying at the door has not awakened yet, so she gently stroked his blood-red fluffy hair, her eyes full of joy.

This is a pure red Tibetan Mastiff who accompanied her through the most difficult times.

It was like that before the end of the world and it was the same after the end of the world.

They were partners and relatives.

In her last life , while accompanying her to get her revenge, he sacrificed himself to save her.

But  he is still here today .

Seeing him alive and kicking felt so good.
“In this life, I will take care of you.”

Xiao Lebao was fed enough milk, and fell asleep beautifully.

Lan Shiruo put the little guy on the bed, then went to the bathroom and washed herself.

At the beginning of the end, the water and electricity still worked.

And will keep working for at least one day.

Then she cut her long hair skillfully and put on a sports suit.

Out of the bathroom, she glanced at the little guy on the hospital bed, sleeping soundly.

Bending over and kissing his little cheek, her figure then flashed and entered the space.

The space is held in the phoenix bracelet that Xiao Lebao’s father put on her hand after their accidental encounter.

He only left the word “wait for me” and disappeared.

In her last life , at the beginning , Lan Shiruo had complained, was angered, and in pain.

This man whose face she had never even seen had  ruined her life.

Fortunately, there was her adoptive sister who found her the morning after the incident, comforted her, and gave her courage.

She took her away from the place where her life was ruined her , sent her to a quiet place where no one  disturbed her, and told her, not be afraid , that no one will know about what happened.

Lan Shiruo believed what her sister told her to be true.

But who knew that when she stepped out of the gate three months later, what faced her was not the rain and the sky, but the rumors about how she was improper, shameless, and how lowly she was.

In the whole of  B city’s upper circle, people have a -dirty- photo of her on the night of the incident next to their beds .

Later, she accidentally found out  that the woman in the photo was not her.

Every piece of evidence on what happened that night was destroyed by Lebao’s father when he left.

What people saw was only a picture of a woman who looked like her that her good adoptive sister deliberately found and exposed.

The photo was a blurry , only showing the woman’s profile, but coupled with deliberate rumors, no one suspected that it is not her.

Her adoptive sister apologized to her , saying she doesn’t know why these things spread out, but assured her that everything will be handled appropriately.

Her adoptive parents and adoptive younger brother also asked her not be afraid, saying that they are all there for her , that they will be with her, and that no one can hurt her.

She naively believed it all and let them move her to the hospital they arranged, where she  found out that she was pregnant.

When she first knew that there was a little guy in her stomach, she panicked.

It wasn’t until the little guy’s first fetal movement that she seemed to come back to life, full of joy, and continued to stay in the hospital with peace of mind, waiting for the little guy to arrive.

Until the end of the world’s end, for ten months, days went by one after another, until the little guy was born, on a day just like she gave birth to him today.

Her labor started at one o’clock in the morning and ended at two in the afternoon, after which she passed out.

When she woke up she was alone in the ward , and she  found that the world had changed.

She waited in horror for three days in the ward, waited for her adoptive  parents to come and rescue the mother and son.

When they did finally come to rescue her, at the time, God knew how touched and grateful she was, and she vowed that she would do her best to repay them in her life.

She did as she vowed .
In the first year of the apocalypse, apart from taking care of Xiao Lebao, all her energy was spent on repaying their kindness.

It is ridiculous that what they wanted is not her repaying the gratitude, but the life of both the mother and son.

One year after the start of the end of the world,she doesn’t know where it came from.

Word was spread around that there was an antibody in the body of every child born during the apocalypse, which can suppress the virus.

Therefore, Xiao Lebao was sent away, given out as a gift by her adoptive parents, in exchange for the family of four, in which she was of course not included .

And it was only at that time that she finally saw the family’s face clearly.

She found out that her good adoptive sister gave her medicine to drug her , knowing that she would be setting her up with a man whom she had never seen before, resulting in the night that she thought ruined her life.

Her adoptive sister then took her to live in seclusionto protect her? It was  just to show even more just how shameless she was. Isn’t it the best thing to let her “hide in shame” ?

And when her adoptive sister Put her in the hospital, it was because she just couldn’t be  bothered to pay attention to her anymore,  just letting her destroy herself.

It was even more of a joke to say they saved her after the apocalypse started.

A group of survivors wanted to come to the hospital to get medicine. They were forced to follow along.

They happened to meet the adopted daughter who had been forgotten so far and found out that she had supernatural powers.

They kept her  to seek their own welfare, and obviously, they were very successful.

Not only did they not need to be short on water like everyone else, but they can also get high-standard treatment as the family members of someone that has supernatural powers.

Yes, she awakened the water power.
Now she is also an awakened.

It wasn’t until later that they all awakened their abilities and found a way to soar into the sky, so they abandoned her without pity.

It’s just that she didn’t understand from beginning to end, that she was never her own, and why they wanted to violate only her.

In the  five years folowing that, Lan Shiruo exhausted all her energy to get revenge but only injured the family superficially. Her so called revenge was in vain.

In the end, in her unwillingness and anger, she became a carrion, wandering  every corner of the world unconsciously.

Her soul was separated from her body, attracted by unknown power, and came to a man whose face she couldn’t see even in her state as a wandering soul.

He is Xiao Lebao’s father, a mysterious and powerful man.

He found her body that turned into a carrion, caring for it carefully and cherishingly, staying by her body’s side like a lover , at all times.

If he wasn’t afraid that her carrion body would fall off with a touch, he would have even to held her body in his arms.

He avenged her and her child, so that all those who hurt them died without a place to bury them.

He should have  become the king of the world.

But he didn’t want that .

He sent himself to her mouth, smiling, and fell into the abyss with her.

During the five years she accompanied him as a soul , Lan Shiruo fell in love with this man.

She didn’t know how he looked,his name, his origin, nor why he loved her to the bone.

He was the father of her child.
Everyone said he belonged to the petrodactyl corps.

“From now on, I will be Cangfeng.”
[E/D note : Cangfeng is a butterfly pupa . What she means is that she will transform form a pupa to a butterfly in this life ]

The phoenix bracelet on her hand has long been fused with her flesh and blood,with a lifelike phoenix tattooed on her wrist, spreading its wings and flying high.

Lan Shiruo looked around the space.

There wad a dilapidated thatched house, surrounded by fields and pastures as far as the eye could see .

There was a concrete floor between, on which stood a  warehouse that can store infinite things.

The fields and pastures were all empty.

In her last life, Lan Shiruo only planted a few fields to use as food for her family.

She was busy that first year after the apocalypse and didn’t have the energy to grow anything else.

In the next five years, she hated everything and everyone and didn’t want to grow anything.

The space had not been well used, but it was convenient to store a few material that she occasionally found.
