IRAT Chapter 2

It’s different now. She has a little Lebao, a lover, friends, and partners to raise.
Her space must be used well.

The general smelled the baby, and did not dare to lick him for fear of hurting the little guy.

Little Lebao seemed to be sensitive. His little hand moved , which happened to fall on Jiangxiang’s ear .

The small, soft touch made Jiangxiang’s ear tremble. He tilted his head and didn’t dare to move. He looked a bit dull. So Cute!

Lan Shiruo was amused and rubbed the general’s head.

“It’s okay, you can’t hurt him if you touch him slightly. Jiangxiang, it’s dangerous outside now, but we have to go out to find food and find Xiao Lebao’s father. Are you scared?”

The general is very smart and can understand most words, except that he can’t reply back.

Lan Shiruo smiled, fed the little guy again, changed his diaper, and put him in his small makeshift nest properly.

She found a backpack and carried it on her chest as a cover.

She also carried a big bag behind her back to cover up the existence of her space.

She asked Jiangxiang to tear down the iron frame of the bed, and took an iron rod in her a hand as a weapon,
She  made a blade like surface on the rod.

The carrion needed to have its head cut off or blown off to really lose its attack ability.

She was finally prepared.
One person and one dog looked at each other and saw the firmness and passion in each other’s eyes.

On the first night of the end of the world, many people had not reacted yet.

It was the best time for them to stock up.

The first stop is naturally the hospital where they are .

Medicine and medical supplies have been important since ancient times.

She turned the doorknob. The clicking sound was particularly startling in the silent night.

Lan Shiruo glanced out from the crack in the door. The lights were flickering, and several nurses and doctors that turned into carrion wandered in twos and threes in the corridor .

This is a medium-to-high-class single-room ward, and there are not many people.

Basic carrion is similar to zombies.

She opened the door . Jiangxiang shot out like sharp arrow. In the blink of an eye, several carrion corpses had their heads cut off by sharp claws.

Most of the people inside had become carrion . Of those that were still alive, some were still asleep, and some woke up and squatted under the bed or shivered in the toilet.

Then they continued to go up.

The higher you go, the more specialized  the wards got , the fewer the number of personnel, and the more noble the patients who were admitted there.

However, now, it is hard to say whether they were respectable or not.

Some bodyguards and nurses were dealt with on the the way.

The others were not seen. The comatose or normal people were not seen.

Maybe they all left at the beginning of the apocalypse . After all, the rich do cherish their lives.

This is convenient for Lan Shiruo. Although there are not many things in these wards , the equipment she found were all exquisite pieces.

Down is the civilian area, it was crowded with people, and the corridors are full of people sleeping.

Lan Shi does not intend to waste time, those places must have a lot of carrion.

“Jiangxiang, let’s take the elevator.”

Lan Shiruo went down with an iron rod, and made the head of the next carrion corpse explode.

One person, one dog, with a clear division of labor, and tacit cooperation, quickly solved the carrion, and got into the elevator.

Before the end of the world, she was considered a small celebrity, and was spoiled .

Editor’s note : a little explanation
In this novel , when the apocalypse happened , there was an acid rain and a virus . This virus infected every living creature -instantly- so plants , animals and humans were infected .
Most people died and turned into carrion , which feed on the human beings that are left alive.
Those left alive are a minority , most of them had no change whatsoever , but few of them developed superpowers . Also most plants and animals developed superpowers.
