IRAT chapter 3

Jiangxiang suddenly rushed out, so fast that only his afterimages could be seen.

He used his huge body to make way through the herd of carrions. It would take them too much time to cut every carrion’s head .

It would buy his master and him some time to knock the carrions down and make them fall . Most of these carrions lack agility , it would be difficult for them to get up again after falling down.

Lan Shiruo saw the opportunity Jiangxiang gave her.She rushed out and hit the head of the carrion blocking the way until it exploded.

From the elevator’s door to the pharmacy, it was only a few tens of meters. But the time they took to get there seemed like several centuries.If they delay for even a few seconds, they will really be overwhelmed by carrion.

“Thank you, Jiangxiang”
She briefly praised her little friend who was breathing heavily with his tongue lolling out .

The carrion that had just surrounded the elevator’s door began to drift their way again , wanting to surround them . Time is of the essence.

Jiangxiang lifted his paw , to violently break the door. He revealed his claws , but someone hurriedly yelled from inside the pharmacy’s closed door to stop him .

“Don’t ! don’t break the door! those monsters will come inside if you do!”

Lan Shiruo frowned. There were still people alive in there?

There actually were more than ten of them . They should be the pharmacists who usually dispense medicine .they can be considered unlucky because none of them has awakened their abilities.

”Forget it. Jiangxiang ,let’s go to the warehouse instead.”

She then said to the people inside
”If I were you, I would come out and leave now !”

“No, no, no! only death is waiting for us if we go out!  We have to wait for rescue.”

Rescue? Lan Shiruo sneered. It’s impossible for them to be rescued in this lifetime.
The moment the acid rain came, the authorities responded with their fastest speed, but they were far from being prepared enough.They did not expect that there would be man-made disasters hidden under the guise of the natural disaster.

The acid rain was a natural disaster, but the virus that came with it was a man-made disaster.

The virus came suddenly , and quickly affected  the entire planet without anything being spared.This virus is highly active, contagious, and destructive.It spreads rapidly through the air, and it treats you equally whether you have money or power.
The whole world is in chaos. Either you save yourself or you die.Who has time to rescue other people?
Think about it … How many high-level people have fallen at this time, and how many low-levels have risen?

She turned around and left quickly.
The people inside the pharmacy opened their mouths and wanted to shout, but they were afraid of attracting monsters, so they could only shut up.

“Do you think she can escape?”
“So what if she escaped? Who knows what the scene outside is like? She doesn’t know how high the sky is! She just set out to die!”
Everyone turned silent, shivering in the corner.
The smell of medicine in the pharmacy concealed their scent, and temporarily saved their lives.

Lan Shiruo and Jiang Xiang shuttled through the carrion pile.Her gray sportswear was all dirty, the original color was no longer visible.
The blood red hairs on Xiang Xiang’s body were all glued together, becoming very hard and uncomfortable.

Lan Shiruo waved her numb arms, cut off the head of an old woman carrion, and panted .She comforted Jiangxiang.

” Be Patient for a little while, wait until we get to the warehouse, then we will rest.”

There should not be many people in the warehouse.

“Woo,” I got it.
He pounced , his sharp claws hit the head of a rotting bald man,splitting  his head directly into two.

The warehouse is at the other end of the hospital . They encountered fewer and fewer carrion corpses along the way. On the other hand , ther were a lot of carrions following behind them.

Seeing a door at the end of the corridor, Lan Shiruo was overjoyed.

“Jiangxiang, hurry! We will be able to relax when we close the door!”

“Woo.”
Jiang Xiang jumped up and grabbed two carrion heads.He turned around and urged Lan Shiruo,
“Woo.” Hurry up.
Lan Shiruo smashed the head of one of the carrion corpse that Jiangxiang was holding onto.However, her arms were really weak. His head was not split, but her weapon was embedded in it and she could not pull it out.
She gritted her teeth and flicked her hand letting go of the metal rod. Then she turned around , and ran towards the gate, passing a few carrion corpses.Without a weapon, she didn’t dare to fight hard and could only dodge.

Jiangxiang swiftly turned around to respond, and directly knocked over a few carrion corpses , while Lan Shiruo ran inside the gate.She closed the door after Jiangxiang came into the warehouse.

The mastiff on the other hand was responsible for cleaning up the few corpses there.

A wave of corpses swarmed around the closed door. After losing the smell of living creatures, the tide of corpses gradually subsided, and began to wander aimlessly.

One person and one dog slumped in the corner, panting.They glanced at each other, and laughed silently.

Lan Shiruo rubbed Jiangxiang’s head.

Being rubbed by a dirty hand, Jiangxiang was disgusted, and snarled his teeth.
It is a clean Tibetan mastiff !

“Good, let’s go to the warehouse, and clean it out slowly.”

“Woohoo.” Okay.
He stood aside and shook his fur desperately, feeling much better. Lan Shiruo watched the snow-white wall becoming instantly colorful after Jiangxiang shook his fur , and the corners of her mouth twitched.
Okay, morality is no longer important in this world.

“Jiangxiang, let’s go.”

They met no accidents. Because there is a fixed time for warehouse to replenish the goods, there usually are no people, only a few administrators.

The warehouse is very large, occupying more than half of the ground floor of the entire hospital building. It was several hundred square meters.There is also a basement dedicated to storing equipment.
Outside the warehouse, the gate was locked. There should be no one inside.
The acid rain started at 0:00 this morning. At that time, the workers in the warehouse were off work.When the rain continued until 10 in the morning , the lazy warehouse management didn’t come to work .

Jiangxiang took out his sharp claws, and directly cut a hole in the thick and big iron gate , enough for one person and one dog to easily pass through.

Just in case, Jiangxiang ran a circle inside the warehouse to make sure that there were no people and carrion inside.

When she turned on the lights, she saw the shelves full of neatly arranged medicines , all categorically marked .

Lan Shiruo destroyed all the cameras . She doesn’t have time to avoid them one by one.
It doesn’t matter whether the footage can be dug out in the future or not. She will be more at ease after destroying them.

After they blocked the hole in the gate , they continued to the basement.There is a special passage that connects the warehouse to the basement.It’s also connected to the underground driveway for the convenience of restocking and unloading.

The administrator’s instructions were all there.Lan Shiruo took a look and remembered everything in her head.

The way from the warehouse to the basement is a spacious, about 20 to 30 meters long, which is convenient for carts.

The passage is very empty, and the sound of their breathing is echoing clearly.

Lan Shiruo pulled Jiangxiang over and stopped,

“Do you hear any sound?” She Leaned into Jiangxiang’s ear and asked softly.

He tilted his head and his ears stood up instantly, “Woo”

With a low whimper, he jumped out quickly.

Lan Shiruo pursed her lips tightly.

Without a weapon in her hands, she felt a little less secure.she Leaned against the wall of the passage,and moved slowly step by step. She doesn’t know if it is because of unstable power supply, the lights are always flickering and flashing, making her anxious.

Jiang Xiang hasn’t returned yet.

Lan Shi is not too worried, because Jiang Xiang has always been her friend no matter the circumstances.Since he chose to leave her here, it proves that there is no threat to her here.It is also possible for him to come back and help her at any time, because he’s probabaly not too far away.

There’s an open gate at the end of the passage. Jiangxiang rushed through it.

When Lan Shiruo reached the end, she leaned against the door to see.Inside were all kinds of equipment, both new and old.
She didn’t see any suspicious people or carrion . It was then that Jiangxiang came back,

“Wow.” He whispered twice.

“There were two carrion corpses?”

“Wang.” Yes.

“Did you destroy them ?”

“Wang.” Yes.

“okay, let’s take a look around.”
