Yan Hai’an looked at Sun Yan with dead and tired eyes at this time. He had gone beyond contempt for this animal. He had in fact turned to admire him instead. What a persistent stallion this animal is. Why is it so difficult to control his lust?

“Bro, we might wake people up at night!” Yan Hai’an was a little shaken when he was forced by Sun Yan to walk towards the big tree. He had only heard of outdoor sex before. But he had never experienced it.

“I can’t even see my fingers. Who the hell can see what we’re doing?” Sun Yan smiled and said, “Well, as long as you don’t scream.”

The two held each other and went to the back of the big tree. They are completely covered by the darkness of the night. However, reality is never as smooth as imagination. They have no condoms or lubricants. So they have to work hard with semen and saliva. Yan Hai’an held on to the tree with his hands. He tried his best to lower his waist and raise his hips in order to make it easy for Sun Yan to move.

“Have you been bitten by mosquitoes?” Yan Hai’an understood the situation immediately but he didn’t take it seriously. “Just wipe some saliva on the bump.”

Seeing that he was about to fall asleep, Sun Yan asked incredulously, “Aren’t you bitten too?”

“Mosquitoes here like to bite outsiders.” Yan Hai’an didn’t really care as he answered. It might not be the truth. He just made up a sentence and yawned, “Sleep. Go to sleep.”

Mosquitoes in the countryside are very strong, Sun Yan thought to himself. Sun Yan, who normally does outdoor sports, has a high body temperature. Thus, it is unknown as to how many mosquitoes have been attracted to his body heat.

Sun Yan said bitterly: “They’re really like dogs.”

Yan Hai’an turned his head in half-asleep mode to respond: “Who the hell are you calling a dog?”

Sun Yan: “…”

Holding his beloved tightly, Sun Yan closed his eyes in pain. He finally fell asleep and was still woken up to being bitten several times at night. The mosquitoes there didn’t realise that they had tasted the blood of a rich man. They kept coming at him and bit him, making Sun Yan very miserable. It wasn’t until the early hours of the morning when there was the sound of a rooster crowing that Sun Yan was no longer being attacked by the mosquitoes.

With the blessing of Sun Yan’s living mosquito coil, Yan Hai’an slept soundly until he woke up naturally. When he looked at the time, it was exactly 8 o’clock in the morning. His parents and elder brother should have woken up early. They should have been worried not to wake Sun Yan up so they didn’t come upstairs.

He wanted to get up, but was held down by Sun Yan in his half-asleep state: “Sleep with me for a while…”

Yan Hai’an’s body was uncomfortable after lying down for a long time. But Sun Yan’s arm was tightly trapped around his waist, so he could only sit on the bed with him.

“Didn’t sleep well last night?” Yan Hai’an bent down and asked.

Sun Yan snorted and continued to sleep, ignoring him.

Yan Hai’an wanted to say something, but suddenly felt a little alarmed. This panic was inexplicable and he squinted his eyes suspiciously: “Is the bed shaking?”

Just in a few moments, the ground started shaking.

Sun Yan jolted up awake. Yan Hai’an understood what was happening and he shouted, “There is an earthquake!”

The cement and roof rustled down and the two of them were almost shaken out of the bed. Before they could rush out of the door, Yan Hai’an suddenly threw Sun Yan to the ground. He shouted as he felt a sharp pain in his back. His mind went blank. He only remembered to protect the person who was clinging to his chest.

The other half of the second-storey building fell suddenly, leaving their side swaying as it crumbled down. The prefabricated panels on the roof fell down one after another. However, they were lucky. They just happened to be lying in the aisle between the bed and the desk which they hated so much last night. The disgustingly small space saved their lives this time. The heavy objects on both sides shared the burden of the fallen debris so that they were not buried alive.

Sun Yan was pressed down underneath Yan Hai’an: “Yan Hai’an!?”

The earthquake has not stopped yet. Everything is still shaking around them and the prefabricated panels that have been broken into several sections are squeezing them. Yan Hai’an let out a pained cry.

Sun Yan shouted, “What’s wrong with you?!”

Yan Hai’an felt like dying with such excruciating pain in his entire upper body, so he replied, “It’s okay, I’m not dead yet!”

Sun Yan wanted to touch him. But due to the limited space, he could only touch his waist, which was wet and felt very slippery in his hands.

“You’re bleeding.” Sun Yan’s pupils narrowed and enlarged several times. The feeling he has at this moment is similar to that back in the Spring Festival of that year, when he learned of the plane accident which had killed both of his parents. His frightened teeth rattled and he couldn’t control his emotions at all: “You’re bleeding!”

Yan Hai’an didn’t know how much he was injured. He was aware that it should be serious, but he sensed the abnormal fear in Sun Yan’s tone. So he instead comforted him: “It’s just a little knock. It’s normal to bleed a little.”

Sun Yan felt suffocated for a moment. He then turned his head and shouted to the space where there was a gap: “Is there anyone?! Is there anyone outside! Someone is injured here!”

Yan Hai’an listened carefully. He felt his ears ring and he couldn’t tell why: “It’s okay. My parents and my brother went out already. They will definitely find someone to rescue us.”

But Sun Yan couldn’t listen to him at all. He didn’t give up shouting for help. His voice soon became unbearable and desperate. He coughed nervously like a dying beast: “We’ll be fine. Someone will come to us soon. Su Yin is still here as well.  He will come soon. You must hold on.”

However, Yan Hai’an wondered if something bad might also happen to Su Yin.

An aftershock struck and the rumbling sound came like a warning before the arrival of death. A small part of the house collapsed again and the prefabricated panels behind him pressed against Yan Hai’an for some depth.

Yan Hai’an almost thought he was going to be squeezed to death. He opened his mouth. The dull pain in his back seemed like it was about to sever him entirely. What was more painful was his chest cavity. The strike was probably at the position of the lungs. The pain seemed to be burning. He had difficulty breathing. So, he tried his best to lean to the side to avoid pressing on Sun Yan. At the same time, there was a smell of blood coming from his mouth. But he didn’t dare to make too much noise, for fear of irritating the person underneath him.

But Sun Yan was already irritated. He fell into an extreme panic, desperately trying to hold on to Yan Hai’an: “How are you feeling? Where is the injury? Huh? Hurry up and tell me!”

Yan Hai’an said calmly: “Maybe the back was hit a little bit badly. It must be broken.”

“You shouldn’t have done anything…” Sun Yan muttered to himself, like an order or a pleading, “Shouldn’t have done anything…”

“I’ll be fine.” Yan Hai’an swallowed the blood back. He touched his forehead to Sun Yan’s cheek and rubbed it with difficulty, “I’ll be fine. Sun Yan, the two of us… will be okay.”

“Hai’an! Sun Yan!” Yan Haijian’s voice came dimly, “Hai’an! Hai’an! Can you hear me?!”

Sun Yan and Yan Hai’an were both refreshed. Regardless of the dry throat, Sun Yan shouted, “We’re fine! Hai’an is injured! Find someone to save us!”

Yan Haijian outside seemed to be relieved as well. He reported their safety to the anxious Lu Suju and the others. But he didn’t dare to climb up, for fear that the building that had already collapsed would collapse more: “You hold on! I’ll find someone to rescue you!”

“Hurry up!” Sun Yan responded irritably, putting his lips on Yan Hai’an’s forehead, “Baby, you heard them. They will save us soon.”

Yan Hai’an breathed quickly and hummed. He was already in so much pain and didn’t want to speak anymore.

If he didn’t say a word, Sun Yan couldn’t hold back his fear. So Sun Yan kept talking to him in a low voice. He talked about his childhood, what happened after meeting Yan Hai’an, and what they were going to do in the future.

Half an hour has passed. And then an hour has passed. They are still buried in the ruins that could collapse at any time.

Yan Hai’an’s head is dizzy, which may be due to poor breathing or excessive blood loss. But Sun Yan kept talking. His voice was hoarse and desperate. He begged Yan Hai’an to respond from time to time.

Yan Hai’an was losing his consciousness but he subconsciously said: “It’s alright. We’ll be alright.”

He felt like he was talking as usual, but in fact, he only let out a few breaths.

He faintly heard cries. Not only from his parents outside, but also from Sun Yan. Because his forehead felt wet with water.

Yan Hai’an forcefully pulled his mind out of the dark abyss.

He said, “Sun Yan, don’t be afraid.”

One second. Two seconds passed.

Sun Yan said angrily: “Who the hell made you jump to protect me?! You are sick, Yan Hai’an!? You should protect yourself! Why are you protecting me?!”

He cursed loudly. His voice became hoarse and unpleasant to the death. Every sentence was incoerent. It was as if he was about to cry out blood.

Yan Hai’an thought to himself that he didn’t know why either. He didn’t know why he jumped to protect him like that. He did it without thinking. How can you blame me? Well, just don’t bother about it next time, he thought bitterly.

Sun Yan stopped talking. In the dead silence, there was only his desperate gasp, while Yan Hai’an’s breathing sound was so light that it looked like it would stop in the next second. It was so heavy that every breath blew on his anxious heart.

He choked and trembled as he said, “I beg you. Don’t die. Don’t you dare die, okay?”

Yan Haian wanted to say that ‘I would not die’.

But instead, he said; “I love you.”

Sun Yan felt like he was struck by lightning. It caused him to become as stiff as a corpse. It was as if a string that was too tight was finally let loose.

But the strange thing was that he wasn’t afraid anymore. He stopped shaking and his brain no longer looked like a mush when the blood had dropped to freezing point. He even smiled and said: “I love you too.”

Yan Hai’an no longer responded.

Sun Yan gently kissed the area of the skin that he could touch, as if saying to Yan Hai’an and also to himself: “Don’t be afraid. Baby, I will accompany you wherever you go.”
