Jin Wuqi stayed in the hospital for a few days to rest. His glands gradually reduced swelling. During this time, Song Zhimu wanted to come see him but was refused.
After discharge, he didn’t rest and returned to the company, staying late every day. Despite Du Yele’s attempts to persuade or get angry with him, he remained focused on his work. He declined all social events and gatherings, citing his health, and handled all negotiations in his office or conference room.
He was waiting for Wei Yi to come find him.
And the day came.
When he drove back that night, he saw the alpha standing under the tree outside the villa area.

Wei Yi smirked, “I want you to be like this; scared to death of me.”

Alpha pheromones surged, Jin Wuqi’s eyes reddened. Tears welled up in his eyes. His stomach churned and he felt a wave of suffocation stronger than before.

Upon hearing the name, Jin Wuqi’s breath quickened. The panic on his face was undeniable.

Wei Yi let go coldly. Jin Wuqi leaned against a tree, gasping for air, unable to say another word.

Jin Wuqi took a deep breath as he slowly stood up straight. He walked out of the shadows.
“Mr. Jin?” The security guard ran over. He looked at Wei Yi behind him and asked, “Who is this?”
“It’s okay. We know each other. We just had a little disagreement,” Jin Wuqi smiled. “It’s all settled now.”
Wei Yi chuckled softly as he turned and walked away.
After the guard left, Jin Wuqi stood still. As soon as he lowered his head, he smelled the alpha pheromones on his collar.
Unable to bear it any longer, he bent over and vomited.

The next day, Jin Wuqi woke up to a photo sent to him by Song Zhimu.
It showed him and Wei Yi standing under a tree. The photo was blurry. But from the top-down perspective, Wei Yi was leaning in extremely close to him and their posture looked as if they were kissing.
At that moment, Jin Wuqi was being grabbed by the collar by Wei Yi. The alpha pheromones made him feel nauseous.
