Yu Cheng was sitting in the living room watching cartoons. Yu Yang was leaning on the other end of the sofa, keeping his distance from his son, half-heartedly responding to Yu Cheng’s chatter.
A car pulled up outside. Yu Cheng immediately jumped up and ran towards the door.
Yu Yang irritably glanced at him. He then stood up and followed.
As soon as Jin Wuqi came out of the garage, Yu Cheng hugged him. Despite being a fairly big kid, he insisted on clinging to Jin Wuqi. Yu Yang walked over and pulled him away, saying, “How old are you? Still so clingy?”
Yu Cheng blinked his innocent big eyes and looked pitifully at Jin Wuqi.
Jin Wuqi pressed his temples and said ruthlessly, “I really can’t carry you anymore.”
Yu Cheng turned and reached out to Yu Yang, who resignedly picked him up and said, “Alright, take a bath and go to bed early. You have school tomorrow.”

Yu Cheng reached under the pillow, felt the thickness of the money, then obediently lay down and said, “I’ll fall asleep right away.”

When he came out of Yu Cheng’s room, Jin Wuqi had already finished his bath and was drying his hair.

Jin Wuqi laughed and handed the towel to Yu Yang, saying, “Help me dry my hair.”
Yu Yang took the towel. He raised his hand to dry Jin Wuqi’s hair and asked, “Are you tired?”
“Tired,” Jin Wuqi said, turning around with a lazy smile, “but I still have the energy to make love.”
“Wasn’t thinking about that,” Yu Yang said with a serious face. “I made you a late-night snack.”
The so-called late-night snack was cookies that he and Yu Cheng had made, with an extremely unappealing appearance. Yu Yang casually grabbed some alcohol and sat on the balcony with Jin Wuqi, enjoying the breeze.

He lifted Jin Wuqi and went back to the room. But before he could kiss him, there were a few knocks on the door. Yu Cheng was outside saying, “Dad, I haven’t eaten the cookies we made together when I came back from school today.”
“Throw them away,” Yu Yang said, turning back to the door. “We made a mistake. Those cookies are inedible. Let’s make them again next time.”
Jin Wuqi’s hand had already reached Yu Yang’s lower body. But Yu Cheng was still chattering outside, “How come? You even praised me for doing a good job at the time.”
“Go back to bed first,” Yu Yang gritted his teeth and pinched Jin Wuqi’s waist, saying, “Otherwise, give me the money back.”
“I’ll go back to bed now!” Yu Cheng shouted and then ran away quickly.
“You’ve taught him to be money-minded,” Jin Wuqi said.
Yu Yang chuckled and bent down to kiss him. “There’s no other way. Sometimes you have to spend money for some peace and quiet.”
Yu Cheng lay alone on the bed, thinking for a while. He took out the money from under his pillow and quietly stuffed it into the drawer of the table.
His dad was a cunning man. He often gave him money to go to bed early the night before, only to sneak into his room the next day while he was still asleep and take the money back. He had to be more cautious this time.
