When Wu Ruo arrived at the main hall, he saw that there were two large boxes at the feet of the boss of the tailor’s store, and the boss of the jewelry store was holding two small boxes in their hands.

Hei Xuanyi closed the book and placed it on the table, its cover facing down, hugged Wu Ruo, then he glanced at the boxes that the bodyguard had brought over: “So much?”
Ever since being agitated by Wu Yuxue, the person in Hei Xuanyi’s embrace was no longer like he used to be in the past, getting embarrassed by the slightest bit of physical contact. Now, Wu Ruo had become especially clingy to Hei Xuanyi, and was also especially close to him. The intimacy between the two of them was very obviously closer than it used to be. He liked the feeling of Wu Ruo leaning against his embrace, sometimes, he even felt that that incident was a good thing.

Wu Ruo closed the doors to the building and sat on the chair that Hei Xuanyi was previously sitting on: “I want to watch you changing into the robes.”
Hei Xuanyi placed the robes in his hands onto the chair next to him, undid the belts of his robes, took off his robes, and he could immediately feel a burning gaze shooting straight at his body.
He looked up and was met with the sight of Wu Ruo staring at his chest unblinkingly.
The collar of his inner robes were on the lower side, revealing his strong and sturdy chest.
Wu Ruo stared till his mouth and tongue were dry. The moment that Hei Xuanyi glanced over, he hurriedly turned his gaze away.

Wu Ruo flipped to the cover of the book to look at its title, two words ‘Bedroom Tactics2This was the book Hei Xin bestowed upon Hei Xuanyi back in Chapter 31 LMAO‘ were written on it: “!!!!!!”
He’d always thought that Hei Xuanyi was reading decent and respectable literature. He never would’ve thought that Hei Xuanyi was reading this sort of book in broad daylight.
Wu Ruo wanted to close the book, but his hands flipped the book page by page, no longer under his control.

Wu Ruo replied without looking up: “It’s good.”
“Is the book good, or does the person look good3好看 (hao kan): this phrase can be used quite broadly. When used to refer to a person, it can be translated as ‘good-looking’. When used to refer to a book, it can be translated as ‘interesting’. Hei Xuanyi initially asks if it’s hao kan, quite ambiguously. Then later, he asks if it’s the book that is hao kan or if it’s the person that is hao kan. I tried to retain as much of the original nuance as possible, but it was a little difficult and I’m still not satisfied, so I leave this footnote.? Hn?”
When Wu Ruo heard this, he instantly looked up, and met eyes with a teasing gaze. He couldn’t help awkwardly closing the book: “You look good.”
Hei Xuanyi was indeed good-looking, especially after changing out of his all-black robes and changing into black robes embroidered with small white flowers. He looked much younger, and it added a few degrees of elegance to his cold bearing. He was so gorgeously handsome that Wu Ruo couldn’t hold back from going forward to hug him. Hei Xuanyi’s breathing turned heavy, as he kissed the curve of Wu Ruo’s ear, he took off Wu Ruo’s robes, allowing the two fiery hot body parts to press more closely together without any barriers. Black strands tangled together, scents blending; the sounds of the two people’s gasping breaths were like a qin and se singing in perfect harmony4琴瑟和鸣 (qin se he ming): the idiom refers to something that is ‘in synchrony’. The qin and the se are string instruments that harmonize well together, and is a euphemism referring to a married couple. When they are said to harmonize well together, it means that the couple are suitable for each other and have a good relationship. This doesn’t necessarily refer only to sexual acts, it can also refer to the chemistry and compatibility between a married couple, how well they get along, etc., intermingling melodiously, chorusing together for a long time without a break.
The bodyguards outside heard the sounds of skin slapping against skin and moaning noises coming from inside the building and they were all so embarrassed that they retreated out of the courtyard. No one dared to interrupt the two people inside of the building who were making love to each other to their heart’s content.
Late at night, the moonlight rose in the sky, and then bashfully set again. After that, the sun peeked out through the layers of clouds again. Only then did the rough gasps inside the building gradually come to a stop.
Wu Ruo sprawled across Hei Xuanyi’s chest, panting, touching the little red dot next to his face5Hei Xuanyi’s nipple., and let out a satisfied smile. This was his first time making love ever since he’d fallen for Hei Xuanyi, and it was also the first time that he’d done it without restraint with this man for a whole day and night. Although his body was aching and in pain, but he was completely willing. He wished that he could meld into one body with Hei Xuanyi.
Hei Xuanyi held the misbehaving hand on his body still: “Sleep for a little.”

So what Hei Xuantang is saying is: when they’re celibate, they really barely have any physical touch, but once they start going, they go hard LMAO”
Wu Ruo was a little embarrassed; it was because he repeatedly pestered Hei Xuanyi asking for it.
Wu Qianqing coughed lightly. As a woman, Guan Tong didn’t even dare to look at the both of them.
Wu Xi’s expression was full of ignorance: “Erge, what did you do?”
Dandan took the initiative to crawl onto Wu Ruo’s body, asking with concern: “Daddy, are you sick again?”

Translating familial relations into English is tough because it’s a little easier to parse in Chinese, but a lot harder to track in English since family trees don’t hold the same cultural prominence in English speaking cultures.. His name is Yao Jinkun, furen‘s great-grandmother is his paternal aunt. And the person who helped Wu Yuxue to break the gu sorcery is a person called Sang Lun. His identity is extremely strange. Although he dresses like us, but I noticed that he wears a bracelet of human skulls made of silver on his wrists and doesn’t seem like someone from around here.”
But why would this person called Sang Lun want to target Wu Ruo?
Could it be because of Ba Se?
The more Wu Ruo thought about it, the more he felt that this was a possibility.
When Sang Lun enspelled Wu Yuxue, getting her to pursue Hei Xuanyi, he was probably trying to sow discord between he and Hei Xuanyi. Hei Xuanyi, who hadn’t congratulated Wu Ruo at all this entire time, said indifferently: “Find his accomplices and kill them straight away.”

The first generation starts with your father, then the second generation up would be your grandfather who is your 祖父 zu fu. After that, every generation has its own prefix to the term zu fu. The third generation up is 曾 zeng, the fourth is 高 gao, the fifth is 天 tian, the sixth is 烈 lie, the seventh is 太 tai, the eighth is 远 yuan, and finally the ninth generation of ancestors above you is simply referred to as your 始祖 shi zu, which literally can translate to ‘original/first/starting ancestor’. For simplicity’s sake moving forward, I will be shortening this ancestor’s title as 3rd-great-grandfather. would like to see furen, qinjia Master11Qinjia refers to one’s in-laws. There’s no straightforward way to translate this title into English. Longer explanation for this in chapter 47., and the others.”
Wu Ruo took the invitation card from Hei Xin and said mockingly: “He’s even dragged 3rd-great-grandfather out, Wu Chenzi must be worried that we won’t keep to the appointment. I just wonder how big of a scheme is there waiting for us to fall into it.”
Hei Xin asked: “If furen doesn’t wish to go, you can reject it.”
“If we don’t go, there are certain things that can’t be accomplished.” Wu Ruo clung close to Hei Xuanyi’s ear and quietly said a few things.
Hei Xuanyi frowned.
“I know this isn’t a very good idea, and I don’t want you to do this either, but who told Wu Yuxue to fall for you?” Wu Ruo glared at him. In his previous lifetime, it had been like this. In this lifetime, it was also like this. These were all troubles brought upon them by this face: “Do you still have any false skins?
