MROM Chapter 120

As a student who doesn’t have to worry about making a living, An Wuyang had only visited the Huo Corporation a handful of times—so few that he could count them on one hand.

As a result, the employees of Huo Corporation had only heard about the legendary second boss but had never actually seen him.

Secretary Chen, who was always by Huo Yunchuan’s side, had seen Mr. An several times and always had a very good impression of him.

The most recent meeting was at a business banquet over half a year ago, where the boss had brought Mr. An along at the last minute.

It was winter then, and Mr. An, who hadn’t planned to attend the formal event, wore a set of casual, stylish winter clothes in warm colors, looking youthful and energetic.

He stood next to the boss with a smile, and although he seemed somewhat out of place in that setting, the couple holding hands appeared remarkably well-matched, as if they were meant to be together.

Now, after more than half a year, Secretary Chen saw the young man laughing and chatting with the boss, which was quite surprising. He quickly greeted them, “Boss, Mr. An, good morning.”

The brightly smiling young man waved back, “Hi, Secretary Chen, good morning,” and joked, “Long time no see. Why are you still wearing that suit?”

“Uh…” Secretary Chen never imagined that the usually reserved and quiet Mr. An would joke with him.

“Playful, aren’t we? Aren’t suits always like this?” Huo Yunchuan said, his words scolding but his tone indulgent, leading the young angel to the office by the wrist.

“Haha…” Once Secretary Chen realized what was happening, he happily followed, “Mr. An, what brings you here today?”

“Because I’m about to graduate, I might soon join your company,” An Wuyang said, jokingly.

“Really?” Secretary Chen was thrilled, “Are you really coming?”

That would definitely make the atmosphere at the company much better, and when the boss lost his temper, there would be no need to worry about him destroying the company.

“I’m just kidding,” An Wuyang saw that Secretary Chen took him seriously and quickly added, “We only need one person working in our family, especially since we have a child. You know, your boss handles work outside, and I take care of things at home.”

Secretary Chen repeatedly agreed, “That makes sense.”

Huo Yunchuan thought to himself that it sounded so genuine, but in reality, he was still the one handling both work and home. However, a smart man would never expose his shortcomings outside.

As they chatted and laughed along the way, some surrounding staff members couldn’t help but feel a bit envious.

It seemed that Secretary Chen was very familiar with Mr. An.

Soon, those who had the chance to enter the CEO’s office took the opportunity to secretly observe the legendary Mr. An.

Contrary to the vibrant and lively young man they saw in the hallway earlier, the young man now quietly sat on the sofa, drinking water.

He did indeed look very young, with a youthful quality that clearly showed a significant age difference between him and their boss.

Mr. An’s features were as handsome as in the photos, with fair, smooth, and tight skin that indicated he was well cared for.

Perhaps sensitive to being watched, the young man looked up and smiled at a female colleague who had come in to report work.

Her clear and kind eyes made the female colleague, who had been in the workplace for years, feel a sense of sentimentality. Only someone who was carefully loved would retain such an expression at this age.

If no one cared for or nurtured him, his eyes might reveal some reservations or doubts about the world.

“I should have known not to come; I hope I didn’t disrupt your work…”

As the female colleague left the CEO’s office, she still remembered Mr. An’s… what could be called coquettishness towards the boss.

One could imagine the boss blushing and panting while kissing Mr. An, who then obediently complied…

But in reality, Huo Yunchuan did not do that. Instead, he let the young angel play games and browse the internet on a laptop while he used a desktop computer to work and guide the young angel in playing games.

Given An Wuyang’s terribly poor gaming skills.

After finishing his work on the desktop computer, Mr. Huo played games with him, showing off and having fun.

Secretary Chen listened to the sounds of the game filling the office, feeling a mix of emotions: “…” After all, just last Monday during the meeting, the boss had warned certain employees about playing games during work hours.

However, seeing the boss and Mr. An having so much fun made Secretary Chen happy as well, he thought.

Then, he continued to handle his work as best as he could, hoping to finish before getting off work so he could call home and say a few sweet words to his wife.

Generally, Huo An would arrive at kindergarten in the morning and stay until 4:30 PM before coming home.

His big dad, who was responsible for picking him up every day, wouldn’t arrive right at 4:30 but would start heading out from the company or home around that time, arriving at the kindergarten by about 5 PM.

While other children anxiously awaited their parents, Huo An was quite different from the rest.

Even the teachers knew early on that Huo An wasn’t the type of child who could be easily bribed with candy; he had strong opinions.

However, today, it seemed that Huo An was in a particularly good mood, wearing a smile all day long.

Curious about his happiness, his teacher couldn’t help but ask, “An An, do you have something happy to share with me?”

Huo An found the nickname “An An,” which was just a repetitive and unoriginal term of endearment, quite silly. However, since that was how the kindergarten teachers spoke, he didn’t feel it was appropriate to voice his disagreement, considering he was just a little boy in the middle class.

“Um, my little dad is coming to pick me up after school today.”

An Wuyang had told him in the morning that on the days he didn’t have class, he would go to pick up their precious son with Huo Yunchuan.

The teacher was, of course, aware of Huo An’s family structure, but the “little dad” Huo An referred to was Mr. Huo’s same-sex partner. From a blood relationship perspective, he had no connection to Huo An… but how good could that relationship really be?

Having been cautioned numerous times by the principal, the head teacher couldn’t help but become intrigued by the complexities of the affluent family’s dynamics and impulsively asked, “So it seems like your relationship is quite good?”

The clever Huo An nodded vigorously and said, “Of course, it’s very good.” However, he was rolling his eyes inside, thinking, *I’m his biological son, do you understand?*

But outsiders didn’t know; Big Dad said this was a family secret and didn’t need to be told.

The teacher felt relieved, realizing that the atmosphere in Huo An’s family was excellent. That made her feel secure: “Your little dad won’t arrive that soon. Would you like to go out and play games with the other kids?”

Huo An replied, “No, thanks.”

He found the childish games boring and the other kids too noisy.

However, not wanting to make things difficult for the teacher, he glanced at the neglected swing and said, “I’ll go play on the swing.”

The teacher sighed in relief again: “Okay, okay, I’ll push you.”

Huo An let out a sigh, torn between refusing the teacher’s kind offer and reluctantly accepting it…

Finally, the clock struck five, and Big Dad’s car pulled up at the kindergarten entrance.

Sharp-eyed Huo An leisurely slung his little backpack over his shoulder and said to his teacher, “Teacher, my dads are here. Goodbye.”

The surprised teacher quickly followed to see Huo An’s little dad, who rarely appeared at the kindergarten.

After all, An Wuyang didn’t have a driver’s license, and his schedule didn’t align with his son’s. The two only had the same schedule during holidays, which made it difficult to pick up and drop off their son together with Huo Yunchuan.

He felt quite regretful about this, so during this busy time with his thesis, he had considered getting a driver’s license so he could pick up Dun Dun in the future.

…But Huo Yunchuan probably wouldn’t let that happen.

Both dads got out of the car and walked in, one handsome and the other refined.

Huo An was overjoyed, though it didn’t show on his face: “Teacher, my dads are here. Goodbye.”

The teacher replied, “Okay, see you tomorrow!”

The two dads nodded at their son’s teacher, then took their precious son from her hands.

“Let’s go home,” An Wuyang volunteered to carry their little giant, Huo An.

“Be careful,” Huo Yunchuan said as he protected them with one arm while using his other hand to carry Huo An’s little backpack.

The family of three walked up to the black SUV, and An Wuyang set Huo An down.

Huo Yunchuan opened the car door, letting the two of them get in first. After making sure they were settled, he closed the door.

An Wuyang sat in the back seat, holding his son’s little hand and asked, “Dun Dun, did you have a good day? Is there anything you want to share with Daddy?”

Before Huo An spoke, he sighed and looked toward the kindergarten he would be returning to tomorrow and said, “Being a kindergarten student is so painful.” He completely ignored the overly cutesy title for his little dad, thinking it was no big deal.

Huo Yunchuan & An Wuyang: “…”

Dun Dun leaned back comfortably in his seat, pouting as he complained, “They’re both noisy and childish,” and added, “The teachers always talk in a high-pitched voice, treating me like I’m mentally challenged. Even when I refuse them, they get all sensitive.”

What a mature kindergarten child he was.

An Wuyang felt a bit worried and said earnestly, “Dun Dun, the teachers aren’t doing it on purpose; it’s just that most kids need to be coddled.” He continued, “If you don’t like playing with the kids in your class, you can play with the kids in the older class.”

Huo An gave him a sideways glance: “Do you think there’s any difference between the middle class and the older class?”

An Wuyang conceded: “…”

In the front seat, Huo Yunchuan’s mouth curved into a smug smile, probably thinking that even if their little angel’s genes had lowered the family standards by half, the Huo family children were still remarkably smart.

“You’re right,” he acknowledged. There really wasn’t much difference between the middle and older classes.

An Wuyang felt a bit anxious, thinking about how smart his son was. What would happen if one day he looked down on his dad’s intelligence?

Dun Dun, who was very sensitive to An Wuyang’s emotions, pressed his little hand against his cheek and said, “Daddy, I want to eat the cake you make.”

His little dad made the best cakes.

They were soft, fluffy, and sweet without being overwhelming.

Just mentioning his specialty instantly brightened An Wuyang’s spirits. He beamed and said, “Okay! Daddy will make you a cake when we get home.”

Huo Yunchuan said, “…” This is how his son got spoiled and chubby, no doubt about it!

However, the treats made by their little angel were indeed getting tastier and tastier, so he added, “I want a piece too.”

After getting out of the car, Huo An and Huo Yunchuan exchanged a glance, both of them having the same thought.

That is—

“Okay, I’m going to make cakes for you two foodies,” An Wuyang announced, his face beaming with pride at serving his family.

Even though he hadn’t achieved his dream of becoming a small business owner with a bakery at eighteen, he had inadvertently become a skilled, supportive partner to the powerful boss.

He was happy.
