MROM Chapter 83

The height difference between them was stark, one was nearly six foot three, while the other was just over five foot seven.

It was never a rewarding task for the shorter one to lean on the taller.

The cunning young man immediately withdrew his hand, and if one looked closely, there was a hint of crimson on his cheeks.

“Okay, you guys talk, I’ll go get some drinks.” After waiting for a while without a waiter coming by, An Wuyang went to get drinks himself.

He heard the man behind him instructing, “You can only get juice.” Without turning his head, he waved his hand to indicate that he understood.

Lan Weiwei, who was intentionally eavesdropping on their conversation, found it amusing. She had never imagined that Huo Yunchuan would be this kind of man.

“Oh?” An Wuyang exclaimed in surprise. “Hey, nice to see you again.” He remembered Lan Weiwei and greeted her as he got his drink.

“Hi,” Lan Weiwei nodded to him, lifting her glass.

Seeing this, An Wuyang also raised his juice, feeling a bit embarrassed. “Kiwi juice, quite good.”

Not wanting to interact with strangers of the opposite sex too much, he lowered his head to pick a suitable drink for Huo Yunchuan.

Seeing his hesitation, Lan Weiwei used her fingers, painted with bright red nail polish, to point to the third bottle from the left. “Maybe he’ll like that.”

An Wuyang froze for a moment, then said, “Thanks. I’m not very knowledgeable about alcohol.” Although he had been studying for a while, the truth was, learning so many things at once required a genius.

Lan Weiwei smiled and exuded charm with every movement.

Now, she had come to terms with the fact that Huo Yunchuan had chosen a partner of the same gender after much deliberation.

Thinking about it, even that powerful woman who had been pregnant couldn’t hold onto Huo Yunchuan. In retrospect, she considered herself lucky to have escaped that fate.

“Here.” An Wuyang returned to Huo Yunchuan’s side and handed him the glass.

“Thank you.” Huo Yunchuan took it, sniffed it, and raised an eyebrow. “This drink…” Normally, he didn’t drink at home, so the little angel wouldn’t know what kind of alcohol he liked.

But today, what he got was the kind of alcohol he used to enjoy.

“How about it? Don’t like it?” An Wuyang asked.

“No, I love it,” Huo Yunchuan said, taking a sip of the drink given to him by the person he liked, feeling happy.

The young man smiled and glanced sideways at the nearby young lady who occasionally paid attention to their conversation. He guessed she was probably one of Dun Dun’s admirers. But he wouldn’t meddle in that.

“School’s starting soon. Won’t you be staying on campus, Yang Yang?” In Huo Xiao’s study, when the father and son were discussing family business, they eventually brought up An Wuyang, who would soon be going back to school.

“No, I won’t be staying,” Huo Yunchuan said without much thought.

But Huo Patriarch interjected, “However, in my opinion, Yang Yang’s age is the perfect time to make friends and experience campus life.”

“Grandfather, letting him stay on campus is very risky.” Huo Yunchuan frowned in disagreement, as if he already foresaw various accidents.

“What Yunchuan considers is not unreasonable. After all, Yang Yang’s situation is special, and staying on campus might be inconvenient…” Huo Xiao supported Huo Yunchuan’s viewpoint.

In fact, there was no need to discuss it. Huo Yunchuan had already purchased a house near An Wuyang’s school, ready to move in at any time.

He went back to the bedroom and patted the hardworking teenager buried in his books. “You’re going to school, and Dun Dun and I will move in with you.”

An Wuyang was overjoyed, leaping up and hanging onto him like a koala. “That’s great! Can I see you both every day?”

“Yes,” Huo Yunchuan replied succinctly.

The campus in early September was bustling with activity.

Those accompanied by parents and those helped with luggage were generally freshmen.

Senior students would often greet freshmen with friendly smiles.

However, there weren’t many freshmen delivered with items; freshmen delivered by someone wearing sunglasses… well, there might be only one.

Since An Wuyang wasn’t staying on campus, he didn’t need to carry luggage. He just had a bottle of really light water, which was quickly taken by Huo Yunchuan.

“Do you need this? Then what should I carry?” The young man felt awkward, feeling like his classmates were watching him, intentionally or unintentionally.

“You just need to live well,” Huo Yunchuan said.

“…”

It’s okay, they were lining up to get their military training uniforms. An Wuyang couldn’t believe that Huo Yunchuan would still show up to hold an umbrella for him during military training.

“Will you be managing my military training?” he asked, feeling uncertain.

“No,” Huo Yunchuan immediately replied.

An Wuyang got the answer he wanted, but… the way he answered was a bit too slick, making him wonder.

After completing the enrollment procedures and receiving their military training uniforms, the new student registration for the day was over.

Huo Yunchuan dropped An Wuyang off at the entrance of the new apartment. “As a university student, go up by yourself.”

He had something to take care of, as agreed earlier.

“Tsk tsk, you’re quite sarcastic,” An Wuyang pursed his lips, unbuckling his seatbelt and getting out of the car.

“Come back,” the big boss called from behind.

The young man lazily turned back. “What?”

“You’re not going to give me a kiss before leaving?” Huo Yunchuan asked.

“Fine.” An Wuyang thought for a moment, then slung his backpack over his shoulder, leaned down, licked the object’s upper lip, and gave a mischievous smile. “Satisfied?”

Huo Yunchuan’s eyes darkened. He grabbed the boy’s jaw, kissed him deeply, and punished the little troublemaker.

“Mmm…” Stealing a kiss didn’t lead to a successful outcome!

Huo Yunchuan had kissed him enough and let him go. “Behave yourself, go back now.”

An Wuyang nodded and turned to go upstairs.

The apartment was still spacious, filled with Dun Dun and An Wuyang’s things, many of which hadn’t been sorted out yet.

When he returned, Auntie Zhang handed him the energetic Dun Dun. “Here, hold him. Auntie will help you organize things.”

“Okay.” The young man carried his five-month-old son, kissing him while walking towards the study, where he put down his backpack.

“Wow, ah!” Little Huo An waved his chubby little hands in the air, his round eyes staring seriously at his dad.

“What are you saying? What do you want to tell me?” An Wuyang found the carrier, strapped the little guy in front of him, and said, “Be good, go to sleep. Dad will read for a while.”

“Ya?” Dun Dun couldn’t resist reaching for the books dangling above his head.

“You little troublemaker…” An Wuyang sighed and reluctantly put the book down, focusing on speaking Martian language with him.

In the afternoon, when Huo Yunchuan returned, Dun Dun, who had been playing in the arms of the adults, reached out his hand to ask for a hug from his dad. “Ah…”

An Wuyang felt indignant. “You weren’t this enthusiastic when I came back. Who has been with you all afternoon, huh, stinky Dun Dun? Go away, go away, go drool all over him.”

Despite being scolded, Dun Dun persistently crawled into his father’s arms until he was embraced.

“Scolded?” Huo Yunchuan lowered his head and kissed the chubby face.

Seeing this, Auntie Zhang chuckled. “Mr. Huo always hugs him whenever he has the time, so of course he kisses him.”

While Huo Yunchuan usually maintained a stern demeanor, he was exceptionally good with children, calmly accepting any crying or tantrums.

An Wuyang, on the other hand, couldn’t handle it. He occasionally had a childish side.

If Dun Dun cried and cried, he would lose his mind, feeling helpless and wishing he could kneel down and beg the little one to stop crying.

The next morning, the young man who was getting ready for school kissed his still-sleeping son and the man who had woken up beside him. “I’m leaving.”

Huo Yunchuan reached out to stop him. “You really don’t want me to take you?”

The person in front was speechless. “How far is it from here to the school?” It was just a few steps away. “Okay, I’m leaving.” With that, he broke free from the other’s grasp.

With his backpack, baseball cap, water bottle, and other essentials, An Wuyang made his way across two streets to the school where he would be spending the next few years.

He thought for a moment, then took out a pair of plain black-framed glasses from his backpack and put them on.

When he entered the classroom, no one noticed him because of his plain attire.

An Wuyang found a mediocre spot based on his height, wondering why everyone liked the back rows. Everyone had sat in the back, leaving only middle seats available for those who arrived later.

“Hello, is this seat taken?”

An Wuyang was lost in thought when a gentle voice sounded above his head.

“No, please, have a seat,” he replied after coming back to his senses.

“Thank you.” The person was tall, obviously a ‘back row enthusiast’, but unfortunately, all the back rows were taken. “I’m Wen Ling, and you, classmate?”

After sitting down, the tall student placed his backpack by his feet and then extended his hand to An Wuyang.

An Wuyang quickly responded, “I’m An Wuyang, nice to meet you,” as he shook Wen Ling’s hand and took off his cap with a smile.

“Hmm, if you’re not nearsighted, why wear glasses?” Wen Ling curiously looked at his new classmate, scrutinizing him in his least favorite way.

However, he noticed that the new classmate wasn’t staring at his attire.

“Oh, this?” An Wuyang awkwardly adjusted his glasses and joked, “Don’t you think I look cool with glasses?”

Wen Ling: “…”

After a while, the surrounding seats filled up. Whether it was An Wuyang’s illusion or not, he felt like the seats around them were selling particularly well after Wen Ling arrived.

There were girls on all sides, but none of them directly greeted Wen Ling.

“Hi, how are you?” Another person greeted An Wuyang while sneaking glances at the girl sitting beside him.

After sitting there for over ten minutes, An Wuyang began to feel like he was popular among girls. “Hello,” he greeted back with a meaningful glance at the girl next to him. “I’m An Wuyang, and he’s Wen Ling.”

That’s all he could do for the girl.

“…My name is Hai Qiong.” The girl secured a good spot and sat down contentedly.

The guy next to her remained indifferent, even resting his head on the desk with his eyes closed.

Finally, a male classmate arrived, similar in height to An Wuyang, with a pair of frameless glasses perched on his nose, the typical look of a top student.

And he was quite the talker!

An Wuyang finally found someone to chat with, and the two of them chattered away, from their elementary school days to the dark days of the college entrance examination, reminiscing about the past.

“Are you a sparrow person?” Wen Ling turned to look at him.

“Huh? No, I’m a dragon.” An Wuyang replied, but it took him a few minutes to realize that Wen Ling was complaining about him being too noisy. His face flushed as he turned away, ending the meeting with the talkative new classmate.
