MROM Chapter 86

Two figures, one in front and one behind, walked through the scorching campus, appearing particularly harmonious.

Passing by the area where instructors trained freshmen, An Wuyang’s heart skipped a beat. He quickly hid behind his tall husband’s figure, tugging at his clothes and muttering, “Forgot to tell you, took a detour.”

“…?” Huo Yunchuan was surprised to learn that his little angel was so timid.

But there was no choice but to go along with him, blocking his way from the nearby area.

Finally escaping the instructor’s sight, An Wuyang breathed a sigh of relief, standing up straight and saying, “I’ll come back tomorrow.”

His husband almost slipped. “Tomorrow, you’re coming back?”

“Yeah.” The little angel said, “We’re all freshmen, so it’s better not to be lazy.” Pausing, he added, “Do we have a mine in our family?”

The topic jumped so suddenly!

Huo Yunchuan: “No mine…”

Little Angel: “Oh.”

The two of them walked back to the classroom and carried the thermal lunchbox they had brought in the morning back home.

Aunt Zhang asked curiously, “Oh, Wuyang, you’re back so early?” And Mr. Huo picked him up, sighing. This couple is really loving.

“Uh, feeling a bit unwell.” An Wuyang said embarrassedly, feeling much cooler as he walked into the air-conditioned room.

Looking up, he saw that his husband had already gone to the bathroom.

He’s probably taking a cold shower.

Well, with this weather, even rolling in bed sheets seems too much trouble…

“Dundun, Daddy’s back again.” An Wuyang hugged his son, speaking on the sofa.

Aunt Zhang said, “Just a quick hug is fine. Hurry up and change out of your camouflage clothes, go on.”

An Wuyang nodded, got up, and stepped into the bathroom.

Inside, the man stood under the water, not turning back.

The young man took off his camouflage clothes, kicked off his pants, and walked over bare naked. He hugged the masculine body from behind.

Huo Yunchuan tilted his head back under the water and immediately wiped his face with his hand. Out of the corner of his eye, he caught sight of the head behind him.

“Quite bold,” he said lazily.

For some reason, An Wuyang felt his ears itching as he heard the words in his ears.

“Not really,” he stepped back, looking as timid as the little lamb mentioned by Wen Ling.

Feeling the slippery skin leave his body, Huo Yunchuan made a sound, whether of disappointment or indifference, it was hard to tell. “Hmm.”

Then he raised his hand to grab a towel, wiped off the water from his body, and tossed the slightly damp towel to An Wuyang. “If you’re not feeling well, rest more.”

An Wuyang pulled the towel off his head and found himself alone in the bathroom.

“… Not what I imagined.”

The next morning, An Wuyang trudged back to school with his bag on his back.

As soon as his classmates saw him, they shouted enthusiastically, “Dumpling classmate—” showing concern for his health first, “Hey, you fainted during military training yesterday, are you okay now?” then straight to the point, “Hehe, are there dumplings today?”

Dumpling… classmate? What on earth?

“I’m fine, no dumplings today,” An Wuyang joked solemnly. “I asked my family yesterday, and we don’t have a mine.”

So no dumplings every day!

“HAHAHA!” Many female classmates had already taken notice of this humorous and generous little brother.

They kind of regretted not sitting next to him yesterday.

“Wen Ling, thanks for taking me to the infirmary yesterday,” An Wuyang said, sneakily taking out a lunch box from his backpack. “Here, today it’s shrimp filling.”

Wen Ling raised his eyebrows, taking the lunch box that only he had, his smile noticeably more relaxed than yesterday. “Tsk tsk, and you said there’s no mine in your family.”

Yesterday’s dumplings were of excellent quality, both in ingredients and craftsmanship, costing no less than a small fortune.

Although that wasn’t much for Wen Ling; he wouldn’t even consider buying shoes at this price.

An Wuyang said, “I really don’t have one.”

Wen Ling ate and glanced at his slender arms and legs. “Why are you here again today? Do you want me to take you back again?”

The embarrassed little angel said, “Can’t you look forward to my arrival?”

During today’s military training, the instructor’s gaze fell on An Wuyang. “Huh?” He remembered this student had already taken a leave.

Fearful of being kicked by the instructor, the young boy stood up straight with all his might, determined to improve the instructor’s impression of him as a weakling.

“Tsk tsk.” The instructor, seeing that he was standing quite well, didn’t scrutinize the delicate young boy further.

Celebrations are in order as An Wuyang successfully made it through the morning without fainting.

“Shall we go to the cafeteria for lunch?” Wen Ling approached, covering An Wuyang’s hat with his hand.

Seeing that An Wuyang had grown accustomed to being overshadowed by taller individuals, he wasn’t angry. “Hmm, but I thought you don’t eat at the cafeteria?”

Wen Ling smiled. “I’ve found that our school’s cafeteria is quite decent.”

Xu Yuanhang immediately interjected, exposing him, “Actually, he ordered takeout from outside and found a hair in it.”

Wen Ling widened his eyes, looking disgusted. “Are you trying to poison me? I just managed to forget about…”

“The food in the cafeteria is delicious, and hygiene standards are strict. Let’s go to the cafeteria,” An Wuyang’s smiling face was enough to make people forget about the disgusting incident with the hair.

“Okay…” Wen Ling hummed in agreement, feeling better.

Xu Yuanhang, who shared a dorm room with Wen Ling, was actually quite afraid of him after just a few days of interaction. At the moment, he kept his mouth shut and didn’t dare say much.

“Wen Ling, are you going to the cafeteria for lunch? Want to join us?” Hai Qiong, a classmate from the front desk, pulled along two other girls and caught up with them.

The refined-looking boy didn’t hesitate to decline, “No, thanks. I’m a bit shy and don’t want to sit with girls.”

Everyone around was taken aback by his response!

Shy?

They couldn’t see it at all.

But the girls smiled and didn’t insist, perhaps finding Wen Ling’s response quite cute.

Unable to hold back, Xu Yuanhang complained, “Why didn’t you agree? This was a perfect chance to get a girlfriend. I… I was hoping to find one in college too.”

Then he looked at An Wuyang, “What do you think, An Wuyang?”

The bewildered little angel nodded blankly, “Uh, yeah, yeah.”

Wen Ling’s eyes darkened as he glanced at his classmate’s slender arms and legs while walking, as if saying, “You want to find a girlfriend too?” with a look that said, “That’s not very scientific.”

“No no no, I’m not looking. I support Brother Xu Yuanhang in finding one,” An Wuyang said.

“Then how about this,” Wen Ling grabbed An Wuyang’s arm and walked to the side. “Those looking for girlfriends go in one group, those not looking in another.”

Xu Yuanhang: “Hey, hey!”

These two! “Hold on, everyone, I’m not looking either!”

What’s a girlfriend anyway? Better first find friends with mines at home!

The days of military training passed slowly among the playful antics of classmates, not particularly enjoyable.

Most people had gotten a tan.

Even the girls who had been slathering sunscreen on their faces, now looked less fair and lovely than they did at the beginning of the school year.

An Wuyang had also gotten a bit darker, though not significantly.

“Ah, military training is finally over. How about we go out for a drink tonight?” Xu Yuanhang, new to Beijing, had spent every day either in military training or military training, without stepping out to explore what Beijing was really like.

“Sure, I haven’t had skewers in a long time. How about we go for skewers?” An Wuyang suggested enthusiastically.

Wen Ling said, “Let’s invite the other roommates too, the more the merrier.” If only the three of them went, Xu Yuanhang, who loved to talk, would definitely chatter incessantly, dragging An Wuyang along.

“I know a good place. I’ll treat you guys,” An Wuyang said. “I haven’t spent money in a long time. I don’t even remember what it’s like to pay.”

Wen Ling & Xu Yuanhang: “…”

At this point, their impression of An Wuyang was just that of a simple junior, not realizing he was a year older than them.

After school, the five freshmen who had just finished military training discussed going back to the dorm to change clothes.

“What about you?” Wen Ling glanced at the hesitant little lamb.

“I don’t need to change. I’ll just go like this,” An Wuyang said fearfully. Once he went back, he might not be able to come out again.

“Tsk tsk,” Wen Ling, being smart, said, “Come with me to the dorm. I’ll get you a set.”

An Wuyang, comparing their heights, admitted with self-awareness, “Can I fit into it?”

The other person said jokingly, “You can wear the shorts as capris.”

“!!” Angry as he was, he gave in to the desire to go out and play.

Half an hour later, they got into the car, and An Wuyang prepared to call Huo Yunchuan.

However, before he could, the other party called first, and as soon as the call connected, he asked, “School’s been out for half an hour, why aren’t you home yet?”

An Wuyang said, “We finished military training today…”

There was silence on the other end, as if sensing something bad.

After a while, the little angel’s voice came through, “A classmate asked me to go shopping, I’ll be back later.”

Huo Yunchuan wanted to say no, but then immediately realized that the other person was growing up, a time when they naturally leaned towards the so-called freedom.

“With a male classmate or a female classmate?”

“With a male classmate…” An Wuyang answered, feeling like all the classmates in the car were looking at him.

That feeling was so awkward.

“Where are you planning to go, tell me, and then it’s up to you,” Huo Yunchuan said, empathizing. If he were in An Wuyang’s shoes, being controlled by someone like this, he’d probably lose it.

“Okay, we’ll be near the Xx shopping district…” An Wuyang lied, unwilling to admit they were going for skewers.

“Okay,” the voice said. “Come back soon.”

After he hung up, Xu Yuanhang asked in confusion, “Weren’t we going for skewers? When did it change to shopping?” Besides, this direction didn’t seem to lead to any shopping district.

“I lied to my family,” An Wuyang said wearily. “They don’t let me eat outside food, you know, anything that’s not homemade is considered junk food!”

Xu Yuanhang agreed, “Yeah, my mom is the same!”

Wen Ling asked, “Who were you talking to on the phone?”

An Wuyang replied without blinking, “My dad.”

Being controlled like that, it felt like he was losing face as a husband.

When they arrived, the group gathered and found a well-ventilated spot, confidently ordering food item after food item.

“Oysters, a dozen, scallops, a dozen, baby lobsters, a dozen…” All delicious, the half-grown kids who had been hungry all afternoon had their eyes light up.

“Eggplant, garlic tofu… boss, mildly spicy, and bring some beer,” after ordering, everyone stopped shouting. An Wuyang raised his hand and said, “I want coconut juice, non-frozen coconut juice.”

All the classmates looked at him in unison. “Drinking coconut juice while having skewers, An Wuyang, are you even a man?”

An Wuyang put on a heavily pressured expression, thinking, “I’m risking my life having skewers with you guys, what if I go back reeking of alcohol and get into trouble!”
