MMH Chapter 1

Mr. He(1)

At around eleven o’clock at night, He Jing accompanied his boss, Zhou Nianyuan, to attend a party and was driven back to his residence by Zhou’s driver.

He had been living in a rowhouse1series of houses connected by common sidewalls and forming a continuous group on the west side of the city for many years. He had bought it in full with the bonus from his first project when he was just Zhou Nianyuan’s assistant. Later, he earned a lot of money and purchased several properties, but he had no intention of moving from this place. Mainly because he had grown accustomed to living here, and besides, the environment here was elegant, and the property management was good. He couldn’t be bothered to relocate.

The driver dropped him off at the entrance and respectfully left.

He Jing entered the courtyard and saw a figure huddled to the left of the front door.

His vision was very sharp, and he immediately recognized it was Ye Ting.

The young master was wearing a blue T-shirt, with dyed yellow hair, his knees hugged to his chest, and his face buried in his arms. A double-shoulder backpack was placed nearby, and He Jing wasn’t sure if he was asleep.

The dim light highlighted the young man’s fair neck, making it look particularly pitiful.

He Jing’s throat tightened slightly.

He stood and watched for a while before approaching. He gently patted Ye Ting’s shoulder and called out, “Young Master, wake up.”

Ye Ting raised his head in confusion, and upon seeing him, his eyes instantly brightened, and a smile appeared on his face. “Jing-ge, you’re back,” he said.

His voice was clear and gentle, like a refreshing spring, flowing into He Jing’s heart.

Even though the lighting was dim, the young man’s smile was more brilliant than the morning sun.

He Jing’s gaze was deep, and he said, “Get up first; the ground is cold.”

With that, he reached out his hand towards Ye Ting, and Ye Ting placed his hand in He Jing’s palm. He Jing gently exerted force, pulling Ye Ting up.

Once Ye Ting stood upright, he immediately nestled in He Jing’s arms, softly cooing, “I’ve been waiting for you for so long, and there are so many mosquitoes.”

It was the peak of summer, and the young man was wearing a T-shirt and shorts, his exposed skin clinging tightly to his body. He wanted to push the young man away, but his hand accidentally touched the young man’s slender waist, which left him momentarily distracted. Fortunately, he was always rational and discreetly pushed the person away.

Seeing a few mosquito bites on the young man’s arms, and even a red mark on his temple, he couldn’t help but feel a bit sorry.

Ye Ting was born with a silver spoon in his mouth, and he probably hasn’t tasted such bitterness, has he?

He hesitated for a moment and said, “Come inside with me, let’s apply some ointment.”

On an ordinary day, he wouldn’t have let the young man inside at all. It was because Ye Ting was too good at climbing up the pole2skilled at getting their way or gaining favor with someone, often for personal gain or affection. He remembered the last time he let Ye Ting in, and Ye Ting refused to leave, insisting on taking a shower with him and even sharing the same room in the middle of the night.

God knew how hard it was to reject him, almost losing control.

As he recalled the enticing look of the young man that day, he calmly entered the door code and opened the door. He then gestured for the young man to enter.

Ye Ting followed him with a sly smile, his mouth curved like a cat that had successfully stolen a snack.

He Jing casually glanced at him, pretending not to notice.

He asked Ye Ting to sit in the living room and went upstairs to get the ointment for mosquito bites.

This rowhouse was not very large, with a total of four floors. The first floor was the living room, the second floor was the bedroom, the third floor was a study, and the fourth floor was a home theater. There was a spacious balcony outside the home theater, which he had turned into a glass enclosure so that one could watch movies under the starry sky in the summer. On the roof, he had planted some flowers and plants, with regular maintenance help, and it was even suitable for open-air barbecues.

Unfortunately, since the renovation, he had been constantly busy, and the home theater and rooftop were rarely used.

He didn’t have a guest room because, besides Ye Ting, no one else had ever been to his house.

Even when his parents and relatives from his hometown came to Haicheng to visit him, he would take them to a different house.

Shortly, He Jing returned to the living room with the medicine. It was a spray bought in Thailand, and it worked very well. He would have his assistant prepare a whole box of it every summer.

Ye Ting extended his arm, with a smiling expression, and said, “You should apply it for me.”

He had naturally charming eyes, as well as dimples, making him both beautiful and enchanting when he smiled.

He Jing remained expressionless and handed him the medicine, saying, “Apply it yourself.”

Ye Ting pouted in a pitiful manner but ultimately took it into his own hands, resigned to applying the medicine on himself.

This older man was always uncooperative and kept hurting his feelings.

Thinking about this, Ye Ting couldn’t help but let out a soft sigh.

He Jing was pouring water with his head lowered and heard his sigh. His fingers paused slightly.

There was no need to guess; he knew what this young man was thinking.

Yet Ye Ting deliberately muttered, “Old man, why are you so hard to chase?”

In reality, He Jing is only twenty-eight years old, at the prime of his life. As the Vice President of the Zhou Group and the right-hand man of Zhou Nianyuan, the family leader. He has always been referred to by the media as a young talent.

Of course, compared to the eighteen-year-old Ye Ting, he can indeed be considered an older man.

He Jing shook his head, ignoring Ye Ting’s muttering, and handed him the glass of water.

Ye Ting tilted his face up and said, “I’m applying ointment; you should feed me.”

The young man’s fair and enticing neck, and those big, glistening eyes, shone with mischief.

He Jing’s gaze darkened slightly, and he silently helped Ye Ting drink half of the glass of water.

Ye Ting immediately perked up, his face filled with joy. His lively and adorable appearance was quite endearing.

He Jing put down the glass and stood by the sofa, lowering his gaze to watch Ye Ting apply the ointment.

After applying it to both of his arms, Ye Ting pointed to his own forehead and said softly, “I can’t see; you should apply it for me.”

If it were any other day, He Jing would have definitely refused, but this time, he simply watched the young man silently for a few seconds and then took the medicine to apply it to him without a word.

Today, this old man is so cooperative. Ye Ting found it unbelievable, and he also grew bolder. When He Jing bent down, he suddenly leaned in to kiss him.

He Jing had already anticipated that he would pull such a move, and he narrowly avoided it, helplessly saying, “Sit still; don’t move.”

Ye Ting deflated, pouting and glaring at him in dissatisfaction.

He Jing pretended not to see and finished applying the ointment. He then said, “You should leave; I’ll call the driver to pick you up.”

After saying this, he stood up and went to the side to make a call to summon the driver from the Ye family.

Ye Ting is the most cherished young master of the Ye family, always accompanied by drivers and bodyguards. He Jing had the contact number of Ye Ting’s driver two years ago, and he has called the driver several times to pick up Ye Ting, so they are somewhat acquainted.

Being chased off by the older man again, Ye Ting’s mouth could practically drip oil.

He Jing stood by the French window, making a phone call while glancing at him from the corner of his eye.

The young man stood in the lamplight, his blue T-shirt making his skin look exceptionally fair, like milk. His mouth was pouted high, a clear sign of displeasure. Yet the young man’s lips were remarkably attractive, with a pronounced cupid’s bow, and when he pursed his lips, it resembled a kissing expression.

He Jing’s gaze lingered on the young man’s lips for a moment before slowly shifting his eyes away.

Ye Ting didn’t realize that he was like an alluring little lamb in front of the older man. In his eyes, the current older man was the ultimate delicacy, making him want to pounce at any moment.

He Jing was dressed in a white shirt and black suit pants. He had rolled up his sleeves a bit after pouring water and applying ointment, appearing both handsome and restrained.

Ye Ting swallowed hard, then suddenly rushed at him like a missile, hugging him from behind. His soft hands even slipped inside the older man’s shirt.

He Jing’s throat moved slightly.

He had drunk a bit of alcohol, and his self-control wasn’t as good as usual.
