MBBBA Chapter 26

With the project wrapped up, Zhang Peng’s long-awaited honeymoon trip could finally be scheduled.

They didn’t bother with detailed planning; instead, they decided to go with the flow, ready to depart at any moment.

Their first stop was Hawaii.

The waves and the beach always bring joy and a sense of relaxation, boosting one’s spirits. So, rather than a typical sightseeing trip, it was more like finding a peaceful place to revel in their love.

Qiao Qiao didn’t know how to swim, so this was a perfect opportunity for him to learn. They chose a hotel with a private beach, treating the ocean as a giant swimming pool, frolicking in the clear blue waters.

Zhang Peng tried surfing but was knocked over by the waves several times. Qiao Qiao, floating nearby with a swim ring, laughed at him. Unhappy with the teasing, Zhang Peng insisted on pulling Qiao Qiao into the water. Qiao Qiao hurriedly tried to escape, only to bump into a muscular, blond, blue-eyed foreigner who almost fell for him at first sight.

This made Zhang Peng furious, turning him into a jealous mess. He immediately challenged the foreigner to an arm-wrestling match.

It turned out the foreigner was at a bachelor party, with ten similarly built companions, who decided to take turns challenging Zhang Peng in a friendly competition.

There was no backing down in front of his wife, so even though he was nervous, Zhang Peng gritted his teeth and took on five Alpha in a row, winning cheers from the foreigners. The remaining Beta, knowing they stood no chance, didn’t dare to challenge him.

Once everyone had left, Zhang Peng finally breathed a sigh of relief and showed Qiao Qiao his trembling hand.

Qiao Qiao quickly pulled him back to the hotel, iced his wrist, and fussed over him, worried he might have strained something. But Zhang Peng, still proud from his victory, grinned from ear to ear.

Seeing that he wasn’t in too much pain, Qiao Qiao couldn’t help but laugh at him, cupping his face and saying, “Why are you so childish?”

Zhang Peng wasn’t ashamed; instead, he proudly placed his hands on his hips and declared, “What’s wrong with being childish?”

Qiao Qiao thought for a moment and replied, “In that case, I should reward you.”

Zhang Peng, however, wasn’t shameless enough to accept. “No need for that.”

But Qiao Qiao, on the other hand, insisted enthusiastically, “Yes, we need to.”

He glanced up to make sure the door was locked, then drew the curtains before sneaking out a few skimpy outfits from his suitcase. The items were so minimal that they neither covered the chest nor the backside.

Zhang Peng almost had a nosebleed on the spot. He quickly tilted his head back and exclaimed loudly, “Qiao Qiao, you’re such a pervert!”

Qiao Qiao blushed but stood his ground, proudly placing his hands on his hips as he retorted, “What’s wrong with being perverted?”

The two exchanged looks, confirming that men could indeed be both childish and perverted. So, like thieves, they hid in the room, playing with the toys all afternoon.

They ended up using so many of the items that they felt too embarrassed to leave them for the hotel staff. Instead, they cleaned up everything themselves and discreetly threw it all away.

They spent several days indulging in their love, realizing they hadn’t visited many attractions. So, they quickly squeezed in a visit to the volcano park. Under the night sky, the lava spewing from the volcano painted the sky in brilliant red, mesmerizing and beautiful. They took a photo in front of the volcano, making the trip to Hawaii worthwhile.

On their last night before checking out, Qiao Qiao heard a series of “thuds” like someone’s body hitting the floor in the room next door. He pulled Zhang Peng to the door, asking him to listen carefully to what was happening inside.

The sounds didn’t seem right.

Zhang Peng’s hearing was excellent; he could almost visualize the scene in the room based on the sounds alone. Combined with his sense of smell, he described the situation: “An Omega is beating up an Alpha.”

“The Omega grabbed the Alpha by the collar, lifted him up, and then kneed him in the stomach.”

“The Alpha stood up, groaning in pain, cursing foully.”

“The Omega punched the Alpha in the temple, and the Alpha fell to the ground.”

“He didn’t get up again. Seems like he’s passed out.”

Qiao Qiao listened to the live broadcast, hesitated for a moment, and asked, “Are you sure you didn’t mix it up?”

Zhang Peng shook his head confidently. “I’m sure.”

Qiao Qiao, still unsure, muttered, “Domestic violence? Omega abusing Alpha?”

“I don’t know.” Zhang Peng replied, equally puzzled.

What was even stranger was that the Omega’s scent was very familiar to him—a tangy, sweet plum scent.

They were still debating whether to call the police when the door to the room opened from the inside.

The Omega, drenched in sweat, emerged wearing a pale yellow pajama set, barefoot, and as soon as he appeared, the air was filled with the strong, sweet scent of plums, potent enough that even Qiao Qiao, a Beta, could easily smell it.

“Jiang Wan?” Qiao Qiao blurted out.

After years of training, Zhang Peng was no longer the inexperienced Alpha he once was. Facing the intense scent of Omega pheromones, he stood firm without any discomfort or desire to flee.

Jiang Wan was clearly not in a good state; although he hadn’t gone into heat yet, he was close. Hearing the familiar voice, he slowly lifted his head, his expression tired. But when he saw Qiao Qiao, a faint smile appeared on his lips.

“It’s you two.” he said with a soft smile. “What a coincidence, meeting you here.”

Qiao Qiao glanced at Zhang Peng, who signaled with his eyes that he was fine. With no need to worry about Zhang Peng, Qiao Qiao stepped forward and took Jiang Wan’s hand. “Is there anything we can do to help?”

As he spoke, he peeked into the room.

Sure enough, there was an Alpha lying on the floor, his face bruised and swollen, unconscious and motionless.

Qiao Qiao was the type to side with friends over logic. Jiang Wan was an old friend, so he immediately chose to support him, even though he still didn’t know what had happened in the room. “We can get you the best lawyer.” he offered. Whether the Alpha was dead or severely injured, a lawyer could handle it.

Jiang Wan chuckled. “He’s just passed out. I know my limits.” He shook the sweat from his head. “My doctor will be here soon with a suppressant. Can I trouble you to lend me a coat?” He gestured to his pajamas, “After all, it’s not very polite to meet people dressed like this.”

Qiao Qiao quickly asked Zhang Peng to fetch a coat. Zhang Peng thought of offering his own but, being an Alpha, knew it could cause misunderstandings if Jiang Wan wore his clothes. Reluctantly, he handed over Qiao Qiao’s trench coat instead.

Qiao Qiao dashed back to their room to grab a glass of water and a chair for Jiang Wan. If it weren’t for Zhang Peng’s scent lingering in their room, he would’ve brought Jiang Wan inside to rest.

When Jiang Wan leaned against the doorframe, his head bowed in exhaustion, Qiao Qiao noticed the ring of bruises around his neck, realizing the situation was much more severe than he initially thought.

Jiang Wan draped the coat over his shoulders and sat upright in the chair, sipping the warm water in small sips, looking both obedient and pitiful.

The image of Jiang Wan as a powerful figure who could command a group of black-clad men was instantly replaced in Qiao Qiao’s mind. He squatted in front of Jiang Wan, resting his chin in his hands, quietly watching over the Omega.

Zhang Peng turned away sharply, his entire being radiating a sulky, jealous aura.

Qiao Qiao didn’t even notice.

Zhang Peng quietly went to the corner to sulk.

After finishing the glass of water, Jiang Wan seemed to recover somewhat. Though he was still sweating, and his pheromones were chaotic, the concentration had diminished.

He glanced at his watch, annoyed that the family doctor was taking longer than expected.

His expression turned cold and indifferent. But when he looked up and saw Qiao Qiao’s concerned face, he immediately smiled warmly, as if nothing had happened.

“I came to visit my mom. While I was asleep, she drugged me and threw me into this room, hoping to force me into bed with him.” Jiang Wan explained lightly, as if it was no big deal. He then smiled as if he were just happy to see old friends, saying, “Don’t worry, I’m fine. It’s just a surprise to run into you guys here in a Hawaiian hotel.”

Qiao Qiao, however, couldn’t overlook the seriousness of Jiang Wan’s words, no matter how casually he spoke. “Your mom?!”

Jiang Wan leaned back in the chair, nodding as he rubbed his chin. “Yes, the very one who’s always eager to marry me off.”

Qiao Qiao was outraged. “That’s a crime!”

Even Zhang Peng, too focused on his jealousy earlier, chimed in, “She really would do something like that.”

Qiao Qiao, full of righteous indignation, was ready to call the police, but Jiang Wan waved him off, saying it wasn’t necessary.

Qiao Qiao felt deeply troubled and didn’t hesitate to speak his mind, even if it meant offending someone. “How many times has she hurt you already? You can’t just forgive her because she’s your mother. What she did this time is a serious crime—she’s basically an accomplice to attempted rape!”

He knew his words might be offensive, and he was prepared for Jiang Wan to cut ties with him. But he still had to say what needed to be said. While both he and Zhang Peng had parents who truly cared for them, he understood that there were parents out there who didn’t deserve the title.

Qiao Qiao was visibly upset. Jiang Wan stood up, took his hand, and, with a face full of gratitude, said, “Thank you.”

Qiao Qiao looked at him in surprise, while Zhang Peng sulked even harder in the corner, still unnoticed by Qiao Qiao.

“I’ve already arranged to have my mother sent to a psychiatric hospital. She’s repeatedly done things that endanger society, and I suspect she has a mental illness.” Jiang Wan explained.

Qiao Qiao paused, then cautiously asked, “Is it one of those… secure psychiatric hospitals?”

Jiang Wan laughed brightly, his face free of any gloom. “What are you thinking? Of course, it is. Otherwise, what’s the point?”

At that moment, a group of black-clad men hurried down the hallway, along with someone in a white coat. Without turning his head, Jiang Wan continued to smile at Qiao Qiao, “This Alpha is a menace, unable to control himself. It’s safer for society if he’s chemically castrated.”

Qiao Qiao almost bowed deeply: Sorry for disturbing you, boss. Farewell, boss.

How had he ever thought Jiang Wan could be bullied? Was it his delicate, beautiful face?

Qiao Qiao scolded himself internally—he’d been completely blinded by good looks!

The family doctor approached and administered a suppressant to Jiang Wan. His pheromones quickly stabilized, but the doctor still advised him to go back and rest.

Jiang Wan looked at the coat he was wearing, considering what to do with it.

Qiao Qiao blurted out, “Boss, just keep it.”

Jiang Wan didn’t like the title. “I’m not a gangster. Just call me by my name.”

Qiao Qiao mentally disagreed: Really not a gangster? Your men are dressed in black from head to toe.

Jiang Wan, unaware of Qiao Qiao’s thoughts, said, “Since I’ve worn this coat, I should buy you a new one.”

Qiao Qiao waved his hand. “No need.”

Jiang Wan smiled. “I’ll be going now.” With a wave, he strolled out of the hotel, surrounded by his black-clad entourage and the doctor in a white coat.

Qiao Qiao watched in admiration as the boss left. When he turned around, he saw Zhang Peng squatting in the corner, looking so pitiful he seemed ready to grow mushrooms.

Qiao Qiao pulled Zhang Peng out of the corner. “Come on, snap out of it. That was an Omega.”

Zhang Peng huffed, “Hmph!”

Qiao Qiao dragged him back to the room with great effort. “Don’t sulk on the floor. We still haven’t used up all our, uh, supplies. Come on, little brother, let’s continue tonight and use them all up.”

Zhang Peng was shocked.

Though he was still upset about seeing them holding hands, his body betrayed him. He eagerly dashed into the room, ready to use the contraceptives with glee.

Qiao Qiao hadn’t expected Zhang Peng to take his joke seriously. By the end of the night, they had indeed used up all their supplies, and Qiao Qiao almost couldn’t get out of bed the next morning.

Zhang Peng suggested rescheduling the flight, but Qiao Qiao stopped him. First-class tickets were expensive! How much would it cost to reschedule?

Thinking about the money, Qiao Qiao forced himself to sit up, despite his sore waist and trembling legs.

Seeing that Qiao Qiao could barely walk, Zhang Peng offered to carry him to the airport.

Though tempted, Qiao Qiao refused. That would be way too flashy.

In the end, Zhang Peng found a wheelchair and added an extra-thick cushion, solving Qiao Qiao’s travel problem.

Barely hanging on, Qiao Qiao endured the twelve-hour flight. Throughout the journey, an older man kept watching Zhang Peng take care of Qiao Qiao, his eyes filled with curiosity.

When Qiao Qiao needed to use the restroom, Zhang Peng insisted on helping him in, even wanting to carry him to the toilet.

He was promptly kicked out.

The older man gave Zhang Peng a sympathetic smile, and Zhang Peng returned a polite smile.

“How long has your partner been like this?” the man asked, nodding toward the restroom.

Zhang Peng’s smile froze on his face.

The man assumed Zhang Peng was too upset to talk about it, so he didn’t pry further, only giving a thumbs-up. “It’s rare to see someone as caring as you, looking after your paralyzed wife so attentively.”

Zhang Peng was left speechless.

When Qiao Qiao came out of the restroom and called Zhang Peng to push him back, Zhang Peng had to endure the older man’s approving gaze as he went to assist Qiao Qiao.

Throughout the rest of the trip, Qiao Qiao noticed the man kept watching them, filling him with suspicion. He wondered if the man was a human trafficker or maybe a pickpocket.

Back home, Qiao Qiao mentioned the incident to Zhang Peng.

With a complex expression, Zhang Peng revealed the truth.

Qiao Qiao was stunned for a moment, then came up with a new idea: “If I use crutches on the subway, do you think people will give up their seats for me?”

Zhang Peng suggested, “Maybe you should try a maternity dress instead.”

Qiao Qiao patted his belly, pretending to cry. “It’s all my fault. I can’t give you children. The Zhang family line will end with you.”

Zhang Peng played along, “Our family has a throne, you know. I can’t believe I married a rooster that doesn’t lay eggs.”

Qiao Qiao sighed, “I think your way of thinking is dangerous for society. Maybe you should consider physical castration.”

Zhang Peng paused, squeezed his legs together, and shivered. “Honey, you’ve been corrupted by Jiang Wan.”

Qiao Qiao made a scissors gesture with his fingers and pretended to snip at Zhang Peng, making him yelp in mock pain.

After goofing around for a while, the doorbell suddenly rang.

“Someone’s here!” Zhang Peng shouted, seizing the chance to protect himself, and got up to answer the door.

Qiao Qiao followed him out of the bedroom. “Who is it?”

“Delivery!” Zhang Peng replied, taking a large box from the delivery guy and setting it on the floor.

Qiao Qiao couldn’t wait to open it. “What did you order?”

Zhang Peng was puzzled. “I didn’t order anything.”

Surprised, Qiao Qiao glanced at him, then pulled out a paper bag and a box from the package. The bag had a luxury brand’s logo on it, and when he opened the box, he found a khaki trench coat inside.

He immediately realized, “Jiang Wan actually bought me a new one!” He excitedly shook it out and put it on, admiring himself in the mirror. “It looks great! And it fits perfectly!”

Zhang Peng stared gloomily at the opened package, silently vowing never to mention Jiang Wan again. He was like Beetlejuice—mention his name, and he’d appear!

Looking out the window at the clear skies, Zhang Peng thought, “Today is another day filled with jealousy. How wonderful.”

But it wasn’t long before Zhang Peng found himself grateful to Jiang Wan.

After trying on the trench coat and thanking Jiang Wan, Qiao Qiao received another message from him.

“Don’t thank me just yet. I have another gift for you and Zhang Peng.

There’s an Omega named Peng Qi who’s trying to move into the apartment across from yours. I’ve already packed him up and sent him back to his husband. This guy’s a serial homewrecker, known for seducing married Alpha. He’s reportedly broken up five or six couples.

His husband was so fed up that he refused to go home.

But don’t worry, I’ve given his husband a pheromone blocker. Once he puts it on, he can’t take it off, so Peng Qi won’t be able to seduce Alpha with his pheromones anymore.”

Well done!

Zhang Peng’s opinion of Jiang Wan improved significantly. Nodding in approval, he then buried his face in Qiao Qiao’s shoulder and pouted, “They keep trying to sully my reputation!”

“It’s okay, I’ll always, always believe in you!” Qiao Qiao gently patted the back of Zhang Peng’s head, smiling in the sunlight.

Life with someone you love and good friends is truly wonderful.

Although Jiang Wan is an Omega, he’s also the owner of a small loan company.

One day, while collecting debts from a deadbeat, he noticed the debtor’s son—a cold-looking, handsome young Alpha with broad shoulders and a narrow waist.

Jiang Wan decided to hide his overly social identity and approach this young man who frequently appeared in his dreams.
