MOFB Chapter 50

Shen Huaizhi’s room didn’t have a carpet, so when Jiang Heng fell, he woke up directly from his sleep. He found himself lying on the floor, and whether it was luck or not, although he fell face down, his face didn’t hit the ground first. However, his knee seemed to have taken a knock, and it hurt so much that he felt a bit dizzy. The alcohol’s effects were kicking in now too, not just on his knee but also in his head, which was throbbing.

Struggling to open his eyes, Jiang Heng saw a wooden floor in front of him. After a moment, his consciousness returned slightly, and it seemed like he was in Shen Huaizhi’s room. He had a bit of alcohol, and then he followed Shen Huaizhi home? His memory wasn’t very clear; he only remembered Shen Huaizhi giving him a hot bath, and then he climbed into bed and fell asleep.

Furrowing his brow, Jiang Heng lay there, feeling a bit dazed. He moved his neck a little, and both his knees and temples throbbed with pain, but it was bearable. Slowly, he turned onto his side, attempting to use his hands to push himself up.

Damn, either he was still dizzy from the fall or it was the alcohol, but his arms felt weak. He lifted his eyelids, gritting his teeth, and tried to push himself up with his right leg. But as he exerted force, his leg gave out, and he collapsed back down, lacking strength.

That’s the scene Shen Huaizhi walked in on. Perhaps due to the struggle, Jiang Heng’s oversized pajamas had ridden up quite a bit. The room had only a bedside lamp on, but even in that dim light, Omega’s slender waistline was perfectly visible, merging flawlessly with the beautiful lines of his back that Shen Huaizhi had admired earlier in the bathroom.

Shen Huaizhi’s breath caught, and his lips pressed into a straight line. Because Jiang Heng hadn’t used any scent blocker after the shower, Omega’s pheromones spread unimpeded in his room. Perhaps due to being startled, the rich floral scent was even more prominent than when he had left earlier.

Probably sensing someone had entered, Jiang Heng glanced towards the door. His eyes were a bit foggy, unable to see clearly, but now the faint scent of Alpha, which had been thin in the room before, became more pronounced. He saw a pair of slipper-clad feet gradually approaching him.

“Jiang Heng,” Shen Huaizhi squatted down in front of him. “Can you get up by yourself?”

He had intended to just pull him up, but seeing Jiang Heng’s movements, it was evident he had already struggled.

As he spoke, Jiang Heng seemed to deflate, collapsing back down entirely. He looked somewhat embarrassed, with one arm under his head, his face buried in the floor. His voice sounded muffled. “I can’t. Please help me up.”

After he finished speaking, Shen Huaizhi noticed Jiang Heng’s ears slowly turning red.

For a moment, Shen Huaizhi couldn’t help but chuckle. He wasn’t sure if Jiang Heng was fully awake or still half-asleep; if he wasn’t awake, why were his ears turning red?

“Can you roll over?” Even as he asked, Shen Huaizhi bent down, his hand reaching under Jiang Heng’s armpit and around to the front of his body. With one hand, he pulled Jiang Heng’s pajamas down a bit to cover the exposed skin, then reached around to his waist. “Can you turn over?”

In this position, he could easily lift Jiang Heng if he wanted to, but he was afraid it might be uncomfortable for him. The two were too close, and pheromones were shamelessly lingering around them, with a subtle hint of temptation.

Jiang Heng’s eyelids fluttered as he buried his face in Shen Huaizhi’s arm, closing his eyes and rolling over towards Shen Huaizhi. He ended up nestled in his arms.

Initially feeling uneasy, Jiang Heng found himself enveloped in the rich scent of melting snow, which seemed to soothe him completely. The next moment, he was effortlessly lifted up.

Shen Huaizhi’s hand rested on his shoulder and waist, in a rather embarrassing position. Although Jiang Heng appeared tall and often exercised, he didn’t feel particularly heavy when lifted.

With the bed right beside them, it didn’t take much effort for Shen Huaizhi to place Jiang Heng on it.

Opening his eyes, Jiang Heng’s brain belatedly caught up with what had happened. Why did he bother trying to crawl up on his own? Why not just roll over?

But it was too late for those thoughts now.

“Does it hurt anywhere from the fall?” Shen Huaizhi squatted by the bedside, noticing Jiang Heng seemed a bit distracted. He reached out and touched his forehead. There was a bit of sweat, but the temperature seemed normal.

Feeling the touch, Jiang Heng hesitated for a few seconds, then shook his head, and then nodded. “My knee hurts, and my head too.” He added with a hint of complaint, “Where did you go?”

Hearing his words, Shen Huaizhi had initially intended to check his knee, but the latter part of his sentence made him pause. This demeanor didn’t seem like someone who had just sobered up. Who knew if Jiang Heng would remember any of this tomorrow?

“Just went out for some fresh air,” Shen Huaizhi replied truthfully. As he spoke, he lifted Jiang Heng’s pajama pants slightly. They were loose, so it wasn’t much trouble, and Jiang Heng cooperatively lifted his leg.

There were no visible marks on his knee, and Shen Huaizhi’s fingertips, warm with concern, pressed lightly on either side of Jiang Heng’s knee. Seeing Jiang Heng’s expression unchanged, it was likely that he had only bumped it lightly when he fell.

Jiang Heng’s attention was still on Shen Huaizhi’s words. With furrowed brows, he seemed to ponder for a moment. “Why did you go out for fresh air?” He asked, obediently bending his legs for Shen Huaizhi.

His knee no longer hurt, but his head did. As for Shen Huaizhi, he truly didn’t know how to answer this question.

After a moment of contemplation, he tucked Jiang Heng under the covers and lifted his eyelids slightly. “Because there’s a little drunkard in the room,” he said, chuckling softly, his gaze falling on Jiang Heng’s face.

But Jiang Heng didn’t seem to catch on. He asked softly, “Who’s the little drunkard?”

Curling up under the covers, only his head was exposed, his eyes slightly watery and bloodshot, giving him a somewhat pitiful look.

With a smile, Shen Huaizhi replied, “Whoever drinks too much, that’s who.” Lowering his voice, he leaned down and checked Jiang Heng’s face, making sure he hadn’t sustained any injuries. “Lie down and rest well. I’ll go get you some hangover soup.”

Jiang Heng’s mind was still stuck on the phrase “little drunkard.” Hearing Shen Huaizhi’s words, he blinked. “Am I the little drunkard?”

Shen Huaizhi paused at the door, half turning back. After a moment, he chuckled, “Yes, besides you, who else?”

Seemingly satisfied with the answer, Jiang Heng didn’t say anything else. He closed his eyes contentedly.

By the time Shen Huaizhi brought the hangover soup, Jiang Heng had fallen asleep again. He slept fitfully, his brows furrowed as if he were uncomfortable.

Shen Huaizhi finally understood why Jiang Heng had rolled off the bed. In just a few minutes since he left, Jiang Heng had managed to roll from the center of the bed to the edge, kicking off the covers that had been neatly arranged over him. Fortunately, he was still dressed properly.

Seeing him about to roll off again, Shen Huaizhi used one hand to hold the tray and the other to scoop him back onto the bed, feeling somewhat helpless.

“Drink the soup before you sleep again?” he suggested.

Jiang Heng, still groggy, opened his eyes slightly at the sound of Shen Huaizhi’s voice. His brows were still furrowed.

Seeing him awake, Shen Huaizhi gently lifted his head slightly. “Drink it before you sleep,” he said, placing a pillow behind Jiang Heng’s head. Perhaps feeling both tired and uncomfortable, Jiang Heng cooperated obediently throughout the whole process.

After finishing the hangover soup, Jiang Heng was already drifting off to sleep again. Even though he was clearly exhausted and could barely keep his eyes open, when Shen Huaizhi was tidying up and preparing to leave, Jiang Heng suddenly reached out and grabbed his hand, murmuring softly, “Where are you going, Shen Huaizhi?”

His voice was thick with fatigue and reluctance.

Shen Huaizhi was briefly taken aback, then thought for a moment. “I’m going to take a shower. I’ll come back to sleep with you.”

Given Jiang Heng’s current state, he’d probably roll off the bed again soon.

Upon hearing this, Jiang Heng seemed to react after a moment before letting go of Shen Huaizhi’s hand. He settled back down and closed his eyes. “Then hurry back.”

His current appearance made it hard for Shen Huaizhi not to entertain some improper thoughts. No one could have expected that someone who was usually so composed would end up like this when drunk.

It seemed that in the future, he couldn’t let Jiang Heng drink outside anymore, especially with such poor alcohol tolerance.

Shen Huaizhi’s shower was quick. When he came out, Jiang Heng was already asleep at the edge of the bed.

There wasn’t the same impending sense of rolling off as before, just a sideways position, one hand clutching the blanket, which, despite its size, only covered one side.

The bed and the quilt on the other side seemed intentionally left for him.

Realizing this, some thoughts that had just been suppressed surfaced again. Shen Huaizhi stood by the bed for a while before lying down. The bed, which had been imbued with his scent, was now filled with the rich scent of Omega pheromones, dominating and clingy. And the Omega who had been lying on the edge of the bed seemed to sense something keenly, quickly rolling from the right side to his side, reaching out to embrace his waist like it was second nature, and resting his head directly on his shoulder, even letting out a contented sigh.

Shen Huaizhi paused for a second, then chuckled. Despite not feeling sleepy, his mind was wandering aimlessly, while the person in his arms slept soundly.

By midnight, Shen Huaizhi finally managed to shake off those scattered thoughts and began to feel sleepy. The person in his arms started rolling to the side again, even starting to kick the blanket.

He simply pulled the person back into his embrace, pressing down on their back and wrapping one leg over theirs from above, holding them tightly to prevent any more movement. The other person seemed somewhat displeased with this restriction, struggling for a moment before realizing they couldn’t break free, and their breathing gradually calmed down again.

Jiang Heng vaguely felt something pressing on him, feeling a bit suffocated and hot, his brain also feeling a bit dizzy, but strangely without a hangover headache. He subconsciously tried to move his legs, only to find them immobile, even feeling a bit numb. Only his hands were free, but they seemed to be enclosed in something, warm and even warmer than his body temperature. Moving his palm around, he felt something hard, but surprisingly comfortable to touch?

Realizing this, Jiang Heng struggled to open his eyes, feeling the familiar scent of an Alpha invading his senses, causing his breath to catch slightly. The other person was asleep, breathing steadily. Sensing his movement, Shen Huaizhi also stirred, holding him even tighter.

Jiang Heng: …

A slew of unpleasant memories flooded back, even the details of him clumsily snuggling into the other’s embrace replayed in his mind like a movie. After wriggling out, Jiang Heng breathed a sigh of relief. After sleeping all night like this, he was covered in the scent of Alpha. Although it was comforting to smell, it also easily made his head spin.

Reluctant to leave.

“I’m going to the bathroom.” Jiang Heng stiffly climbed out of bed, feeling numb legs and a sore waist from maintaining the same position all night. If it weren’t for the memories still intact, he might have thought Shen Huaizhi did something to him last night, when in fact, it was he who did something to Shen Huaizhi.

“Go ahead, the pajamas don’t have a zipper,” Shen Huaizhi kindly reminded.

Jiang Heng: …

Turning his back to him, “I’m not stupid!” Realizing his tone was a bit heavy, he stumbled to add, “What I mean is, I know.”

After saying that, he rushed straight to the bathroom. Damn, if he stayed any longer, he probably wouldn’t be able to face anyone in the future. Behind him, came the deep chuckle of an Alpha, sounding very pleased.

Jiang Heng: … He had no idea what he didn’t know.

Once Jiang Heng finished in the bathroom, he instinctively made his way to the adjacent bathroom, splashed some cold water on his face, and came out again, only to find Shen Huaizhi already changed and standing in front of the wardrobe.

Shen Huaizhi’s tall figure and long legs alone were enough to trigger imagination.

Jiang Heng stared at Shen Huaizhi’s figure for a while, finding it hard to imagine that one day he would wake up to see Shen Huaizhi beside him. This realization warmed his heart slightly.

If it weren’t for the terrible memories from last night, this morning should have been the most enjoyable waking experience he had had in a long time. But the thought of those memories brought back a sense of embarrassment.

“Your clothes are dirty, want to wear mine temporarily?” Shen Huaizhi suddenly turned around, catching Jiang Heng off guard.

Jiang Heng was momentarily stunned, then nodded, looking down at his pajamas. Memories from last night flooded back again. He actually stripped in front of Shen Huaizhi… This was just too embarrassing.

Thinking about this, his ears started to burn, but he tried to maintain composure. “I’m fine with what I have.”

Although he tried to appear calm, his eyes betrayed his anxiety.

Shen Huaizhi couldn’t help but smirk at his distraction. His Alpha instincts stirred again, and those negative thoughts surged up like mushrooms after rain, growing rapidly.

The little drunkard thought he was hiding it well, but Shen Huaizhi couldn’t tease him too harshly. What if he got upset? Shen Huaizhi handed Jiang Heng a set of casual clothes. His clothes were sent over by Ruan Shu, and since he usually wore school uniforms, many of his clothes were unworn.

Jiang Heng clumsily changed in the bathroom, while Shen Huaizhi glanced at the bathroom door. Since nobody usually came into the room, the bathroom door was almost transparent, allowing Shen Huaizhi to see Jiang Heng’s every move. He hadn’t thought much of it last night, but now, just catching a glimpse of Jiang Heng’s beautiful back, it seemed to imprint itself in his mind.

Adjusting his emotions outside the bathroom, Shen Huaizhi went to the adjacent guest room to freshen up.

When he came back, Jiang Heng had already changed.

The casual clothes were slightly oversized, but they didn’t look too out of place on Jiang Heng. The black and white colors didn’t clash with Jiang Heng’s usual style.

Jiang Heng pursed his lips, feeling a bit uncomfortable. “Feels like everything smells like you.”

Hearing him say that, Shen Huaizhi lowered his eyes and stared at him for a moment. Perhaps Jiang Heng had also freshened up while changing clothes, as there was a hint of water on his lips and a slight dampness on his forehead and neck.

Seeing him like this, Jiang Heng felt a bit surprised: “Why—”

Before he could finish his sentence, Shen Huaizhi had already walked up to him. Compared to his earlier gentleness, there was a hint of suppressed emotion in Shen Huaizhi’s eyes. Before Jiang Heng could ask, the next moment, he found himself trapped between the wardrobe and Shen Huaizhi.

Shen Huaizhi’s hand had somehow reached behind his head.

His lower lip was lightly bitten.

This sudden kiss caught Jiang Heng off guard.

But Shen Huaizhi seemed to have no intention of giving him time to react.

The pent-up desire exploded completely at that moment.

No, perhaps it was still being suppressed, probably to avoid hurting or scaring Omega too much. Shen Huaizhi’s actions remained gentle.

Shen Huaizhi’s tongue explored between his lips and teeth, momentarily distracting Jiang Heng, but he quickly regained his senses. Shen Huaizhi pressed down on the back of his neck, not quite touching his gland, but close enough. Omega’s nature dictated that they were always a bit vulnerable in these situations.

“Concentrate,” Shen Huaizhi murmured against his lips, his voice slightly muffled, “Listening to you, coming to kiss you.”

This sentence completely robbed Jiang Heng of his rationality.

When it was over, he found himself almost leaning against the wardrobe. Although the wardrobe was cool, he felt feverish all over.

If it weren’t for Shen Huaizhi’s hand still holding onto his waist, Jiang Heng probably wouldn’t be able to stand steadily by now.

As Omega, they were always a bit weaker in these situations.

Shen Huaizhi kissed Jiang Heng’s forehead again. “Improvement.”

Jiang Heng was silent for a moment. When that impulse subsided, he bluntly said, “Can’t help it, you’re just so slow.”

After he finished speaking, he pushed Shen Huaizhi away, licked his lips as if nothing had happened, and, still feeling weak, used both hands and feet to walk to the bedside.

He didn’t know when they were prepared, but there were two bottles of blocker on the bedside table.

Jiang Heng took a bottle of Omega blocker expressionlessly and began to spray it on his gland and body desperately. The scent of Alpha’s pheromones on his body was too strong, severely affecting his judgment.

Jiang Heng gritted his teeth with some resentment. Even when kissing, Alpha had to use pheromones to seduce him, making him so weak that he had no strength to resist.

The overly romantic atmosphere from earlier gradually disappeared due to the strong lemon scent.

With his actions, Shen Huaizhi finally understood where the intense scent of the blocker in the dressing room came from. He chuckled, “That’s enough, I can’t smell it anymore.”

Jiang Heng responded with an “oh” and continued to ignore his rapidly accelerating heartbeat. “I didn’t do anything last night, did I?”

He should have disguised it pretty well.

Shen Huaizhi lowered his eyes, seemingly pondering for a moment. “No.”

Jiang Heng “oh”ed again.

He could still accept well-intentioned lies. If there wasn’t—

“It’s just that you were a bit clingier than usual.” Shen Huaizhi laughed, as if reminiscing about something. “You insisted on coming home with me.”

Jiang Heng: …

Bullshit!

You were the one who insisted on taking me home! He clearly didn’t want to go home!

“And you even insisted on sleeping with me.”

“If I don’t sleep with you, you’ll scold me,” Shen Huaizhi said earnestly, as if these things had really happened.

Jiang Heng: …

What do I need to prepare to assassinate Shen Huaizhi?

All the way downstairs, Jiang Heng was still cursing Shen Huaizhi in his mind. If he didn’t want to admit that he remembered everything, he would probably beat Shen Huaizhi up now.

When they were almost downstairs, Jiang Heng suddenly remembered something.

His steps came to a halt.

Seeing him stop, Shen Huaizhi asked with a smile, “What’s wrong?”

Jiang Heng expressionlessly asked, “Is there no one at your house?”

As if he didn’t understand why he was asking, Shen Huaizhi shook his head. “No one.”

“Really?” Jiang Heng looked at him suspiciously. “You’re not lying to me?”

Shen Huaizhi chuckled, “Why would I lie to you?”

It was already past ten o’clock, and Ruan Shu was indeed not at home.

Jiang Heng responded with an “oh” and slowly walked downstairs with a stiff posture.

Seeing him hesitate, Shen Huaizhi’s teasing voice came again, “Jiang Heng, don’t hesitate.”

Jiang Heng: …
