MOFB Chapter 69

Even Jiang Heng was taken aback for a moment, and even the person outside the door hesitated, stepping back a little to double-check if they had entered the wrong room.

Jiang Heng quickly realized who the flowers were for. His eyelids lowered, and he spoke with a somewhat lazy tone, “Good morning, uncle.”

Having been woken up, Jiang Heng was already in a bad mood, his expression particularly unfriendly. His words carried an inexplicable hint of mockery.

The man’s smile faltered slightly, but after years of good education and experience in pursuing people, he quickly adjusted. He held out the flowers to Jiang Heng again, “Good morning, beautiful Omega.”

“Is your friend here?”

He had already guessed the relationship between this Omega and Shen Huaizhi. However, their relationship didn’t matter to him. He was only interested in having a casual fling with Shen Huaizhi.

After all, young men at this age were the most vulnerable to temptation and novelty.

Jiang Heng glanced up, pushing the bouquet aside with one hand. The strong scent of the flowers made his nose itch, so he rubbed it uncomfortably. He sized up the man in front of him, who was dressed quite decently. How had he found out where Shen Huaizhi was staying? Most likely, he had some connection to the resort.

After running these thoughts through his mind, Jiang Heng couldn’t help but think to himself that if he were this sharp when solving problems, he wouldn’t have to cram for exams the day before.

He stayed silent for a moment, then impatiently furrowed his brow and said, “My husband is in the shower. Do you need something, uncle?”

The man raised an eyebrow in mild surprise upon hearing this, but didn’t pay it much mind. He had already found out that these people were students.

The man smiled, “No, just wanted to make friends with you guys.”

Jiang Heng gave a short, dismissive laugh and glanced at the bouquet of roses. “No need. We’re not interested in making friends with old men.”

After saying this, he smirked sarcastically and added, “Goodbye. Hopefully, we won’t see you again.” He didn’t bother to show any courtesy.

With that, he slammed the door shut.

Outside, the man stared at the abruptly closed door, his once-warm smile turning cold.

It’s just an Omega, he thought. Who knew they could have such a temper?

But the person he wanted to pursue—he would find a way to win them over, eventually.

It might have been because the flowers were too fragrant, but after closing the door, Jiang Heng sneezed several times in a row. As he rubbed his nose and went to grab some tissues, he noticed that the sound of running water from the bathroom had stopped.

Jiang Heng paused.

He vaguely remembered from last night that Shen Huaizhi had carried him to bed and that he had fallen asleep in Shen Huaizhi’s arms, feeling very secure because of his scent.

Thinking of this, Jiang Heng instinctively turned his head toward the bathroom, and even his feet moved in that direction without him realizing it.

The bathroom door was frosted glass, so he couldn’t see inside, only a vague silhouette. Jiang Heng stood at the door for a few seconds, feeling more and more like he was catching Shen Huaizhi’s perverse tendencies. Now, he was behaving like a bit of a pervert himself.

Just as this thought crossed his mind, he couldn’t hold back another sneeze.

At that moment, Jiang Heng’s expression went completely blank, and he even felt the urge to dig a hole and hide in it. But just then, he heard a noise from inside the bathroom, and before he could make his escape, Shen Huaizhi opened the door.

Fresh from the shower, the Alpha was still damp, his hair wet, and he wore only a bathrobe. Probably because he had heard the sneezing, he hadn’t even had time to tie the robe’s belt. In an instant, everything was exposed to Jiang Heng’s view without any warning.

Water droplets that hadn’t been wiped away slid down from the side of the Alpha’s ear, disappearing into the neckline and tracing along the defined lines of his muscles.

“Why are you sneezing?” Shen Huaizhi looked down, lightly furrowing his brow, seemingly unaware of how inappropriate his current appearance was in the eyes of his Omega.

Jiang Heng swallowed reflexively, just about to say something in his defense, when he sneezed again.

Noticing the redness in Jiang Heng’s ears, Shen Huaizhi’s lips curled slightly in amusement. But when his eyes fell on Jiang Heng’s arm, the smile quickly disappeared. “Why is your arm all red?”

Jiang Heng had developed red rashes on his arm. His skin was naturally pale, and although the rash was only on a small patch on the outer side of his right forearm, it looked rather alarming.

Just as Jiang Heng was trying to come up with an excuse for why he’d been sneakily watching someone shower, Shen Huaizhi’s question made him notice the rash on his own arm. A little slow to realize, he hesitated and said, “Maybe… I have a bit of a pollen allergy?”

After he said that, Shen Huaizhi frowned even more deeply. “Where did the flowers come from?”

He hadn’t known before that Jiang Heng had a pollen allergy.

Jiang Heng let out a small sound, glancing at Shen Huaizhi’s expression. In a slightly jealous tone, he muttered, “They were from your admirer.” Just a tiny bit of jealousy.

After saying that, he blinked and, worried that Shen Huaizhi might get angry because of it, edged closer to him, softening his voice, “Brother, I don’t feel well.”

In truth, apart from sneezing, he didn’t feel much of anything else.

After Jiang Heng finished speaking, Shen Huaizhi stayed silent for a while, then sighed. He didn’t ask anything further about the admirer and instead gently patted Jiang Heng on the head. “Lie down for a bit, I’ll go call the doctor.”

Fortunately, the resort had a doctor on call 24 hours a day to handle any emergencies.

After a quick checkup, it was confirmed that Jiang Heng indeed had a mild pollen allergy. It wasn’t too serious, and after a while, the sneezing subsided. With some medication prescribed by the doctor, the rash on his arm almost completely disappeared. It wasn’t itchy or painful, and there were no other symptoms.

However, the idea of soaking in the hot springs again was now completely out of the question.

Jiang Heng had already slept for quite a while, so he definitely wasn’t sleepy at this point.

Shen Huaizhi, worried that Jiang Heng might be hungry, went to the restaurant to order food for him. However, he wouldn’t let Jiang Heng come along, so now Jiang Heng was lying in bed alone, tossing and turning. He held his phone, but couldn’t focus on anything.

He wasn’t sure if it was an Omega’s intuition, but he had a nagging feeling that something bad was going to happen.

With that thought in mind, Jiang Heng couldn’t stay lying down any longer. He sent a message to He Ci, asking if he and Chen Xingchi were in their room. After getting a confirmation, Jiang Heng notified Shen Huaizhi and got ready to leave.

There weren’t many people in the hallway, but the lighting was somewhat harsh.

Jiang Heng squinted and was just about to start checking the room numbers to find He Ci’s room when he saw two people coming out of the elevator.

He froze, and at that moment, he realized where his ominous feeling had been coming from.

Shen Huaizhi was the first to step out of the elevator.

He wasn’t wearing a jacket, just a sweater. Jiang Heng squinted at him for a moment. The elevator was a bit far away, but he could instantly recognize that it was Shen Huaizhi. Still, why did the sweater Shen Huaizhi was wearing look so familiar?

After Shen Huaizhi stepped out, the man behind him followed. “Telling me your name isn’t illegal, right?” the man said. His persistence was shameless.

Shen Huaizhi kept his eyes down, treating the man as if he didn’t exist.

When Jiang Heng had mentioned earlier that someone had sent flowers, Shen Huaizhi had quickly figured out it was this man.

The resort’s practice of casually sharing guest information with other guests had left him somewhat displeased. So, after going to the restaurant, he had also stopped by the front desk to speak with the manager.

He hadn’t expected to run into this man again on his way back.

Yet the man showed no intention of giving up. “It’s fine if you don’t want to tell me your name. I already know it anyway,” he said. “Your Omega really loves you.”

Shen Huaizhi’s steps halted.

Seeing him stop, the man’s eyes gleamed with an even stronger desire for conquest. “You wouldn’t want to see your Omega get hurt, would you?”

The man’s words were an obvious threat.

It wasn’t the first time he had used this tactic. Compared to adult Alphas, these younger ones lacked the maturity and courage to stand firm. Love made them blind, and that blindness made them easy targets.

Sure enough, Shen Huaizhi came to a complete stop. The boy, who hadn’t spared the man a glance earlier, finally turned around. Under the lighting, his face appeared even more beautiful and striking.

This was exactly the type of cold, aloof beauty the man liked.

Shen Huaizhi raised an eyebrow.

The man smiled amicably. “If you had listened earlier, this wouldn’t have been necessary. I won’t treat you badly. Spend some time with me, and you can go back to your Omega…”

“Two times,” Shen Huaizhi said softly, then paused and corrected himself, “No, three times.”

The man didn’t quite catch it. “What?”

Shen Huaizhi shook his head without further explanation. Instead, he shifted slightly, glancing briefly in the direction of the room he shared with Jiang Heng. Then, he rolled up his sleeves to his elbows, revealing his muscular forearms.

He was taller than the man, and at seventeen years old, his physique was already well-developed. But the man, overconfident, had nearly forgotten that Shen Huaizhi was also an Alpha.

And no Alpha would stay calm when another Alpha talked about their Omega.

Especially not after three incidents.

Once, when flowers were delivered to the door, causing Jiang Heng’s pollen allergy.

Twice, when Jiang Heng was used as leverage to threaten him.

The man chuckled indifferently. He was used to being in a position of power and had never really cared about what others said. Just as he was about to make a move, preparing for a typical “wall slam” that he used to charm and deceive others, an overwhelming surge of aggressive pheromones crashed down upon him.

Compared to an Omega, an Alpha encountering another Alpha’s pheromones was pure agony. Their nature was to repel each other.

Especially when the opposing Alpha was stronger. Even though he was older, the man couldn’t help but feel a crushing sense of oppression. A sharp headache started to form.

The heavy scent of red wine filled the air.

Before the man could make his next move, his collar was gripped tightly, and a knee struck him hard in the abdomen. For a brief moment, the pain was so intense he thought he might vomit.

But that was only the beginning.

In the next second, Shen Huaizhi’s foot slammed into the back of the man’s knee. Pain surged through him, and he was forced to kneel on one knee. The sound of his kneecap hitting the floor echoed loudly in the hallway.

The man let out a muffled groan. In this situation, he couldn’t maintain his composure. To be beaten by an Alpha so much younger than himself, without even being able to fight back, and having his pheromones completely suppressed—it felt like his dignity, which had always been held high, was being trampled on.

His abdomen still ached, making it difficult for him to speak, and all he could do was gasp in pain.

Shen Huaizhi looked down at him, his expression indifferent. Grabbing the man by the collar, he spoke softly, “One last time.”

With that, he dragged the man and slammed him against the wall.

Before the man could react, a cry of pain escaped his lips.

Luckily, Shen Huaizhi wasn’t planning to do any serious damage. Even so, the man was in so much pain that he could barely lift his head, slumped against the wall, struggling to breathe under the weight of the pheromones pressing down on him.

“Three times.” Shen Huaizhi crouched down slightly and gave him a cold glance. “Stay away from my Omega.”

Though his voice was calm and his expression neutral, the man clearly understood the threat.

The man’s once neatly worn suit was now disheveled from the beating, leaving him looking utterly defeated.

Shen Huaizhi paused. “Can you still walk?” After asking, he frowned, finding it troublesome, and grabbed the man by the collar, dragging him toward the elevator.

The man, finally able to catch his breath, stammered, “I’m going to… report you! Do you know, cough—” His words were cut off by a painful gasp.

As the elevator arrived on their floor, Shen Huaizhi glanced at it, seemingly ignoring the man’s threat. With a light push, he kicked the man into the elevator.

Back at the room door, Jiang Heng wiped his eyes.

This was the first time he had seen Shen Huaizhi fight while fully conscious.

He couldn’t deny it—his Alpha was ridiculously cool.

Leaning against the door, Jiang Heng clutched his chest, feeling his heartbeat quicken as the sound of footsteps grew closer. He cursed himself internally, wondering if he could be any more pathetic.

Just as he was lost in thought, Shen Huaizhi’s voice reached him, “Why are you standing here?”

The Alpha acted as if nothing had happened, as calm as always.

Jiang Heng let out a vague sound, his gaze darting around before inevitably landing on Shen Huaizhi’s wrist.

The sleeves had been rolled down, leaving only a sliver of wrist visible. Usually, it looked normal, but now, with one glance, it seemed strangely attractive.

Especially when he remembered how Shen Huaizhi had rolled up his sleeves earlier—there was something inexplicably enticing about it.

Jiang Heng remained silent, so Shen Huaizhi patiently waited, watching with interest as Jiang Heng’s face inexplicably flushed. He reached out, gently touching Jiang Heng’s cheek, his thumb lightly rubbing against his skin.

The intense energy from earlier gradually subsided, leaving only a faint trace of pheromones in the air. This time, Jiang Heng didn’t instinctively retreat. Instead, he felt a bit ticklish and even leaned in slightly, his Adam’s apple subtly moving.

Staying in that position, with his face being gently touched, Jiang Heng stared at Shen Huaizhi for a while before realizing something was off.

Shen Huaizhi’s clothes… didn’t seem to fit right.

No, wait—they looked familiar.

His expression froze for a moment, and after a pause, he stammered as if at a loss for words, “No, Shen Huaizhi, you… that…”

Shen Huaizhi, pleased with how Jiang Heng’s cheeks flushed even more under his touch, responded with a soft hum, his eyes showing a hint of confusion.

“You—why are you wearing my sweater?” Jiang Heng asked, stumbling over his words.

Anyone would feel a bit embarrassed seeing their Alpha wearing their clothes, right?

With that thought, Jiang Heng suddenly felt a little justified.

Shen Huaizhi gave a light hum, not appearing to care much, and shifted to drape his arm over Jiang Heng’s shoulder. “I was in a rush waiting for the doctor this morning and grabbed the wrong one.”

As for why he hadn’t changed it yet, he didn’t offer an explanation.

“Where are you going?”

Jiang Heng was still a bit dazed from seeing Shen Huaizhi wearing his clothes. The sweater, which had been a bit loose on him, fit Shen Huaizhi perfectly. That snug fit made it seem a little off, accentuating Shen Huaizhi’s waistline.

Seeing Jiang Heng’s silence, Shen Huaizhi thought he might be upset. After a brief moment of silence, he said, “I’ll go change.”

With that, he opened the door and entered the room with Jiang Heng. As his hand reached for the hem of the sweater, Jiang Heng grabbed his wrist.

Only then did Shen Huaizhi realize that Jiang Heng’s hand was trembling slightly.

Worried that Jiang Heng’s allergic reaction hadn’t fully subsided, Shen Huaizhi was about to ask when he heard Jiang Heng’s barely audible voice, only loud enough for the two of them to hear, “Don’t, don’t change just yet.”

Shen Huaizhi was a little surprised.

Jiang Heng, keeping his expression taut, slightly raised his chin, his eyes filled with Shen Huaizhi’s figure. After a long pause, Jiang Heng finally continued, “Shen Huaizhi, you looked so cool just now.”

Shen Huaizhi paused for a moment, surprised. The unabashed admiration in Jiang Heng’s eyes completely extinguished the lingering aggression he’d felt earlier.

Once the words were out, Jiang Heng felt a bit embarrassed. But since he had already said it, there was no point in holding back. Determined to just go with it, he added, “Can I… see you wearing my clothes a little longer?”

There’s a certain thrill in seeing your partner wear your clothes, a kind of secret pleasure.

After a moment, Shen Huaizhi chuckled softly.

For a moment, it was hard to tell if Jiang Heng had been complimenting Shen Huaizhi for looking cool while fighting or for looking good in his clothes. But either way, it was clear Jiang Heng accepted this side of him.

Shen Huaizhi responded with a soft hum, his thumb gently brushing against the corner of Jiang Heng’s lips. The wound there hadn’t fully healed, so he just lightly grazed it before pulling Jiang Heng into his arms, placing soft, fleeting kisses on him.

The tenderness of these kisses left Jiang Heng feeling dizzy, as if he had forgotten something important.

Meanwhile, in the room next door, Chen Xingchi groggily climbed out of bed, annoyed. After a while, he impatiently kicked He Ci, who had dozed off again, cursing, “Are you messing with me? Did you lie about Jiang Heng coming over just because you knew I didn’t sleep well?”

He Ci lazily grabbed his ankle, “I wasn’t lying. Let me sleep a bit longer.”

Who knew where Jiang Heng had gone.

In the afternoon, the group packed up and prepared to leave. As they headed out, Jiang Heng was still feeling a bit light-headed, his mind filled with two thoughts: *Is Shen Huaizhi a freak?* and *Shen Huaizhi **is** a freak*.

Who wears someone else’s clothes and then makes the other person take them off by hand?

This dazed state lasted until he saw the man from earlier in the villa’s courtyard. The man had recovered quickly, now dressed in a fresh suit, looking sharp once again. The only difference was that he had a young boy in his arms, who looked no older than seventeen or eighteen. The boy didn’t seem too happy, judging by his expression.

The man leaned close to the boy’s ear, whispering something suggestive. They were entering through the front door.

Noticing people approaching from the opposite direction, the man instinctively looked up. In the next second, Jiang Heng saw the man’s expression sour.

Meanwhile, the boy in his arms seized the moment to push him away. Blushing furiously, the boy glanced at Jiang Heng’s group with a panicked expression, mouthing the words, “Help me.”

Jiang Heng narrowed his eyes. Even though Shen Huaizhi had already beaten the man up once, seeing him again made Jiang Heng feel annoyed. There weren’t many people in the courtyard—just a few villa staff members who had come to see them off.

Jiang Heng stared at the man for a while. The man seemed uninterested in engaging with them, instead trying to pull the boy back into his arms. As the boy dodged, the man’s expression grew more irritated. He whispered something into the boy’s ear, causing the boy to shake his head in fear.

Then, the boy gave in, though his expression remained one of hopelessness.

Seeing this, Jiang Heng tugged on Shen Huaizhi’s sleeve and said, “Class monitor, I kinda feel like punching someone.”

Jiang Heng hadn’t spoken to Shen Huaizhi the entire way over, but now he finally broke his silence, and a faint smile appeared on Shen Huaizhi’s face.

“Wait, is that guy trying to force himself on that kid?” Jiang Heng had noticed the situation, and so had the others.

He Ci frowned, “That kid’s an Omega.”

Shen Huaizhi lowered his gaze, not focusing on the man and the boy, but instead glanced at the villa staff behind them. The staff, as if they had been given prior instructions, quickly ran over to shut the front gate of the villa.

“Mhm, go ahead,” Shen Huaizhi replied. “If anything happens, I’ve got your back.”

His voice wasn’t quiet.

He Ci and Chen Xingchi exchanged confused glances, “…???”

Seriously? Who casually encourages someone to get into a fight like that?

Jiang Heng, seeing Shen Huaizhi’s quick agreement, hesitated for a moment and started to calm down. He realized that starting a fight here might cause more trouble than it was worth, and any mess would ultimately fall on Shen Huaizhi to clean up. Jiang Heng wasn’t so impulsive after all.

It wasn’t that he was afraid of trouble. If Shen Huaizhi weren’t around, he would have been reckless without a second thought. But love complicates things—tough Omegas sigh too.

As he was lost in thought, Shen Huaizhi gently tapped the back of his head and said, “I already called the police.”

“This guy’s involved in plenty of shady stuff; don’t worry about it.”

Just the fact that he was forcing an Omega was enough to get him electronically monitored for life.

Shen Huaizhi’s words were like a reassurance for Jiang Heng, who smiled back at him, a sly glint in his eyes.

Seeing his expression, Shen Huaizhi smiled in mild exasperation.

The man, meanwhile, tried to walk past them with the boy in his arms, eyes straight ahead. But a forearm blocked his way.

He frowned and instinctively turned around, suddenly recalling that he had sent his hired bodyguards away just to pick up the boy.

Jiang Heng tilted his head, smirking with a mischievous glint in his eyes. “Where are you headed, mister?”

The boy in the man’s arms seemed to regain a bit of hope.

But Jiang Heng wasn’t really paying attention to him. While the man was momentarily stunned, Jiang Heng yanked the boy out of his grip and pushed him behind him without much care.

He Ci and Chen Xingchi, eager to play the heroes, rushed forward—only to bump into each other. The boy stumbled but managed not to fall.

With no one else to interfere, Jiang Heng pressed his tongue against his teeth, loosened up his hands, and smiled brightly at the man.
