Magic?
Zhou Xiao stared blankly with those eyes.
…Then the magic began to take effect rapidly.
His not-so-fair, scar-covered face turned red, his breathing became rapid, and he tried to climb the wall for support, but couldn’t, as if he had no strength left in his body.
He realized with terror that something seemed off!
018: “How does this seem like…”
Xu Yin: “Hmm, yeah…”
Xu Yin thought for a moment, bent down, and pulled the syringe out of Zhou Xiao’s abdomen.
Zhou Xiao let out a cry: “Ah.”
018: “…”
Xu Yin: “…”
Xu Yin’s expression was somewhat confused.
Tears welled up in Zhou Xiao’s small, pea-sized eyes.
He covered his mouth, full of fear, yet some strange reactions kept piling up, making him increasingly uncomfortable. He hung his head, hands on the ground, his eyes expressing “shock”.
What sound did he just make?! What reaction is this?! What’s going on??
Could it be—
Xu Yin took a deep breath, turned the syringe in his hand again, and carefully looked at the small transparent label attached to it. The line of text on it was too small, he hadn’t seen it clearly before.
The transparent label read—
“Omega-specific arousal love drug.”
Oh no.
Xu Yin looked at Zhou Xiao again, and by now Zhou Xiao had also figured it out!
His eyes reddened, accusing: “You actually drugged me! Are you secretly in love with me for a long time but just don’t want to be the submissive one and only want to be the dominant?! You could have told me earlier, why resort to giving me omega arousal inducers!”
Xu Yin: “…”
018: “Hit him! Hit him now!”
Zhou Xiao gasped as he spoke, trying to crawl over to hug Xu Yin’s feet, but Xu Yin mercilessly stepped on his head.
Xu Yin remained very calm: “Wait a moment, I remember our security guard is an alpha.”
Zhou Xiao raged: “I don’t want the security guard, I want you, I want a handsome dominant!”
018: “Still talking about handsome dominants, give him some shit to eat!!”
Zhou Xiao gasped for air and lunged towards Xu Yin like a tiger!
Xu Yin immediately stepped back, without a word, froze Zhou Xiao in place, turning him into an ice sculpture once again, his expression frozen in a moment of extreme distortion!
He crashed to the ground from mid-air, making a “thud” sound!
Xu Yin slowly exhaled, calming his mood a bit, and thought carefully.
From the memories of the original host, inducers like this were generally used to treat omega in heat disorders, completely poisonous to normal omegas, so the procurement process was very cumbersome, usually only appearing in hospitals.
There were no omega with heat disorders in their orphanage, yet such drugs appeared, the source of which was worth investigating.
Xu Yin glanced at the broken suppressor machine nearby.
Perhaps the source wasn’t that hard to guess after all.
Just then, he heard footsteps approaching from a distance.
—
The dean had searched near her office for that little mutt for half the day, but couldn’t find it. With a stern face, she returned to her office, threw the food that had been nibbled on by the dog into the trash can, then sat back in her seat, resuming her thoughts on tonight’s plans.
The lost inducer can be ignored for now; even if it can’t be found, it’s just a matter of wasting a little money.
Of course, when she finds that dog, she’ll have to deal with it properly.
Tonight’s main event is still Xu Yin…
Putting him in Zhou Xiao’s bed, one night will do the trick.
She picked up a syringe, a smirk forming on her lips.
Suddenly, there was an urgent knock on the door, startling her.
She quickly put the batch of syringes into the drawer, picked up her teacup, and calmly said, “Come in.”
The door opened, and an omega who often brought her news urgently said, “Dean, Zhou Xiao encountered Xu Yin in the corridor, and it seems Xu Yin injected something into him with a syringe. Now Zhou Xiao seems very off.”
There was an immediate crisp sound!
The dean’s teacup shattered on the floor.
Pale-faced and flustered, she hastily got up and rushed out!
—
The orphanage was located deep in the woods, isolated from the outside world, often falling silent shortly after dinner.
Omegas didn’t like exercising after meals; they usually returned to their rooms around seven in the evening, studying, reading, or sleeping.
But today, no one seemed to have any intention of returning to their rooms to rest.
Because shortly after dinner, something big happened!
The dean was too anxious, her mind in a mess. She didn’t even notice the large group of omegas following her hastily out.
The group arrived at the corridor between the two buildings, near the only suppressor machine in the courtyard. There, Zhou Xiao lay on the ground, his eyes vacant, shivering and muttering, “So cold” one moment, and then crying, “So hot” the next, appearing quite erratic.
The dean exclaimed, “Xiao Xiao! Xiao Xiao, what’s wrong with you?!”
Xu Yin stepped back, hands behind his back, raising an eyebrow.
Zhou Xiao’s eyes were already blank. He was being shaken by the dean and muttered, “Double, double magic, this is double magic…”
Hearing his murmurs, the group of omegas behind him sucked in a cold breath.
Although they had secretly breathed a sigh of relief since Zhou Xiao had fixated on Xu Yin, reducing his harassment towards them, most of them turned a deaf ear and a blind eye when Xu Yin sought their help, not daring to speak ill of Zhou Xiao in front of the dean.
But deep down, they truly loathed and feared this mother and son.
Seeing the situation now, they couldn’t help but whisper among themselves.
“Zhou Xiao, this is…”
“It really seems a bit off…”
“Could he be truly gone mad?”
“No, he used to be silly; I thought it was an act, but maybe he actually has mental issues…”
“The dean hasn’t taken him to the hospital?”
The dean stiffened, shaking Zhou Xiao’s head harder, sorrowfully saying, “Xiao Xiao, wake up!”
Zhou Xiao’s head shook vigorously back and forth… then he regained his senses, groaning in pain, “I want—”
“What do you want? Water?” the dean asked anxiously.
“I, I want—” Zhou Xiao pounced on the dean, completely gone mad, “I want people! I want men! I want alphas! It doesn’t matter if they’re not handsome, I just want a muscular alpha all over me now!”
This blunt and vulgar statement made all the omegas blush with embarrassment.
The dean was dumbfounded, her face changing color rapidly, stuttering, “Xiao, Xiao Xiao, snap out of it! You’re a beta, what do you want with alphas! You’re a normal boy!”
“I want it! I want it!” Zhou Xiao had been tortured to the point of losing all reason, roaring, “I feel terrible, help me find the security guard, now!!!”
The dean couldn’t believe it, shrieking, “Xiao Xiao!”
“You’re still dawdling here! Why aren’t you finding me a man?!” Zhou Xiao glared with bloodshot eyes, shouting, “Then it’s you, Mom!”
The dean stood dumbfounded: “Me? What?”
The next moment, Zhou Xiao tackled the dean to the ground again, shocking all the omegas!
After the dean reacted, she screamed, slapped her own son across the face, then scrambled to get away, looking utterly disheveled!
She trembled as she hid among the omegas, and they, seeing Zhou Xiao chasing after them, hurriedly dodged.
With nowhere to hide, the dean circled a tree in the yard with Zhou Xiao in pursuit, her high heels flung off!
She screamed, “Quick, call the security guard! Get the security guard here!”
Several omegas rushed off to call the security guard. When the security guard arrived, bewildered, Zhou Xiao pounced on him like a dog seeing a bone, scaring him into trembling!
The security guard turned and fled, Zhou Xiao, drawn by the faint alpha pheromones, chased after him relentlessly.
The security guard was dumbfounded. Zhou Xiao was a beta, so why was he chasing after an alpha like a madman? And why was he yelling “big dominant alpha, come quickly” as he chased?!
Panicked, the security guard said, “I have omegas, I can’t help you! You, you guys go find the janitor! That old man is also an alpha, though he’s sixty this year, he’s still capable! And he’s still single!”
The dean, about to faint, clutched her head in despair, “Suppressors, where are the suppressors, quickly bring the suppressors over!”
“Unfortunately,” a gentle voice spoke up nearby, “the suppressor machine is broken, and the repairman isn’t available tonight.”
The dean froze, goosebumps rising on her back.
She slowly turned around, clenching her fists.
At this point, the handsome young man had been standing in place all along, serene as if none of this had anything to do with him.
Through gritted teeth, the dean said, “Xu…Xu Yin—you drugged Zhou Xiao!”
“Are you talking about this?” Xu Yin took out the empty syringe in his hand, smiling. “I found it, didn’t expect that while I was still figuring out what it was, he suddenly lunged at me and accidentally stabbed himself with this needle.”
Xu Yin’s tone was light: “This is contraband for ordinary omegas, how could it appear in our orphanage?”
The dean panicked again, then feigned confidence, “You don’t need to worry about that, I’ll investigate!”
Xu Yin: “Oh, but I’ve already reported it to the Bureau.”
The dean was stunned: “What?”
Xu Yin tilted his head, looking innocent, “Discover contraband, report it to the Bureau. That’s what teachers have always taught us since we were kids, right, dean?”
To promote this motto, there was even a one-click reporting button everywhere in the area, including this orphanage.
Xu Yin glanced casually at the red button on the wall: “I suppose that’s not just for show, is it?”
The dean was completely dumbfounded.
—
This night was destined to be a sleepless one.
Seeing that an omega had brought the janitor who cleaned the orphanage over, and the janitor, upon seeing the scene, rolled up his sleeves and said, “Well, this could work too,” the dean nearly fainted. She grabbed a broom, and with a bang, smacked Zhou Xiao on the back of his head, knocking him out cold.
Then the security guard and the janitor carried Zhou Xiao back to his room, while the dean called for someone to bring suppressors.
It would take at least an hour for the suppressors to arrive from the city to the orphanage. Every minute felt like an eternity to the dean.
She chased all the other omegas back to their rooms, leaving only Xu Yin behind.
The two sat facing each other. She nervously tapped her leg, anxiously glancing outside from time to time, and occasionally glared fiercely at Xu Yin.
Meanwhile, Xu Yin calmly sipped his tea.
The omegas in the orphanage had been raised too timidly; that conspicuous one-click reporting button on the wall had never been pressed.
Perhaps it was because of this that the headmistress had become increasingly bold in her actions.
Unfortunately, while other omegas dared not press the button, Xu Yin did.
After all, pressing it wouldn’t cost him a piece of flesh.
An hour later, along with a delivery man, arrived officers and officials from the Regional Affairs Office and Omega rights Association.
The two officers wore black uniforms, while the two association officials wore a neat row of white ones.
Xu Yin glanced at the latter group and narrowed his eyes.
After handing over the suppressors to the security guard and sending him off to Zhou Xiao’s room, the dean nervously approached the two groups of people, nodding anxiously. “I apologize for troubling you to come over so late.”
“It’s alright, it’s our duty.” one of the officials of the Association glanced at Xu Yin, then asked, “So, what exactly happened?”
The group sat down.
The cameras in the hallway between the two buildings had been broken for a long time and didn’t capture anything. However, the cameras in other areas were functioning properly and happened to record footage of a little black dog running past with a syringe in its mouth.
Xu Yin lowered his gaze.
The little black dog had run away before the dean and the others arrived, and nobody knew where it was now.
