QHM Chapter 73 – Part 1

1TL: Part 1In the middle of the night, inside the warehouse.

In just a few minutes, with only a few brief words.

Lu Yuan and the others went from stunned, to astonished, and then to ecstatic joy at having lost and found it again.

They reddened their eyes, each of them crouching on the ground with their hands on their heads, or pressing their heads against the wall, laughing and crying.

On the way to this planet, anyone who fell ill would be sent to an isolation room.

If they recovered, they would be released; if not, they would be sent directly to the cold storage by the medical personnel in the isolation room, waiting for the staff to return to the main star system before being incinerated.

Clearly, Lu Yuan’s parents were among those who would never return.

However, at this very moment, Huo Lingqi told them that their parents were not dead.

It was Huo Lingqi’s father and his close friend Xiao Ya who had anticipated this step, arranging for people to be in those exile pods long before.

Of course, they had not yet fully suppressed the Xingyun Council, so all they could do was minimize the harm. For example, they could only secretly rescue those elders who the Xingyun Council viewed as a thorn in their side, taking risks to do so. As for the relatives, like Xu Yin, Lu Yuan, and the others, whom the Xingyun Council did not regard as a threat, they were still sent here.

According to Huo Lingqi’s father and Xiao Ya’s original plan, Xu Yin and Lu Yuan were supposed to live on the exiled planet until the former completely dealt with the Xingyun Council. Of course, during this time, they had people stationed on the planet to secretly protect their safety.

When Lu Yuan and the others had conflicts with Yue Ming, those people who were secretly protecting them almost intervened.

Fortunately, Huo Lingqi had directly resolved all the problems, which freed up some time, allowing them to station themselves on this exiled planet.

With this, many things could move faster, and Xu Yin, Lu Yuan, and the others were able to learn the truth more quickly.

“I’ve confirmed everything. Your parents are now all arranged in the same place. If you want to make secret communications, you can ask Xiao Jiu to help you arrange it.”

Lu Yuan and the others were so overwhelmed with emotion that they couldn’t even speak. They were all in their twenties, wiping their eyes and nodding vigorously, sobbing as they gasped for breath.

Huo Lingqi then looked at Xu Yin.

From start to finish, Xu Yin was the calmest of them all.

After all, Xu Yin was an outsider, different from Lu Yuan and the others, but every time he saw Xu’s mother, who seemed to be either lost in a mad world or trapped in past dreams, his emotions were always complex.

Fortunately, General Xu was not dead.

If they could see General Xu, perhaps Xu’s mother might one day wake up.

Huo Lingqi looked at him for a moment, then walked over and spoke softly: “General Xu’s situation is quite special. He was injured on the battlefield, and during the month he was imprisoned by Xingyun Council, he didn’t receive any treatment. As a result, his injury became very serious.”

“After my father and the others rescued him, they began treatment, but conservatively speaking,” Huo Lingqi paused before continuing, “he may have to sleep in the stasis chamber for ten years.”

Huo Lingqi hesitated, watching Xu Yin’s reaction. However, after hearing this, Xu Yin only gently replied, “As long as he’s still alive, that’s enough, isn’t it?”

Huo Lingqi fell silent for a moment, then said, “Your mother…”

“You’ve done your best,” Xu Yin interrupted with a soft tone.

Even the most capable people can’t predict everything, and many problems can only be solved step by step.

Given the situation at the time, the plan chosen by Huo’s father and the others had already required a lot of effort, and was a cautious approach to avoid attracting attention from the Xingyun Council.

Xu Yin’s mother’s condition, at the root, was caused by the Xingyun Council.

Xu Yin leaned in and whispered, “Everything will get better and better. Thank you, General Huo.”

This was exactly what Huo Lingqi had told him last night.

Huo Lingqi’s gaze darkened slightly.

He nodded seriously, as if reaffirming his promise.

Then he said, “Your mother also needs to be treated as soon as possible. I’ll have someone take her tonight, and we can meet up with the others. Is that alright?”

Xu Yin naturally had no objections. Reuniting with General Xu as soon as possible would be the best for both him and his mother.

Looking at the young man’s gentle and calm demeanor, Huo Lingqi couldn’t help but raise his hand to ruffle the young man’s hair.

When he realized this gesture was a bit intimate, he froze for a moment, standing still. The young man, however, lifted his eyes, gazing at him with a smile that held a warmth in his expression, one that didn’t need to be spoken to be felt.

Huo Lingqi’s Adam’s apple moved.

In that moment, it was as if he realized something. His hand, which had been resting on the back of the young man’s head, subconsciously tightened slightly.

After hearing the news that their parents were still alive, Lu Yuan and the others seemed to come back to life.

After they finished crying, they started shouting and yelling, and it was at this moment that Ming Yi arrived at the door.

He saw the warehouse doors tightly shut and heard the sounds of wailing and shouting coming from inside, completely confused.

After a brief hesitation, he stepped forward and knocked on the door. It took a while before the door was finally opened.

To his surprise, it was Lu Yuan who answered.

Lu Yuan’s eyes were still red, and when he saw Ming Yi, he froze for a moment before sneering and saying, “Oh, what brings you here so late?”

Ming Yi hadn’t expected that Lu Yuan would be the one to open the door. He furrowed his brow and asked, “I’m looking for Xu Yin. Where is he?”

Lu Yuan glanced at Ming Yi’s back and laughed, “Oh, you didn’t bring Xue Yuanqing with you? What, are you trying to sneak behind your boyfriend’s back and flirt with Xu Yin for the sake of your mental powers?”

Ming Yi: “???”

Feeling guilty to begin with, Ming Yi’s purpose was suddenly exposed, and he was immediately enraged. “Don’t spout nonsense!”

“Spout nonsense? Then why can’t you say whatever you want tomorrow during the day?” Lu Yuan scanned him up and down. “Did you gel your hair? And why is your shirt so deliberately unbuttoned? How shameless are you?”

Ming Yi: “??!!”

Before leaving, Ming Yi had indeed made an effort to look presentable, but he didn’t expect Lu Yuan to call him out like this. His face turned red, and in his embarrassment, he gritted his teeth and snapped, “I don’t want to talk to the son of a criminal. Call Xu Yin out!”

Lu Yuan’s expression immediately darkened.

He smiled, “You want to see Xu Yin?”

Ming Yi glared at him, remaining silent.

In the next second, he was suddenly yanked into the warehouse!

The door slammed shut behind him with a loud *bang*, and Ming Yi stumbled, falling to the ground in shock.

He couldn’t believe it, and in a fit of rage, he opened his mouth to curse, only to look up and see that the warehouse was filled with not just Lu Yuan, but also Yan Shu and the others.

Yan Shu and the others had just stopped crying, and their emotions were still a bit stirred up. They hadn’t expected Ming Yi to show up so suddenly.

After the surprise, their faces immediately turned cold.

Ming Yi, still somewhat aware, remembered that these people were exiled here partly because of his father, so an uneasy feeling immediately rose in his chest.

He swallowed nervously and looked around. In the corner, he saw Xu Yin and… Huo Lingqi?

The two of them were standing face to face, with Huo Lingqi blocking most of Xu Yin’s body, seemingly engaged in something.

Ming Yi instinctively called out, “Xu Yin!”

Hearing his voice, both Xu Yin and Huo Lingqi turned their gazes toward him.

Xu Yin raised an eyebrow, while Huo Lingqi’s expression turned cold, and a chilling aura emanated from him.

Lu Yuan gave Yan Shu and the others a glance, and they all gathered around Ming Yi.

Without turning around, Lu Yuan shouted, “General Huo, you don’t need to worry about us. We’re just handling a personal matter.”

Yan Shu and the others usually had gentle personalities, but that didn’t mean they were saints. They knew full well Ming Yi and Xue Yuanqing had come earlier, and they had been hiding in the warehouse ever since, not because they were afraid, but because they feared they wouldn’t be able to resist the urge to beat them up.

But now, Ming Yi had come straight to them, so there was no reason not to take action.

Moreover, after hearing the news that their parents were still alive, their emotions had shifted from joy to relief. They felt especially light-hearted after the mix of joy and sorrow.

Unfortunately, the exiled planet had nothing. There was no way to celebrate with something like a barbecue, but now that Ming Yi had practically walked into their hands, they finally had a reason to celebrate.

With a glance exchanged among them, they silently confirmed each other’s thoughts. Their eyes gleamed with excitement, and a sense of anticipation began to build.

Seeing the expressions on these people’s faces, Ming Yi’s scalp tingles with fear. He finally realized the gravity of the situation—he had come to coax Xu Yin, not to deliver himself into their hands!

Ming Yi warned, “You… you better think this through! You’re criminals!”

“So?” Lu Yuan twisted his wrist, the sound of bones cracking echoing in the quiet room.

“…” Ming Yi stuttered. “If you dare to do anything to me…”

Yan Shu interjected with a cold smile, “And what would you do?”

He flexed his ankle, and the joints make cracking sounds as he loosened up.

Ming Yi had lost it. He shouted, “I’ll make a call to the main star system, and you’ll all be finished! Ahhh—”

His voice was quickly drowned out by the sounds of fists and kicks.

Meanwhile, on the other side…

Huo Lingqi’s fingers, still resting on Xu Yin’s neck, shifted slightly, but the two of them kept their previous stance.

His gaze was intense as he looked at Xu Yin. “He wants to seduce you.”

The words were blunt, a direct challenge.

Xu Yin smiled.

Not wanting to tease his Lao gong anymore, Xu Yin reached out, his voice soft as he spoke, “Is there any man in this world who can compare to General Huo?”

His hands gently ran over Huo Lingqi’s shoulders before sliding to the back of his neck, where they hooked around his collar.

Huo Lingqi’s gaze instantly darkened.

Everything Xu Yin had just said and done confirmed the suspicions that had been brewing in Huo Lingqi’s mind. His throat went dry, and his heart began to race.

Sensing the tension building in the man’s body, Xu Yin smiled with narrowed eyes and leaned closer.

He got close to Huo Lingqi’s ear and softly said, “General Huo, I’m already eighteen. Do you think I should still wait for love?”

In the next second, Xu Yin was swept into Huo Lingqi’s arms and pressed against the wall.

Amid the sounds of punches, kicks, and pitiful cries, the man turned his face and kissed Xu Yin fiercely on the lips.

Those who were beating and those who were loving—this night, for everyone except Ming Yi, was filled with joy.

On the starship, Xue Yuanqing waited anxiously for a long time. When Ming Yi finally returned, Xue Yuanqing was shocked to see his face swollen and unrecognizable, immediately screaming in surprise.

Ming Yi, completely broken, staggered toward him. He grabbed Xue Yuanqing by the collar and slammed him to the ground, his voice hoarse and furious. “You told me to go! It’s all your fault! All of it!”

Xue Yuanqing, frightened out of his wits, screamed loudly. Soldiers rushed out upon hearing the noise, but by the time they arrived, Ming Yi had already clawed Xue Yuanqing’s face, leaving it a bloody, unrecognizable mess.

The soldiers were stunned!
