RCQT Chapter 112

Idol Talent Show

Chu Qianze’s back leaned against the white pillow, in a disadvantaged position but not in a hurry. He responded to Rong Jinghe’s advances, his fingers threading through the other’s hair, seemingly encouraging him to come closer.

Rong Jinghe grasped Chu Qianze’s collar, pulling him up, their bodies pressed together. The taste was even more delightful than imagined, and the sensation of their tongues entwined was captivating. If the previous fleeting touch left one momentarily dazed, now he had enough time to savor it.

With a subtle glint in his eyes, Rong Jinghe looked up at Chu Qianze, capturing the smile in his eyes.

After all that, am I the only one feeling this excited?

Feeling dissatisfied, he bent down, biting at the nape of his neck. Then, his tongue licked at the Adam’s apple.

“Are you sleeping here tonight?”

Chu Qianze’s collar was now open, exposing his collarbones to the air. However, he seemed indifferent. Tilting his head slightly, he gazed at the person in front of him and asked in a low voice.

A blatant invitation.

“I…” Rong Jinghe admitted that he was tempted, feeling an uncontrollable urge to agree.

At that moment, a knocking sound interrupted him, bringing him back to his senses.

Rong Jinghe remembered that he still had matters to attend to, especially regarding the aftermath of those people. He didn’t want Chu Qianze to know about these dirty affairs.

Though reluctant, but…

Rong Jinghe: “I’ll go to the next room, you rest well.”

Only heaven knew how much determination it took for him to say those words.

Seeing the other’s refusal, Chu Qianze felt a bit regretful but still expressed understanding. He guessed that Rong Jinghe had to handle the aftermath of the private room situation. Chu Qianze adjusted his collar, saying, “Well, get some rest too.”

“Goodnight.” Rong Jinghe stood up, but as he was about to leave, he hesitated. Finally, he bent down, biting him once again.

Chu Qianze raised his hand to touch the spot and grumbled, “Are you a dog? If you want a kiss, kiss me. Why bite?”

Just as Rong Jinghe was about to respond, they heard another knocking outside the door. These people, can’t they find a more considerate time?!

“Fine, I won’t say anything more. I’m going to sleep,” Chu Qianze waved his hand, lazily bidding a good night.

Rong Jinghe walked out, closing the door. Once away from Chu Qianze, he composed his expression and spoke coldly.

“Come to the room.”

Late at night, the door to the ward opened slowly, and Rong Jinghe walked in from outside. Approaching Chu Qianze, he made sure the latter was truly asleep. He pursed his lips, gently nudged Chu Qianze to the side, and then lay down himself.

For some reason, after handling the matters, instead of sleeping, all he could think about were Chu Qianze’s words. Sleep seemed elusive.

So, he decided to join the crowd and squeeze in with others. Although it was a bit strange to sneak over in the middle of the night while everyone was asleep, he figured he could wake up early the next day and return to the next room while Chu Qianze was still asleep.

After completing these actions, he cautiously glanced at Chu Qianze, ensuring he hadn’t disturbed him, and then breathed a sigh of relief.

Resting his hand on his own waist, Rong Jinghe closed his eyes. There was something reassuring about Chu Qianze, a mysterious and faint sense of familiarity.

Unconsciously, he drifted off to sleep.

Chu Qianze woke up when the door opened, and upon opening his eyes, he saw Rong Jinghe lying sideways on the bed, with half of his body hanging off the edge.

In such a small space, it was impressive that the man managed to squeeze in.

Chu Qianze shifted aside to make more room, embracing Rong Jinghe.

In the morning, Rong Jinghe woke up, meeting a pair of smiling eyes.

“Morning.”

Did I… oversleep?

Rong Jinghe responded a bit slowly, “Morning.”

“Opened my eyes and saw you; I thought I was sleepwalking,” Chu Qianze teased, squeezing the hand he held.

“No, I couldn’t sleep and came over here voluntarily,” Rong Jinghe explained.

“It’s not early now; let’s get up. We need to go back to the dorm. If I remember correctly, there’s an event today,” Chu Qianze stretched and got out of bed. Seeing Rong Jinghe not moving, he turned back, “What’s wrong?”

“So, what’s our situation now?” Rong Jinghe asked.

Hearing this, Chu Qianze countered, “What do you think the situation is?”

“Well…” Was there even a need to say it out loud? Lover, romantic partner, or maybe even a future spouse.

But they only kissed last night; discussing these things now seemed too soon.

“According to the company contract, I’m not allowed to be in a romantic relationship right now,” Chu Qianze recalled the information he knew.

What does that mean?

Not allowed to be in a relationship… does that mean there’s nothing between us after all?

Rong Jinghe’s fingers tightened, a glint passing through his eyes, but he controlled himself and didn’t show it.

“But my contract with the company is also ending soon. After it’s terminated, there’s no need to consider such matters,” Chu Qianze said leisurely.

Rong Jinghe asked, “You’re terminating your contract?”

“Yeah, they might as well sell me. With a company like that, waiting for the contract to end is like waiting to go home for the holidays.”

“Alright, I’ll wait for you,” Rong Jinghe said directly.

Pleased with the other’s reaction, Chu Qianze chuckled, “Wait for me? What if things don’t work out…”

“I’ll pay the breach of contract fee for you, then sign you over so everyone knows you’re mine,” Rong Jinghe said casually, but possessiveness filled his words.

Hearing this, Chu Qianze found everything about it adorable.

“The studio currently only has me. You’re welcome to join anytime,” Rong Jinghe added.

Last night, he only realized how many people coveted Chu Qianze. Initially thinking that dealing with Ling Yan would settle everything, upon further investigation, he discovered that Ling Yan was just the first to make a move—a forerunner. In reality, many were still in a wait-and-see attitude. If Chu Qianze were available, more people would join the fray.

Damn it, Chu Qianze had no clue about his own position.

However, he didn’t need to know.

Rong Jinghe had never felt as grateful for being born into the Rong family as he did today. Just having the Rong surname was enough to have a deterrent effect on others. Although it had caused him quite a bit of trouble in the past, he could use it now.

Chu Qianze cleared his throat, feigning modesty, “What benefits are there in signing with you?”

“No need to stay single, freedom in love, and you can even date the boss,” Rong Jinghe said with a serious expression.

Pfft.

Who has these kinds of terms? It’s like misusing public resources.

Chu Qianze’s eyes twinkled with a smile, “Well, I’ll consider it.”

“Consider?”

Rong Jinghe leaned in, “Can’t you give a direct answer?”

“Even when buying things, you compare prices from three different sources. I have to estimate my own value,” Chu Qianze casually provided a reason.

Alright, he just wanted to see Rong Jinghe’s anxious expression.

Initially thinking of making another attempt, Rong Jinghe realized upon seeing Chu Qianze, this person was just looking for amusement.

If it were someone else, he might have exploded immediately. But with this person in front of him…

“After estimating, you’ll find out that I’m the best option,” Rong Jinghe said, “Because in my heart, you’re priceless.”

“I can’t tell; you still have the potential to be a CEO,” Chu Qianze sighed sincerely.

“Thinking too much,” Rong Jinghe blinked, “I’m just a no-name comeback.”

“A pitiful soul who had to make a comeback after breaking ties with the original company?” Chu Qianze gave him a character background.

“I can go with that. It has a certain vibe,” Rong Jinghe considered, thinking it was okay, though it had a hint of playing the victim.

“Alright, let’s get moving; otherwise, we’ll be late,” Chu Qianze urged.

When the two returned to the dorm, it was quiet inside. Hong and Ye Lunguo were still sound asleep.

Rong Jinghe put his things in place and exchanged a glance with Chu Qianze, shrugging.

“Wake up! The sun is shining on your butts, and you’re still sleeping!” Chu Qianze pulled open the curtains, letting the sunlight stream in.

“Hmm? It’s not even light out yet…” Hong’s voice sounded, still half-asleep.

“You can say that after pulling up the bed curtains,” Chu Qianze chuckled. “When I woke up this morning, that’s what I called not being light out.”

Ye Lunguo peeked out from the bed curtains, “Brother Chu, Brother Jinghe, you’re back.”

He yawned, rubbing his eyes, “What time is it now?”

“Seven forty,” Chu Qianze replied.

Suddenly sitting up, Ye Lunguo fully awakened, “Oh no, oh no, we’re going to be late!”

Hong also got out of bed and headed towards the bathroom.

“Hong, why did you lock the door?” Ye Lunguo slowed down, only to find that the door was locked.

“I’m going to the bathroom; just wait a minute!” Hong said.

“Hurry up!” Seeing that it would take a while, Ye Lunguo went back to his spot, put on his clothes, and splashed some cold water on his face.

Rong Jinghe leaned against the nearby table, watching the two hurriedly getting ready as if they were going into battle. It seemed a bit helpless.

“You guys go ahead; Jinghe and I will grab breakfast first,” Chu Qianze said, not bothering to wait for them. Ignoring the two late risers’ cries of despair, he pulled Rong Jinghe out of the room.

“Not waiting for the two of them?” Rong Jinghe walked alongside Chu Qianze.

“I just want to walk with you,” Chu Qianze said casually.

Rong Jinghe halted for a moment, pursed his lips, and quickly regained composure.

Trending above hot searches, a sudden explosive post.

[Shocking! XXX Multiple Person Exercise, He’s Involved?! (Photos) (Photos)]

[Are they not even drafting rumors now? Leng Jing is still filming a variety show; where does he find the time for this? Even photo manipulation should consider logic, right?]

[Replying to the above, there are no traces of Photoshop.]

[Today, when passing by the local police station, I saw someone being taken in for investigation, and there’s a person who looks a lot like him.]

[The police issued a notice… Leng, that’s a rather uncommon surname, especially with dyed red hair.]

[Seriously? I thought he just had a bad personality; turns out there’s this backstory too. I want likes for the detailed process.]

[On another note, why does Leng Jing have so many votes? Even for this event, not everyone from Class A went, and he, ranked 20th, ended up going. If there’s no inside information, I’ll write my name backward!]

[Is the person above an idiot? Even if you don’t like him, there’s no need to kick him when he’s down. I like straightforward people like him.]

[So straightforward that he went to the police station, that’s really something.]

As Chu Qianze idly scrolled through information, this was what caught his eye. Later on, during the program recording, he didn’t see Leng Jing.

According to the mentor’s explanation, Leng Jing withdrew from the competition due to personal reasons.

As for the specifics…

Chu Qianze glanced at Rong Jinghe, rubbed his nose.

[Host, do we need to continue the plan for this?]

‘Plans have been implemented, so what else is there to continue… Forget it, go have fun on your own.’
