RCQT Chapter 122

Play within a Play

On the way to the filming location, Shen Hezhi, with one hand on the steering wheel, occasionally shifted his gaze towards Chu Qianze’s face.

Whenever he looked at that face, he couldn’t help but think of the dreams of these past few days, and a complex mix of emotions surged in his heart.

How could he associate this person with that figure? He even entertained thoughts of doing such absurd things.

Previously, he criticized Chu Qianze, saying he shouldn’t judge recklessly, yet here he was, dreaming of doing things to him…

Shen Hezhi felt like he had tainted his idol in his heart.

Too bad.

He couldn’t help but sigh, and his whole demeanor slumped.

“Um, how many years have you been driving?” Chu Qianze couldn’t help but ask.

“Five years, why?” Startled by the sudden question, Shen Hezhi looked up at Chu Qianze and then returned his gaze to the road.

“Many experienced drivers end up in accidents because they think their skills are top-notch and then accidentally flip the car,” Chu Qianze said, considering his words carefully.

From the moment he got into the car until now, this person either stole glances at him or sighed with an expression of life being unbearable. It really made one wonder if the other might accidentally mistake the gas pedal for the brake, or carelessly overlook some obstruction and cause a collision.

“I was going to say—” Shen Hezhi began to speak, tilting his head, but then he met Chu Qianze’s gaze. Memories from last night rushed back, and his words got stuck in his throat.

Damn.

What are you looking at me for? If you want to look, fine, but why act like a scarecrow here?

“Look at the road?” Chu Qianze pointed ahead.

Redirecting his gaze, Shen Hezhi was accustomed to maintaining eye contact while speaking. So, in the next instance he began to talk, he half-turned his head again.

“I don’t need to look at the road, you know why.”

“Hmm?”

A car approached from the front, and Shen Hezhi withdrew his hand from the steering wheel.

Chu Qianze: ?!

The steering wheel turned, and the vehicle in front automatically made way, allowing the two oncoming vehicles to easily pass without incident.

“Because it’s self-driving.”

“…You’re impressive.”

His lips twitched, and Chu Qianze had nothing more to say.

The two sat in silence, and an eerie quiet settled in.

“Chu…” Shen Hezhi initially wanted to call out the name, but just as he was about to say it, he abruptly stopped.

Pressing down that strange feeling, he pursed his lips. “Chu Qianze.”

Chu Qianze squinted his eyes in the breeze and responded, “What’s up?”

“Are you reading the script?”

“Yeah, Director He said I should familiarize myself with the script, memorize all the lines because during the actual filming, we’ll be shooting whole segments at once.”

Shen Hezhi: “Is there anything you’re not quite clear about?”

Chu Qianze: “Not for now.”

Shen Hezhi: “If there’s anything unclear, feel free to bring it up. We can discuss it together.”

Chu Qianze: “Okay, I got it.”

The conversation ended, and the car cabin fell silent once again.

For some reason, Shen Hezhi brought up a topic on his own, “The audition is just the beginning; the actual filming is the most crucial. Since you haven’t acted before, it might be challenging at first, but try to adapt as quickly as possible.”

“Yeah, I’ll do my best.”

“This time we’re using a semi-holographic setup, combining real architecture with projections for a more realistic feel. Director He doesn’t like dealing with too many illusions; everyone will be there in person, no stand-ins. Be prepared in advance. If you feel you can’t handle it, don’t force yourself.”

Chu Qianze turned a page of the script.

Listening to this sounded like a piece of advice, but before, didn’t he have that attitude of disliking him, considering him as his number one enemy? How come he suddenly changed his demeanor today?

Chu Qianze didn’t conceal his expression, and Shen Hezhi caught him right in the act.

His own behavior was too unusual; he suspected something was wrong.

Clutching his fingers, he blurted out, “If you feel you can’t handle it, it’s better to withdraw early and cut your losses, so you don’t hold everyone back.”

Sure enough.

Chu Qianze replied, “Rest assured, since I’ve chosen to act, I’ll stay until the end. I have that determination.”

“Hope so.”

Shen Hezhi tightly pressed his lips, switched the car from autopilot to manual mode, stepped on the gas pedal, and the speedometer’s needle instantly shifted. The engine noise intensified as the black shadow disappeared at the end of the street.

The street scene rapidly retreated, and the wind rushed into the cabin. It was quite refreshing, actually.

Sensing the suppressed frustration from the person beside him, Chu Qianze lightly pressed a button. The window ascended slightly, only opening a small gap. On the tinted glass, the faint curve of a slightly smirking mouth was distinctly visible.

A light chuckle wafted up from Chu Qianze’s lips, appearing briefly before being rapidly expelled outside, dissipating into the air.

Upon reaching the filming location, Shen Hezhi stepped on the brake, and the car door automatically opened. “We’re here.”

Closing the script, Chu Qianze got out of the car and was met with several pairs of eyes, some of whom were the staff here, recognizing him from the license plate. A few of them even flashed their lightbrains, occasionally shining a light.

“Hello?” Chu Qianze greeted.

“Hello.” They smiled back, raising what they had in their hands before turning away, seemingly continuing with their work.

Shen Hezhi stepped out of the car, and the vehicle was promptly taken to a parking spot.

“Let’s go. Director He asked us to find him when we arrived.”

The two entered the elevator, feeling the sensation of weightlessness, and the next second, they appeared in an open area.

Director He saw them, greeted them first, exchanged a few words with someone nearby, and then walked over.

“Xiao Chu, you arrived just in time. Today, all our equipment has just arrived. Whenever you have some free time, take a look and familiarize yourself. Those are all the things we’ll be using for filming. There’s not much happening these days, so let’s focus on getting acquainted and building some teamwork.” Director He pointed to a nearby shelf.

“Xiao Shen, since you brought him over, you’re responsible for him. Take him around to get familiar with the environment. Being together, you can also practice lines and get a feel for each other. It’s a win-win.”

With everyone assigned their tasks, Director He didn’t delay any further and went to command other areas.

“Let’s go. I’ll take you around nearby,” Shen Hezhi said, contemplating where to start, and he noticed Chu Qianze seemed fascinated by the weapons counter.

“Want to check out the weapons first?”

“Is that okay?”

“It doesn’t matter, we’ll have to look at everything anyway.” Shen Hezhi took the lead and guided Chu Qianze to the shelves.

Chu Qianze picked up a long sword from the top, feeling its weight. He flicked his fingers on the blade, causing it to vibrate slightly, and a crisp sound echoed. “I can sense that feeling.”

“Director He put in a lot of effort to find these things initially,” Shen Hezhi commented, observing as the person in front picked up a propulsion device, examining it up and down.

“This is different from back then.”

Surprisingly, he could tell with just a few glances. It seems they put in some effort.

“Because the craftsmanship was lost, we can only use modern technology for simulated reproduction,” Shen Hezhi said with a hint of regret.

Chu Qianze picked up a left-handed revolver, patting it in his hand. His expression turned wry, “This is a model?”

“Yeah.”

Losing interest, Chu Qianze placed it back in its original spot.

“This one incorporates virtual imaging technology. Once it’s integrated into the scene, it’ll become real.”

“It looks really good. Director He must have put in a lot of effort to get these.” As they spoke, Chu Qianze went through everything on the shelf, gaining a rough understanding of the components and assembly.

While the two were conversing, the staff nearby were setting up the scene, with some of them multitasking by engaging in a group chat.

[Did you see that? Who’s that leading man?]

[No idea, haven’t seen that face before. Am I out of the loop? If I’ve seen that face before, I’m sure I’d remember.]

[Could be a newcomer…?]

[You don’t know Director He’s temperament? He must be quite something.]

[It could also be someone with a powerful background. I saw Brother Shen introducing him, and they seemed to have a good relationship.]

[I’ll keep observing.]

Arriving at the projection area, Chu Qianze spun around and noticed many peculiar devices.

“What’s this?”

Shen Hezhi glanced at it and provided the name.

“Ah, I see.” After getting a brief explanation, Chu Qianze nodded and pointed to another side.

“What about this?”

After explaining all the questions, Shen Hezhi cleared his throat. “Any more questions for now?”

“Not at the moment.”

The conversation between the two had no reservations, so everyone nearby could hear very clearly.

They understood one thing – this person was actually a newcomer?!

[A newcomer dropped from the sky…]

As soon as this comment was made, the group chat fell silent. While the chatting came to a temporary halt, everyone was immersed in their work. What they were really thinking remained known only to themselves.

After thoroughly understanding the most interesting weapons and simulation facilities, there wasn’t much else Chu Qianze wanted to see. So, he followed Shen Hezhi throughout, going through everything here according to his pace. Occasionally, he’d pose a question, and Shen Hezhi would provide an answer.

After half a day, Chu Qianze had a general understanding.

“We’ve seen quite a bit today, focusing on some of the more important things. It’s best to remember them, and you can gradually explore the rest later,” Shen Hezhi said, and a notification appeared on his brain-computer interface. After checking it, he turned slightly to Chu Qianze, “I have something to deal with in a bit. You…”

“I’ll just wander around by myself.”

At that moment, the door opened, and a tall man walked in. “Shen Hezhi, long time no see.”

“Mo Jiao?” Shen Hezhi recognized the familiar face. “Aren’t you supposed to come tomorrow?”

“I happened to pass by this area after an event ended, so I thought I’d check it out.” Mo Jiao said, looking at Chu Qianze beside him, “And who is this?”

“Chu Qianze.”

Hmm?

Mo Jiao didn’t react immediately.

Shen Hezhi added, “His name is Chu Qianze, playing the role of Chu Qianze.”

“Your name suits you too well. It must be fun when it’s your turn for the roll call.” Mo Jiao chuckled.

“I’m Mo Jiao, playing the role of Hu Jia, you know, your good buddy.” He extended his hand.

“Hello.”

Chu Qianze shook hands with him.

“Take him around here for a bit. I’ve got something to attend to,” Shen Hezhi said.

“Sure, no problem,” Mo Jiao readily agreed.

Once Shen Hezhi left, Mo Jiao naturally took on the role of a guide. “Xiao Chu, have you acted before?”

“No, this is my first time,” Chu Qianze didn’t hide the fact.

“To be noticed by Director He on your first try, that’s impressive! Director He has high standards; it’s not easy to catch his eye. It seems like this role is destined for you,” Mo Jiao gestured with a thumbs-up.

“I heard Shen Hezhi is your guarantor?” He leaned in, asking in a hushed tone.

“What’s the matter?”

“It’s amazing. Before, people tried to use three real estate properties as collateral for his guarantee, but he rejected them because he found it troublesome.”

“Didn’t know about that.”

“Yeah, I remember when it happened. Someone wanted to pursue him, so they thought of this method, attempting to use Chu Qianze, the former general, as a topic to attract attention. As a result, Shen Hezhi immediately saw them as a rival. If you didn’t know, you’d think he encountered a love rival.” Mo Jiao couldn’t stop chatting about the gossip he had picked up over the years, then he went on to enumerate two or three incidents where someone liked the other and made them their guarantor.

“Why would someone want to pursue someone and then rush to have them as their guarantor?” Chu Qianze was puzzled by this bizarre thought process.

“Don’t you know?” Mo Jiao almost couldn’t catch his breath. It seemed he had been talking in vain if Chu Qianze didn’t even understand this fundamental premise.

“In our industry, because one person can only act as a guarantor for one person within the same period, the reverse is the same. The guarantor and the one being guaranteed have an alternative contractual relationship. From then on, the social status of the two individuals will be bound together. So, if you want to test whether the other person is interested in you, you just ask if they’re willing to be your guarantor or if you can be theirs. Romantic, isn’t it?” Mo Jiao let out a long sigh.

Where was the romance in that?

“That line is something like, ‘Oh, I am willing to be your guarantor, in the future, together we’ll bear unlimited joint responsibility.'” Mo Jiao covered his mouth and squealed.

“…You have a lot of artistic cells,” Chu Qianze could only say.

“Hahaha, just average.”

At lunchtime, Chu Qianze went to a nearby table and chose an empty seat to sit down.

As more people gradually filled the seats, some formed groups, discussing the latest gossip. Some approached Chu Qianze, took a look at him, and then quickly changed their minds about sitting there.

Every now and then, eyes glanced over at Chu Qianze, conveying various emotions. It seemed like people were quietly discussing something.

After placing his bowl aside, Chu Qianze opened his holographic screen, put on his earphones, and the world became purified.

When Shen Hezhi arrived at the cafeteria, the first person he saw was Chu Qianze. He was sitting alone at a table; other places were packed, but that one was conspicuously empty.

Shen Hezhi initially thought about taking the food to go but decided to eat there instead.

Carrying his food, Shen Hezhi walked over and cleared his throat. “Alone?”

After a while with no response, Shen Hezhi raised his voice a bit, still without any acknowledgement.

Sensing something amiss, he directly came to the opposite side and placed the plate down. He saw that the other person had something in his ears.

Listening to music.

Seeing someone in front of him, Chu Qianze looked up and took off his earphones. “Didn’t you go out for something?”

“Solved it and came back,” Shen Hezhi picked up his knife and fork, cutting a piece of steak. “Where’s Mo Jiao? Wasn’t he supposed to bring you here?”

“Got dragged away by the manager,” Chu Qianze said.

With small talk flowing, the food on the table slowly diminished, and lunch approached its end.

“What are you planning to do later?” Shen Hezhi put down his knife and fork, taking a sip of soup.

“Find a quiet place to go over the script,” Chu Qianze said, not entirely sure.

“How about rehearsing together?” Shen Hezhi suggested.

Chu Qianze nodded; there were indeed some parts he wasn’t quite sure about.

“There’s a place that’s quite suitable,” Shen Hezhi pondered for a moment.

“Where?”

Instead of immediately explaining, Shen Hezhi lifted his plate. “Come with me.”

The two of them walked out of the cafeteria, turning a few corners until they reached an open space.

In front of them was a lawn, and nearby, a large tree with dense branches cast a cool shade over the grass.

“This is it,” Shen Hezhi said.

Chu Qianze shielded his eyes with one hand and looked up. “This is a persimmon tree.”

“Yes, this tree has been here for hundreds of years. It’s said that when Chu Qianze traveled through here, he even took a nap under this tree.” As Shen Hezhi finished speaking, he felt a breeze, and Chu Qianze effortlessly climbed up the tree, standing at the junction of two branches.

“This place is indeed perfect for sleeping!” With one hand gripping a branch, he lazily reclined on it.

Sunlight filtered through the leaves, creating spots of light that sprinkled over him like magic.

“I was talking about resting on the lawn. How could it be sleeping in a tree?” Shen Hezhi said with a touch of annoyance.

“Why not?” Chu Qianze bent one leg, hands resting behind his head. It seemed like he saw something, his eyes slightly squinted.

“How could he possibly climb a tree?!”

“Not only climbing trees but also picking persimmons to eat.” He reached up and plucked a round, plump persimmon.

“Are you talking about yourself?” Shen Hezhi understood, just about to say a few more words when two persimmons came flying down. He quickly reached out to catch them. “What are you doing?”

“Eating? They look quite sweet.” Chu Qianze asked.

The persimmons in his hand were substantial and weighty. Shen Hezhi looked up at Chu Qianze and, after a while, said, “He won’t sleep in a tree. Who knows what might be up there.”

“Are you still hung up on that? I thought you’ve moved on,” Chu Qianze said, exasperated.

“He might pick a few baskets of persimmons at most,” Shen Hezhi replied, adding, “but that’s to bring back to his comrades.”

Chu Qianze sat on the tree and chuckled, “You know him pretty well.”

“Of course,” Shen Hezhi peeled a persimmon and tasted it, surprised. “The taste is quite good.”

He was about to look up and speak to someone when he suddenly felt something was off. He saw a shadow pass over the ground in front of him, long and curved.

That is… a snake?

Shen Hezhi’s body froze.

“Ahh!!”

Shouts erupted, making Shen Hezhi jump suddenly. Following the shadow’s position, he quickly turned around and grabbed the thing.

Upon closer inspection, there was no snake; it was just a branch wrapped in leaves.

He threw it directly to the ground.

Muffled laughter echoed from above, and now even a fool would know what had happened.

Shen Hezhi looked up, “Are you messing with me?”

“I’m innocent, it’s just a coincidence,” Chu Qianze raised both hands, leaning against a nearby branch.

Shen Hezhi clenched his teeth, walked a couple of steps to the tree, and said, “When are you coming down?”

Upon hearing this, Chu Qianze immediately understood the implication, “I won’t come down; you come up.”

Shen Hezhi stared at the tree trunk ahead, caught in a brief dilemma.

“If you can’t climb trees, then just stay down there,” Chu Qianze said, and a persimmon flew towards him. He raised his hand to catch it.

“You only had one persimmon in your hand, and now it’s gone. What are you going to do?” Chu Qianze said, then proceeded to open and eat the persimmon.

Shen Hezhi’s forehead displayed an exclamation mark. He took a few steps back and started running to climb up but pretended to fall halfway.

The tree absorbed the impact with a muffled sound, and the leaves rustled. Chu Qianze held onto the trunk, emitting a misty laugh.

Seeing the other raising his foot to continue, he said, “Wait, I’m coming down.”

Shen Hezhi raised an eyebrow, standing in place without moving.

“Move back a bit, or how am I supposed to get down?”

Seeing the other take two steps back, he continued, “To the left, a little more… Yes.”

Stretching lazily, Chu Qianze shifted forward, dropping down vertically. Just as he was about to adjust his angle, Shen Hezhi ran over.

“Be careful!” The body responded faster than the brain. Shen Hezhi quickly reached the tree, caught Chu Qianze, and then, due to the inertia, lay down on the ground. He couldn’t help but emit a muffled groan.

Elbows on the ground, Chu Qianze turned over and sat beside him.

“Are you okay?” After being bumped like that.

“I’m fine.” Shen Hezhi sat up, recalling the scene just now. He realized he might have been overly concerned; it wasn’t a slip at all.

“I’ll wash my hands.”

“Let’s do it together.” Chu Qianze stood up and pulled Shen Hezhi along.

As they approached the corner to wash their faces, after turning off the tap, they heard footsteps approaching.

“I really don’t understand what Director He was thinking, choosing a newcomer to play… Why name him Chu Qianze? My dimensional barrier is about to break.”

“Maybe Director He has his own ideas.”

“Having ideas shouldn’t lead to this. Can a newcomer really portray that feeling? My idol is going to be ruined qwq.”

“There’s probably some backstage dealings, right? Being a parachute drop is one thing, but landing such an important role? I’m guessing there’s some background or connection; otherwise, how could it start like this, like a star falling from the sky.”

“And Shen Hezhi became his guarantor, pulling strings to this extent. I’m truly amazed.”

“Really, if the performance turns out bad, we’ll be the ones suffering.”

“This lock is a bit tricky.”

“Need some help?” a male voice chimed in.

“Thanks,” the staff turned around, and the keys slipped from their hand, “Mr. Shen, Mr. Shen.”

Shifting his gaze, Chu Qianze was also there. When did he arrive?

Shen Hezhi picked up the keys and unlocked the door for them. “Alright, you can go in now.”

“Thank you.”

Shen Hezhi smirked, “No need to thank me.”

After saying that, he walked away with Chu Qianze.

Glancing at the people around, Chu Qianze watched as Shen Hezhi’s expression shifted from anger to calm after walking out.

“When you walked out just now, I thought you were going to scold someone.”

Shen Hezhi: “You’re not even angry?”

“What’s there to be angry about? I was originally an air-drop, and I was designated by you and Director He for this air-drop.” Chu Qianze said casually.

“You’ve got good mental resilience.”

“If I get angry every time I hear someone say it, I’d have a shortened lifespan. It’s better to let it go.” Chu Qianze continued, and Shen Hezhi remained silent.

One night, the actors and the director held a meeting to discuss issues related to the later stages of filming.

Chu Qianze sat cross-legged on a cushion, holding the script and making notes.

“Xiao Chu, how about shooting the third scene tomorrow?” He asked, cuing him.

The third scene? Are we going straight to an action scene? That’s quite exciting.

“Are you familiar with everything? I heard from Xiao Shen that you’re a quick learner,” He said.

“It’s mostly there,” Chu Qianze replied.

“This scene has some difficulty, try your best,” He rubbed his little beard.

The action is challenging and not easy. If done well, it can dispel most people’s doubts.

These past few days, he could see the atmosphere on the set, and if it continued for a long time, it would affect many things.

Some things couldn’t be explicitly stated, so they had to be resolved indirectly, proven with actions.

Chu Qianze understood He Luo’s intentions. Although those words didn’t matter to him, since the opportunity presented itself, there was no reason not to throw it back. “I’ll perform well.”

The next day, Chu Qianze officially started shooting.

He entered the dressing room, where the military uniform caught his eye.

His fingers traced over it, the tactile sensation markedly different from the memory. This served as a reminder that everything had already passed.

He lifted the top and effortlessly flipped it onto himself. The sleeves cut through the air with a crisp arc.

Jacket, epaulets, military emblem…

Putting on each accessory, his gaze lingered on the military cap beside him.

Picking it up, he turned and left, securing it in place as he walked.

As he exited the dressing room, he bumped into Shen Hezhi.

Seeing Chu Qianze in this outfit, he froze on the spot.

It was just too alike.

“Does it look okay?” Chu Qianze adjusted the military cap and raised an eyebrow.

“Yeah,” Shen Hezhi replied, tearing his almost glued gaze away. “Director He asked me to call you. It’s time to get ready to start.”

“OK~” Chu Qianze took a few quick steps to the side, arriving at the set. “Director He, I’m here.”

He Luo was adjusting the camera when he heard the voice and looked up to see Chu Qianze. “Not bad, not bad, there’s that spirit in there!”

“Just so-so.” Chu Qianze humbly replied, his gaze shifting to the monitor. “Director He, are we confirming that we’ll follow the script for the upcoming scenes?”

“Confirmed, the route and everything are all set. Don’t be nervous, just follow the plan we discussed earlier. As long as you perform the actions, it’ll be fine,” He Luo said casually, though he was prepared for several retakes.

“Haha, then I’ll just follow my own state.”

Chu Qianze arrived at the top of the tower, tightening the belt of his propulsion device.

At this moment, the holographic projection had been activated. Three gigantic alien creatures contorted their bodies, charging towards the residential buildings. They swept through the surroundings, grabbing people by their heads as residents desperately ran out.

The fitness equipment in the square had been cut off, posters at street corners torn apart, and benches along the road split open.

A voice sounded in his ears, Director He’s voice.

“Begin.”

Following the script, he was supposed to glide all the way across, eliminate the aliens in the air, and then land safely.

Chu Qianze took a small step and jumped, plummeting directly from the tower’s peak.

The wind roared past his eardrums, and his wrist brushed against the propulsion device switch. Changing the direction of his body’s descent, he made an incredible turn, propelling himself into the distance.

The throwing knife left the holster and soared into the air, spinning as it cut through the alien’s throat. Blood splattered, and the alien paused for a moment, its eyes shifting towards Chu Qianze.

Its body wriggled, blood splattering on the left side of its neck. The throwing knife whirled across the other side, and Chu Qianze caught it again.

He kicked off the nearby building, gracefully changing direction. Like a fish swimming in the ocean, like an eagle soaring in the sky, the entire set of movements flowed smoothly and effortlessly, as if it were instinctual.

It was too beautiful.

Chu Qianze pressed the button on his waist, and the belt carrying weapons was loosened, pausing briefly in mid-air before being thrown out in a practiced arc.

He leaned slightly forward, sprinting rapidly along the wall. Then, he turned and leaped, gliding through the air in a wide arc.

One, two,

When the third alien fell, everything here was cleared. Chu Qianze caught the hat falling from the sky and put it back on.

Reducing the power of the thrusters, he squatted down and landed steadily.

Straightening his knees, Chu Qianze twirled the dagger in his hand for a few spins before smoothly returning it to his belt.

Raising his hand, he adjusted the brim of his hat. On the screen, half of his face appeared, with deep and sharp eyes.

At the same time, soldiers rushed out from behind.

Several people formed a team, each with their own tasks in killing the aliens. The situation was quickly brought under control.

The tightly closed windows were pushed open a crack. Someone stuck their head out from inside, witnessing the scene of aliens being killed and falling one by one.

Compared to the massive size of the alien creatures, Chu Qianze seemed inconspicuous. However, in the hearts of those witnessing, he appeared as a towering mountain, keeping all danger at bay.

The moment they saw Chu Qianze, a thought arose in their hearts,

No need to worry; they are safe.

On the set, people refrained from speaking loudly.

The preceding scene depicted an alien invasion, with the flames of war flying, as if transported back two hundred years, with chaos and disaster prevailing. Collapsing buildings, debris and dust rising from shattered roofs, the cries of people fleeing in different directions—everything was so vivid that it made one forget to breathe.

As the scene concluded, the projection automatically dissipated, returning to its usual state. The grandeur from moments ago vanished, yet the emotions lingered in the hearts of the onlookers.

Chu Qianze exhaled and took off his hat, fanning himself with it. Glancing at the others nearby, he intended to ask if there were any issues, but he was met with thunderous applause.

The people around looked at Chu Qianze with faces filled with admiration.

“Too handsome, oh my god.”

“I can’t believe that was real; someone get me a coffin; I can’t handle it.”

“Was that last landing for real?”

He Luo stared at the screen. In fact, there was a specific screen dedicated to recording Chu Qianze’s movements. It displayed that from jumping off the spire to the final landing, every move he made perfectly overlapped with the original plan. It was as if it had been copied and pasted.

Or rather, his actions were more captivating and naturally handsome than the original plan.

What a find.

“My taste is indeed extraordinary,” He Luo chuckled.

Shen Hezhi stood with crossed arms next to the screen, also paying attention to the data above and naturally noticing that piece of information.

One hundred percent match, huh?

He shifted his gaze away from the screen, focusing on Chu Qianze on the set.
