RCQT Chapter 132

Play within a Play

[Chu Qianze: I’m fine with anything.]

[Shen Hezhi: Understood.]

His gaze lingered on the two words for a moment. Chu Qianze pondered what exactly “understood” meant.

What did he understand?

Before Chu Qianze could reply, another message popped up from the other person.

[Shen Hezhi: It’s very late; go to bed early.]

He’s not coming over? Chu Qianze’s tapping fingers paused, hovering in the air, as he replied: [Not coming over?]

[Shen Hezhi: Very tempted.]

Just as Chu Qianze was about to respond, he noticed a shadow passing by the balcony nearby. He lifted his eyes to look, and saw Shen Hezhi’s hand supporting the balcony railing, flipping over from above.

[Warning, warning, unidentified individual detected.]

The alarm sounded inside the room, and the house automatically entered defense mode. Just as further measures were about to be implemented, Chu Qianze pressed the stop button, stood up, and opened the door to the balcony.

“Why did you come in through the window?”

“I happened to be near the window; it’s convenient.” Shen Hezhi glanced to the side and retracted the action of activating the interference device.

“I feel like you’ve learned bad habits from me. If we had stopped it a bit later, the whole building would probably have been disturbed.” Chu Qianze stepped aside, making way for Shen Hezhi to enter.

“Well, you’re the one to blame for this.”

Shen Hezhi raised a faint smile and walked in, sitting directly on the bench, the same spot Chu Qianze had occupied.

“Since you can handle it anyway, I won’t say much.” Chu Qianze closed the door and approached, handing over a glass of cold water.

Shen Hezhi took the glass but didn’t stop there. With his other hand, he grabbed Chu Qianze’s wrist and pulled him towards himself, intending to share an unexpected kiss.

However, the envisioned scene did not unfold.

… Couldn’t budge.

Chu Qianze’s foundation was too stable.

Miscalculation.

Watching the other person’s frustrated expression, a playful gleam flickered in Chu Qianze’s eyes. As the other attempted another forceful move, he smoothly went along with the motion and leaned back.

Shen Hezhi didn’t expect to suddenly succeed. The water in his hand, now violently shaking, was on the verge of splattering. He quickly adjusted the angle, only to end up drenched himself.

The water soaked through his originally light shirt, clinging tightly to his body. Droplets traced down from the ends of his hair, infiltrating beneath the collar and onto the exposed collarbone.

“Sorry…” Shen Hezhi felt a bit embarrassed as he wiped his clothes, unintentionally spreading the water stains further. The concealment effect of the clothing vanished, replaced by a subtly alluring presence. Chu Qianze raised his hand, examining the water on his fingers, and wiped them onto the collar of Shen Hezhi’s shirt, lifting the slightly damp ends of his hair in the process.

“Watch out for your hair.”

Shen Hezhi’s movement of wringing out water came to a sudden halt as he collided with Chu Qianze’s eyes, a look that seemed to say more than words. It was then that he realized the foolishness of his actions.

…Why does he always feel like he’s still the restrained Shen Zhuofeng?

Breaking free from the initial misunderstanding, Shen Hezhi lifted Chu Qianze’s hand and kissed the back of it. “Can you do me a favor and help me take off this wet shirt, Commander Chu?”

His lips grazed over the fingertips, and Shen Hezhi raised his eyelids, his eyes carrying a tempting hint, a mix of shyness and unabashed emotion laid bare before Chu Qianze.

With a low chuckle, Chu Qianze traced his fingertips along the side of Shen Hezhi’s neck, following the curve down to the partially damp collar.

A faint tickle appeared on the side of his neck, and even though nothing had been done, Shen Hezhi couldn’t help but hold his breath, captivated by the subtle sensation.

“You have a great physique, clearly maintained through regular exercise.”

Chu Qianze’s fingertips, separated by the cold, damp fabric, tapped on Shen Hezhi’s left shoulder. Slowly, they moved downward, the pressure gradually increasing with each movement. The fingertips brushed over a sensitive spot, causing a slight curve in the skin and a shiver in Shen Hezhi’s body.

“I have regular training,” he replied, subtly straightening his posture to showcase his physique.

Chu Qianze nonchalantly responded, letting out a light chuckle. “I feel a bit tired.”

His eyes narrowed slightly as his fingers moved, kneading and rubbing. “Too lazy to move; you do it yourself.”

Shen Hezhi wrapped his arms around Chu Qianze’s neck, staring into the other’s eyes with determination, refusing to give in to the hint of mockery.

Shen Hezhi had his own competitive streak, and if he didn’t strip away Chu Qianze’s calm facade today, he might as well change his last name!

Allowing his voice to escape from his throat, Shen Hezhi pulled Chu Qianze down, overwhelming him on the bed and positioning himself on top.

He ruffled his hair, letting it scatter. Unbuttoning two buttons, he exposed his collarbone, revealing one of his shoulders in the process.

Shen Hezhi’s teeth grazed the edge, biting on one side of the sleeve as he partially undid the shirt, revealing half of his chest and a small portion of his upper abdominal muscles. He swayed his body, running his hand over various parts, aiming to showcase the scene to the fullest.

With the shirt draped over him, exposing his honey-colored and slightly pale abdominal muscles, Shen Hezhi leaned over to Chu Qianze’s ear. His voice was slightly husky, the tone low and enticing, accompanied by shallow breaths.

“Give it to me, brother.”

The alarm on the smart brain rang, and Chu Qianze reached out to silence it. Just as he was about to linger in bed for a bit longer, he noticed that Shen Hezhi had already opened his eyes, though they looked a bit swollen.

“Sleep a little more; you can snooze for another half hour.” Chu Qianze pulled him into an embrace, his voice slightly muffled.

Considering the upcoming work schedule, he had exercised considerable restraint the previous night. Even so, he had only managed to sleep for half an hour.

Shen Hezhi hummed in response, his eyes feeling a bit sore. He opened his mouth to say something but, due to staying up late and intense activities, speaking was a bit strenuous. Eventually, he just closed his mouth and went back to sleep.

He needed to recover quickly since he had a filming session later.

Half an hour later, the alarm resumed its ringing. Chu Qianze sat up straight, nudging Shen Hezhi next to him. “Time to get up.”

Seeing the drowsy acknowledgment, he turned away with a slightly amused frown.

“If you don’t get up now, it really will be too late.”

Shen Hezhi didn’t say anything, just extended a hand towards Chu Qianze.

A firm grip and a gentle pull, and Chu Qianze successfully helped him up.

“How are you feeling?”

Rubbing his waist, Shen Hezhi breathed out, adjusting his state. “A bit sore, but it’s not a big issue.”

“I’ve already told you not to rush. I’ll let you know next time.” Chu Qianze leaned over to give him a little massage.

Shen Hezhi blinked, leaning in to plant a kiss. “Looks like I need more practice.”

Chu Qianze glanced at him. “Practice what?”

“Methods to make you lose control faster.” Shen Hezhi thought to himself, contemplating which websites could offer some guidance.

“I should look forward to that?” Chu Qianze raised an eyebrow.

“You can.” Shen Hezhi said with a mischievous smile.

“As long as you don’t cry,” Chu Qianze touched the corner of Shen Hezhi’s eye, lightly wiping it with his fingertip.

Feeling the gentle touch of Chu Qianze, Shen Hezhi got up and stood in front of the mirror. Upon seeing his own reflection, he was startled. What happened to his eyes? They were swollen. He grabbed something to apply and reduce the puffiness. Examining the color of his lips, they were a bit redder than usual but still alright.

Satisfied with the improvement, Shen Hezhi shifted his gaze to Chu Qianze and his eyes abruptly stopped. “Your neck, did I do that?”

Chu Qianze was in the process of searching for something like a band-aid when he heard Shen Hezhi’s question. He touched his neck and said, “What do you think?”

Somehow, he had a habit of nibbling on his neck, no matter where they were.

“I’ll cover it up for you.” Shen Hezhi walked over, opened his small pouch, and started the camouflage process.

Once they were ready, the two went to the cafeteria together for breakfast. They didn’t eat much, just got two red date sponge cakes and two cups of soy milk, which they shared.

The sponge cakes tasted good, but the portions were a bit small.

When they arrived on set, there was still some soy milk left to drink.

Arriving on set, Chu Qianze noticed He Luo directing the crew to arrange and set up.

When He Luo saw Chu Qianze and Shen Hezhi arriving, his speech momentarily faltered. His gaze swept over the matching cups they were holding, carefully observing their state, then he put on a smiling face and walked over. “Good morning, Xiao Chu.”

“Good morning, Director He.” Seeing He Luo’s reaction, Chu Qianze couldn’t help but think of those conversations he had seen on the screen.

“Did you have breakfast together?”

“Yes.” Chu Qianze replied, finishing the last sip of soy milk. Spotting a nearby trash bin, he headed straight for it.

Seeing Chu Qianze walk away, He Luo approached Shen Hezhi and whispered, “Did you guys meet last night?”

“Slept together,” Shen Hezhi replied straightforwardly, without any concealment.

He Luo couldn’t help but let out a surprised sound, scrutinizing them from head to toe before sighing. “Well, I can’t meddle in the affairs of you young people. Since you’ve decided to take it seriously, then live your lives well. But Xiao Chu has talent; he can continue to develop in this industry.”

As Chu Qianze walked over, he overheard He Luo’s comments about development. “Director He, are you talking about me?”

“We were just discussing you. I mentioned your talent. How about it? Do you want to continue acting? I have a friend planning to make a movie and was asking if I had any recommendations. Interested?” He Luo’s eye wrinkles deepened.

“Thank you, Director He, but I probably won’t continue here.” Chu Qianze accepted a tissue that Shen Hezhi handed over and wiped his hands.

“Why? With my recommendation, a guarantor, and your own abilities, the opportunity is significant.”

Chu Qianze wiped his hands. “Director He, the truth is, I can’t act. I can handle playing the character Chu Qianze, but if it’s anything else… I might ruin the role.”

He Luo blinked rapidly, the frequency increasing. Why did he feel more confused as he listened? “Don’t be so modest. The role of Chu Qianze is definitely one of the top three in difficulty over the past two years. If you can play that character well, you can handle others too. You have high plasticity.”

“I’m not being modest…” How should he explain this?

Chu Qianze found it somewhat amusing.

Meanwhile, Shen Hezhi, sipping his soy milk, couldn’t conceal the amusement on his face. Seeing Chu Qianze glance over, he spoke up, “Director He, time is almost up. Did you get everything you need?”

“Oh, right, there’s one more thing I haven’t done. We almost forgot about it during the conversation,” He Luo clapped his hands and quickly jogged to the side.

“If you’re interested in acting, I can find a script for you,” Shen Hezhi remarked as he watched He Luo hurry away.

“Not interested,” Chu Qianze lazily replied.

“Then, do you have something else you’d like to do?” Listening to He Luo’s words, Shen Hezhi suddenly realized that he didn’t know much about Chu Qianze’s future plans.

“Emmm, in the near future, finish filming this movie, take a break, do nothing for a while, and then…” Chu Qianze thought for a moment, turning his head. “Look forward to your seduction plan.”

“…”

If they weren’t on set, Shen Hezhi really wanted to grab him and tease him a few more times.
