“You didn’t know? Well, no wonder…” Jiang Yaoning smiled as if he had been shown a lot of affection by his friends, and he pretended to be annoyed, “These two were fine just a few days ago. Rong Xu repeated these words as if he were insane, but his eyes still held a hope he didn’t even know he had when he looked at Chi Han.

Chi Han smiled and, in the next moment, his fist struck Jiang Yaoning’s face. Instantly, a few specks of crimson splattered on the squashed orange on the table.

The colors were exceptionally vivid.

When Chi Han hurriedly arrived at the hall, he happened to see Rong Guanyu being escorted in by a group of people. Meanwhile, a silent figure was leaving the crowd.

One side was bustling, the other side was lonely.

Two extremes.

Almost instinctively, Chi Han called out that name, “Rong Xu!”

His voice was drowned out by the crowd’s compliments, but Chi Han knew that Rong Xu must have heard it. However, Rong Xu only paused briefly before rolling his wheelchair to straighten his posture and left indifferently.

Chi Han stood still, his fingertips trembling.

What should he do? Rong Xu was ignoring him again.

The banquet ended with Rong’s family sending Jiang Yaoning to the hospital. It was unclear whether Jiang Yaoning refrained from revealing the assailant due to fear of making a scene or for some other reason. The only person present, Fang Jingluo, actively suppressed the matter.

Everyone assumed that Jiang Yaoning had offended Fang Jingluo in some way, and nobody suspected that Chi Han was the one who had attacked him.

But Chi Han had no interest in paying attention to the incident. His mind was entirely consumed by Rong Xu’s departing figure. Even when his mother, Yin Bei, tried to talk to him on the way back from the garden, he seemed distracted.

“Chi Han, did you hear what I said?” Yin Bei looked at Chi Han in annoyance and scolded him in a hushed voice.

Since they had returned from the garden, Chi Han had been in this absent-minded state. Yin Bei suddenly had a bad feeling when she thought about Rong Xu returning home alone. Could it be that her son had offended Rong Xu?

Although Rong Xu was disabled, he was still a member of the Rong family. Yin Bei had initially thought that Chi Han had finally come to his senses, but now she feared he had brought a big problem back.

Yin Bei’s face was grim, and she struggled to control her anger.

“Chi Han, your father will transfer you to No. 1 High School tomorrow. No matter what, you must make friends with Rong Xu. Do you hear me?!”
