The chapters are short so I will be combining them into one chapter.
Chapter 1
Knocked Up
The young master discovered he was knocked up, and the child was his archenemy’s.
How did he end up tangled with his archenemy?
Who knew that simply checking into a hotel would coincide with an alpha’s rut?
It was just a rut, but why did he and his archenemy have such high compatibility?
The archenemy was an alpha without morals, recklessly releasing pheromones during a rut without even carrying suppressants.
A scumbag alpha, the young master thought, forgetting that it takes two to tango1一个巴掌拍不响 (yī ge bā zhǎng pāi bù xiǎng) – lit. one palm alone cannot clap (proverb) / fig. it takes two persons to start a dispute / it takes two to tango / it’s difficult to achieve anything without support. If he hadn’t been curious and approached, inadvertently releasing his omega pheromones that then intertwined with the alpha’s, they wouldn’t have lost their senses.
The young master frowned at the pregnancy test laid out before him. Truthfully, he wanted to keep the child, as it was his after all.
Should he discuss it with the child’s other biological father? The young master thought of his rival, whom he had been at odds with just a few days ago over a project, and immediately dismissed the terrifying idea from his mind.
The young master decided to secretly keep the child.
Running away might be shameful, but it was effective.
The Omega wasn’t one to dawdle. After considering solutions, the young master swiftly fled his father’s company before any symptoms appeared.
Of course, he couldn’t tell his father about the pregnancy; the young master didn’t want to end up with broken legs.
The rest would fall into place; he could hide for now. The young master made up an excuse about being bored at work and wanting to travel.
While packing, the young master noticed an item:
—A silver-gray tie.
Undoubtedly belonging to his archenemy.
That night, the tie had tormented him. First, he blindfolded him until his eyes were red from crying, then the alpha bound his wrists with it, showing no mercy.
The young master angrily crumpled the tie and threw it in the trash.
Fortunately, those days coincided with the Alpha’s special period. When the young master awoke, the Alpha, depleted from his rut, was still resting.
Seeing the arm draped over him, the young master was startled.
Hazy memories resurfaced, but the young master hesitated but ultimately resisted kicking the alpha out of bed.
He didn’t want the Alpha to wake up.
He had to run away.
Or should he stay and stare awkwardly?
The young master’s mind was a tangled mess, instinctively wanting only to leave.
He quietly opened the window, spraying scent neutralizer everywhere until his pheromones dissipated. Then, he packed and slipped away “inconveniently” and “swearing”.
Originally, the young master did not care. They did not officially mark each other that night, so the odds should have been low.
But unexpectedly, their compatibility was so high that within six or seven weeks, the young master experienced successive symptoms.
He had an ominous feeling.
He checked, and sure enough, he was pregnant.
The young master flew to a scenic place with temperate seasons, relaxing and comfortable. However, he didn’t know that the Alpha on the other end was still searching for someone.
The Alpha never found out who he was with that night, the memories were too hazy. And when the Omega left, he cleaned up so thoroughly that after one or two months of searching, the Alpha had no leads.
Their compatibility must have been extremely high, the Alpha only remembered that as soon as that person appeared, the little remaining sanity he had left burned to ashes.
But was it solely due to compatibility? The Alpha felt there were other reasons but couldn’t remember.
This archenemy never expected to encounter an acquaintance on this business trip.
—The young master he hadn’t seen in nearly sixty days.
The young master was strolling in the park downstairs. The doctor advised against strenuous exercise but said moderate physical activity was necessary, and regular exercise was beneficial for the child.
With supplemental nutrition, the pregnant young master’s face had filled out, his complexion much better than before.
The young master walked leisurely, recently sleeping early and in good spirits overall.
His phone rang, and the young master looked puzzled at the number displayed.
Why would his archenemy call him?
Before the young master could answer, the archenemy’s voice sounded nearby: “It really is you! I thought I was seeing things, so I called to confirm…”
The archenemy waved his phone, indicating his intention, and reached out.
“What are you doing here?” The young master frowned, dodging the Alpha’s overly familiar gesture, impassively resting a hand on his belly.
“I’m, I’m on a business trip.” From the moment he saw the young master, the Alpha felt an abnormal surge of emotion. Though it had only been a month or two, it felt like forever. Overjoyed, he greeted the young master without thinking.
But the Omega’s evasion jolted him back to reality.
“But you,” the Alpha studied the young master, hesitating, “why did you become chubby?”
Chapter 2
You Have a Baby
The young master didn’t want to talk to this person.
The Omega turned to leave, but was stopped by the Alpha, “Hey, how did you end up here?”
The Alpha gestured, indicating that this was H City, while the young master’s home and career were in A City.
“I’m bored,” the young master replied irritably.
In fact, he felt a little guilty. The young master quickened his pace and turned to walk home.
After resting at home for a while, the young master thought the matter had passed. However, unexpectedly, a new neighbor moved in next door the following day.
There was no need to guess who it was after hearing that familiar voice.
“Xiao Cen2小 – “Xiao” is a common prefix used in Chinese nicknames, and it is often translated to “little” or “young.” It is used to show affection or familiarity, and is most commonly used with a person’s given name. ,” the young master’s door was suddenly knocked on by the landlady renting him the house, “Granny will introduce you to your new neighbor.”
The young master had come out to “avoid something” and planned to stay for a while, or perhaps move to another city to “play.” Naturally, he didn’t buy a house.
“This is Xiao Zhou, who just started working here. He’s quite handsome!” The landlady greeted the young master warmly and took his hand affectionately, “I’ve inquired about him. He’s a good young man.”
She genuinely cared for the young master, who was carrying a child without a word, renting a house, getting checkups, and doing everything alone. She didn’t know if he had been wronged. The landlady had asked about the young master’s Alpha, but he said he didn’t have one.
How pitiful, the landlady thought. When she learned the Alpha also needed to rent, she checked his situation and then introduced him as the young master’s neighbor.
At least they could look out for each other.
“You youngsters can chat slowly. You’re neighbors, so don’t be strangers. As the saying goes, close neighbors are better than distant relatives.”
“Xiao Cen, you can ask Xiao Zhou for help in the future. And Xiao Zhou, Xiao Cen has lived here for a while, so you can ask him about anything. I have some other matters to attend to, so I’ll be going.”
The landlady came and left quickly, leaving the young master and Alpha staring at each other.
Chatting was impossible. The young master slammed the door shut.
The Alpha was used to being brushed off.
He didn’t know why the young master always seemed to despise him.
Was it because he was always the top student in school? Well, the young master was second.
Was it because he stole the young master’s spotlight on the college confession wall?
Was it because they clashed on work projects?
It was just fair competition, what was the big deal? The Alpha thought.
Lost in thought, he realized he didn’t have house slippers. The Alpha paused, then knocked on the “neighbor’s” door.
Unsurprisingly, an impatient head poked out.
“I don’t have slippers,” the Alpha stated.
“Get lost,” the young master slammed the door again.
A moment later, a bag of disposable slippers was thrown through the door crack.
“Knock, knock, knock,” the door was knocked on again. The young master clenched his fist, hearing the familiar voice return, “I don’t have a trash bag.”
The young master opened the door, “Are you done yet?”
The Alpha held fruit peels, facing the young master.
“Last time!” The young master angrily went inside, pulled out a roll of trash bags, and threw it into the Alpha’s arms.
“Knock, knock, knock,” there was knocking again.
Alpha: “I don’t have—”
“Don’t push me to hit you!” The young master’s face darkened.
“But I haven’t eaten yet.” There was no rice, noodles, or oil at home. The Alpha clutched his stomach – the stomach issues were from years ago, which the young master knew about, as he had “softened” and sent him to the hospital back then.
Young master: So annoying.
“Come in.” The young master finally stepped aside. That afternoon, he ate light, and ten minutes before the Alpha moved in, the cooking auntie had finished and left.
It was still warm. The young master didn’t have much appetite today and hadn’t eaten much, leaving more than half the porridge.
The young master reasonably suspected he had lost his appetite because of the Alpha’s “chubby” comment.
“When are you going back?” The young master asked once he was seated.
“Well, I’m overseeing the cooperation here,” the Alpha replied. Actually, he was supposed to go back a few days ago, but he had an inexplicable feeling that he couldn’t leave, as if leaving would make him lose something very important.
The young master didn’t say more.
Two months passed in the blink of an eye. The young master’s belly gradually changed, and he went out less. Even when going out, he avoided people.
Mainly the Alpha.
The young master had thought about running away again, but he just didn’t have the energy. After conceiving, he hadn’t come into contact with the Alpha’s pheromones. Pregnancy symptoms flooded over him like waves – the young master was either unwell or on his way to being unwell daily.
Seeing his belly grow bigger, he had to go out, so the young master had to find another way.
This was the scene the Alpha saw when returning from work. The young master carried a bag in one hand, the other supporting his waist. It had been a long time since the Alpha last saw him – first due to his own busy project, then the young master became elusive. But finally seeing him again, the Alpha froze.
The young master…??
This is…???
“You have a baby?” The Alpha’s voice was filled with disbelief.
“Mm.” The young master tried to keep his tone steady.
“How long?”
“Almost three months, I guess. So?” The young master purposely stated a month later than reality.
Thinking of something, the Alpha’s expression changed again and again.
“So you came to H City to elope? Eloped for a month and got tied down already?”
“Not really tied down. That scum Alpha disappeared long ago,” the young master said nonchalantly, “Just playing around.”

Archenemy: Wasn’t he always the top student? Didn’t he steal the limelight on the college confession wall? Didn’t they clash head-on at work projects?
