Yunye Building Cafe.
Lu Yunye looked at omega who just sat down in front of him: “Have you read the agreement I sent? If you have any requirements, you can add them.”
“The Shi family doesn’t have the right to make demands of the Lu family yet.” Shi Yi smiled slightly, with an expression that was neither humble nor overbearing. “I just hope that you can abide by the contract and let me retain management rights over Feiyi.”
“That’s natural,” Lu Yunye nodded. “If you’re worried, we can have the pre-marital property notarized.”
“Thank you for doing this, Mr. Lu.” Shi Yi said. “It’s just that on my father’s side…”
“I’ll deal with Shi Jinpeng,” Lu Yunye said indifferently. “The Lu family will respond to his request as appropriate.”
“Yeah.” Shi Yi took a sip of his coffee, and finally felt his heart settle down. Even if it’s a business marriage, cooperating with Lu Yunye makes him feel more at ease.
The materials needed for notarization are very complicated. Shi Yi completed it first, and sat at the entrance of the lobby to wait for Lu Yunye.
The voice of the service desk lady made him drowsy.
“Sir, sign here.”
“Sir, please confirm the documents.”
The same conversation was repeated for almost half an hour. The briefcase that Lu Yunye brought was stuffed to the brim, with various house deeds, car certificates, and shareholding documents inside.
It’s no wonder that Lu Yunye is so cautious when getting married. If he really meets someone who plots against him, the divorce lawsuit will need at least a year to sort out.
The little shares in his hand are really not enough for Lu Yunye. Shi Yi leaned on the back of the metal chair in a daze. The sun shone in through the French windows, creating an ambiguous halo in the room, but it was not enough to warrant turning on the lights.
He squinted his eyes, and saw Lu Yunye sitting in front of the table with his back straight, shoulders in a slight arc when he lowered his head slightly. The lady at the desk seemed to say something, and he turned his head to look at it. The sunlight drew a sharp silhouette on his cheeks, hiding his expression in the shadows.
For a moment, Shi Yi felt objectively that it seemed reasonable for Lu Yunye to become the dream alpha of thousands of omega.
“Asleep?” A deep and magnetic voice sounded in front of him.
“Huh?” Shi Yi rubbed his eyes, and found that the lights in the room were brightly lit, while the outside of the window was already covered in black shadows.
It turned out to be dark.
“It’s all over?” Shi Yi asked.
“Yes.” Lu Yunye casually carried the briefcase worth hundreds of millions. “Let’s go.”
Gao Ren had been waiting outside for a long time. When he saw them coming out, he opened the car door politely, “Mr. Lu, Young Master Shi.”
“Don’t bother me, I’ll take a taxi back.” Shi Yi subconsciously waved his hand.
Lu Yunye paused for a rare moment, then asked, “Aren’t you going to Lu’s house?”
Why go to Lu’s house?
Shi Yi was taken aback, “We have just completed the notarization process, and haven’t received the marriage certificate yet, so…”
“Then let’s go and get the marriage certificate together.” Lu Yunye said as a matter of course.
“But the Civil Affairs Bureau is closed now.” Shi Yi raised his head, gesturing at the darkening skies.
“Young Master Shi, don’t worry, today is a special day. There are a lot of people wanting to get married,” Gao Ren said with a smile. “The Civil Affairs Bureau made an exception and will stay open until 8pm today.”
Shi Yi glanced at his phone, May 21st.1May 21 = 5/21 = 521, which sounds like “I love you” in Chinese pop culture
Fine.
Sitting in Lu Yunye’s car again, Shi Yi still felt a little unreal.
Although Mr. Lu is extremely efficient in handling things, it is not enough to justify notarizing documents for marriage. Despite being a CEO for several years, it’s still difficult to keep up with Lu Yunye’s train of thought.
Sure enough, the Civil Affairs Bureau was brightly lit. Despite multiple doors open at the same time, the queue was quite long.
Lu Yunye took out two masks from the storage compartment, handed one to Shi Yi, and walked over calmly to the end of the line.
He was too tall, and stood out from the crowd of alphas.
Shi Yi had no choice but to bite the bullet and follow. Fortunately, the mask blocked his unnatural expression, otherwise the staff would definitely think that he was being kidnapped.
Most of the young couples who came to get the certificate were newlyweds. Empowered by their sweet feelings, they wanted to stick together all the time. Omegas curled up in the arms of their partners, snuggling close to their husbands, and asked their spouses to feed them when they were hungry, everywhere.
The two stood side by side, with a distance of 30 centimeters between them. Even the temperature around them seemed to be a few degrees lower, which was out of tune with the surrounding environment.
The security guard at the door looked over again and again, maybe the two divorced and lined up in the wrong line.
But Lu Yunye didn’t notice at all, he just stood in the line. The young couple in front were also very sticky. The omega kept asking alpha to carry him on his back, and the pair were quite rowdy. Shi Yi wanted to remind Lu Yunye to stay back a few times, but swallowed back when he saw that cold expression.
As a result, the alpha suddenly lost his footing, and with the weight of the omega, his heel landed directly on Shi Yi’s instep.
“Hiss!” The alpha was too heavy, causing Shi Yi to gasp painfully at the impact. His delicate eyebrows were instantly twisted.
“I’m sorry, I’m sorry,” The omega was startled, and apologized again and again. “He didn’t mean it.”
Most of the people who came to receive the certificate were in a happy mood, and Shi Yi didn’t want to spoil the sweet atmosphere, so he just waved his hands and said, “It’s okay.”
The alpha looked back, “Did I bump into you? Brother, it’s not good to touch porcelain blindly.”
Shi Yi was in so much pain that he couldn’t speak, and he wasn’t in the mood to argue with him. But a hand stretched out, and grabbed the alpha’s shoulder. Lu Yunye’s voice was chilly, “Apologize.”
As a former soldier, Lu Yunye’s hand strength is not comparable to that of ordinary people. The alpha’s face froze, and he instinctively struggled backwards, but did not break free.
Immediately, alpha pheromones overflowed like a stress reaction.
It is very impolite to release pheromones in public, especially when there are other omegas around.
Lu Yunye did not use pheromones to retaliate, but stood in place without flinching, and repeated, “Apologize.”
S-level alphas are inherently oppressive to others of the same kind. The omega’s legs began to tremble. He grabbed his partner and urged him in a low voice, “Apologize!”
Perhaps because he lost face in front of his partner, the alpha’s face darkened. But he was afraid of Lu Yunye, so he could only put away his pheromones, and said foolishly, “I’m sorry, let’s go.”
“I’m sorry, I’m sorry,” The omega kept bowing to the two, and pulled his alpha back. “He really didn’t do it on purpose. Why don’t we accompany you to the hospital for a checkup after receiving the certificate?”
Seeing that Lu Yunye’s expression had not loosened, he could only approach Shi Yi and whisper, “Can you persuade your alpha a little bit? He- he’s too scary.”
Shi Yi was taken aback for a moment. He’s never seen Lu Yunye get into conflict with anyone. This isn’t even a real conflict, yet such a simple confrontation already shows how overwhelming he is.
They aren’t real partners, and he lacks the authority to interfere with Lu Yunye’s actions.
Seeing the small-scale disturbance breaking out, several security guards walked over with batons. Shi Yi stiffly tugged at the hem of Lu Yunye’s clothes, and whispered, “Why don’t you forget it first. Everyone is here to get their certificate…”
The pheromone of the other alpha also had a certain influence on him. Just when Shi Yi was dizzy and desperately thinking about how to explain to the security guard, Lu Yunye’s strength suddenly loosened.
Shi Yi looked up in surprise, and saw Lu Yunye staring at him with downcast eyes. The mask covered most of his face, and he couldn’t see any joy or anger in his eyes.
After a long while, Lu Yunye raised his hand to support him, holding most of his body weight. His voice was slightly gritty, “Listen to you.”
For someone that has no EQ (humanoid robot), LYY is surprisingly good at following the rule to be affectionate.
