The torrential rain continued pounding the window with crackling noises. When Lu Yunye woke up to the noise, his first reaction was that he shouldn’t be seeing the sun yet.
The light in the bathroom was not turned off, and a small sliver of warm yellow light snuck through. Lu Yunye sat up halfway on the bed, pinching the center of his brows. The annoying headache was still there.
The quilt on his body was very heavy, and it seemed the spare blanket was also moved over. Alphas in the susceptible period will instinctively exhibit nesting behaviors. Clothes, quilts, and pillows surrounded him, leaving only a small space to rest.

The body behind him froze, but didn’t apply more force. Shi Yi raised the arm and turned over with difficulty; he wasn’t sure if Lu Yunye was awake.

Although the bodyguards are all alphas above B-level, they still need to use special masks and pheromone isolation stickers to minimize the impact of higher-level pheromones.
Song Wei stood in front of the door and knocked tentatively.

“Give me thirty minutes, I’ll bring him out.” Shi Yi said.
Lu Yunqing nodded hesitantly, watching the door close in front of her eyes.
Shi Yi pressed against the door panel and let out a long breath of relief. Lu Yunye who was still on the bed was already in a very tense state. Even the pheromones in the air were full of anxiety, fluctuating with his emotions.

“I’ll be with you, don’t worry.” Shi Yi said.
Lu Yunye finally nodded, as if he had done something remarkable. He put his head on Shi Yi’s shoulder and let him touch his head.
“You’re very good,” Shi Yi could only pat him, and at the same time warned, “Later… follow me, don’t lose your temper easily, do you hear me?”
The door opened, and there was no one in the hotel corridor. Shi Yi knew that Lu Yunqing had the bodyguards clear out a safe passage. Lu Yunye seemed a little uneasy, but he hid his emotions well, and just gently squeezed Shi Yi’s hand.
Even if a passerby sees them, they will probably just think that President Lu is in a bad mood.
