Shi Yi felt himself lowered and placed on a large, soft bed. The quilt was warm, as if it had just been soaked in the sun, soft and comfortable.

“Everything in the bathroom is new, and there are pajamas in the closet. You can wear whatever you want.” Lu Yunye put him down and said directly.

“Yes, okay.” Seeing that his little thoughts were exposed, Shi Yi simply stopped pretending to be asleep. “Thank you, President Lu.”

“A doctor will come to examine you later.” Lu Yunye nodded slightly. His demeanor was polite as if he was holding a shareholders’ meeting. “Take some time to prepare yourself.”

Before leaving, he added, “Don’t call me President Lu here.”

Shi Yi: ?

“You can call me Mr. Lu like them.”

“Okay, Mr. Lu.” Shi Yi followed suit. “How many days do I need to stay here?”

“Let’s see what the doctor says after the examination,” Lu Yunye said lightly.

Shi Yi nodded. After seeing Lu Yunye leave, he finally collapsed on the bed as if drained. Communicating with a humanoid AI is exhausting.

Plugging in his phone to charge, he called his assistant Qiu Qiu, and asked him to rearrange his schedule for the next few days.

Originally, there was a large-scale fashion show he was supposed to attend during this time. But he could only postpone meeting the brand as his current physical condition was unsuitable.

Returns of the previous batch of orders with production defects have yet to be processed, and the design drafts for the autumn and winter season have to be reviewed…

Shi Yi thought about the work at hand. If he takes a week off, he will have to work overtime for at least half a month to catch up.

He suddenly thought of Lu Yunye. Although he isn’t familiar with the entertainment industry, someone in Lu Yunye’s position definitely has a lot of work to do. It’s impossible to stay at home with him every day.

He immediately denied this conjecture. Boss Lu just wants to keep up his perfect image and doesn’t want to leave any handles for others. Since it’s just for the sake of face, there’s really no need to accompany him in person.

Shi Yi relaxed as soon as he realized this fact. Being stared at by a humanoid AI with a stern face every day is unbearable for the normal person.

Three light knocks rang on the door. A moment later, the housekeeper, Uncle Wang, pushed the door open and walked in.

Lu Yunye lives alone, and there are not many servants at home. Apart from a housekeeper and driver, there is an aunt who does the cooking. All three of them are betas with excellent qualities.

“Mr. Shi, Mr. Lu said that you hadn’t eaten yet, and had me bring some food up.”

“Oh yes, thank you.” Shi Yi took the plate. There was a thin pink packaged drink beside the meal. He couldn’t help picking it up and looking at it curiously. “What is this…”

“It’s a nutritional supplement, which can help supplement the energy consumed during an omega’s febrile period.” Uncle Wang carefully used the polite term ‘febrile period’, instead of the more casual ‘estrus’.

“Thank you…” Shi Yi hurriedly put the small tube back onto the tray, away from him. “Also, don’t call me Mr. Shi from now on…”

After he finished speaking, he realized how similar his instructions were to the ones Lu Yunye just gave him. “You can call me… uh…”

“Young Master Shi,” Uncle Wang quickly finished the sentence for him. He then pointed at the bell to call the servants on the wall. “You can call me anytime if you need anything.”

Although he expended a lot of energy last night, Shi Yi didn’t have much of an appetite. Fortunately, the meal Uncle Wang brought up was relatively light – fresh shrimp congee served with a few vegetable buns, and a small bowl of glutinous rice balls.

Very much in line with his taste.

After eating a few mouthfuls of congee, Shi Yi unscrewed the nutritional supplement and drank it. The sweet liquid slid down his throat, and the feeling of fullness slowly washed the anxiety of being in estrus.

Before, whenever Shu Wen was in estrus, he could barely eat anything and relied on nutritional meal replacements to survive. Shi Yi pursed his lips – he can try buying some of this for his dad next time.

——–

“Has he eaten?” Sitting in the living room downstairs, Lu Yunye turned over the newspaper, and asked casually.

“He ate half the rice porridge and steamed buns, and finished all the glutinous rice balls.” Uncle Wang replied truthfully. “Young Master Shi is sleeping now.”

“Got it.” It seems that the book is right – omegas really like to eat sweets.

Lu Yunye glanced at his watch, it’s almost time.

Sure enough, within a few minutes, the bell at the gate of the villa rang.

Song Wei arrived in a rush with a medical kit, and yelled as soon as he entered the door, “Lu Yunye, who needs to see a doctor? An omega?!”

Lu Yunye looked over with displeasure. The other party has never learned how to control his surprise. “He fell asleep, please keep your voice down.”

“Okay, okay.” Song Wei raised his hands above his head in a gesture of surrender. Pulling on sterile gloves skillfully, he went to the storage room to find the tools he needed.

There is a separate cabinet in Lu Yunye’s house full of different hygiene and medical supplies, which is very convenient at times like this.

“Tell me the truth, are you finally starting to pay attention to those little stars?” Song Wei leaned over cheaply. “Don’t worry, I get it. After all, Yunye Media has so many cute omegas. If I were an alpha, I definitely won’t be able to control myself.”

“No.” A vein twitched on Lu Yunye’s forehead. “It’s just an accident, it’s just a temporary mark.”

“How can a temporary marking take five hours?” Song Wei obviously knew a little about the situation in advance, and his tone was full of contempt. “Did you give him electrolytes last night?”

“There were only poor-quality takeaway nutritional supplements available.”

“Okay, take me up to see the situation first.” Song Wei was a little uncertain. After all, Lu Yunye differentiated into an S-level alpha, and can easily hurt people if he was not careful.

Facts proved that the omega was indeed affected. His face is pale, hair hanging limply over his forehead. Even his lips were a shade of light grayish pink. The omega’s body was buried under the quilt in the middle of summer, and looked as if any movement would break him.

Song Wei called him twice, but there was no response. He carefully pulled up the other party’s eyelid to check his pupils, and his tone finally turned serious.

“Yunye, this omega is unconscious.”

7 chapters in and it’s still only the first 24h they’ve met. What a doozy.
