TCFGBH Chapter 61

TCFGBH Chapter 61

An alpha, around 183 cm tall, strong and sturdy, with a face that could barely be called handsome, stormed in like a husband catching his wife cheating. “You already have a boyfriend. Can’t you behave?”

“…”

The young man looked at him with an expressionless face. His pale, jade-like skin glistened, and with just a casual glance, his peach blossom eyes seemed to exude endless affection, as if teasing.

The man seemed bewitched, trembling as he tried to touch him.

But the young man swiftly dodged out of the way.

“So stingy.” Though he was the stalker, the pervert, he now seemed aggrieved, wide-eyed and pitiful. “I always bring you gifts after your performances, and I can’t even touch you?”

The young man raised his chin and sneered, “So what?”

Even though the gifts were willingly given, he now wanted to demand “payment” in return. Since when did the world work so favorably?

“If that’s the case, why can that Omega touch you? And today’s Alpha… Is it about money? I have money too!” The man gritted his teeth.

Thud!

A completely dead, unlit phone was thrown into the man’s lap. He held it blankly, confused.

The young man crossed his arms, lazily saying, “Raise the phone.”

“?”

“Wrong. Hold it up so the front faces your face.”

“…”

“Can you see clearly now?”

It took the man over ten seconds to realize—the other implied that he was ugly! This hurt his pride even more than being called poor. He whimpered and suddenly broke down, crying.

“I wish I was handsome too… I-I can get plastic surgery…”

Xia Yan: “??? Are you okay?”

If it weren’t for the fact that every time he made a move to escape, the man would immediately become alert, Xia Yan wouldn’t have been stuck here, playing along with his act.

After exchanging a few words, Xia Yan genuinely felt like the guy wasn’t all there mentally.

He didn’t seem like a meticulous stalker capable of covering his tracks.

While Xia Yan was thinking this, the man’s crying grew louder, more mournful and piercing, interspersed with Xia Yan’s name. The sound was eerie, like a ghost wailing, making his skin crawl.

“…”

Xia Yan’s mouth twitched. As a normal person, he truly couldn’t understand how someone’s mind could twist to the point of obsessing over plastic surgery. Wasn’t he afraid of botching it?

“Hey!”

“…W-wha…t?”

“How tall are you?”

The man sniffled and stammered, “1-183.”

Xia Yan: “My boyfriend is 186.”

“…” The man was stunned for a moment, his alcohol-clouded brain struggling to process this. After a pause, he said, “I can extend my bones.”

Touched on a topic he didn’t understand, Xia Yan’s beautiful face showed a trace of confusion: “What?”

The man: “Break the bones, then reattach them, you can… can get taller.”

Xia Yan gasped. What the hell was that? It sounded painful. He glanced at the man’s legs, then waved dismissively. “I don’t want a boyfriend with a limp.”

“It might not be a limp.”

The subtext being there was still a chance.

Xia Yan: “…” Excuse me, but does this Alpha have a brain?

The two were locked in a standoff, with Xia Yan too afraid to make any rash moves to escape, worried about provoking the other. The man, on the other hand, was content as long as Xia Yan didn’t leave.

Seeing Xia Yan wasn’t even considering him, the man began wailing again, full of sorrow.

This 183 cm tall, muscular gym buff with a broad chest cried like a ghost, creating an eerie, jarring contrast.

Xia Yan’s head throbbed.

After who knows how long—maybe a minute, maybe three—Xia Yan heard the sound of new footsteps. He looked toward the noise and saw a figure emerging from the dark alley. The distance was a bit far, and he couldn’t make out the features clearly with the poor lighting.

But it didn’t matter who it was. As long as this person got him away from the crazed drunk, that would be enough.

Xia Yan had barely made a move, showing signs of leaving, when the crying Alpha seemed to grow an extra eye. He immediately reacted, trying to block him.

But before he could act, a shadow suddenly sprang out from the side and swiftly pinned the drunk to the ground.

The man was still in his daytime short sleeves, dark veins bulging on his arms. His restrained muscles were taut, radiating power.

His side profile was clean and sharp, with a high nose bridge and eyes filled with cold fury.

It was Wu Qin.

Why was he here?

“Damn! I heard someone shouting your name from far away. Good thing I came over,” Wu Qin’s gaze softened into a worried expression when it landed on Xia Yan. “Are you alright?”

Xia Yan shook his head. “I’m fine.”

“That’s good.” Wu Qin sighed in relief, tightening his grip on the drunk and pressing him firmly to the ground. Seeing that the man was still mumbling Xia Yan’s name incoherently, Wu Qin asked in confusion, “What’s up with this guy?”

“No idea. Call the police.”

The drunk, his arm aching from being pinned, continued muttering Xia Yan’s name.

Wu Qin clicked his tongue in annoyance, finally piecing together the situation. In his mind, he couldn’t help but feel dissatisfaction toward his cousin and Shen Wenqing—such useless people, unable to even protect their boyfriend.

“I can’t hold him down with one hand. You call the police.”

This shameless harasser must be sent to jail.

Xia Yan: “My phone’s out of battery.”

“Then use mine.” Wu Qin shifted his body, revealing his right hip. “The phone’s in the pocket of my jeans, the password is 789369.”

The black phone was peeking out slightly from the edge of his pocket.

When Wu Qin said this, he swore he had no ulterior motives.

But as the young man approached, every nerve in his body instinctively tensed. A strand of the young man’s black hair brushed against his cheek, and alongside the familiar scent of Alpha pheromones, there was the youth’s own fragrance.

It was faint and light, like flowers blooming in early spring, carrying an indescribably pleasant smell.

Wu Qin’s face flushed red in an instant.

Fortunately, the light was dim, and he purposely kept his head down, so the young man didn’t notice.

He tried to calm himself, distracting his mind by thinking of other things—like assignments, exams, or even his cousin’s overpowering pheromones.

That scent was so strong, it was like it wanted to wrap the young man up completely.

It wasn’t there in the morning, which meant they must have met up afterwards and spent quite some time together. With such intimate actions, didn’t Shen Wenqing, as his boyfriend, mind?

Wait! He wasn’t even sure if Xia Yan and Wen Changming had actually broken up.

Wu Qin’s head was filled with all these random thoughts until the young man returned his phone, pulling him slightly out of his swirling thoughts.

The police would take about ten minutes to arrive.

Trying to fill the silence, Wu Qin asked, “Why are you out here alone so late?”

“…”

Xia Yan was too embarrassed to admit he was lost, so he quickly changed the subject. His gaze fell on the small alley in front of them, and he muttered in confusion.

Wu Qin: “What’s wrong?”

“Just now… there was someone there, but they’re gone now.”

“What kind of person?”

“I don’t know, I couldn’t see clearly.” Xia Yan tried to recall. He could only remember that the figure was tall, likely an Alpha.

He had clearly seen the figure with his own eyes; there was no way he had mistaken it.

He had been about to ask for help when Wu Qin suddenly showed up and dealt with the drunk. By the time he realized what had happened, the person in the alley had disappeared.

Wu Qin: “Probably just someone passing by.”

“Maybe…”

Xia Yan was confused. He could’ve sworn the figure had taken several steps toward him. Was it just a trick of the dim lighting?
