Qiao Shu: “Hmm.”
He happily walked up to Gu Chenyan, his gaze falling on the suit Gu Chenyan was wearing, and grinned, “Mr. Gu, you look handsome.”
Gu Chenyan: “Mr. Qiao picked it out well.”
Qiao Shu became even happier. He hugged Gu Chenyan’s neck, leaned down, and pecked him on the lips.
Qiao Shu: “A reward.”
Gu Chenyan: “Hmm?”
Qiao Shu: “Today’s reward for Mr. Gu being so handsome.” Of course, he was also adorable.
Gu Chenyan set down the pen in his hand. He stretched out his long arm and pulled Qiao Shu into his embrace. With a swift motion, Qiao Shu was seated on his lap.

When they parted, Qiao Shu felt completely limp, melting into Gu Chenyan’s embrace. His cheeks were flushed, and he gently breathed through his moist lips.
Gu Chenyan patted his back to calm him down.
After a while.
Gu Chenyan: “Feeling better now?”
Qiao Shu nodded lightly. He pouted and muttered softly, “Recently, there hasn’t been enough kissing to exercise my lungs.”
Upon hearing this, Gu Chenyan’s chest vibrated with suppressed laughter, making Qiao Shu blush.
Qiao Shu: “Don’t laugh!”
Gu Chenyan: “Okay.”
Qiao Shu glared at him. “And it’s all because of you!”
Gu Chenyan looked innocent.

The assistant quickly placed the cakes on the small table nearby and exited. Qiao Shu swallowed his saliva and sat down beside the small table. The cakes smelled delicious, with a variety of types. But each one only had a small slice. Even the pastries like cream puffs were served in batches.
“Just these small cakes?” He blinked, looking disappointedly at Gu Chenyan. “They won’t even fill me up.”
Gu Chenyan stood up.
He walked over to Qiao Shu and indulgently pinched his nose. “Greedy little ghost.”
Gu Chenyan: “Dessert isn’t a meal. We’ll eat more main dishes later.”
Qiao Shu pouted. “I don’t want to eat rice.”
Gu Chenyan: “What do you want to eat then?”

He ruffled Qiao Shu’s hair. He stood up and went back to his desk to make phone calls to the lifestyle assistant, then resumed reviewing documents.
Desserts were limited, and these cakes, cut into ten small slices each, were simply not enough for Qiao Shu.
Soon, he finished all ten slices.
With big, blinking eyes, he looked longingly at the clean tray in front of him, seeing only tiny crumbs of cake scattered on it.
He swallowed his saliva and used his fingers to pick up the crumbs, licking them off his fingers hungrily.
Then he repeated the action.
Gu Chenyan finished reviewing the documents and instinctively looked up at Qiao Shu, only to see him focused on the tray, scraping it with his fingers and then carefully licking them clean, bit by bit.
Gu Chenyan: “…”
He stood up, walked around the desk, and approached Qiao Shu. He leaned over to look into the tray, finding it spotlessly clean with no traces of the dessert crumbs.
Qiao Shu: “Oh.”
Qiao Shu sighed sadly as he licked his fingers, his expression filled with sorrow.
Qiao Shu: “It’s gone.”
He sadly murmured to himself, then licked his fingers again, trying to taste the flavor of the cake on his fingers.
Gu Chenyan couldn’t help but let out a low laugh.
Qiao Shu, feeling bewildered, turned his head and saw Gu Chenyan standing beside him, looking down at him with a smile in his eyes.
Qiao Shu: “…”
He blinked blankly.
Gu Chenyan: “Are you that greedy?”
Qiao Shu lowered his eyes and saw his index finger still in his mouth.
Gu Chenyan bent down, smiling. He took hold of Qiao Shu’s hand, pulling his finger out and then grabbing tissues to carefully wipe off the saliva from Qiao Shu’s finger.
Qiao Shu finally came to his senses.
His face blushed, but soon, he regained his composure. “I’m still not full.”
He looked at Gu Chenyan pitifully, pouting. “It’s all because of you not letting me eat more.”
Qiao Shu: “Mr. Qiao is so hungry.”
Qiao Shu touched his stomach again. “Zai Zai is hungry too.”
“It’s my fault.” Gu Chenyan sat down beside Qiao Shu and then lifted him onto his lap. “Roast duck will be here soon. Want some yogurt?”
Qiao Shu: “Yes.”
Gu Chenyan lifted Qiao Shu directly as if carrying a child. With Qiao Shu’s small bottom in his hands, he approached the fridge. Opening it, he took out a carton of yogurt and handed it to Qiao Shu, then found a straw for him.
Qiao Shu: “Ah.”
He naturally opened his mouth.
Gu Chenyan inserted the straw into the yogurt and then smoothly placed the straw into Qiao Shu’s mouth.
Qiao Shu giggled.
He leaned over and kissed Gu Chenyan on the cheek. “Husband is the best.” Then he bit down on the straw.
Gu Chenyan: “Take it slow.”
Qiao Shu kept drinking but nodded in response. “Mmmhmm.”
Gu Chenyan could only sigh helplessly.
By the time the roast duck and hamburgers arrived, Qiao Shu had finished the yogurt and was nestled in Gu Chenyan’s arms, watching him review the documents.
The words on those documents were densely packed in black ink. After reading just a few lines, not only did Qiao Shu feel dizzy, but he also felt like dozing off. Yet, as he watched Gu Chenyan earnestly review the files while holding him, he felt extremely proud.

Qiao Shu instinctively said, “Come in.”
The lifestyle assistant holding a bag, pushed open the door and then froze in place.
Assistant: “!!!”

Mr. Gu actually carried his wife even in the office now? Is this still the old Mr. Gu?

Qiao Shu sniffed, catching the delicious aroma of roast duck. He immediately jumped down from Gu Chenyan’s lap and ran towards the assistant.
Gu Chenyan: “Take it slow.”
Only then did Qiao Shu slow down his steps. He happily approached the assistant. “Roast duck!”
The assistant snapped out of it and quickly handed the roast duck to Qiao Shu. Qiao Shu happily took the roast duck. “Thank you.”
Then he turned and walked away, eagerly heading to his small table to eat.
The aroma of the roast duck instantly filled the air as soon as Qiao Shu opened the bag.
The assistant silently exited and closed the door.
In the office, Qiao Shu happily ate hamburgers and roast duck. While outside the office, the assistant sprinkled plenty of warm dog food among colleagues.
“Ah ah ah!”
“No way! Mr. Gu even reads documents while holding his wife?”
The assistant nodded. “I saw it with my own eyes!”

Qiao Shu giggled.
Qiao Shu: “If the Little Mr. Qiao is Mr. Gu’s little prince, then who are you, Mr. Gu?”
Gu Chenyan thought for a moment. “A knight.”
Qiao Shu widened his eyes in surprise. “So Mr. Gu also knows that knights match with princes?”
Gu Chenyan chuckled softly.
Qiao Shu happily held Gu Chenyan’s hand. Looking at Gu Chenyan’s clothes, his eyes twinkled as he remarked, “Black and white match. We are truly compatible.”
Gu Chenyan smiled and pinched Qiao Shu’s nose.
Qiao Shu grinned foolishly.
The forgotten stylists: “…”
Mr. Yan’s birthday celebration was grand. Almost all the bigwigs in Haicheng attended.

Many eyes were on Gu Chenyan, but he remained oblivious to them all. Calmly, he took a hot towel prepared by the waiter and carefully wiped his hands clean. Then, he whispered in Qiao Shu’s ear, “You can only eat ten.”

Being protective was not an option.
Yan Nini felt flustered under his gaze.
But she quickly relaxed a bit because Gu Chenyan shifted his gaze away.
However, she realized she relaxed too soon because Gu Chenyan was now looking at her father.
Mr. Yan broke into a cold sweat, hastily explaining, “It’s a misunderstanding, a misunderstanding.”
“Nini, apologize to Mr. Qiao.”
Yan Nini didn’t want to apologize. But under Mr. Yan’s warning gaze, she reluctantly said, “I’m sorry, Mr. Qiao.”
Qiao Shu smiled, “It’s okay, Auntie.”
Yan Nini was almost infuriated.
Behind Qiao Shu, Fu Ding and Fang Zhouyou burst into laughter again.
Yan Nini was feeling ashamed. She turned and left in a huff.
The incident quickly passed. Without Yan Nini’s impure intentions of sneakily watching Gu Chenyan, Qiao Shu enjoyed his meal under Gu Chenyan’s care.

After sitting for a while, Qiao Shu suddenly said.
Gu Chenyan got up, “What do you want to drink? I’ll go get it for you.”
Qiao Shu thought for a moment, “Orange juice.”
“Okay,” Gu Chenyan replied.
He quickly left.
Fu Ding and Fang Zhouyou approached Qiao Shu to chat. They talked for a while before suddenly hearing a familiar voice.
The three of them exchanged glances.
Then they approached tacitly.
They saw Gu Chenyan holding a cup of orange juice being intercepted by Yan Nini.
Qiao Shu: “…”
Qiao Shu didn’t immediately step forward.
Fu Ding jokingly said, “Wow, Old Gu’s luck with the ladies is really strong.”
Fang Zhouyou: “Sister-in-law, what if Old Gu cheats on you?”
Qiao Shu withdrew his gaze: “My husband would never cheat.”
Fang Yuyou: “Sister-in-law, I’m talking hypothetically.”
Qiao Shu: “Hypothetically?”
Qiao Shu’s mind was diverted. He thought seriously for a moment and said, “Then I’ll run away with the ball?”
