CFRFGC Chapter 14

Soaked

⌈”I’ve prepared a big one for you.”⌋

Chen Sheng’s mouth had formed an “O” shape.

The people present were all rich young masters; they had never seen such a scene before.

One by one, they were petrified, their eyes nearly popping out.

“Um, um, um, um!” The lackey struggled wildly.

Lu Ran had lived again and done quite a lot; although he was thin, he was quite strong. These second-generation heirs were simply no match for him.

He spun the toilet brush in his hand and asked, “Have I cleaned your mouth yet? Since you don’t want to eat, how about trying a different kind of food from now on?”

The lackey was almost in tears, lying on the ground and struggling frantically.

The crowd around them stepped back, with not a single person daring to help.

They were so shocked that even those who usually filmed short videos were absent.

As the lackey finally stopped struggling, Lu Ran pressed him down and asked, “Do you dare to break my plate again?”

The lackey made an effort to shake his head.

“Waste food? Break my bag?”

With each question, Lu Ran poked the toilet brush inward.

Until the lackey didn’t even have the strength to shake his head anymore, lying on the ground and whining.

Only then did Lu Ran pull out the toilet brush.

Chen Sheng and Shen Xingzhuo squatted on the sofa, trembling with fear.

Chen Sheng swallowed hard and said, “Zhuo, Brother Zhuo, is Brother Lu really that fierce?”

Shen Xingzhuo didn’t want to speak.

Lu Ran flicked the toilet brush and looked toward another troublemaker.

Lin Yi was still stepping on Lu Ran’s research report.

As soon as their eyes met, he hurriedly withdrew his foot.

After pulling back his foot, he felt that it was somewhat embarrassing and, eyeing the toilet brush in Lu Ran’s hand, raised his chin defiantly and said, “What do you want to do?”

The other onlookers finally reacted and began to gather around.

Lin Yi was different from the previous lackey.

After all, he had already formed an alliance with the Zhang family.

“Forget it, forget it.”

“It was all a misunderstanding; just let it go.”

Lu Ran scoffed.

He pointed the brush at the person who had just spoken, saying, “Now you want to say forget it? Why didn’t you say anything when he was making things difficult for me just now?”

The brush still had the lackey’s saliva stuck to it.

The person being pointed at quickly took a step back.

Someone went to pull Shen Xingzhuo: “Brother Zhuo, you say something too.”

Shen Xingzhuo ignored him: “Why pull me? If you’re so bold, go pull him!”

That person: “……”

Alright, he wasn’t bold.

Lin Yi looked at the thing in Lu Ran’s hand, terrified, but still tried hard to maintain a facade of calm.

Just as everyone was about to persuade him again, they saw Lu Ran release his grip.

With a “bang”, the dirty toilet brush fell to the ground.

Everyone sighed in relief, feeling that Lu Ran wasn’t as clueless as they thought.

“Alright, alright, we’re all brothers here.”

“It’s just a little quarrel.”

Chen Sheng also wanted to go over and say a few words.

But before he went down, he glanced at Shen Xingzhuo.

Shen Xingzhuo remained still on the sofa.

After hesitating for a moment, Chen Sheng decided not to go down.

Seeing that Lu Ran no longer had his “weapon”, Lin Yi relaxed quite a bit.

He sneered, “Do you really think I’m the same as that guy on the ground, letting you do whatever you want?”

Just at the moment when everyone lowered their guard, thinking the matter was over…

Lu Ran suddenly reached out and grabbed Lin Yi by the collar, yanking him off balance.

No one had time to react; Lu Ran directly dragged Lin Yi out of the booth.

“You and that guy on the ground obviously don’t get the same treatment. I’ve prepared something bigger for you.”

“Let go of me!” Lin Yi struggled desperately.

Who would have thought that although Lu Ran looked thin and weak, his grip was incredibly strong, making it hard for Lin Yi to break free.

Outside the booth, people were coming and going.

When they saw Lin Yi being dragged out, they were all startled.

Lu Ran ignored everyone.

Next to the booth was the restroom.

Lu Ran kicked the restroom door open and dragged Lin Yi inside.

A cleaner was busy tidying up.

It should have been cleaned just moments ago, but Lu Ran had snatched her brush midway.

“What, what, what are you doing?!” Lin Yi screamed.

Lu Ran said nothing as he made his way to the dirtiest squat toilet he could find.

Grabbing Lin Yi by the hair, he directly pressed his face down into it.

“Ah!”

Lin Yi’s scream echoed through the air.

The cleaner hiding nearby was stunned, her mop dropping to the floor with a “bang”.

The others who had followed Lu Ran into the restroom squeezed in, only to witness this scene.

This was far more explosive than poking someone with a toilet brush.

A crowd of people blocked the restroom door, yet not a single person dared to go inside.

They saw Lu Ran standing in the stall.

Having done something so outrageous, there was not a trace of anger or triumph on his face; his dark eyes were as calm as a still pond.

Water gushed everywhere, soaking Lin Yi’s hair and clothes.

He choked on quite a bit of water through his mouth and nose.

The once arrogant young master of the Lin family was now utterly transformed into a drenched, dirty chicken.

Lu Ran didn’t let go.

He reached out and yanked Lin Yi up by his hair, asking, “Have you learned your lesson?”

“Wuu wuu wuu wuu!” Lin Yi could only sob.

In his life, this was the first time he had been treated like this.

Lu Ran seemed to think Lin Yi’s appearance was quite amusing.

He even took out his phone and snapped a picture of Lin Yi.

Only then did Lin Yi react, shaking his head wildly: “N-no, please don’t…”

“Keep your distance from me in the future, got it?”

Lu Ran’s tone was extremely calm, devoid of any threats.

But combined with his actions, it made Lin Yi automatically imagine various dire consequences.

Lin Yi’s head was buzzing and he nodded repeatedly.

Only then did Lu Ran pull Lin Yi out of the stall.

The crowd at the door finally got a good look at Lin Yi’s pitiful state.

Not only was his upper body completely soaked, but places like his nose and forehead, which had come into close contact with the toilet, were also marked with suspicious stains.

He looked utterly tragic…

Lu Ran tossed Lin Yi aside.

Not only was Lu Ran unflustered, but he even walked over to the sink and leisurely washed his hands.

He pumped out two squirts of hand soap, meticulously washing his hands according to the seven-step method until they were clean, before heading out of the restroom.

When he approached, the crowd blocking the door parted like they had seen a plague god.

Chen Sheng trembled and hid behind the crowd, not daring to show his face.

He was afraid he would be the next one.

Lu Ran returned to the booth, packed his bag, and left without paying attention to anyone else.

After walking a few steps, he realized he had only washed his hands and face, while his clothes were still covered in food residue.

Looking in his bag, he found there were no tissues.

Lu Ran wasn’t foolish enough to go back to the booth and the adjacent restroom at this point.

After all, there were many of Lin Yi’s group. If they reacted in time, Lu Ran wouldn’t be able to handle them alone.

In a real fight, he couldn’t count on Shen Xingzhuo either.

Lu Ran glanced around, looking for a safe exit to the upstairs restroom.

He pushed the door open and walked in, slowly heading up the stairs.

The stairs were particularly long, with an open corridor in the middle.

After all the commotion, Lu Ran felt a bit mentally exhausted.

He walked slowly, pausing now and then.

As he pushed the door open and walked through, he unexpectedly saw a familiar face.

The middle-aged butler he had encountered in the car last time was talking to a security guard. Upon hearing the door open, he turned around and was stunned for two seconds upon seeing Lu Ran.

“Eh?” Lu Ran was somewhat surprised.

He looked at the butler, then at the security guard across from him, and suddenly realized, “Oh, I’m looking for the restroom. It seems I’ve come to the wrong place. My apologies.”

Saying this, he took a few steps back, met the butler’s gaze, and smiled, “Thank you for last time, Uncle.”

Lu Ran’s sleeves were wet and his front was soaked in patches.

Food residue clung to his pants and shoes.

There were two footprints on his backpack and after just washing his face, his bangs and hair tips were still dripping water.

The old butler had no idea about Lu Ran’s recent escapades.

At a glance, he looked like a pitiful kid who had been badly bullied.

The old butler was well aware of the “games” played among rich young masters.

Naturally, he guessed what Lu Ran had encountered.

Seeing him had already stepped down two steps, the old butler called out, “Student, there’s a restroom this way.”

His tone was the same as last time—warm and kind, with the tolerance of an elder.

Lu Ran looked up at the old butler.

Although they had only met once, he actually liked this butler very much.

The butler reminded Lu Ran of the former Dean Lu.

Both had a warmth and kindness that made one feel as though they were immersed in warm water.

There was no sense of control or pressure from an elder.

Lu Ran followed the old butler’s guidance and walked up.

He roughly understood that this should be another building of the Twin Towers.

After thinking for a moment, Lu Ran took the initiative to unload his backpack and handed it to the security guard standing nearby for inspection.

The old butler chuckled and pressed down on his hand. “No need to go through all that trouble.”

He pointed to the doorframe beside them and Lu Ran realized it was a security check system.

“Student, follow me.” The butler led the way.

This was Lu Ran’s first time in such a place.

He followed behind the butler, trying hard to control his curiosity, but still couldn’t help glancing around.

In his past life, when he was lying in a hospital bed, he was only twenty years old and had not yet celebrated his twenty-first birthday.

The following ten-plus years were spent in a cramped hospital room that could drive anyone insane.

So, Lu Ran occasionally exhibited curiosity that matched his age.

The corridor was very quiet, with security guards occasionally spotted at the corners.

No one else could be seen.

Perhaps it was the comforting presence of the elder in front of him; after just having gone through a “battle”, Lu Ran felt his nerves relax.

Unable to hold back, he asked, “Is it okay for you to bring me in here?”

The butler turned his head and smiled at him, seemingly inquiring about the reason behind his question.

“Just… don’t you have a master?” After saying this, Lu Ran paused, feeling the term was somewhat impolite, and rephrased, “Um, I should say boss?”

“What if he gets angry?” Lu Ran asked.

The butler’s eyes sparkled with more laughter at his words.

“Last time you were allowed in the car, which means he agreed. The gentleman does indeed have a bad temper, but he doesn’t get angry for no reason.”

Lu Ran: “…”

He fell silent for a moment and whispered, “There are cameras here; won’t he hear you say that?”

The butler was amused by his cautious demeanor.

At the end of the corridor was a public restroom. He pointed to it and gently reminded Lu Ran, “The red button at the sink is for warm water. There are unopened towels in the cabinet against the wall and there’s a hairdryer in front of the mirror.”

Lu Ran nodded.

The surroundings were quiet and everything felt unfamiliar.

As he reached for the slightly cool metal doorknob, he couldn’t help but turn back to look at the butler.

His dark eyes held a hint of attachment to the elder.

Seeing him lingering, the butler bent forward, asking, “Do you need any help?”

Lu Ran shook his head and pushed the door open, stepping inside.

Once the restroom door closed automatically, he let out a gentle sigh and took off his backpack.

The restroom was spacious and clean.

It had a curved design, with a corridor surrounding the stalls.

The sink was a bit high, making it difficult to manage his clothes while wearing them.

Lu Ran lowered his head, preparing to take off his clothes.

Just as he unbuttoned his jeans, a slight creaking sound came from the side.

A black electric wheelchair slowly rolled in from the other end of the curved corridor.

Lu Ran froze, looking up.

He unexpectedly met a pair of somber, deadened black eyes.
