Qin Shen watched his silly son who was about to burst into tears as he touched his nose. He couldn’t help but reach out and pat his fleshy little butt and said frowning, “A man is not allowed to cry. It’s a waste to cry. It can’t even be turned into a pearl.” His tone of voice is quite disgusted.

Jiang Naonao was aggrieved and fought back tears.

Gu Yang went downstairs and found the little boy sitting on Qin Shen’s lap with a dejected expression on his face, blinking his big, black, and round moist eyes. “Hey, what happened? Why is he like this?” he asked softly.

“Come on, Uncle will give you a hug.” Gu Yang said, clapping his hands towards the little boy.

Jiang Naonao didn’t hesitate for a second and opened his chubby arm to Gu Yang.

Gu Yang sat on the sofa, cuddling the small child, and groaned, “They can’t come up with that much money in such a short period of time, so why don’t we just buy the island first?”

He could buy ten of them as long as it doesn’t exhaust Lin Cheng or the fish egg in his stomach, let alone one island.

“No, their Patriarch will be angry.” Qin Shen shook his head. The old man appeared to be a man of strong convictions. If he did something the old man didn’t want, he might become enraged again and take Jiang Yu and the others away.

Gu Yang grumbled, “If only there were other ways to help them make money.”

Qin Shen closed his eyes and pondered deeply after hearing this.

“I’ll go upstairs to take a look.” Gu Yang said, looking at the time. The two of them had been locked in the room upstairs for half an hour already, and he couldn’t resist going up again.

He truly was angry. Qin Shen took the little lion toy bought for him yesterday from the coffee table and shook it in front of him, “I said something wrong just now, can I apologize to you?”

Yesterday, the little cub was still cuddling the lion toy and couldn’t put it down but now the little cub is lying on the sofa, gnawing his thumb and ignoring his father.

The little ancestor has been offended. Qin Shen rested on the carpet and thought for a moment, then stood up and scooped the little cub up and walked to the pool upstairs.

The little cub has recently grown tired of playing with the fish in the pool. He enjoys it when Qin Shen or Jiang Yu come down to the pool to chase him and play, and he is always chuckling and laughing.

“Okay, what is he doing hiding in the rock cave?” Jiang Yu led him upstairs and went to the swimming pool. Jiang Naonao was stealthily peeking outside and hurriedly retracted his small head once he noticed the two of them.

Qin Shen guiltily touched his nose and Jiang Yu turned his head just in the right time to see the look on his face and understood, “Were you being mean to him?”

“…no…. it doesn’t count,” Qin Shen said, lacking in confidence.

Jiang Yu pushed him aside speechlessly and went down to the swimming pool. It took him a lot of effort to coax the little cub out of the cave. The little cub was very upset, and he still ignored Qin Shen as he laid tiredly in Jiang Yu’s arms.

In the evening, Jiang Naonao was still clinging to Jiang Yu, utterly ignoring Qin Shen. While Qin Shen sat alone, the two of them, father and son, continued to play and giggle. Then as soon as Qin Shen sat next to the two of them, Naonao stopped giggling and thrust his little bum out at him.

Qin Shen was furious. After the little one had fallen asleep, he complained to Jiang Yu, whispering, “It’s all because you spoiled him! If he continues to ignore me tomorrow, I’ll give him a spanking.”

Jiang Yu didn’t believe that he will really beat the little boy and just nodded perfunctorily, yawned, and then fell asleep.

When he woke up the next morning, he was the only one left on the bed. He lifted the quilt, got out of bed, and went downstairs. He noticed a bunch of new toys stacked up in the living room. Qin Shen sat on the pile of toys, holding Jiang Naonao in his arms. He unwrapped a toy and placed it in front of the little cub, who smiled and embraced the new toy. Jiang Yu smiled and watched them for a while before going back upstairs.

Two days later, the Patriarch came back, carrying a large woven bag full of pink and lustrous pearls.

Qin Shen couldn’t help but feel emotional when he looked at it. This would have taken countless days and nights of crying to collect this much.

“How much can I sell for this much?” The Patriarch clapped his hands and asked with great interest.
