As for the servants that were purchased temporarily, they needed to be sold off to a remote and secluded place far from the capital; this way they wouldnt be able to tarnish the Song familys reputation.
First Madam, who had already managed household affairs for many years, swiftly handled everything within a quarter of an hour. Then she turned to the Third Madam and said with a smile, “Third Sister-In-Law, we mustn’t delay any longer, or it will be disrespectful. Let’s leave quickly.”
Cai Shi, feeling very frustrated, couldn’t even muster a smile at the First Madam.
Why did First Madam interfere in the affairs of their third branch? Yet, she used her husband to pressure her, which made Cai Shi feel somewhat apprehensive.
“I have troubled you, Sister-in-law. Let’s go,” Cai Shi said coldly, supporting her Eldest Daughter as they walked out.
The First Madam was unconcerned and left with the other Misses.
Before leaving, Song Jinxuan glanced at Xie Linlang, but Linlang pretended not to notice.
Once everyone left, the mansion became quiet again. Xie Linlang immediately went to the east courtyard to visit Song Yunzhao.
The doctor had just finished taking Song Yunzhao’s pulse and had prescribed medicine. Jiang Xiang handed the prescription to a servant, and Qian Cao, with red eyes, poured a cup of water for her Miss.
Luo Momo handed out silver to bribe the people in the First Madam’s courtyard; after all, they would be staying there for a while.
When Xie Linlang arrived, she saw Song Yunzhao’s pale face. Her long hair was draped over her shoulders, and her eyes were red. She no longer had her usual lively and spirited demeanour, and her small, frail appearance was truly heartbreaking.
“Yunzhao, how are you feeling now?” Xie Linlang asked worriedly. After having a fever and causing such a commotion, she feared that Song Yunzhao’s body was very weak. “What would you like to eat? I can have someone buy it for you.”
Song Yunzhao indeed felt awful at that moment. Although she had been living in this world for more than a decade, she hadn’t really felt the emotions of the original owner over the years. But today, she did feel them.
It was a strange sensation, as if her emotions had separated from her body. The original owner’s grievances, helplessness, stubbornness, and suffocation…made her empathise deeply, wishing she could pin Cai Shi and Song Qinghan to the ground and give them a good beating.

Xie Linlang sat on a stool by the bed, “You really scared me today.”

Hearing the laughter from the room, Jiang Xiang and the others felt slightly relieved. They hadn’t expected the Young Lady to be so effective in cheering Song Yunzhao up.
Xie Linlang really did have someone buy a few dishes from a restaurant. Although the food was light, it tasted good and it was suitable for a sick person.
Song Yunzhao, who was in a good mood after causing a scene, ate contentedly.
After dinner, Xie Linlang said, “I have to go now. First Madam and the others will probably return soon. Take care.”
Song Yunzhao understood her concern and nodded slightly, “I know. Thank you for the delightful treat today.”

Song Yunzhao closed her eyes to rest for a bit and pondered. Since she didn’t go to the Dingnan Mansion, she wondered who would end up being the target of Song Qinghan’s schemes. However, the appearance of the others might not necessarily displease Chu Yuying, and the plot in the book might not unfold.

“Is the Third Young Lady feeling better?”
Luo Momo noticed the First Madam’s unpleasant expression, suggesting something had happened at the Count Mansion. She replied cautiously and respectfully, “The Young Lady took her medicine and went to sleep. She hasn’t woken up yet, but her fever has lessened after taking the medicine.”
The First Madam nodded slightly, “Take good care of your Miss, and tell me when she wakes up.”
Luo Momo quickly agreed and, seeing that the First Madam had no more instructions, bowed and left.
Just as she reached the door, the Fifth Young Lady stormed in, lifting the curtain with a furious expression. Luo Momo stepped aside and slowed her pace. She heard the Fifth Young Lady’s voice, “Mother, are we just going to let today`s matter slide like this?”
“What more do you want? Fortunately, nothing major happened, otherwise none of you would have been able to escape responsibility.”
The First Madam’s voice was filled with suppressed anger, making Luo Momo shiver slightly.
“Mother, Song Qinghan was clearly the one stirring up trouble. Why don’t you believe me?”
Luo Momo had already reached the corridor and didn’t dare linger. She quickly descended the steps and walked away.
However, her heart was burning with curiosity, certain that something significant had happened at the Count Residence.
She turned around and instead of going back to the east wing, headed to the west courtyard.
