SVWL Chapter 3

From the school gate to the teaching building of the 2nd year, pass the playground, pass through the administrative building, and go up a few steps.

Zhu Tong happened to be stuck in the position where he was about to go up the steps when he left the administrative building.

There were three people blocking Zhu Tong including Yuan Shaozhou. Except him, the other two had dyed hair.

At first glance, they all looked like someone you shouldn’t mess with.

Zhu Tong calmly said, “Is there something wrong?”

“…”

The moment he raised his head, the three blocking people froze at the same time.

They found Zhu Tong only after getting inside information from Class Three.

Although the girls said that the new transfer student was good-looking, Yuan Shaozhou didn’t take it seriously at first, because those girls always liked to exaggerate.

To his surprise, the girls didn’t exaggerate this time.

It’s a pity that he was a sick child.

But such sickly person was more than fine—

After all, they’re easy to handle.

Yuan Shaozhou spoke in a manner he thought was cold and charming. “I heard that you were arranged to be Shao Ming’s deskmate?”

Zhu Tong shuddered at his laughter.

He’s not scared, it’s just a natural recoil from Yuan Shaozhou’s greasiness.

Although Yuan Shaozhou was also one of the suitors of the heartthrob, he was just cannon fodder level. Not even a spare tire1a suitor who is “hanged-on” so to speak. Like the MC will get with this character if the ML rejected them lol.

He looked average and his character setting was equally as inferior.

Plus, when he suddenly smiled like it, it looked as oily as his greasy black hair.

Not attractive at all.

Zhu Tong’s stomach began to churn again. He took half a step back and said, “Yes, what’s the matter?”

Yuan Shaozhou looked at his backing movement and smiled secretly in his heart. He thought, ‘Very good, he’s afraid of me now.’

“It’s nothing, I just want to tell you that you can’t be Shao Ming’s deskmate. It’s not your place. So be sensible and find a teacher to change seats, otherwise I won’t guarantee what will happen to you.” He looked at Zhu Tong suspiciously.

The two cronies behind him had already walked to his side.

Gongshui No. 1 Middle School didn’t have many transfer students. In the past, almost all of Shao Ming’s assigned deskmates had selfish intentions, and they were not willing to give up their seat.

But so what? Didn’t they all change seats obediently in the end?

As long as the transfer student hesitated even a little bit, he would pounce on that hesitation to get what he wanted.

However, he was disappointed.

Before the two cronies started to encircle their prey, Zhu Tong calmly said, “Oh, I see.”

Yuan Shaozhou: “…”

The two underlings: “…”

So casual?

The unexpected development left the trio stunned.

Zhu Tong continued, “Is there anything else?”

The trio: “…”

Zhu Tong: “Then, can I go?”

Since they didn’t move, Zhu Tong directly bypassed them and walked towards the teaching building.

Yuan Shaozhou felt aggrieved – this felt like punching cotton2as in, you’ve trained hard in your martial arts, but in the end, your training went to waste because instead of utilizing it to break rocks/etc, you punched cotton, which won’t deform even under your best efforts.. He subconsciously wanted to stop him, but a teacher came not far away, so he could only forcibly withdraw his outstretched hand.

As he walked without burden, the system voice sounded in Zhu Tong’s head, ‘The host is really planning to change seats?’

Zhu Tong answered, ‘What seat?’

‘Didn’t you just…’

‘I only said “I see”. I didn’t agree to anything.’

System 666: ‘…’

—Plus, even if he agreed, who said that he must do it anyways?

The only blame was that Yuan Shaozhou’s Chinese language skill was not very good. He doesn’t know the saying of “soldiers never tire of deceit”.

Moreover, Yuan Shaozhou threatened him to change seats, while Zhu Tong needed to target Shao Ming, the white moonlight!

No matter what, he must never let Shao Ming know.

Zhu Tong returned to the classroom with his desk covers.

He exited from the front door and entered by the back door. But no matter which entrances he chose, he would inevitably become the focus of the whole class.

“The transfer student is back.”

“He looks the same as when he went out.”

“Ah, he’s returned to his seat.”

“He still has the time to stick it to his desk?”

“Didn’t Yuan Shaozhou find him?”

There were a lot of disbelieving voices in the classroom.

However, Zhu Tong still turned on deaf ears for all of these. He only had eyes for his clean desk.

Even when Shao Ming had already sat back to his seat, Zhu Tong didn’t take a second look at his deskmate.

Shao Ming saw him as fearless yet a bit unscrupulous.

Zhu Tong pursued perfection very much when doing things. He wrapped the corners of the table with the plastic sheet, folded up the excess parts and stuck them with glue.

He was meticulous and patient.

He was not in a hurry or rash, and was very quiet when he concentrated.

Shao Ming thought, ‘If such a person becomes my deskmate, it’s quite acceptable.’

Shao Ming supported his head with one hand, and held the mobile phone in the palm of his hand with the other. The mirror surface of the mobile phone reflected the sunlight, and a ball of light from the reflection shook regularly on the classroom ceiling with his movements.

After much gossiping, the classmates finally got bored staring at Zhu Tong. They mostly grouped up in two or three; and gradually, they started to chat within themselves, filling up the classroom with their chatter.

The relaxed atmosphere didn’t last long. The evening self-study was approaching, and the classroom was almost full. Suddenly, there was a “bang” – once again, the front door of the classroom was forcibly opened with a kick.

The unlucky student next to the door of the back row was a irascible boy who was dozing off. Because of this noise, he was forcibly woken up. He immediately cursed, “Who the hell…”

Before he could finish speaking, he turned his head and saw the person who appeared by the door. His curses were stuck in his throat.

Yuan Shaozhou didn’t pay attention to him. He directly locked his eyes on the window in the back row. When he saw the two desks still placed side by side, his eyes turned red with anger.

“You, new transfer! How dare you fuck me?!”

Even the table was neatly wrapped up!

This was a blatant defiance of his threats!

The sudden appearance of Yuan Shaozhou made the noisy Class 3 fall into silence once again. Everyone looked at Zhu Tong at the same time, but they didn’t dare to say anything.

‘It turned out that Yuan Shaozhou had already found the transfer student?’

‘What happened between them?’

Some people couldn’t help but begin to worry about Zhu Tong.

It has not been quite a long time since Yuan Shaozhou began to be the school’s residence bully. Not only does he have a good family background, but he also has contacts with gangsters outside the school.

In the school, there’s still teachers to protect them. But if they got retaliated upon outside of school, it would be troublesome!

But there were always people who were not afraid of power and wanted to rebel.

Luo Suo saw that Yuan Shaozhou was not pleasing to his eyes, so he jumped out and said, “Hey, why do you think people are afraid of your petty tricks? you? After spending a few days with others outside the school, do you forget that you are just a bunch of limp veggies?”

Yuan Shaozhou turned his head and looked over Luo Suo. His face suddenly changed.

“Luo Suo, it’s none of your business! Don’t meddle in this!” He pointed at Zhu Tong again. “You over there! Get out of here with me!”

After Zhu Tong looked at Yuan Shaozhou, he looked away and ignored him again. He basically didn’t want to take Yuan Shaozhou’s bullshit.

With this blatant ignorance, Yuan Shaozhou got even angrier. With his head filled up with indignation, he  rushed directly into the classroom, kicking Zhu Tong’s desk over.

The desk rose from the ground and went straight to the wall behind the classroom. There was a loud “bang“, startling the timid girls in the classroom.

Yuan Shaozhou stood in front of Zhu Tong.

Everyone held their breath and looked at Zhu Tong nervously.

Still holding the bottle in his hand, Zhu Tong turned his head and watched the desk he had finally cleaned hit the wall and bounced back to make intimate contact with the dirty floor. There was only one thought in his head, ‘Man, this desk is quite sturdy.’

Yuan Shaozhou roared angrily, “Didn’t you hear what I said to you?”

Shao Ming turned his body sideways at some point, leaning his back against the window sill. He faced the burgeoning battlefield, leisurely watching what’s happening.

Zhu Tong only indifferently looked back, “Oh, what did you say?”

The whole class: “…”

This answer… naked provocation!

Yuan Shaozhou was really enraged, “You…”

His face was almost the same color as a pig’s liver.

He clenched his hands into fists, and the veins on the back of his hands bulged. He glared at Zhu Tong for a while, then suddenly stretched out his hand to grab his collar, as if intending to drag him out.

Someone subconsciously exclaimed.

Shao Ming sat behind Zhu Tong, moving his long legs leisurely. He actually intended to trip up Yuan Shaozhou.

It’s just that before he could do that, Zhu Tong suddenly raised his hand, pressed his fingers lightly—

And then, some kind of liquid sprayed on Yuan Shaozhou’s face.

Yuan Shaozhou’s breathing was blocked, he instinctively raised his hand to block it. He even staggered a few steps back.

‘!!What is this?!’ He fumbled around for a long time before realizing that the spray had stopped.

In his panic, he couldn’t tell what the spray was, and looked at Zhu Tong warily.

Zhu Tong still held the bottle of liquid, and kindly explained, “Saline solution, diluted, does not hurt the skin.”

Yuan Shaozhou: “…”

“Pfft, he was so scared by a bottle of normal saline.”

“Haha, I thought that was pepper spray3original: anti-wolf spray. Wolf is euphemism for “perverts/lechers” or something. Boys should protect themselves when they are outside these days.”

“The transfer student sprayed him with saline, do you think he thinks Yuan Shaozhou is poisonous or something? Or does Zhu Tong think he needs to be disinfected?”

“Hahahaha.”

The mocking whispers steadily turned into a communal laugh. It made Yuan Shaozhou’s anger reach unprecedented levels. He looked so ugly as if he was a man-eating ogre or something.

He squeezed out a few words between his teeth, “You’re looking for death!”

He stepped back with his elbows, and his merciless fists directly wanted to greet Zhu Tong’s face.

At this time, Shao Ming’s long legs that had been idle for a round finally came into use. He got up and stretched his legs inadvertently, tripping Yuan Shaozhou into kissing the dirty ground.

‘Congratulations! You gained +5% of the white moonlight’s favorability. Your current favorability is 10%.’

Zhu Tong: “…”

10%.

Doesn’t this mean he no longer needs to go to the ICU?

Zhu Tong’s eyes brightened slightly, and he turned to look at the person behind him.

Sure enough, it was right to let Yuan Shaozhou come to look for him in the classroom.

An enemy of an enemy is a friend.

This event is fruitful!

Seeing Zhu Tong looking over, Shao Ming smiled slightly and said, “You’re welcome.”

Zhu Tong: “…”

The moment the two deskmates looked at each other, Yuan Shaozhou had already struggled to get up from the ground, “Shao! Ming! I’ll fight you! You’re a goner!!”

He rushed towards Shao Ming with red eyes.

“Yuan Shaozhou! What are you doing?!”

Suddenly, someone came from the front door. They yelled in shock and anger, rushing at Yuan Shaozhou with a light speed.

“It’s you again! What are you doing in Class 3? Bullying your new classmates? If you don’t want to stay in school, drop out of school early and get out!”

Yuan Shaozhou’s action was forcibly stopped. He even got sprayed in the face with saliva.

Yuan Shaozhou: “Motherfucke–4he actually cursed with “Your mother—” which is a classic censored curse.”

“Who the hell do you think you are? Do you fucking think I didn’t see you trying to hit your new schoolmate? Hurry up and apologize!”

Yuan Shaozhou: “…”

When the hell did he hit the new transfer student?

The injured person was obviously him!

The sudden appearance made the Class 3 collectively heave a sigh of relief.

Zhu Tong also looked at the hero who rushed in.

It was a man in his 40s, with a square face and thick hair. He looked very intimidating.

“Yang Can, the head teacher of our year,” Shao Ming kindly introduced him.

Zhu Tong glanced back at him, and silently replaced the pepper spray he had just taken out of his pocket with normal saline solution.

Shao Ming looked at Zhu Tong’s small movements that he thought were concealed, raised his eyebrows, and smiled.

Yuan Shaozhou had already been scolded by Yang Can before. He was not afraid of being expelled from school, because with his familial connection, it’s hard to do that.

But this 2nd year head teacher was an ex-army retiree. He’s super good at fighting!

Yuan Shaozhou’s anger was quenched by saliva.

Yang Can looked at the bruise on his forehead, then at the new classmate whose face was pale and weak. He asked, “Say, what’s going on?”

Yuan Shaozhou said, “I…”

“Yang-laoshi, Yuan Shaozhou came to our classroom for no reason and kicked over the desk of the new classmate. The injury on his forehead was from he accidently tripping himself and falling to the floor!”

Luo Suo, the brave warrior, Rosso jumped out again to uphold justice for his new classmate.

Yuan Shaozhou’s face darkened. “Luo Suo, you fucking…”

“Laoshi, if you don’t believe me, you can watch the surveillance!”

“…” Yuan Shaozhou couldn’t say what he wanted to refute.

Because, as long as the teacher watched the surveillance, he could see what’s going on.

Even if he was tripped by Shao Ming, Yuan Shaozhou deserved it.

Yang Can looked at his face, which turned blue and white. Of course he immediately understood what’s going on.

“Apologize to the transfer student,” Yang Can pushed him towards Zhu Tong.

Of course Yuan Shaozhou refused to apologize. He snorted coldly and turned his face away.

Yang Can said, “If you don’t apologize, you will stay on guard in Class 3 today!”

“…”

Stand guard?

Does he stand there so other people can watch him as a joke?

Yuan Shaozhou immediately turned his head to protest. But Yang Can insisted, “Why are you staring at me? I will stand with you!”

“…”

There was no chance to sneak away.

Yuan Shaozhou no longer cared about thinking about why the head teacher appeared here.

He was so aggrieved that he was about to explode!

In the end, he could only reluctantly apologize.

Zhu Tong remained expressionless throughout the whole thing; as if the person who was targeted and apologized just now was not him at all.

After Yuan Shaozhou apologized, he turned around and left without waiting for his response.

“Wait a minute,” Zhu Tong said suddenly.

Yuan Shaozhou said gloomily, “What else do you want?”

Zhu Tong: “Move my desk back.”

Yuan Shaozhou gritted his teeth, “Don’t push yourself!”

Zhu Tong was unmoved. “It’s dirty now. Wipe it clean.”

“…”

For people like Yuan Shaozhou, the punishment from breaking the school rules would not affect him.

It’s better to let him pay for his mistakes. Even small things like putting the desk back in place and cleaning the desk can make him remember for a long while.

This is a compromise, a surrender.

In short, this kind of “humiliating” acts are the most effective methods. Because people like Yuan Shaozhou care about their image the most.

Under the urging of Yang Can, Yuan Shaozhou was forced to carry back the desk he kicked over while the whole class was watching him. He was also forced to wipe the dirty edge of the desk with his sleeve against the bag that fell from his forehead.

He looked very ashamed.

Led by Luo Suo, there was undisguised laughter from several people in the class.

Yuan Shaozhou’s face was ashen, he looked at Zhu Tong and said, “Are you satisfied?”

Zhu Tong looked at the now-scratched desk cover. He didn’t want to say that he was satisfied. In the end, to save his face for the head teacher, he softly said, “Reluctantly.”

Yuan Shaozhou now has the intention to kill Zhu Tong.

He thought bitterly in his heart, ‘Newcomer, wait for me!’

When he finally left the classroom, the suppressed laughter broke out in the class.

The others let out a sigh of relief.

Zhu Tong looked at Yang Can, stepped forward and thanked him politely.

Yang Can had a good impression of this child. He put aside the harshness towards Yuan Shaozhou, and his voice became gentler by a long shot. “Your name is Zhu Tong, right?”

Zhu Tong nodded. “Yes.”

“That’s right,” Yang Can smiled and said, “The principal told me that you transferred here to study hard. You even applied to be at the same table with Shao Ming. It’s a good thing to have this kind of self-motivated attitude. The teachers like students like you.”

He said it with a look of relief, but Zhu Tong’s heart skipped a beat.

He didn’t even dare to deliberately say hello to Shao Ming? Why was his motive sold out so suddenly?

When he turned around, he saw Shao Ming looking at him in surprise.

Zhu Tong’s heart sank, and he turned his head and explained, “Laoshi, you misunderstood me. I didn’t transfer to another school because of Shao…”

“Okay, don’t be embarrassed. I know Shao Ming is smart; he can help you with your studies. If you have any questions that you don’t understand, ask him for advice.”

Zhu Tong wanted to refute. “I…”

‘The white moonlight’s favorability has decreased by 1%. Your favorability level is 9%. Host, please make persistent efforts to raise it back up.’

Zhu Tong: “…”

He seemed to see the ICU reaching out to him.

Fuck!!
