SPDO Chapter 48

After buying the ticket, Qin Cheng leaned on the table, tilting his face to look at Jian Heng.

Lao Xu was at the podium talking about the exam paper; her voice was not loud, but the class was completely silent.

It was so quiet that it made people sleepy.

Jian Heng rested his chin on his hand, his eyes half-closed, listening attentively, showing respect. The exam paper on the desk had just one wrong answer——he changed it after he bragged and made a fuss during his live stream last night; the original answer was correct.

Qin Cheng was so bored he felt like he was going to lose it.

In the past, when he was alone in the classroom, he would just sleep when he got bored. If that didn’t work, he’d message Tan Qi to chat nonsense, and if he was still bored, he’d think of a way to mess up so that Lao Xu would kick him out, allowing him to skip class openly.

But now, with Jian Heng sitting next to him, Qin Cheng felt that all those ‘ifs’ were pointless.

What’s the point of skipping classes when his deskmate is much more interesting?

Qin Cheng hesitated for two seconds. Seeing that Jian Heng was indeed listening half-heartedly, he reached out and touched his wrist. The prominent bone and the line of his arm created a contour that Qin Cheng couldn’t help but explore, feeling captivated by the sensation.

If Jian Heng continued to not resist, Qin Cheng had no doubt that he could get himself hard in another minute.

Jian Heng glanced at him, made no move, and turned back to continue listening to the class.

Qin Cheng looked around; some were yawning, some were paying attention, and quite a few who didn’t understand were forcing themselves to listen, but none of them were glancing this way.

Qin Cheng, having gained an inch and wanting a mile, sprawled on the table like a boneless creature and began to inch sideways until his head bumped into Jian Heng’s arm. He then lowered his voice and called out: “This handsome student, are you online?”

Jian Heng turned his pen, looked at him with his eyes downcast, and replied just as softly: “Not online.”

Qin Cheng didn’t know what nerve he had touched, but he suddenly started laughing. At first, it was just a twitch at the corners of his mouth, but after a while, he couldn’t hold it in anymore. His shoulders shook as well as his back and arms, and he couldn’t help but pull Jian Heng into laughter with him.

Jian Heng, being the expressionless cool boy, held a straight face for two seconds before quickly being influenced by Qin Cheng, the corners of his mouth lifting as he began to laugh too. However, his laughter wasn’t as exaggerated.

The two of them seemed to be sharing some secret joy in the last row, laughing so hard that the table started to shake. The two people in the front row turned around to sneak a glance at them and quietly asked: “What’s wrong, Qin-ge?”

Qin Cheng was leaning on the table, laughing so hard he couldn’t speak. He raised his hand to indicate that he was fine, waiting for them to turn back before continuing to laugh.

He really didn’t know why he was laughing so wildly for no reason. It was just that when Jian Heng looked at him and spoke softly with him, something suddenly bloomed in his heart, spreading all the way to his head, making him feel like he must have been a delicate flower in his past life.

So was Jian Heng a gardener in his past life?

Holy shit.

Thinking this way, Qin Cheng laughed even more joyfully, his cheeks aching, unable to resist grabbing Jian Heng’s hand, squeezing it tightly, and shaking it while whispering in a trembling voice: “Let me tell you a story, hahahahahahahahahaha…”

Jian Heng curled his index finger, pressing it against the corner of his mouth. His ability to manage his expressions should be a talent. He quickly regained his composure, and when he looked down at Qin Cheng, there was no trace of emotion left on his face.

Jian Heng turned his hand to hold Qin Cheng’s hand and asked: “What story?”

Qin Cheng leaned on the table and waved his hand, signaling him to lower his head: “Come closer, I’ll tell you quietly.”

Jian Heng raised an eyebrow and leaned down.

Just as Qin Cheng was about to whisper in his ear, Lao Xu shouted angrily: “Qin Cheng!!! Are you two cuddling and flirting? Do you know we’re in class? This is a classroom!”

Qin Cheng immediately let go of Jian Heng and sat up straight as soon as she started speaking, but Lao Xu clearly saw that it had been going on for a while, and her anger was rising rapidly.

“Stand up!”

Just as Jian Heng was about to move, Qin Cheng stopped him. Sure enough, the next second Lao Xu said again: “I’m talking about you! Qin Cheng!”

Qin Cheng sighed and stood up, his expression still the familiar innocent look that Lao Xu knew well: “What did I do?”

Lao Xu, furious, slammed a piece of chalk at his feet: “Get to the back and stand there! I’ve been watching you for a while, and you still don’t get it. Jian Heng was paying attention in class, and you had to stir things up! You have to poke him! Did you get a thorn stuck in you that you need him to pull out? Go ahead and burrow right into his arms! Are you in class or hibernating?”

If this were before, Qin Cheng would definitely have turned beet red, but now, Qin-ge was so eager for the whole world to know that Jian Heng likes him, and he likes Jian Heng. They are sweet and affectionate, and not only is he not embarrassed, but he also playfully goes along with it.

“My heavens, since you put it that way, if I don’t burrow at least once, I would be letting down your expectations.”

Lao Xu choked up and glared at him: “You better know when to stop!”

Qin Cheng waved his hand, smiling humbly: “Hey, it’s all according to what you said.”

After saying that, he lowered his head to embrace Jian Heng, who showed no intention of resisting at all, even indulgently putting down his pen, looking completely nonchalant.

When Qin Cheng bent down, besides Lao Xu’s furious roar, he also heard the girls’ screams.

Scream all you want; see how your Qin-ge takes down this cool guy.

“Holy shit, holy shit, holy shit! My Ge is so fierce!” This was Tan Qi.

“Oh my god, are you serious? My heavens, two A’s are so fucking intense!” This was an unidentified Alpha.

“Ahhhhhhhhhhhh——Kiss him, kiss him, Qin-ge; lower your head!” This was a group of Omegas.

Qin Cheng felt a great sense of satisfaction.

Worried that Lao Xu might have a heart attack, he didn’t princess carry him but instead draped his arm over Jian Heng’s shoulder and stepped over from his leg, standing on the other side.

In that split second of separation, his palm lingered on Jian Heng’s neck for a moment——less than a second——but his mark seemed to be imprinted on his palms, which instantly became warm.

“I’ll stand as punishment,” Qin Cheng said, skillfully moving to the wall, waving his hand in a friendly manner. “I won’t disturb him from listening to the class anymore; you go ahead and teach; I was wrong.”

Laughter erupted in the classroom.

Lao Xu slapped the lecture table, and the room quieted down again.

Qin Cheng didn’t even have his phone to play with anymore. Sighing, he couldn’t help but put his hand on the back of Jian Heng’s chair. His index and middle fingers slowly crawled forward as if they were walking, finally stopping on his shoulder.

As the laughter faded, he suddenly felt a bit lost and wistful.

To be honest, this kind of emotion seemed a bit pretentious for a big man like Qin Cheng, but he really does feel a bit lost.

Clearly, the person was right in front of him; they had even cuddled while sleeping last night——no, he had been the one being cuddled——so why did it feel a bit unstable?

Qin Cheng fell into deep thought.

If the person wasn’t his for a day, he couldn’t feel at ease for a day.

This time, when they went out to play, he had to make it count, subtly revealing his feelings and then confessing when Jian Heng was uncertain.

It’s both taking the initiative and romantic.

It’s settled then.

Qin-ge was extremely satisfied, feeling like he was a master at confessions.

***

The sensation on his back was something he couldn’t ignore, no matter how much he tried. After gaining some confidence, Qin Cheng’s heart has also grown bolder, openly touching and feeling around, completely shedding his previous fear of being seen as gay.

Jian Heng lowered his head to glance at the exam paper.

Where did he leave off?

He actually hadn’t watched many movies, but isn’t going to the cinema a part of dating?

Suddenly, a cool sensation brushed against his glands, and Jian Heng paused——Qin Cheng had placed his hand over it.

The palm was slightly calloused, a bit rough.

Jian Heng paused, not saying anything; a barely noticeable smile curled at the corners of his mouth before quickly fading away.

Even with such obvious actions, Qin Cheng still stubbornly refused to admit it; what big surprise was he holding back?

To be honest, he was quite looking forward to it.

***

For the first time, Qin Cheng woke up earlier than Jian Heng.

When he opened his eyes, the two of them were lying with their arms tangled and legs intertwined, sticky and cozy. A smile crept at the corner of his mouth as he carefully got out of bed.

Last night, he had stubbornly insisted on staying over, with a grand excuse——he had to take care of the injured.

Jian Heng probably didn’t notice anything; he said nothing and simply held him tightly, sleeping through the night.

Qin Cheng squatted by the bed and watched him for a while, blowing a kiss from a distance before getting up to dress and wash up.

When he finished tidying himself and looked in the mirror, Qin Cheng carefully examined himself. Hmm, he was so handsome that he could hardly keep his eyes open1帥的他眼睛睜不開了 (shuài de tā yǎn jīng zhēng bù kāi le): T/N: I might be wrong, but I think this means he’s so shiningly handsome that he couldn’t keep his eyes open. Or maybe he’s just sleepy. LMAO.. If he didn’t have Jian Heng in his next life, he would probably have no choice but to date himself. With such good looks, where should he go from here?

When Qin Cheng woke Jian Heng, he realized that Jian Heng didn’t wake up quickly either. His expression when he was groggy was almost the same as when he was fully awake. Qin Cheng usually didn’t have the chance to observe closely, which is why he hadn’t noticed before.

His face, devoid of expression, remained cold, but a hint of confusion in his eyes instantly added a touch of contrast that was quite endearing. Qin Cheng couldn’t help but reach out to touch his buzz cut; it felt a bit prickly but also somewhat soft as he ran his fingers along it.

Just as he was about to touch it for the third time, Jian Heng blocked him, pulling him into his arms with a firm grip, his voice low and hoarse from just waking up: “Don’t mess around.”

Qin Cheng’s heart skipped a beat, and he stopped.

Jian Heng held him close, closing his eyes, slowly savoring the moment of waking up.

Qin Cheng rested his head on Jian Heng’s shoulder, sprawling out. After all, he was a solid Alpha, standing 1.85 meters tall. He propped himself up with his arms on the edge of the bed to share the weight, preventing Jian Heng from being crushed and unable to breathe.

After a while, Qin Cheng nudged his head and yawned: “Is it too early? How about we sleep a bit more? I’m feeling sleepy, too.”

“No need,” Jian Heng rubbed his head and sat up, “Let’s go.”

Qin Cheng lazily straightened up, sitting on the edge of the bed watching him get dressed. He felt a pang of hunger in his heart.

Hurry up and let this day come to an end; he might not be able to hold back his drool anymore.

***

As they were heading out, Qin Cheng pulled out a selfie stick and started recording.

Afraid he might feel uncomfortable, Qin Cheng explained: “I’ll edit this myself later, so there’s no need to feel shy.”

Jian Heng responded with a hum, showing no signs of embarrassment at all.

Qin Cheng gave him a thumbs up. It seemed like Jian-ge was so skilled at his first live stream that he might not even have that nerve of embarrassment; cool boys are like that, right?

The wife of the congee shop’s owner knew Qin Cheng and greeted him when she saw him coming in: “Hey, what a rare guest! Bringing your boyfriend along again?”

Qin Cheng almost turned around and left: “When have I ever brought a boyfriend here? Auntie Zhou, don’t talk nonsense.”

The shop was crowded, and since Qin Cheng was a regular, the owner led him to a small private room in the back.

While ordering, Jian Heng kept looking at him, making Qin Cheng feel a bit flustered. He cleared his throat to change the subject: “This millet congee2小米粥 (xiǎo mǐ zhōu): Millet congee or porridge can be often found on the Chinese table for breakfast. Chinese people have been eating millet for thousands of years, and in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), millet porridge is regarded as a healing food for postpartum and digestive health. “Mm.” Jian Heng shifted his gaze to the menu and pointed to a few dishes with his finger.

Qin Cheng rushed to coax his wife, almost wishing he could pluck the stars and moon for him. He ordered a bunch of dishes: “This shrimp dumpling3蝦餃 (xiā jiǎo): har gow (traditional Cantonese shrimp dumpling). Shrimp Dumpling, pan-fried shrimp bun4蝦仁生煎 (xiā rén shēng jiān): Pan-fried shrimp bun. “And that heart-shaped fried egg10愛心煎蛋 (ài xīn jiān dàn): Heart-shaped Fried Egg.Heart-shaped Fried Egg,” Qin Cheng added, holding up two fingers, unable to suppress a smile: “Two of those.”

The owner’s wife winked at him, her expression clearly saying, ‘You can’t hide anything from your Auntie Zhou’.

Qin Cheng let her have her way.

In the past, it was always Tan Qi and his group bringing their partners out. Mother Tan wouldn’t allow Tan Qi to date early, so he would tell outsiders that they were Qin-ge’s boyfriend or girlfriend, which led to Qin Ge’s name as a playboy circulating widely.

Qin-ge was clearly very self-disciplined.

This time, it was for real; there was no need to hold back.

Once the person left, Jian Heng rested his chin on his hand and sat across from him, looking at him and asking: “Have you brought anyone here before?”

“No, I haven’t, really,” Qin Cheng denied three times, cursing Tan Qi in his mind for eight hundred times. He quickly explained: “Tan Qi was so afraid of his mom finding out that he was dating back then, so he placed all the blame on me. These aunties and uncles know nothing and took it seriously. I’ve always been single, the kind who still has their first love and has kept themselves pure.”

Jian Heng didn’t say anything more, and it was unclear whether he believed it or not.

The food here is truly delicious, but it’s also quite expensive. In the past, Qin Cheng had to muster a lot of determination just to enjoy it once. Now, just smelling the aroma makes him feel like it wasn’t a waste to come with Jian Heng. He had just set up his phone to record——

“That, hello.”

The soft, delicate voice made Qin Cheng turn his head warily.

Two petite Omegas stood by the table, looking at the two of them. They were both quite pretty, but perhaps due to the psychological shadow from the last time was too great, or maybe because someone else occupied their hearts, Qin Cheng looked at them and just wanted to hide away and say, ‘I’m not interested, thank you’.

What Qin Cheng didn’t expect was that Jian Heng actually responded: “Is there something you need?”

Qin-ge was displeased. Cool boy, what’s wrong with you? Your persona is collapsing.

One of the girls blushed and smiled, softly saying: “You guys are so handsome…”

Qin Cheng, with his head drowned in Shanxi mature vinegar11山西老陳醋 (Shān xī lǎo chén cù): Shanxi mature vinegar is a type of Chinese vinegar. It is a product of Shanxi Province. More information: Link. T/N: I think this means that QC is particularly jealous bc JH usually ignore other ppl LMAO. Shanxi mature vinegar, didn’t really pay attention to the rest of what she said——probably something about wanting to take a group photo. The girl who was blushing while speaking moved to stand next to Jian Heng, whereas the quieter one cautiously stood beside him.

In the past, Qin Cheng would never let an Omega feel awkward; it was just a photo, after all, nothing serious.

But it was fine to take a picture of him; why take one of Jian Heng?

Qin Cheng frowned, his expression tense, exuding an aura that seemed to stretch 2.8 meters. The Omega beside him didn’t dare to say a word.

Back when they first met, Jian Heng, a cold and ruthless Alpha, closed a door that nearly hit him in the face multiple times. How come he wasn’t rejecting it this time?

Qin-ge was unhappy.

Qin-ge was very unhappy.

The author has something to say:

Hahahahahaha how could he not see that Jian-ge is playing with him? Hahahahahahaha.
