TTCOTE Chapter 1

"A Queen Descends from the Sky"

That year, that day.

Tian Ding Fenghua Research Institute.

Midnight, three-quarters.

Jun Ke, Tai Shi Lan, Jing Hengbo, Wen Zhen, and a little dog formed a circle. Their eyes stare intently at the secret room in the research institute, where a red button is placed.

“Press the button, open the secret door, and outside, is the freedom we have longed for over a decade!”

“We can finally end the days of being treated like guinea pigs, locked up in research because of a bit of supernatural ability!”

“The button to open the secret door was lit, and a voice screamed, ‘Press it, and freedom will be yours!'”

“Ao!” The little white dog, Yao Ji, eagerly pressed down with its paw.

“Boom!”

After a loud noise—

“Help!”

“Yao Ji, no flying allowed!”

“My cake!”

“Oh no! It’s flying!”

With the final sound, distinct from the preceding three tones of tension or panic, it sounded particularly high-pitched, sharp, triumphant, and passionate… full of extreme excitement and madness caused by the unforeseen event.

“Oh my goodness! It’s flying, flying, flying, flying, fly, flying!” Jing Hengbo, amidst the chaotic and upside-down darkness, burst out a series of repeated words like a machine gun.

“Yao Ji, come with me!” In the first move, she extended a claw with golden nail polish, fiercely grabbing towards the little white dog.

It pierced through! It looks like it’s going to pierce through! The long-awaited moment has arrived! Snatching a dog can protect oneself, and at a critical moment, it can even be killed and eaten!

“Swish.” The little white dog disappeared into the black hole, faintly accompanied by the silhouette of a petite figure.

“Darn it!” Jing Hengbo cursed and reached out to grab it again.

“Cake Sis! Sis is here to save you!” Cake Girl, skilled in culinary arts, is an essential treasure for home and travel, especially when it comes to luring handsome guys.

“Swish.”

Cake Girl turned into a small dot, twinkling at the terminal of the black hole, and vanished.

After two consecutive failures, Jing Hengbo hesitated for just a fraction of a second.

Should she try to catch Tai Shi Lan?

He looks like a shield, equipped with the potential to be a good muscle.

“Swish.”

Before Jing Hengbo could extend her claws to grab someone, a tremendous force of suction struck. Her body trembled, feeling as if she were tumbling and colliding. Amid a dizzying haze, she traversed through a dark and murky expanse. Suddenly, a brisk and cool wind rushed in, and when she lifted her head—wow!

She is flying in the sky!

This time, it’s genuinely the sky! Not like the earlier sudden vortex of the black hole. Thin clouds swept by in front of her eyes, and the wind instantly billowed through her long hair.

Jing Hengbo tightly shut her eyes, holding onto her suitcase, and suddenly thought of an important question—would the changes in atmospheric pressure in the sky cause mysterious changes to Sis’s chest as well?

For example, would it increase by another cup size?

Also, the air in the sky seems exceptionally moist and fresh; could it be beneficial for the skin?

A sky facial mask, that’s what it is!

Using floating clouds to apply on the face, how many people have done that throughout history?

Jing Hengbo was instantly excited.

She opened her arms, preparing to do some chest-expanding exercises.

“Ah!”

Due to unauthorized movements under the anti-gravity field, an imbalance in the state occurred, leading to an individual experiencing free-fall motion.

In plain language:

BIU.

She’s falling.

——(。Y。)——

Before she fell.

In the land of Dayan, in a small village.

A group of people were busy in a secretive manner. Some were clearing the ground, some were drawing a formation on the ground with stones, and others were assembling an exquisite chair, covering it with brocade, and placing it in the center of the formation.

“We followed the compass all the way here. This should be the place mentioned by the Master, right?”

“Dayan. Head north in the direction of the Big Dipper for seven stars, then go south for a hundred miles. Can’t be wrong.”

“The sacred altar is already set up, the throne is also in place. Now, we just need a queen.”

“I think the last part is a bit challenging.”

“How can you question the authority of the Master? If he says there will be a queen, there will be a queen falling!”

“How do you know it’s falling? I feel like she’s climbing up. Look at the Lord Minister’s instructions—suddenly, thunderbolts from the sky, the earth opens into a big pit, gems everywhere, a flying disc in the air, a woman emerges alone from the place where heaven collapses and the earth splits… climbing out!”

“Falling! Look, thunderbolts from the sky!”

“Climbing out! Look, emerging from the place where heaven collapses and the earth splits!”

“Falling!”

“Climbing out!”

“Falling!”

“Climbing!”

“…Both of you, shut up! When the queen descends, how can you say falling or climbing? That’s disrespectful to the queen!”

“Then what should we say?”

“Descend!”

“Then that’s falling! I win!”

“Or be born!”

“But that’s still climbing out! I win!”

“Falling!”

“Climbing out!”

“Falling!”

“Climbing!”

“…Both of you, shut up! Go bet on the side!”

“Let’s bet then. You carry a basket of red rubies if she falls, and I bet she climbs out!”

“You stingy! Have a bit of backbone, okay? You carry a basket of sapphires, and I bet she climbs out!”

“Deal!”

“Shh, stop arguing. It seems like there’s some noise…”

In the distance, there were shouts, and faint sounds of swords clashing could be heard.

The busy people stopped their work and looked at each other.

“The people of Dayan just love to fight. On the way here, I’ve already seen fights thirty-seven times.”

“Let’s continue watching today.”

A group of well-trained individuals quickly crouched into the grass or behind bushes, squeezing their buttocks against each other to occupy advantageous positions.

The shouts grew louder, and the flickering light of torches became apparent. A group of people broke through the darkness, running towards them in an agitated manner. They stumbled, with many bearing injuries, glancing back as they ran.

With each step of their frantic run, green stones-like objects continued to fall, creating a trail of green light on the ground. The path was adorned with a shimmering green glow, as if emerald-like ghostly eyes were mysteriously emerging from the ground.

The people of DahuangZe, peeking from the bushes, widened their eyes.

“It looks like emeralds!”

“Still the top-quality kind!”

“These gems are everywhere in our place where gems are abundant. They can be considered valuable!”

“Oh my, is this a robbery?”

“Doesn’t seem like it. Look, the pursuers are coming, but they’re not even picking up the gems!”

The red light of torches and the green light of gems trembled and intertwined, illuminating the darkness. The silhouette of the black-clad pursuers became faintly visible. Leading the way was a jet-black, glossy horse, its eyes sparkling like gems. With a lift of its bowl-sized hooves, it covered three yards in an instant.

On the back of the horse, a deep voice echoed, distant yet resolute.

“Halt, fleeing ones ahead! Surrender, and you shall not be killed!”

The people fleeing ahead paid no attention and continued their frantic escape.

“Who’s the idiot shouting from behind?” scoffed one of the onlookers from the bushes. “You tell them to stop, and they’ll stop? You’re not their mother. They’ve abandoned so many gems; why care about… wait, gems?”

“Gems?”

“Oh my!” someone exclaimed, “The Royal Master’s words about ‘gems everywhere’ are true! It’s true!”

“Ah! My Master, my deity!”

There was a rustling in the bushes as a group of people, moved by the miracles of the Royal Master, began to squat on the spot, facing towards the direction of Dahuang, offering their prayers.

Luckily, with pursuers chasing and the pursued fleeing, no one had time to care about the strange behavior in the bushes.

The shouts of the pursuers failed to stop them, but the fleeing ones had run out of options. The pursuers caught up, surrounding the group just outside the village.

Another fierce battle ensued.

The cries of war were scattered by the wind, and along with them, droplets of blood were dispersed.

Those in the bushes wiped the blood splatter from their faces and patiently awaited the next miracle. On the other side, the battle had almost come to an end. Those surrounded were falling one by one, leaving only a few struggling in the field.

The onlookers’ expressions turned serious—clearly, it was a scene of bloodshed to silence witnesses.

Given that it’s not related to money, the individuals fleeing might hold crucial information. The pursuers, determined to prevent the dissemination of this information, will take drastic measures to eliminate everyone involved.

However, given the current situation, it seems unlikely that they’ll conjure up anything like “heaven collapsing and earth splitting.”

Only two individuals remain in the field—a young one and an old one.

The leader of the pursuers, riding a black horse, takes a couple of steps forward. His body is concealed behind the horse, revealing only the edges of a heavy brocade robe with hidden cloud patterns.

“Surrender…” Having killed so many people, his voice seems somewhat weary.

The young man in the field looks distressed, while the old one appears to be in contemplation.

“We can’t let our lineage end like this…” After a moment, the old man spoke with bitterness, “Alright… we surrender.”

The man on the horse nodded lightly.

“Honored Grand Prince,” the old man said, “You…”

His voice suddenly lowered, and the man addressed as the Grand Prince had to bring his horse closer.

“Xiao Si—— the besieged old man suddenly gave the young man a forceful push outward, “Go! Go! Make sure to deliver the message to the north of Hebei——

As he pushed the young man away, the old man leaped into the air. With a flick of his sleeve, a buzzing sound echoed loudly, and a cold, circular electric light, like a chilly moon emerging from the depths of darkness, shot straight toward the head of the Grand Prince of Dayan.

Caught off guard, the Grand Prince’s robes billowed abruptly. The circular disk aimed at his chest and abdomen. With a cold snort, he raised his arm in midair, wielding his longsword to protect his torso.

“Boom!” A loud noise resonated, making people’s ears buzz. The circular disk was sent flying, rotating in midair like a full moon, suspended in the sky.

“A flying disc!” exclaimed the onlookers in the bushes.

The Grand Prince, upon hearing the commotion, turned to look, but suddenly spewed blood from his mouth and collapsed backward.

“Your Highness!” His attendants hurriedly supported him. Before losing consciousness, the Grand Prince pointed at the old and young individuals.

“Kill!”

Arrows flashed through the air. The old man shielded himself in the front, taking dozens of arrows, while the young man, tears in his eyes, had already escaped more than ten yards away.

A whistling sound suddenly emerged from above as the young man was about to escape.

The sound, initially not very loud, gradually grew louder, resembling the impact of giant stones falling from above. Everyone forgot their movements and foolishly looked up. They saw a small shadow above, rapidly enlarging and plummeting straight down—

“Move aside!”

A sharp command and everyone stumbled and hurriedly ran away.

“Boom!”

Dust filled the air, and debris scattered. Those who ran slower from all directions were almost suffocated by the billowing smoke.

After a while, the smoke cleared.

A hole with a diameter of at least ten yards now adorned the ground.

The crater formed in the exact spot where the people of Dahuang had previously arranged their formation and throne. The people from Dahuang screamed and stumbled, rushing over.

“Ah, the sacred altar and throne have been destroyed… Ah? Ah?”

The screams came to an abrupt halt, and eyeballs rolled on the ground.

In front of them was a hole, and within the hole was a pile of soil. Sticking out from the soil was a pair of long legs in black stockings.

A twitch, then another.
