TVSS Chapter 51

Facing Reality in the End of the World [11]

Shu Wenzhe’s stubbornness was usually just a headache, but in the apocalypse, it had the potential to jeopardize the lives of others.

Having experienced so much, Xue Zhen realized how serious a mistake it was to indulge Shu Wenzhe due to the deaths of their brothers. Now, considering the safety of the other brothers, he had no intention of indulging Shu Wenzhe any longer.

The others, upon hearing Xue Zhen’s words, also understood that they couldn’t afford to be soft on Shu Wenzhe anymore.

The boss was right in his admonition and warning. While they would take care of Shu Wenzhe, risking their lives for him wasn’t worth it. They all had their own families to protect.

After resting in the farmhouse courtyard for half a day, the group set out again. They couldn’t be sure whether Bian Zhuokun’s people would find them, so it was better to leave as soon as possible.

However, after some discussions, the return journey was slightly altered. They decided to take a detour through G City to search for the magical fruit Shu Wenzhe had mentioned.

This decision was the result of Shu Wenzhe’s persistent requests.

In the increasingly dire situation of the apocalypse, with the human population decreasing and zombies becoming stronger, it was crucial to enhance their strength. If they didn’t, they would inevitably succumb to zombie attacks.

Moreover, Xue Zhen’s space had some flaws, and the magical fruit Shu Wenzhe spoke of was the key to repairing it. He had to obtain it, but he couldn’t navigate through the zombie hordes to reach G City alone. He needed the help of Xue Zhen and the others.

While everyone was somewhat reluctant and eager to return to the base, Shu Wenzhe’s constant affirmation of the fruit’s ability to enhance powers and awaken abilities in ordinary people eventually swayed them.

If what Shu Wenzhe said was true, one level increase in abilities represented an additional chance of survival in the apocalypse. With more enhanced abilities in the base, their overall strength would be more robust, making them less vulnerable to attacks from other base residents or zombie invasions.

Since they had to pass through G City anyway, they decided to take a look. If things didn’t work out, they would adapt accordingly.

Everyone agreed, and even Xue Zhen, as the boss, couldn’t stop them. Shu Wenzhe wouldn’t joke about risking his own life.

As for Su Jingxuan, being a hostage, he had no say in the matter. He wouldn’t object either since the magical fruit was his goal. Otherwise, he wouldn’t bother playing the hostage role.

With everyone on board, Xue Zhen deliberately misled pursuers while the rest of the group split into two routes. As the two groups went their separate ways, the supplies and vehicles were naturally divided, making the crowded conditions even more uncomfortable. The air inside the vehicles became unpleasant.

However, in the post-apocalyptic world, everyone had become accustomed to such conditions. Only Shu Wenzhe and Su Jingxuan, both pampered young men, found it particularly uncomfortable.

Shu Wenzhe was relatively fine because of his brother’s protection, and the others treated him like a younger brother. He sat alone in the front passenger seat, enduring the unpleasant smell but otherwise feeling quite comfortable.

Su Jingxuan, being a hostage, didn’t receive such good treatment. Several big guys in the group had suffered from his actions in the laboratory, so while they wouldn’t kill him, they certainly wouldn’t give him a pleasant face.

“Why is he still sitting there? This guy is small, just throw him into the trunk.”

Someone proposed maliciously.

Xue Zhen shot a glare at the one who made the suggestion, then gently pressed Su Jingxuan onto his lap before explaining.

“In the diplomatic etiquette of two warring nations, envoys are not to be harmed. This kid is quite cunning, so I’ll keep an eye on him.”

His words spoke of a dignified supervision, but his actions were gentle and attentive. His hands circled around the slender waist of the person on his lap, taking in the faint fragrance on him. A smile curved on his lips, indicating his good mood.

“Hmph, this kid is getting a good deal.”

The burly man grumbled in frustration before relenting. Su Jingxuan’s actions had played with everyone’s patience several times before, leaving a lasting impression.

The boss was right. This kid was cunning. What if they threw him in the trunk, and he managed to escape? It was better to keep an eye on him at all times.

However, having their boss act as a cushion for this little rascal to sit comfortably was way too cheap. They felt a sense of injustice.

But when they saw Su Jingxuan’s face turning red, being cradled by their boss like a woman, the mixture of humiliation, anger, and urgency made them inexplicably satisfied.

The previously frustrated man couldn’t resist teasing him.

“You better behave, kid. You’re tender and juicy. If you’re not obedient, our boss might have a good time with you.”

In the post-apocalyptic world, where women were scarce, male-to-male relationships weren’t uncommon. The young and handsome Su Jingxuan, without a powerful background, might end up as someone’s plaything.

Seeing the small and delicate appearance of the boy, who hadn’t suffered any grievances, the man couldn’t kill him, couldn’t beat him, so a little humiliation seemed fitting.

People in the car all wore malicious and ambiguous smiles, trying to intimidate.

“Mangzi is right. This kid looks good, and he’s a Level 9 ability holder. It would be quite enjoyable to have some fun with him.”

In the pre-apocalyptic era, they weren’t exactly upright and proper people. Speaking coarsely and intimidating others were commonplace.

Xue Zhen’s thoughts were stirred, and due to the bumps of the car, the young boy’s plump buttocks were constantly rubbing against a sensitive area, causing his eyelids to twitch. In front of everyone, he unexpectedly had a reaction.

Su Jingxuan felt something hard and hot pressing against him and couldn’t help but blush, even though he had thick skin and ears.

Internally cursing him as a beast, he couldn’t bear the humiliation and warned them.

“If you dare to touch me, my dad won’t let you off.”

Just after finishing speaking, the car’s jolts again unsettled his body. Without hesitation, he instinctively reached out and hugged Xue Zhen’s neck. The ambiguous contact caused the fair cheeks to blush, a mix of shyness and urgency apparent.

The young master, who had always been respected and feared since childhood, had never endured such humiliation.

Those beautiful peach blossom eyes seemed on the verge of tears, looking pitiful yet adding a touch of vulnerability that made people more inclined to bully.

The onlookers hesitated for a moment, unable to help but swallow their saliva. Although it was a jest, they couldn’t deny that Bian Zhaokun’s son did have a certain charm.

Feeling the direct and intense gaze inside the car, Xue Zhen suddenly became displeased. Unable to resist, he tightened his hold on the person on his lap with a possessive attitude and sternly reprimanded.

“Now is not the time for jokes. Drive the car on the road.”

Everyone had been with Xue Zhen for many years, well aware of his temper. Sensing the dissatisfaction and coldness in his tone, they immediately fell silent, obeying his command with seriousness while driving.

Although they didn’t know why the boss was angry again, experience told them not to dwell on it or inquire. Just follow orders.

Only Shu Wenzhe, seeing Xue Zhen’s unusual possessive gesture in the rearview mirror, couldn’t help but bite his lip.

It had been several years since the apocalypse began. The human population was dwindling, and the number of zombies was increasing. Along the way, there were large and small zombie groups attacking.

From the very beginning, everyone shifted from jokingly scaring Su Jingxuan to a serious mode. They cooperatively took turns climbing from the sunroof to the roof to deal with the zombies blocking the way.

Therefore, the car was not moving fast, and it was quite bumpy. The interior space was small, and even though Su Jingxuan was sitting on Xue Zhen’s lap, it was still uncomfortable.

Especially with Xue Zhen’s expressionless face, but the thing below was getting harder, poking into his thigh with the continuous shaking of the car.

He wasn’t truly an innocent youth. In an instant, countless intimate scenes with his lover uncontrollably flashed in his mind, making him weak all over. Unfortunately, Xue Zhen remained composed.

A pretentious jerk.

With many people in the car, Su Jingxuan didn’t want to expose his intimate moments to these people. He could only silently contemplate and keep a mental note of these various accounts.

When the car started to bump severely, he took advantage of the force to lean onto the man’s shoulder and fiercely bit to vent his frustration.

Though described as fierce, the force wasn’t too strong. Xue Zhen, a person who exercised regularly, had a sturdy body with well-built muscles. The bite felt more like a tickle.

The tingling sensation made him breathe heavily, finally breaking the act with a muffled hum.

“Boss, there’s another group of zombies ahead. After crossing the bridge, we can blow up the road, cutting off the zombies behind us.”

The brother driving in front, thinking the bumps along the way were making him uncomfortable, considerately reported the road conditions.

“Okay.”

Xue Zhen nodded, his gaze darkly fixed on the youth who now wore a triumphant smile due to successfully causing a disturbance. He gave a firm squeeze to the waist, a warning gesture.

Su Jingxuan glanced at him, ignored it, intentionally twisted his waist provocatively, with a challenging smile. He might be losing the battle, but he wouldn’t lose his spirit.

The provocative and malicious expression showed no concealment. The young man was never one to admit defeat, even when at a disadvantage.

Xue Zhen couldn’t help but smile, playfully punishing by pinching the tempting buttocks on his lap, making an effort to shift his focus and speak to the driver.

“Why are there so many zombies following us from behind?”

“I don’t know, Boss. It seems like these zombies have been chasing us the whole time.”

The driver, unaware of the situation behind, brought up the problem with a troubled expression.

Since they started the journey, they noticed that although there were indeed many zombies outside in the apocalypse, the number of zombie groups they encountered along the way was unusually high, far exceeding the normal quantity.

Moreover, these zombies had been following them persistently. After driving for an hour, there were fewer zombies in front, but a large group was trailing far behind, a sight that sent shivers down the spine.

If it weren’t for the distance, and the fact that they could cut off the pursuit by blowing up the road after crossing the bridge, their expressions wouldn’t be so relaxed.

“This is not normal,” Xue Zhen furrowed his brow.

Su Jingxuan glanced at the rearview mirror, where a relentlessly pursuing group of zombies with fierce expressions could be seen. Then, he looked at Shu Wenzhe, who had a slightly changed complexion and seemed to shrink his shoulders as if guilty of something. Understanding dawned on him.

“Drive the car faster, quickly cross the bridge.”

Sensing danger approaching with his powerful psychic abilities, Su Jingxuan put away his playful attitude and immediately spoke up to alert them.
