Chapter 8… The Bloody Apartment (8)

“Bad son!”

A loud shout came from above the two of them.

Before they could see the scene in the elevator clearly, the frightened Xu Jiaojiao immediately raised her head with joy after hearing the familiar voice.

Cuihua’s face was full of anger as she rushed from the narrow stairwell and, after seeing that it was too late, she simply flew down the spiral staircase on the second floor.

A flying shadow flashed in front of Xu Jiaojiao’s eyes and she felt like the sky was spinning; when she came back to her senses, her whole body had already been thrown down, and she’d fallen so heavily to the ground that it had hurt her back.

All of this only happened in the time span of lightning and fire.

The man with glasses holding her hostage had not yet reacted; he was then heavily patched on his back by Cuihua, and, as he exclaimed, was kicked directly into the elevator door.

The ubiquitous red in the elevator immediately swept up, firmly wrapping over half of his body.

Everyone saw clearly that the inside of the elevator was full of bright red flesh.

The pieces of meat made the walls, occupying all of the elevator’s space; the exposed muscles suddenly contracted, as if they were on a living body. The entire elevator was like the shell of this monster.

This pile of meat had no hands or feet, but a man’s face was in the middle of it.

Seeing that the elevator door was opened, that face seemed to be taken aback. The muscles on his face twitched and twisted, and suddenly opened a gap full of fangs, biting the person who fell into the elevator while wearing a terrifying expression.

“Ahhh”, he suddenly screamed, panicking and pulling out the black book again, his other hand still tightly clenching the rope.

The other end of the rope was tied to Xu Jiaojiao’s ankle, and the man with glasses was pulling on it, almost managing to drag her into the elevator.

Fortunately, Cuihua grabbed her in time.

And the monster with only a face kept opening his mouth wide, eating up the body of the man with glasses bit by bit, and he’d reached his waist in the blink of an eye.

The elevator’s doors wanted to close again, yet they kept bumping into the body of the man with glasses, making this repeating klick-thud-klick noise.

The spectacled man grasped for his last straw, clinging to the rope, but the expression on his face had eased down and he was tearfully begging Xu Jiaojiao: “Help, please.”

“Your sister ran out on her own that night, it’s really none of my business! Please… please save me, I am also a person, and I am also a living…”

The man who had been so prideful of himself just now was gone in the blink of an eye. He, who had been so disguised, pleaded now without dignity in order to live, with tears and snot mixed on his face.

This was the first time that Xu Jiaojiao actually saw how a living person was wailing so miserably before he died.

In real life, she has always been kind and cowardly, but now her eyes turned, her lips trembled and finally, she said the first swear word in her life.

“I’ll save you xx!” she yelled, new hatred and old hatred mixed together, and she kicked hard on the face of the man with glasses.

“Ahh-“ The man in glasses suddenly let out a scream, covering his broken nose as blood gushed down his face.

The elevator door closed with a click.

Screams kept coming from the elevator, and at the same time, there was the sound of pages turning in a book and the strange and weird muffled screams of a monster.

Obviously, the spectacled man who was dragged into his death place exhausted all his cards in an attempt to fight to the death.

But in the end, the screams in the elevator stopped.

Xu Jiaojiao, whose nerves had been strained, just breathed out a sigh of relief when she saw this, but the rope tied to her ankle suddenly tightened.

The elevator wanted to rise and continue to ride between the different floors, but the other end of the rope had been taken into the elevator by the man in glasses.

“Sister Cui, Sister Cui!”

Xu Jiaojiao repeatedly exclaimed her hands on the ground, her fingers bleeding from scratching at the floor as she was dragged toward the closed elevator door by the continuously shortening rope.

“Grandma has a leg, a little deflated calf who can be harmed if she dies!”

Cuihua cursed in her mouth, but she didn’t dare to pull on Xu Jiaojiao’s body anymore, for fear that her entire leg would be torn off; she fearfully pulled on the tightening rope.

“Head! Now life is at stake, don’t hide it anymore!” She suddenly raised her head and shouted.

A small figure appeared on the second floor, looking down at the two of them. It was the body of Anonymous who only looked like a little boy.

Following him, Shen Yu also appeared behind him with complicated eyes.

He recalled the little details from before, frowned slightly and then said affirmatively: “You two really know each other, but each is hiding their identity.”

Not only had they met in the novel, but the two are also more likely to be acquainted in reality.

Anonymous did not speak and just pursed the corners of his mouth, staring at the tight rope. His dark eyes condensed slightly, and several blades appeared between his fingers.

The young body jumped straight down from the second floor, the slender and sharp scalpel gleaming with cold light, but it trembled slightly, already having cut the invisible transparent rope into several pieces.

Xu Jiaojiao, who was finally rescued, immediately slumped to the ground like she was relieved of her strength, trembling all over her body, and had not yet recovered from the fear she had just endured.

Cuihua breathed a sigh of relief, laughed and walked towards the closed elevator door: “It’s really good, head! The broken rope formed by this skill, I just tried to pull it for a long time, but I couldn’t break it. You, old man, are amazing!” As she said this, she had already pressed the elevator button again.

The elevator that had just risen to halfway flashed a few times, and finally came back to the first floor, but the closed elevator door did not open for a long time.

It seemed that the monster in the elevator was also hiding and didn’t dare come out.

Cuihua waited for a moment. Seeing that the elevator didn’t respond, she raised her eyebrows, and suddenly stepped forward, grasping her hands tightly, and with a sound of “crash”, she forced the elevator’s doors apart with all her strength.

A bloody smell came out.

Shen Yu, who had already arrived on the first floor at this time, widened his eyes slightly, looking at the torn and deformed elevator doors. Although it was not visible on the surface, there was a storm in his heart.

The real masters in these stories seem to be more monstrous than the monsters.

He quietly touched the cover of his black book.

I may be able to achieve the same strength in the future, or… I will die miserably in a story.

Who knows?

The elevator’s doors had been torn open, and the interior scene was exposed to everyone.

Pieces of blood-red, and stumps of meat.

The body of the man with glasses was no longer recognizable, all mixed with the monster in the elevator, turned into a pool of rotten meat.

The meat walls that had originally been attached to the elevator were now sparsely rotten into one piece. The monster’s face was covered with scratches, lying hideously in a pile of meat scraps, but it didn’t move.

Although the glasses man’s methods had been awkward, but while Cuihua could tear the steel apart, he’d continued to pull on his rope, so his strength should not have been too bad.

No wonder he and the monster had ended at the same time.

Several broken pages, stained with blood, fell in the narrow elevator, while his black book was buried in that pile of flesh and blood.

Shen Yu stepped forward and picked up the black book soaked in blood, opened it and carefully read the red text in it.

[Thirteen brave cleaners stepped into the pink apartment. 】

【The cleaner Golden Mirror met two friends, both fools. 】【Golden Mirror laughed, his luck is really good. 】

【He told the fool that the dark night is not dangerous, so the fool stepped out of the room and died under the shower head. It is said that her eyes have not been closed yet. 】【He told the fool again that the closed elevator was not dangerous, but the fool was not confused and escaped by luck. ] [So his good fortune ends here. 】

【He was pushed into the elevator, and the story of the Golden Mirror ends here.]

In addition to the end of the story of the man with glasses, the black book also contained many words with pictures, and there were short explanations under the pictures.

Shen Yu saw a familiar item in these pictures.

A picture of a rope with the following written:

[Rope of Love]

[The insignificant artifact of the insignificant, composed of the sticky love of gentlemen, any girl who gets stuck on can’t escape, hehehehe~~]

[Current status: damaged and unusable. ]

This introduction is also a bit trivial!

Shen Yu frowned, and finally handed the book in his hand to Anonymous.

After browsing through the book, Anonymous threw the book to Cuihua: “You did most of the work saving her, so the spoils should be yours.”

Cuihua didn’t refuse, but she picked up the book of the man with eyes wide:” Hey…Where did this little crippled calf get these skills, it’s really awkward…but this wind blade is still good, I want it.”

She kept on turning the book’s pages, looking at the different pictures and choosing some. She then ripped them out and sandwiched them in her own black book.

When Shen Yu watched from the side, he suddenly realized that this is what the bald man and the spectacled man meant by “picking up leaks.”

No wonder the two of them didn’t read the book of the novice novelist; it turned out that the newcomer wouldn’t have had any skills for them to pick up.

But the stench in the elevator was getting stronger and stronger.

He sniffed in disgust, his brows frowned, and was just about to leave the narrow elevator, but when he turned around, he seemed to have kicked something with his toes.

The golden colour, mixed in a pool of fishy flesh and blood, was revealed in the slight light.

Shen Yu knelt curiously and picked the thing out of the pile of flesh and blood.

A golden key.

He turned the key in his hands, incidentally discovering that a name was lightly engraved on the back of the key.

Wu Jianyi.

His pupils shrank.

The “Master Wu” who’d renovated the entire apartment complex, the contact person on the missing person’s notice, the derailed man of the wife suffering under domestic violence… Was that the monster hidden in the elevator?

The three of them were still speculating that Wu Jianyi’s wife, Zhang Lili, had run away from home, but what if she had been secretly murdered?

But in the blink of an eye, the plot that was about to become clear suddenly began to be confusing again.

At this moment, the other people who were originally scattered in the apartment building finally rushed in, all out of breath, after hearing the noises in the lobby on the first floor.

Seeing the muddy puddle of flesh and blood in the elevator in front of them, many people vomited before they could speak.

Only the bald man, who was a veteran himself, narrowed his small eyes when he saw the scene in front of him.

“Ahem!” They heard his voice before seeing him. The administrator, who had never appeared very much, was now even crouching and in full view in front of everyone.

He stared at the pool of flesh and blood in the elevator, his muddy eyes moving, yet he was not angry. Instead, he pursed his shrivelled mouth, then smiled and said, “Okay, okay! You really caught one of the runaway pets… this little Beast!”

He stared at the people in the elevator again: “What about its things?” Seeing the unabashed greed in his eyes, Shen Yu’s heart jumped, and he instinctively felt that something was wrong.

So he moved his fingers and hid the golden key in his sleeve, then said innocently, “Isn’t the corpse here?” The administrator’s eyes suddenly sharpened: “No, more than that, what we want is…”

“What is it?” Shen Yu asked tit-for-tat.

The administrator suddenly got stuck, his face becoming gloomy as if he didn’t know what to say.
