The mermaid stopped at the junction of the beach and the ocean, a heavy, deep-sea scent rushing towards him. It stared silently at Zong Yuan, its gaze, akin to that of a beast, easily stirring a deep-rooted shiver within the human soul.
Zong Yuan’s scalp tingled, his mind going blank. What was this thing?
He took a step back, picking up a wooden stick from the ground that was still glowing with embers. “Mermaid?”
The mermaid stood still, the moonlight filtering through the dark clouds and illuminating its thick, seaweed-like curly hair, as well as its deep, ocean-like black pupils.
It focused intently on Zong Yuan and that malicious gaze swept over him again.
Zong Yuan harshly pinched his thigh to shift his gaze to its lower half.
A fish tail, a huge and powerful fish tail.
… A fish tail with scales.
Zong Yuan thought, What the hell!
His entire body went stiff. The mermaid was less than ten meters away from him. He took two more steps back, turning his face away in disgust, “Get back into the water!”
In reality, the hand holding the stick was starting to tremble slightly.
He wasn’t afraid of this creature, but he feared its fish tail.
The mermaid tilted its head slightly, letting out a low growl from its throat.
Zong Yuan’s mind went blank as an intense desire to step forward surged within him. Driven by this desire, he dropped the wooden stick and took a step closer to the mermaid.
“Zong Yuan!” 0046 shouted.
Zong Yuan was jolted awake, his reason returning in a rush. Only then did he realize he had approached the mermaid, closing the distance to less than a meter.
The smell of blood and seaweed assaulted his nose.
Zong Yuan felt a wave of nausea wash over him. He squeezed his eyes shut, his feet rigid and rooted in place. Even though it was dangerous, he didn’t have the energy to look at the mermaid again.
The mermaid’s features were deep and exquisite, a divine creation carefully nurtured by the sea. However, its long history of underwater battles had left it devoid of any tenderness or compassion, only filled with competition, aggression, and greedy desire.
Suddenly, the sea surged. In an instant, the water had already covered Zong Yuan’s feet.
His eyelids twitched, but he kept them tightly shut.
This is it; I’m going to die.
The mermaid glided toward Zong Yuan through the shallow water, its cold and ancient aura enveloping him. The feeling of being scrutinized by a beast made Zong Yuan’s skin crawl, goosebumps rising uncontrollably on his body.
With the length of its fish tail, the mermaid towered over Zong Yuan by at least a head. It lowered its head, and its thick curls fell from its shoulders, leaving a wet mark on Zong Yuan’s face.
It retracted its fierce claws and sharp teeth, looking at the human in the most harmless way, before letting out another growl.
Zong Yuan, unable to control himself, opened his eyes.
He stared directly into the mermaid’s pupils.
The mermaid’s face bore little trace of fish-like features, which made Zong Yuan exhale a slight sigh of relief and be the first to look away.
It was then that he understood one thing.
When facing a beast, one must never be the first to avert their gaze.
The mermaid extended a hand, covered in a layer of transparent film, and fiercely held his chin. Leaning down, it extended its cold, wicked tongue and licked Zong Yuan’s face inch by inch.
The taste of the ocean’s dominance lingered on him.
The scent of the deep sea intensified, and Zong Yuan felt as if he were submerged at the bottom of the ocean; the mermaid’s slippery hand felt like a wet fish brushing against him.
He was overwhelmed with a headache, biting down hard on his own tongue. As the metallic taste of blood flooded his mouth, he clenched his fist and swung it at the mermaid.
The mermaid took the blow solidly, but it was as ineffective as an ant shaking a tree.
It twitched its nose, catching the scent of blood from Zong Yuan, and seemed enraged. The sea surged violently, and in the next moment, Zong Yuan was roughly dragged underwater.
“Ahhhhh!!!” 0046 screamed.
The swift current scraped painfully against Zong Yuan’s cheek, and the mermaid’s tail thrashed, its fin brushing against him from time to time.
Zong Yuan thought, “… I feel like throwing up.”
He struggled against the mermaid’s grip, but its strength was terrifying. The surrounding water grew darker, and he couldn’t see any fish or shrimp. In such an environment, Zong Yuan almost thought he was developing a fear of the deep sea.
Suddenly, the mermaid stopped.
It turned around, embracing Zong Yuan, forcefully prying his mouth open. Accompanied by the seawater, its tongue slid into his mouth, delivering air and sucking on the blood from his tongue. The mermaid was enchanted by the taste of its first encounter with a human.
The deep-sea space was its territory and it indulged in what it liked, frantically sucking on the tongue of the human before it.
Unbeknownst to him, the fish tail wrapped around Zong Yuan, pressing him tightly against the mermaid’s body.
Forced to open his mouth, under the mermaid’s touch and the oppressive desolation of the deep sea, Zong Yuan slowly closed his eyes.
“???” 0046 exclaimed.
What the hell!!! In my lifetime!!! Brother Yuan fainted out of fear!!! Oh my god!!! Hahaha, screenshot, screenshot, hahaha!!!
The mermaid tilted its head in confusion, ignoring the human who was closing his eyes and focused solely on its own pleasure as it licked him.
“… Beast!!!” 0046 shouted.
When Zong Yuan woke up, he found himself lying on the beach next to the campfire.
The fire still flickered warmly and the sun was rising slightly on the horizon, illuminating half the sky.
Zong Yuan propped his head up. “Was it a dream?”
As he spoke, he touched his wounds, and a hiss escaped his lips.
It wasn’t a dream.
Zong Yuan’s expression darkened as he kicked the ground a few times. “Damn it! Where did that stupid mermaid come from? What the hell.”
His lips were slightly swollen, clearly having been licked.
0046 trembled, “Zong Yuan, I thought it was going to eat you last night.”
It had seemed poised to swallow him whole.
Zong Yuan had never felt so overpowered before. “I will definitely kill it!”
Damn!
One by one, the stranded companions began to wake up. They found Zong Yuan at the water’s edge, glaring at the surface of the sea with a stormy expression, the low pressure radiating from him palpable even from afar.
The man in the suit boldly approached. “Are you… are you okay?”
Zong Yuan said nothing.
The man in the suit attempted to pat Zong Yuan on the shoulder, but before he could, his expression changed abruptly. He walked toward the sea in a dazed, numb state, stepping deeper into the water with each stride.
The people around him looked at him strangely. “Hey, what are you doing?!”
Seeing his condition, Zong Yuan felt a sense of déjà vu. “What the hell!” He jumped up and grabbed the man, “Damn it, stop! Hey!”
No matter how loudly he shouted, the man in the suit continued to walk forward, determined to enter the sea.
Could it be that the mermaid had set its sights on him?
Zong Yuan followed a few steps, hoping to see if the mermaid would appear.
However, even as the water rose to the man’s chest, the mermaid still didn’t show up.
Suddenly, Zong Yuan understood: it didn’t want the man in the suit; it wanted to kill him!
He turned and yelled at the people on the shore, who were frozen in place, “Come and grab him!!!”
Realizing the urgency, the people on the shore hurried into the water, two men firmly grasping the suit-clad figure.
“Damn it,” Zong Yuan was extremely annoyed as he shouted at the calm surface of the sea, “You better show yourself!!!”
Nothing appeared and his companions looked at him with strange expressions.
Zong Yuan slammed his hand against the water’s surface, coldly demanding, “Come out, damn it.”
Still, there was no response and the man in the suit continued to struggle desperately to go deeper into the sea.
Zong Yuan took a deep breath. “I hate cowards who act tough but can’t back it up.”
With a loud splash, a small whirlpool suddenly appeared in the water not far away.
“What the hell!!!” His bewildered companions stepped back in panic. Was there really something there?!
The mermaid emerged alongside the whirlpool, its inhuman features laid bare in the sunlight.
It was a mermaid adorned with sharp scales and pointed bone spurs.
Its tail was a deep blue, darkening almost to black, shimmering with a metallic sheen under the sun. The absolute pressure emanating from its presence caused the humans around to involuntarily retreat in fear.
A m-mermaid!
In a fit of anger, Zong Yuan charged forward, completely ignoring the mermaid’s tail, and swung a fist at it. “Damn it!”
His companions dragged the now-motionless man in the suit backward, admiration swelling in their hearts for Zong Yuan.
What a man, an absolute man.
The mermaid grasped his hand, its abyss-like pupils fixating on him, while the spurs on its tail retracted, wrapping around his body once more.
Zong Yuan froze.
The heat of rage faded and the scales on the mermaid’s tail were so hard that he could feel their dense texture through his pants.
The mermaid, sensing his compliance, extended its tongue again, forcefully probing into his mouth.
Zong Yuan had no strength to push it away.
The problem with daytime was that he could clearly see its tail.
“!!!”
His companions, now back on the shore, were bewildered. “Wh-what’s going on!!!”
Was the mermaid eating Zong Yuan or kissing him?
The mermaid cupped his face, greedily licking every corner of his mouth, even trying to probe deeper into his throat. Zong Yuan felt uncomfortable, using all his strength to twist against the mermaid’s bare skin, but he couldn’t move!
… Damn it!
Time seemed to stretch on. Finally, the mermaid released him. It gazed deeply at Zong Yuan before turning and diving into the sea.
Zong Yuan stood in place for a while, his face dark, before climbing ashore under the hesitant gazes of his companions.
The man in the suit had fallen asleep, seemingly relieved from a crisis.
So, he had been forcibly kissed and then saved a person?
The mermaid, the mermaid…
He wanted to kill it!
The others approached hesitantly. “Zong Yuan, that thing was a mermaid?”
Zong Yuan scoffed coldly, “What else could it be?”
One lady asked curiously, “It was so beautiful; was it kissing you just now?”
With a gloomy expression, Zong Yuan felt utterly humiliated. “I’ll definitely kill it sooner or later.”
His killing intent caused the others to shudder a few times.
No one dared to speak. Zong Yuan took a moment to calm down. “Let’s go find something useful.”
He had barely taken two steps when a loud crash suddenly echoed from the surface of the sea.
He turned to look, his pupils contracting.
A line of dead giant octopuses and man-eating crabs, among other marine creatures, was laid out on the beach.
A single phrase flashed through everyone’s minds.
This was a gift from the mermaid.
Belonging to a man favored by the mermaid.
The author has something to say:
“He harmed himself without permission, so I decided to give him some punishment. And anyone who touches him must die.”
