QTEBS Chapter 67

Zhuang Feiyu(2)

Zhuang Feiyu casually walked a few steps towards Zong Yuan. The icy eyes hidden beneath his demeanor glanced lightly at Lin Bo’er’s face. “Miss Lin, what did you say?”

Lin Bo’er shivered all over. Her irrational mind suddenly became clear. With teary eyes, she explained in a low voice, “President Zhuang, it was my misunderstanding. I apologize to you. It’s all my fault…”

Her eyes, filled with the desire to cry, swept across Zong Yuan, appearing gentle and helpless. Zong Yuan didn’t notice her expression; he observed Zhuang Feiyu with a normal aesthetic sense, circled around him twice, and said, “Miss Lin, it indeed seems to be a misunderstanding. This gentleman doesn’t look like someone described as ‘overweight and with big ears.'”

Complimented again, Zhuang Feiyu paused, “Thank you.”

Lin Bo’er’s tone softened, “Dr. Zong, it’s my mistake to describe him incorrectly. To make amends, how about having dinner together tonight?”

Zong Yuan’s expression was strange, and Zhuang Feiyu slightly narrowed his long eyes. Zong Yuan was standing beside Zhuang Feiyu at the moment, clearly observing that this man was not benevolently appraising Lin Bo’er. Zong Yuan reminded her, “Miss Lin, the one you should make amends to is Mr. Zhuang.”

Lin Bo’er smiled shyly, “President Zhuang is a busy person; I’m sorry for bothering.”

Guan Haoyu shivered, watching Zhuang Feiyu slowly reveal a smile. He had an intuition that this woman was in for a severe reprimand.

Zhuang Feiyu, however, didn’t waste many words. After giving Lin Bo’er a deep look, he shifted his gaze to Zong Yuan. “Dr. Zong, what’s your relationship with her?”

Before Zong Yuan could speak, Guan Haoyu hurriedly explained, “They obviously have no relationship! Zhuang-ge, there’s no such thing as collective punishment nowadays!”

Zong Yuan raised an eyebrow, “Collective punishment?”

Was he implying that even he was angered?

Zhuang Feiyu frowned slightly. He directed his words at Guan Haoyu, “Shut up.”

Guan Haoyu obediently closed his mouth, but his eyes still betrayed anxiety. Zhuang Feiyu, repeatedly bothered by these matters, pursed his thin lips. It was more of a command than a request, “Since my friend is under your treatment, Dr. Zong, come with me to observe him for a few days.”

His business card clearly displayed his identity, and Zong Yuan finally knew who he was. He deliberately elongated his tone to feign surprise, “So you’re the big boss.”

It was quite nice to be able to leave this strangely atmospheric hospital. Zong Yuan put away the business card and dutifully asked, “When and where should I find you?”

Zhuang Feiyu, looking at Lin Bo’er’s displeased face, smirked, “Right now.”

Zong Yuan watched as his mood visibly improved. Unable to suppress a chuckle, he found it amusing how this man harbored a childish sense of retaliation.

Zhuang Feiyu openly walked out of the hospital with a doctor and a patient, surrounded by the onlookers of Lin Bo’er and some medical staff.

Guan Haoyu walked behind Zong Yuan and Zhuang Feiyu. Zong Yuan originally intended to assist the patient out of a sense of duty, but before he could say a word to the patient, Guan Haoyu’s face turned red, and his breathing became rapid. Zhuang Feiyu’s voice turned cold, “Guan Haoyu, how else do you want to pretend? Do I need to remind you again? You have a leg injury, not a cold.”

Guan Haoyu: Damn, why is my face turning red with excitement…

Guan Haoyu awkwardly scratched his head, stammering to reject Zong Yuan, “N-nothing’s wrong.”

So, Zong Yuan walked side by side with Zhuang Feiyu in front. Zhuang Feiyu’s car was parked not far away—a shiny black sedan reflecting the sunlight. It was the latest limited edition showcased in a recent issue of “BIRDE Magazine.” Zong Yuan liked its sleek design. “Nice car.”

Today, Zhuang Feiyu has already been praised three times by him. Looking at his car, Zhuang Feiyu asked, “Do you like it?”

Zong Yuan nodded, “It’s pretty good.”

Zhuang Feiyu also nodded casually, and said nonchalantly, “Then it’s yours.”

Zong Yuan halted his steps. He glanced at Zhuang Feiyu, whose expression was indifferent as if he had just mentioned that the weather was nice. Zong Yuan looked at Guan Haoyu and asked, “Is Mr. Zhuang always like this?”

Guan Haoyu nodded with a mixed expression of sympathy.

Zhuang Feiyu was never a generous person. He always had a way of offering greater benefits to make people grateful. In other words, the current Zhuang Feiyu believed that he could gain more significant benefits from Zong Yuan than from giving him this car.

Zong Yuan declined, “No need. I prefer the motorcycle series compared to this sedan.”

Zhuang Feiyu pondered.

Just as the three of them got into the car, they saw a well-dressed lady coming down from a car and heading straight to the hospital. Zong Yuan’s expression changed slightly, “Mr. Zhuang, let’s go.”

Zhuang Feiyu withdrew his gaze from Miss Wang, “Alright.”

In less than three minutes, Zong Yuan’s phone started vibrating. After checking the number, he blocked it and explained with a smile, “The current fraud groups are becoming increasingly audacious.”

As soon as he finished speaking, Zhuang Feiyu’s phone started ringing again. Zhuang Feiyu glanced at the caller ID, then blocked the number as well, saying with a sigh, “These fraud groups are indeed becoming more rampant.”

Zhuang Feiyu’s house was located in an exclusive villa area in City A, where every inch of land was valuable. The area had extensive greenery planning, with a large artificial lake and gardens nearby. The distance between each villa was enough to not hear any noise from the neighbors.

While Zhuang Feiyu’s villa was bustling with people continuously entering and exiting, setting up for a party, Guan Haoyu cheered, “Oh! Zhuang-ge, your secretary is still so efficient.”

The secretary was waiting outside and jogged over to report to Zhuang Feiyu, “Boss, Young Master Guan didn’t make it clear earlier. Do you think this arrangement is feasible?”

Zong Yuan, with keen eyes, observed everything clearly, giving a meaningful look at the unassuming Zhuang Feiyu, “A pool party.”

Zhuang Feiyu stared at Guan Haoyu for a good fifteen seconds. His gaze was so cold that Guan Haoyu was about to cry before Zhuang Feiyu shifted his eyes. He warned the secretary, “No next time.”

The secretary wore a bitter expression, regretting trusting Young Master Guan, “Yes.”

Since the setup was almost complete and Guan Haoyu had called quite a few people to accompany them, Zhuang Feiyu had to save face. Zong Yuan wasn’t very interested. He took off his white coat and draped it over his forearm, “So, am I off duty now?”

Zhuang Feiyu checked his wristwatch, “What time do you usually get off, Dr. Zong?”

Zong Yuan replied, “Five o’clock.”

With half an hour left, Zhuang Feiyu decisively took the coat off him, “Since it’s for observation, it’s best to have you around 24/7. Don’t worry about overtime pay. How does that sound to you, Dr. Zong?”

“If the big boss says so,” Zong Yuan responded, “I’m fine with it.”

The secretary, standing next to Guan Haoyu, glanced at Zong Yuan with a seemingly casual look, “Young Master Guan, where did you and the boss meet such a handsome guy?”

Zong Yuan happened to flash a smile in Zhuang Feiyu’s direction, looking incredibly handsome. The secretary blushed profusely, and Guan Haoyu scratched his head, “Zhuang-ge met him at the hospital. He’ll be taking care of me for these days.”

The secretary sighed, “Indeed, handsome guys have handsome friends.”

The party started at seven o’clock, but both Zhuang Feiyu and Zong Yuan were not fans of crowds. They stood on the balcony overlooking the night view. In contrast, Guan Haoyu, determined to join the fun, even if he couldn’t get in the water, changed into swim trunks.

The first floor was lively, with beautiful young men and women frolicking in the water to the beat of the music. Zhuang Feiyu sipped red wine, “Dr. Zong, won’t you join the fun downstairs?”

Zong Yuan lazily observed the people below, “As one age, they tend to become less inclined to move around.”

“Old?” Zhuang Feiyu chuckled, “When I was as young as Dr. Zong, I was much more energetic than him.”

Zong Yuan instinctively retorted, “Then I’ll wait until I have as much vitality as Mr. Zhuang when I reach his age.”

Zhuang Feiyu’s smile faded, “Do I look lifeless?”

“You can also call it stability and rationality.”

“Tsk,” Zhuang Feiyu loosened the tie around his neck. The music downstairs changed to an exhilarating DJ dance track. Zhuang Feiyu’s mind heated up, “How about we go down and compete?”

“Now?” Zong Yuan’s expression was complex.

Initially, Zhuang Feiyu regretted blurting it out, but seeing Zong Yuan’s slight reluctance made him more determined. He grabbed Zong Yuan’s arm and decisively pulled him into the room, “Dr. Zong, not scared, are you?”

Zong Yuan tried to reason with him, openly stating his reason, “I don’t have swim trunks.”

Zhuang Feiyu squatted in front of the wardrobe and pulled out a brand new pair of underwear, “This one is brand new.”

After just half a day of interaction, Zong Yuan had a rough understanding of Zhuang Feiyu’s personality. He was clearly a decisive leader who seldom changed his mind once a decision was made. Zong Yuan no longer refused, but he added, “Mr. Zhuang, this size is too small.”

Zhuang Feiyu’s expression stiffened, “Dr. Zong, don’t talk big.”

Zhuang Feiyu had a tall stature, and that particular area was naturally impressive. He had never imagined a day when someone would say his underwear size was too small. More importantly, Dr. Zong didn’t seem much more robust than him.

With these thoughts in mind, Zhuang Feiyu’s gaze unintentionally drifted toward Zong Yuan’s lower region.

High-quality pants could only reveal a certain prominence, offering no insight into the actual size.

There was really no apparent sign of anything larger than his.

Zong Yuan, seeing Zhuang Feiyu’s clearly skeptical expression, asked, “Mr. Zhuang, do you not believe it?”

“Of course not,” Zhuang Feiyu didn’t believe it, understanding that young people often had pride in this aspect. He didn’t expose Zong Yuan’s lie but handed him the largest pair of swim trunks, thinking, “This should work.”

Hopefully, they wouldn’t be so big that they fall off.

Zong Yuan frowned and sighed, “It’ll do, I guess.”

He went back to his room to change.

Zhuang Feiyu, who always emphasized fitness, had a tall and graceful figure that wore suits with elegance. His lean abdomen, devoid of any excess fat, made the portly CEO appear like an accompaniment. Just as Zhuang Feiyu finished changing into his swimsuit, he heard a knock on the door.

Casually, he opened the door, “You—”

His words came to a sudden halt the moment he saw Zong Yuan.

Oh, so it’s actually not small.

Well then…

…I lost.

Author’s note:

Boss Zhuang(with a poker face): Young people always love joking.

Later,

Boss Zhuang: Heavens, my man’s pride.
