QTEBS Chapter 76

Chi Xu(3)

Relative to Europeans, Asians are of short stature and slim build. Chi Xu, however, has a slender figure and is considered outstanding among Asians. He lacks prominent muscle groups, and after shattering a cup like this, many curious and enthusiastic young people instantly surrounded him.

Zong Yuan watched the black-haired, black-eyed man being engulfed by the crowd, the middle-aged man beside him at a loss, “What’s going on? Should we go and take a look?”

Zong Yuan patted his shoulder, “I have some urgent matters. Goodbye, my friend.”

He left the crowd behind, a dark, small eavesdropping device between his fingers. He tossed it up and caught it, finally flicking it into the vast and boundless sea. The petite eavesdropping device, no larger than a few grains of rice, sank into the endless ocean.

The noisy voices were piercing. Chi Xu removed his earphones, glared at the annoying figure of the mission target through the crowd, and fiercely glanced at the surrounding group, “Scram.”

With anger, he rushed forward to kill.

Unable to bear it any longer, regardless of whether it would cause a commotion, he had to kill him now! Kill him! Kill him!!!

Zong Yuan had just passed through the restaurant when 0046 said, “Hey, hurry up! Someone is chasing after you.”

Zong Yuan casually took a plate of neatly cut fruits, “Let him come.”

However, when Chi Xu reached the restaurant, he couldn’t see Zong Yuan’s figure anymore, “Damn.”

He stared at the large room of the rest area and the winding corridors, unwillingly sending a message to Zong Yuan, “Coward.”

The response came quickly, “I just don’t want to shatter your confidence again. Since you say so, to prove that I’m not a coward, I reluctantly wait for you in the room. You probably don’t need me to tell you the room number, right?”

Damn.

Chi Xu turned around, a gun in hand; oh, it wasn’t enough to vent his frustration.

The onboard banquet started at 7 p.m., and Zong Yuan attended on time, knowing it wasn’t a formal dinner. He casually dressed in leisurewear.

The hall indeed had many beauties. The ship’s band played cheerful songs, and on both sides, there were abundant drinks and food, many of which had the local culinary specialties. Men gathered in groups, smoking and drinking, occasionally casting their eyes on passing pretty girls, accompanied by bursts of laughter and whistling.

The middle-aged man he met at noon was among this group. He was the first to see Zong Yuan come in and enthusiastically ran over, “Good evening, sir! We meet again! Hello, I’m Daniel Jimmy. Can we be friends?”

Zong Yuan shook his hand, “Of course, you can call me Zong.”

Daniel was a warm-hearted person, or in other words, he was a chatterbox. He talked with Zong Yuan all the way, finally feeling a bit guilty, “Sorry, my friend. Our first conversation at noon was the result of me accepting a tip.”

Zong Yuan pretended to be surprised, “Really?”

Daniel scratched his head, a sly and gossipy look on his chubby face, “But in my opinion, asking me to make you notice that gentleman during lunch must mean he’s interested in you, Zong. If you feel the same way, then I must say, I’m impressive!”

“That gentleman is handsome too. If you don’t have a companion, a one-night stand sounds incredibly romantic.”

Zong Yuan picked out a few items from the food as he spoke, “Daniel, you’re really lucky there isn’t a second small thing on you.”

Otherwise, you would be in big trouble.

Daniel asked in confusion, “What thing?”

The music suddenly turned into a dance, and couples in the crowd began to dance with each other. The dance floor was crowded, colorful skirts fluttering. Daniel envied the men dancing with beautiful girls, and in the corner of his eye, he saw the crowd standing on the second-floor railing. He excitedly called Zong Yuan, who was being invited to dance by a lady, “Zong, look at the second floor!”

Zong Yuan looked up, and the next second, his gaze met a pair of eyes brimming with killing intent.

His eyesight was excellent, and this time he clearly saw the appearance of the assassin. The features were remarkably beautiful, but combined on one face, they didn’t stand out as stunning. Though handsome, the assassin’s aura wasn’t as impressive as his own.

What was rare was a teardrop mole at the corner of his left eye. Looking down at Zong Yuan from a high vantage point, that teardrop mole gleamed, captivating the beholder.

This appearance, in the eyes of any discerning person, was one that, once seen, would be forgotten.

However, Zong Yuan felt as if feathers had lightly brushed across his heart. He felt a stir within and slowly waved his hand towards him.

The smile on the mission target’s lips seemed mocking, and the arc of his right hand’s movement was provocative. Anger surged in Chi Xu’s heart. He smirked coldly and raised his middle finger in a gesture of disdain, “Fuck you.”

He turned and went downstairs, intending to teach him a lesson quietly.

Zong Yuan restrained his smile, his gaze locked onto that spot for three seconds. Daniel stood beside him, afraid to speak, feeling that this new friend was unexpectedly dangerous now.

It felt like they were on the edge of an eruption.

Who knew that in the next second, Zong Yuan would put on a smile again and agree to the lady’s invitation. The two of them entered the dance floor hand in hand. By the time Chi Xu descended to the first floor, Zong Yuan had already blended into the central crowd.

He patted the gun at his waist and walked boldly to a lone lady, “Beautiful miss, care to dance together?”

The lady blinked, pleasantly surprised, “Of course.”

Chi Xu and his dance partner approached Zong Yuan from the edge. The lady in front of Chi Xu had been sending flirtatious glances, but Chi Xu was oblivious.

Zong Yuan had long noticed him gradually approaching. When Chi Xu finally broke through to his side, Zong Yuan suddenly tossed his dance partner away, making a gesture for a change of dance partners. Chi Xu was pulled into a large circle, and by now, he was dancing with Zong Yuan, cursing, “Damn!”

Zong Yuan’s right hand firmly pressed against his waist, controlling the gun in his palm. With a polite tone, he said, “Darling, you shouldn’t use foul language.”

Chi Xu’s eyes, dark and gleaming, stared at him, “Do you think I wouldn’t dare to kill you here?”

“Of course, you would,” Zong Yuan said, twirling him around. The renowned assassin was now dancing the female steps, “But this way, can you still consider yourself a successful assassin?”

The hand Chi Xu had on Zong Yuan’s shoulder slowly approached Zong Yuan’s neck and successfully grabbed it. People around murmured in concern, looking at Zong Yuan, “Do you need help?”

Zong Yuan’s hand, in the curious gaze of onlookers, calmly rubbed the well-defined muscles of the assassin’s waist. “No need to worry; we’re just having some fun,” he said, not satisfied. He lowered his head, looking at the stiff assassin in his arms, “Darling, isn’t that right?”

Two men dancing naturally attracted attention. Chi Xu let go of Zong Yuan, his mind repeatedly flashing with “seducing tactic, seducing tactic, seducing tactic… damn it!” He lifted his foot without reservation and kicked toward Zong Yuan’s groin, “I’ll make you explode, you, hooligan!”

It was a close call. Zong Yuan stepped back just in time!

Chi Xu’s kicking foot landed heavily on the ground, making the floor shake a few times!

The men present, holding their private parts in fear, retreated several meters in terror.

So terrifying, damn it!

Zong Yuan wiped the cold sweat from his forehead and explained to the people around, who were giving him strange looks, “This is also… just for fun?”

Chi Xu, who had no idea what he had just narrowly avoided, sneered, “Yes, for fun, dear. Otherwise, shall I kick again?”

He looked at Zong Yuan’s groin, showing signs of wanting to torment this man.

Biding his time while Chi Xu was distracted, Zong Yuan swiftly stepped forward, lifting and carrying the man’s bent leg. He nodded hastily at the onlookers, using brute force to carry this over 130-pound adult man out of the hall.

The remaining people stared at each other. Daniel sighed, “Zong is truly a hero.”

“Oh my goodness, do you know that couple? It’s so scary! If that kick had landed, the person would be in the hospital by now. Is that still considered fun?”

“Fortunately, my dear is always gentle and considerate.”

“That gentleman… he couldn’t have already… had enough, right?”

Zong “almost-Erectile Dysfunction” Yuan put the man down as soon as they left. Chi Xu struggled so hard that if his body strength weren’t extraordinary, he would have been beaten to the point of spitting blood by now.

The moment Chi Xu was released, he immediately reached for his gun, “Where’s my gun?!”

Zong Yuan spun around holding Chi Xu’s weapon, “Here.”

Chi Xu rolled up his sleeves, watching Zong Yuan’s movements vigilantly, searching for an opportunity to pounce.

He was like a calm and composed leopard, ready to deliver a lethal blow at the first chance.

Zong Yuan threw the handgun to the left, and after it slid for a while, a sound indicating it hit something echoed. Zong Yuan raised his hands slightly, “Right now, I have nothing. How about we call it a day?”

Chi Xu displayed a peculiar expression, staring at Zong Yuan as he crouched down, pulling out another compact black handgun from his leg.

“…” Zong Yuan, “Damn it.”

The next second, he dashed towards the location where he had thrown the gun. In the darkness and with his speed, Chi Xu had just loaded the gun when he lost the best opportunity.

Chi Xu aimed into the darkness, finger on the trigger, not rushing to fire. He cautiously moved forward step by step, ears perked up to any sound.

Silence, absolute silence.

Chi Xu reached a pile of cargo and unexpectedly saw the handgun on the ground. He kicked it up with his foot, “Hey, you damn hooligan!”

Damn, no one there!

Chi Xu cursed several times and, with a dark expression, returned to the previous hall. He found the chubby guy he had talked to before, interrogating him with a fierce demeanor, “Tell me which room is his! Speak!”

Daniel was trembling, pointing to the crew gathered behind him, “You, you can go ask them. They must know…”

0046 reminded Zong Yuan, “Zong Yuan, he’s gone!”

“I know,” Zong Yuan, behind a pile of cargo, sighed, “Who taught him to carry two guns? Can’t we play together anymore?”

0046 grumbled, “It might not be two.”

With a resigned expression, Zong Yuan, along with 0046, prepared to return to his room. However, just as they were about to reach the door, he halted his steps. He looked at the slightly wrinkled carpet under his room door and instructed 0046 to find the room of the assassin.

There was an additional note on his own room door, whether it was full of gentlemanly charm or a hint of cheekiness, it had a sentence written on it: “Goodnight, darling. Hope you can come find me when you’re lonely tonight. —Zong Yuan.”

They had just played the game of “tit for tat,” and now he was switching rooms for the night.

Thrilling.

After standing alert behind the door for nearly two hours, Chi Xu only heard a knock when someone was finally at the door. His body was tense, and the bullets in his hand were ready. A female voice sounded from outside, “Hello, sir. There’s a note on your door. Do you want to discard it?”

Chi Xu was momentarily stunned. After putting away his handgun, he opened the door. The cleaning staff politely stood in the corridor, smiling at him. He tore off the note from the door.

The more he looked, the more embarrassed his expression became. Grinding his teeth, he wished he could dismember that man immediately, “Zong—Yuan—”

If he couldn’t kill that man; he should just quit the game and go home to farm!!!

The author has something to say:

Chi Xu, holding a crew member by the collar, asked, “Which room is he in?!”

The crew member trembled, “I can’t disclose passenger information…”

“Damn it,” Chi Xu grinned ferociously, “I’ve already started playing ‘fun and games’ with him. Open the door for me!”

Also, what Zong Yuan did, throwing a listening device into the sea, is not right [stern tone]. We must take care of the environment!
