TSINW3 Chapter 1

“This Miserable and Delicate Young Man” -- Such a Bad Temper-- 1/12

Chapter 001 – Such a Bad Temper

“Li Xuyang, in the end, it was a good fight. I don’t want to force this to the limit. Take this bank card, and don’t show up in front of me from now on.”

The young man was dragged to the door and shoved out after having a card stuffed in his hand.

He stumbled a bit before he could stabilize himself.

The storm was still raging outside. Within moments, he was soaked to the skin.

Xie Chenyang hunkered down and made his way to the neighboring ledge to try and hide from the rain while he huddled into a ball. “So, System, what was it you said you wanted me to do?”

System: “Don’t reward the scum with mercy, don’t forgive him. Take back what was rightfully yours, and if you can, let the scum obtain his karmic retribution.”

Xie Chenyang squatted in the corner. “That’s it?”

System: “That’s it.”

Xie Chenyang grinned in satisfaction. For such a simple task, he could accomplish it with his eyes closed. “System, ah, thank you for giving me a new life. Rest assured, I will certainly make your results skyrocket and raise your rank.”

System: “I thank you, but you’d better find a place to hide from the rain first. This rain won’t stop tonight, and if you stay here any longer, I’m afraid you won’t live to see the fulfillment of your mission.”

Xie Chenyang: “I also want to ah, but in this villa area you can’t get a taxi. When I step out, I’m afraid I’ll be knocked silly by this downpour… Let’s wait for the rain to lighten up a bit for now.”

It was good enough to block out most of the rain by huddling here, wasn’t it? There was the sound of a car that the storm made less noticeable, and Xie Chenyang squinted as the bright headlights shone over him.

– Within the car —

“Mr. Zhai, a man is squatting next to your front gate.” The driver glanced at the rearview mirror and whispered, “Should I go shoo him away?”

Zhai Zhi sat in the backseat and looked through the windshield.

The youth squatting in his gateway was blinded by the headlights and rubbing his eyes.

It was difficult for Zhai Zhi to see his appearance given the heavy rain.

Zhai Zhi indifferently sighed. “Send him an umbrella.”

“Yes, Mr. Zhai.”

The driver got out of the car with two umbrellas, one opened up and the other in his hand, and walked straight towards Xie Chenyang.

Xie Chenyang rose to his feet, bright and shining. Though he should have been in miserable shape, he took the offered umbrella with a smile, his half-squinted eyes containing warmth. “Thank you ah. Can I by any chance ask to borrow a bed for the night?”

Driver: “…” This guy sure has thick skin.

He refused. “My boss giving you an umbrella is already a kindness from his heart. It would be better for you to leave as soon as possible, mister.”

Xie Chenyang nodded before lifting the umbrella and walking towards the car, knocking on the rear passenger window.

The driver hurriedly chased after him. “Hey, mister-“

The window rolled down a crack and Zhai Zhi stared at him with a cold and impatient face.

Xie Chenyang just happened to be standing in a way that blocked the wind and rain, so that no one got a faceful of storm.

He slowly smiled. “This fine gentleman, if you’re a true benefactor, why don’t you lend me a place to stay? I’ll leave as soon as the rain stops.”

Zhai Zhi’s eyes were indifferent as he thought, ‘This fellow is dreaming.’ But his words of refusal were somehow silenced when he saw those passionate and charming eyes of the stranger. His fingers curled up slightly, his face growing increasingly cold. “Get in the car.”

“Thanks, buddy.” Xie Chenyang twitched the corner of his lips and nonchalantly  opened the car door to enter.

Zhai Zhi managed to withdraw in time, but he was still slightly dampened.

His brows furrowed and his jaw tightened.

Xie Chenyang didn’t notice as he watched the driver get back in the car and start driving with a bewildered look on his face, letting out a relieved laugh. “It’s a good thing I met you, otherwise I’m afraid I’d be caught in the rain all night, and it’s quite miserable just thinking about it.”

Such a familiar attitude.

Zhai Zhi glanced at him secretly, searching the memories in his mind, finally connecting the young man in front of him with the teenager he had once met.

That must be why he agreed to his request after seeing his eyes just now.

Because they looked familiar.

After all, it wasn’t a good idea to just leave him like that since they had known each other for a while.

When the car parked outside the door, Xie Chenyang followed Zhai Zhi through the door, shivering.

Zhai Zhi turned on the lights and saw a puddle of water on the rug due to Xie Chenyang. He couldn’t help but wrinkle his brows again. In the end, he held back.

He took off his jacket and draped it over his arm as he headed upstairs.

Xie Chenyang had the good sense not to follow him. Squatting down, he wrung out the water from his clothes.

“Come upstairs.” Xie Chenyang raised his eyes and saw Zhai Zhi standing at the top of the stairs, holding a folded robe. “No need to wring your clothes. Go to the guest room and take a shower.”

“Okay.” Xie Chenyang flashed a smile and marched up the stairs, still very much dripping wet.

Zhai Zhi reached out and offered him the robe. Xie Chenyang spread open his hands. “As soon as I take it, the robe will get dirty. If you don’t mind, could you help me carry it to the guest room?”

Zhai Zhi: “…”

He coldly carried the robe and led him into one of his guest rooms. Turning on the light, he put the robe on the bed. “The auntie cleans regularly, and the daily necessities are all new. Tonight you can stay here.”

“Thanks, bro.”

“…” Zhai Zhi took a deep breath and retired to his room with a strained expression.

Who is your brother?

~~~~~~~
Xie Chenyang dashed into the bathroom as soon as the man left, quickly turning on the shower and stripping off his wet clothes. It wasn’t until the hot water soaked his body that he felt revived.
“Refreshing.”
System: “…”
Xie Chenyang was singing off-key while enjoying the hot shower, his mind was focused on the original plot.
The original owner of this body was named Li Xuyang, a son of a wealthy family. The Li family had an entertainment group that was considered one of the best in the industry.
Li Xuyang was born into luxury and never lacked anything. He had an older brother who could solve anything, and his parents were both smart and capable. He was the youngest child and his family spoiled him.
Being raised with love, Li Xuyang was somewhat delicate but not arrogant or domineering, and neither was he a playboy. Just a little more finicky and simple.
When he was in college, he met Cen He, and from then on, there was no escape.
Cen He’s life was tragic yet inspirational.
He was the only child in his family, but his parents died when he was in junior high school. He had no relatives to take him in. He studied hard and finished high school, then using scholarships and subsidies from his teachers, was admitted to university.
His days were spent either working part-time or studying, and he never slacked off.
He also had a warm and friendly face, like a sunflower that grew in spite of adversity.
Li Xuyang thought that Cen He truly loved him. After they got together, Cen He didn’t use his money, nor did he ask him for any benefits. Instead of using his money and taking any favors through him, after they got together, Cen He would also bring the hard-earned money from his part-time job to buy him gifts and take him on dates.
Although they were ordinary things, Li Xuyang felt deeply cherished.
Li Xuyang was not a person who could hide things. He quickly took the initiative to tell his family about him and Cen He.
Although the Li family spoiled him, they wouldn’t let him fool around.
It was just that Cen He was actually different from what they expected.
The Cen He they investigated had a resolute character, was undaunted by hardships, and even in the face of adversity, he never lowered himself or gave up–instead his spirit reached for the light.
He had excellent grades and a great personality.
He even treated Li Xuyang exceptionally well.
Under these circumstances, seeing that Li Xuyang really loved Cen He, the loving Li family did not discourage them in the end.
On the contrary, they secretly gave them help.
They knew if they were to give away things directly, Li Xuyang would not want any of it.
Later after they got married, for the sake of Li Xuyang,  Cen He joined Feiyang Entertainment.
He had always been a fast learner, and with the help of Big Brother Li, he quickly mastered the work and slowly rose through the ranks.
Then later on, while on their way to an important meeting together, Father Li and Big Brother Li were hit by a van and died on the scene. The driver of the van was fatigued and fled after the accident, where he accidentally fell into the river and died in his attempt to run away.
Li Xuyang was overwhelmed with grief.
Mother Li was also in a state of shock from excessive grief, and accidentally fell off a building and died.
Within a short span of time, only Li Xuyang was left in the entire Li family.
Cen He wholeheartedly took care of him, comforted him, helped him organize the funeral, and took over Feiyang Entertainment. He was so busy that he lost a bunch of weight.
Everyone praised him for being affectionate and loyal.
It was just one of those stories.
No one knew that in the beginning, he had deliberately approached Li Xuyang.
The deaths of Father Li and Big Brother Li, as well as Mother Li, were all indirectly instigated by him.
He didn’t make any direct moves, but without his nudging, without his secret guidance, it wouldn’t have happened to this extent.
He cited the fact that the shareholders did not submit to his discipline as a reason to coax Li Xuyang to transfer all the shares to him.
When he was able to secure the position of chairman of the board of directors and secretly tricked Li Xuyang into signing the paperwork for transferring various properties, Cen He revealed his true colors.
He directly told Li Xuyang about everything he had done. “Do you know why my parents died when I was in middle school? It was all because of your Li family. I’m already being merciful by leaving you alive.”
Li Xuyang, who had always been warmly nurtured and had never experienced the world’s difficulties, nearly collapsed.
He tried to tell everyone what kind of person Cen He really was.
But no one believed him.
Cen He had a distraught look on his face and claimed that he was mentally unstable due to the overwhelming shock.
Everyone believed it.
After all, Cen He deeply loved Li Xuyang and it was obvious to anyone.
Cen He sent Li Xuyang to a sanatorium.
Cen He played the persona of someone deeply in love, and when he was advised to find himself another partner, he refused every single one of them, saying that he couldn’t wrong Li Xuyang.
Even though Li Xuyang became delirious.
In reality, secretly, Cen He didn’t know how many lovers he had and how many illegitimate children he fathered.
And the story didn’t end there.
Li Xuyang was in the sanatorium, blaming himself and regretting every day.
He looked for opportunities to try to end his life but was stopped by the nurses.
Cen He came to the hospital to see him.
Upon seeing the tortured Li Xuyang, who had lost a huge amount of weight, Cen He suddenly reminisced about the years they had spent together.
He suddenly realized that, in fact, he was actually genuinely in love with Li Xuyang throughout these years.
That was why he couldn’t bear to take revenge on him, even left him alive, and maintained their marriage.
Even when other women gave Cen He children, he never thought of changing his marriage.
Because the other person on his wedding certificate could only be Li Xuyang.
With things coming to this point, he felt that it was enough.
Three lives of the Li family for the two lives of his parents, which was not a loss.
His beloved should be tender and delicate, not looking as if his soul was lost.
He took Li Xuyang back home and, patiently and gently, gradually warmed Li Xuyang’s heart riddled with holes, using a lifetime of love in exchange for the harm that he had done to him.
Xie Chenyang turned off the shower; his irritable fist hit the wall. His eyebrows furrowed with aggression, his lips slightly flared in a snarl. “I am going to fucking kill him!”
System: “…Host, please calm down.”
“What’s with all this fucking nonsense?” Xie Chenyang brushed the water drops off his face. “They’ve both had their families and lives destroyed and what about that big grudge? How could they even be together? Love each other for life? Holy hell, I’m so angry.”
He wrapped his robe around his body, ta-da-da-da-da’d downstairs to the kitchen and picked up a kitchen knife.
The system was alarmed. “Host, what are you doing!”
“Screw that bastard!”
