TSINW3 Chapter 7

“This Miserable and Delicate Young Man” -- Hello brother, I’m bored. -- 7/12

Chapter 007 – Hello brother, I’m bored.

With a smile on his face, Cen He opened his arms to try to welcome him.

Xie Chenyang, who had taken large strides to face him, straightforwardly raised his leg and kicked him in the chest.

Cen He staggered back a few steps as a sharp pain came from his chest and he sucked in a breath of cool air. “You–”

Xie Chenyang kicked him again, knocking him down to the ground, and said scathingly, “I told you, if I ever find you in my presence again, I’ll beat you up every time I see you!”

Zhai Zhi’s heart was in a state of flux; he walked over and gently hugged him. “Alright, don’t dirty your feet over a piece of trash.” After saying that, he stepped on Cen He hard.

Cen He cried out in pain. “Fuck you1The character for ‘grass/艹’ is internet slang for ‘Fuck’. This is to get past the censorship laws! — 我 艹 你 — 我 wǒ I; me; my 艹 cǎo grass radical 草字頭兒|草字头儿[cao3 zi4 tou2 r5] 你 nǐ you (informal, as opposed to courteous 您[nin2])…”

Zhai Zhi gave another heavy stomp, and with his arm draped loosely around Xie Chenyang, they headed for the door.

System: “Wait, there’s a spying device in the vase next to the TV cabinet.”

Xie Chenyang’s footsteps slowed, walked over, and took out the miniature camera from the vase. Turning back towards the incredulous Cen He, he flashed a mocking smile and strutted out the door.

Zhai Zhi followed behind with a light smile. The fact that Xie Chenyang would strike at Cen He was something he hadn’t expected. The moment Xie Chenyang had walked over, he had thought that he’d forgiven that piece of trash Cen He. Fortunately, he didn’t disappoint him.

—–

Back at Zhai Zhi’s villa, Xie Chenyang threw the monitor on the ground and stomped on it. Zhai Zhi was in a happy mood as he poured him a cup of herbal tea. “Come, have a drink. It’ll take the edge off.”

Xie Chenyang sat on the sofa, drank a cup, and smacked his lips. “It’s quite delicious. I’ll have another cup.”

Zhai Zhi poured him another cup and asked, “When are you getting divorced?”

“Eh? Not divorcing yet.”

Zhai Zhi’s face went cold as he swiped the herbal tea out of Xie Chenyang’s hand. Zhai Zhi slightly tilted his head and took a sip as he held Xie Chenyang’s cup; his grip tightened. “It’s already at this point, you still can’t bring yourself to get divorced?”

Xie Chenyang saw the strength of his grip. If Zhai Zhi continued to squeeze the cup that hard, it would break, and his hand would be ruined. He reached out and grasped Zhai Zhi’s wrist, taking the cup away from him, and scolded, “What are you doing? This is your home, if you want to drink it, I won’t stop you. Why are you gripping it so tightly? Don’t you want your hand anymore?”

Zhai Zhi: “…” After telling me that you’re not getting divorced, you’re now talking to me about this? Who the hell would want to drink now?

He drank the herbal tea purely to suppress the fire in his heart, lest he be unable to hold himself back and directly do2😉🌶️🌶️ this little fool, then press him to get a divorce! Zhai Zhi’s face gradually turned suspicious. Something was not right ah.

Why did this little idiot act like he’s never been in love? Was he really naive or just pretending to be? Couldn’t he see that he was jealous? Was he not being obvious enough?

When Xie Chenyang saw that Zhai Zhi looked like he’d been scolded to the point of grievance, his heart melted.“Okay, you’re a bit grouchy. I’ll go and pour you a new cup.”

Zhai Zhi: “…” Don’t be angry. Do not get angry.

Xie Chenyang then drank the remaining tea and finished it in one gulp before going to the refrigerator and pouring another cup for Zhai Zhi.

Zhai Zhi was silent as he pulled out a cigarette and lit it.

Xie Chenyang set the herbal tea in front of Zhai Zhi and sat next to him with curiosity. “Is smoking comfortable?”

Zhai Zhi glanced at him coolly. “Want to try?”

Xie Chenyang came up close to him, sniffed the faint smell of tobacco, then slumped back onto the sofa and waved his hand. “Not trying.”

Zhai Zhi took a drag on the cigarette, recalling when they were next door and the two kicks that Xie Chenyang gave Cen He. It seemed there were no lingering feelings. He relaxed a bit. “Why don’t you want to get a divorce?”

Although this was what the original owner had done, in the eyes of outsiders, it was him. Xie Chenyang tilted his head up, avoiding Zhai Zhi’s line of sight, uncomfortably stating, “Previously, after my parents and my brother passed away unexpectedly, I was… spiritless. My brain was too chaotic, and I was cheated by Cen He out of all my shareholdings and property. There was a divorce agreement in his possession, that if I were to divorce him, I’d be cleaned out of my own home and business.”

Zhai Zhi: “…So, it’s not a lingering affection that prevents you from wanting a divorce, but rather, you don’t want to pay for it with your entire wealth?”

“That’s right,” Xie Chenyang said in annoyance. “Isn’t it a bargain for him to get divorced? Those things are mine. Why should I give them to him?”

Zhai Zhi flicked the ashes from his cigarette and mulled over it. “So if I were to help you get your property back, you’d be willing to divorce him?”

“No need to help.” Xie Chenyang revealed a malicious smile. “I want him to beg me for a divorce.”

“Looks like you have a plan in mind.”

“Correct.”

“Let me know if you need help.”

“That’s for certain. I’m never shy with my brothers.”

Zhai Zhi extinguished his cigarette and looked at him with complicated eyes. Perhaps, Xie Chenyang knew what was on his mind, so he’d been using the word “brother” to politely decline him.

—-The next day—–

Xie Chenyang visited Old Man Yu again to give him his thanks.

Seeing that Xie Chenyang seemed unaffected, and not like how he imagined he’d be after the big blow, Yu Chengfeng asked him, “What are you planning to do?”

“After Mom, Dad, and Big Brother’s accidents, I’ve always thought that Cen He was the only family I had left. I never would’ve thought that he approached me with a purpose from the beginning, and over the past few years, he’s acted out every step of the way, day by day, making me and my family believe in him.” Xie Chenyang knew that his acting skills were not good. So instead of acting out any more grief-stricken breakdowns, he truthfully exuded his loathing. “It’s because I failed to understand the truth that I lured a wolf into my house, but I will never abandon myself! In the same way he wants me to, I wish for him to give up on himself, blame himself, and collapse. I want him to suffer!”

Yu Chengfeng saw the rage in his eyes and said compassionately, “I know you have hatred in your heart and are eager to take revenge, but don’t go down the wrong path because of this, is that clear?”

Xie Chenyang nodded. “Don’t worry. I won’t do anything that’s inappropriate for the sake of someone like him.”

“If there’s anything you need my help with, just ask, don’t be shy.”

“Mhm, thank you!”

—–

Xie Chenyang drove Zhai Zhi’s supercar back. Not seeing Zhai Zhi in the living room, Xie Chenyang walked up and wandered around before realizing that he and Zou Hao were discussing things in the study.

Zhai Zhi saw him and waved him over. Xie Chenyang walked boldly in with a big grin. When Zou Hao spotted him, he stopped mid-sentence.

Zhai Zhi: “Keep talking.”

Zou Hao secretly shot a glance at Xie Chenyang as he said, “Your father and mother have also read the summary analysis of the various industries, and their advice is…it’s fine for you to just wait and collect your dividends3A dividend is a distribution of earnings, often quarterly, by a company to its shareholders in the form of cash or stock reinvestment.. You don’t need to work hard and start your own business.”

Xie Chenyang realized something after hearing such a sentence. “You want to start a business?”

Zhai Zhi nodded slightly. “Looking for something to do.”

“How about an entertainment company?” Xie Chenyang casually mentioned.

 Zhai Zhi casually responded. “Okay.”

Zou Hao: “?”

Zhai Zhi waved his hand. “Go find an entertainment company to acquire.”

Zou Hao: “Mr. Zhai…”

Zhai Zhi raised his eyes and stared at him coldly.

Zou Hao: “I’ll go now.” Almost forgot, no one could shake the decisions made by Mr. Zhai.

Xie Chenyang spun the car key around in his finger before handing it over to Zhai Zhi. “Here, I went to Old Man Yu’s place to get your car back.”

Zhai Zhi did not take them. “You keep them.”

Expecting him to defer for a moment or two, he didn’t anticipate that Xie Chenyang would smoothly slip the car keys back into his pocket. “Okay, I’ll be careful not to break it.”

A light smile floated in Zhai Zhi’s eyes. “It doesn’t matter if it breaks. I can afford to fix it.”

Xie Chenyang pulled over a chair and sat in front of him, sincerely saying. “You give me a peach, I’ll give you a plum4It is a metaphor for friendly exchanges or mutual gifts, courtesy and reciprocity. Source: “The Book of Songs. Daya. Yi”: “Give me a peach, and I will give you a plum in return.” Allusion: The idiom “give me a peach and I will give you a plum in return” comes from “Yi” in “The Book of Songs. Daya”, which means that the thing you give in return is more valuable. —-Baidu. Although they’ve all said that I’m unskilled, my family has owned an entertainment company for a long time. It’s implausible for me to really know nothing.”

Zhai Zhi’s fingertips moved and he softly asked. “You want to help me?”

“Well, I can help you if you’re opening an entertainment company.” In fact, Xie Chenyang had no idea how to manage a company. But, he knew the original plot ah.

The first half of the original plot was about Li Xuyang’s family managing Feiyang, and the second half was about how his legal husband managed Feiyang. While he didn’t socialize within the entertainment industry, he was not ignorant of it. He could at least remember which ones would be red5Red is slang for Hot/Popular while Black is used for those who are unpopular or controversial. This is a very popular term for entertainment novels., which ones would go cold, and those who truly had the skills.

“I won’t let you suffer a loss!”

Zhai Zhi looked like he trusted him a lot. “Good.”

Being trusted by his good friend, Xie Chenyang was in a great mood. “It’s almost dinner time. Let’s go out. I’ll treat you to a feast!”

“Because of Cen He’s matter, many people are now focusing on you guys. This house hasn’t  been uncovered for the time being, so it’d be better not to go out at this time.” Zhai Zhi stood up. “Why not for today, I’ll personally cook for you. How about it?”

Xie Chenyang also rose with him. “You know how to cook?”

“Yes.”

“I’ll help you.”

“Good.”

—- The kitchen—-

Zhai Zhi had read through Xie Chenyang’s file and knew that he’d been a pampered young master before, and he didn’t expect him to help much. He sent a message to his cooking auntie that she didn’t need to come over today and rolled up his sleeves. “Ah-Yang, help me peel the garlic. Auntie brought fish over this morning. I’ll deal with that.”

[Does he not believe in me?]

System: “Not really. After all, your persona is that of a spoiled son.”

Xie Chenyang peeled the garlic with a sullen face. Zhai Zhi skillfully struck the fish dead and took out a knife to scrape off the scales. Xie Chenyang put the garlic cloves to the side. “Is there anything else you want me to do?”

Zhai Zhi did not raise his head. “Wash the scallions.”

Xie Chenyang: “…Oh.”

Hiss–”

Xie Chenyang was just about to crouch down to get the scallions when he heard Zhai Zhi and hurriedly turned back. When he saw the gash on Zhai Zhi’s hand cut by the scales, he took a big step over and lifted him away. “Go deal with your injury, and leave this fish to me.”

Zhai Zhi quickly put his hand under the faucet and rinsed it out while explaining, “It was an accident. The fish was a bit slippery and I didn’t hold it steady… It’s just a small cut, not a big problem.”

Xie Chenyang scraped the fish scales neatly in just a couple of passes. “If it wasn’t a small cut, then you wouldn’t be here right now. You’d have been sent to the hospital by me.” Xie Chenyang cleaned the fish and then prepared the chopping board and inquired, “How do you want it?”

Zhai Zhi: “Just filet it.”

“Okay.”

In Xie Chenyang’s head, the system instructed unhurriedly, “The fish should be thoroughly cleaned, especially the stomach… good. Now then, the filets should be sliced thinner… if it’s too thick, it won’t have a good texture…”

Zhai Zhi watched as Xie Chenyang used the knife to quickly and steadily cut the fish into slices with smooth movements, his eyebrows slowly scrunching. Zou Hao’s information…Had he provided the wrong documents?

Xie Chenyang sliced up everything that needed to be sliced up, and then it was Zhai Zhi’s show.

After the meal was carried to the table, Zhai Zhi circled around to the wine cabinet. He grabbed a bottle of red wine and two wine glasses before coming back to the table. “Do you want to drink?”

“Yes.”

“Want ice?”

“Want want want.6 It’s very common in Chinese to actually say things 3 times.

Zhai Zhi poured two glasses of wine, added some ice, and picked up his glass. “Here’s to us getting to know each other.”

Xie Chenyang clinked glasses with him in an appropriate manner. Zhai Zhi lowered his eyes and took a sip, and when he put down the glass he saw that Xie Chenyang had already finished his glass in one go, and bemusedly blurted out, “You…”

Xie Chenyang licked his lips. “Isn’t it a toast? Why did you just take a sip, or can’t you handle your liquor?”

Zhai Zhi gazed at him with a slightly deeper meaning, a glint in the bottom of his eyes.

“It’s okay. If you can’t, you can’t. C’mon, take a sip. I’ll have a cup. This cup is to our cooperation!”
