Qiu Jiu stared toward his direction. He felt more and more that this effeminate young man is not simple. In his heart, he also calculated how to go back and talk to his family’s young master in order not to get himself involved in this.

 

Chen Xing, who was standing next to Qiu Jiu, finished his work and turned his head to look at Qiu Jiu, seeing him staring at the direction where the diners were doing, he asked somewhat strangely, “Qiu Jiu, what’s wrong with you? What are you looking at?”

 

Qiu Jiu immediately came back to his senses and hurriedly smiled and said to Chen Xing, “Nothing, just absent minded for a while.”

The first time he entered, Chen Xing saw Gu Lang sitting there quietly, giving him an illusion, as if Gu Lang had been sitting there in this position since he left, waiting for his return.

 

Chen Xing’s heart inexplicably developed a tingling sensation or sharp pain, and before he could carefully analyze where that sensation came from, Gu Lang seemed to have sensed his arrival and turned his head to look in his direction.

Chen Xing looked at the smile on his face and suddenly followed suit with a big smile, which was so bright that it showed a few moments of foolishness.

 

Just as the two of them were smiling at each other, with a few more moments of warmth in the air, the curtain that connected the backyard was suddenly lifted, followed by the rough and loud voices of the craftsmen, “Big Boss, we’ve already pretty much packed up the contents of that hut, the next thing we need to do is just to install the doors and windows according to Little Boss’s drawings…”

 

After speaking for a while, that carpenter suddenly stopped talking and looked at Chen Xing who was standing there with an expression that was a little surprising at first, then extraordinarily surprised. He then immediately said, “Little Boss, come and take a look, we’ve already worked on it a bit. If there are unsuitable places, you take a look if there’s a need to change.”

Qiu Jiu looked at Gu Lang’s expressionless appearance, hesitated for a moment, but still quietly whispered into Gu Lang’s ear about Shen He, focusing on the matter of Shen He’s intentions towards Chen Xing.
