Chapter 63.3: 桃花酿

Unfortunately, the shopkeeper cited insufficient production as the reason for selling only fifty small jars of wine per day, and would not buy more. However, due to the good taste of the wine, even though the conditions offered by the shopkeeper were a bit harsh, the diners still flocked to the shop and bought all the fruit wine that was sold every day.

On this day, not long after the Chen Family Restaurant opened its business, three middle-aged men and a young man arrived at their door.

The middle-aged man in the lead had a straight back and clear eyes. His status was extraordinary at first glance. He first took a look at the decoration of this shop, then looked at the crowd coming and going inside, a few smiles appeared on his face, “This shop really has a few new ideas.”

As soon as his words fell, the man next to him picked up the conversation, “County Magistrate, don’t you know that this shop not only has new ideas, it is simply playing with it and flowers (good result) come out of it. Not only does it limit the number of people who come, even the things sold inside can’t be bought painlessly.”

The man who was called Master turned his head to look at the indignant man and said with a smile, “It seems that this shop should have a few skills, or else according to that troublesome energy, you certainly won’t be running here again and again like this.”

That man who spoke out was said to be like this. His old face was red. He wanted to refute it for himself, but did not know how to retort it. He simply covered his mouth and then he did not say anything anymore. 

Seeing the normally eloquent subordinate banning his voice, the ‘Master’ smiled, lifted his foot to walk in front of him, and said cheerfully, “Let’s go, let me see it, what is the charm of this small shop, to let you guys ‘linger on with no thought of leaving’ like this.”

Seeing the ‘Master’ lifting his foot and walking over, the remaining two hurriedly followed, except for one of the grads that was still young, who reluctantly followed behind, dilly-dallying and dawdling as he followed.

At this time, Qiu Shi and Qiu Jiu were in the hall, greeting the customers. They will take advantage of the free time at the door to send out the number plate. The guests who come first have just received the number plate before they go in, there is another guest to come on behind.

Qiu Jiu said, “Guests, welcome to the restaurant!” While handing over the number plate in his hand.

The head of this new group of guests that came was none other than the newly appointed county magistrate, their local parental officer.

He smiled at him and said in a warm voice, “Today I am just a diner who came here because I am attracted to visit a famous location.”

Qiu Jiu hastily nodded and handed over the small wooden tablet in his hand. He said behavedly, “Guests, please follow me, I will take you to the private rooms.”

The County Magistrate nodded, but did not move his own feet, then turned his head to look at Gu Lang, who was sitting next to him. Gu Lang, who didn’t utter any sound the entire time, politely said, “This time, coming here, there is one more thing that I have to do on this visit.”

Gu Lang raised his eyes to look at the person in front of him, even though he had dealt with him so many times. He had arranged for the people below him to go, this was the first time that he had properly sized up this new county magistrate.

Gu Lang looked at the sharpness that could not be hidden under his gentle brows, slowly put away the journal in his hand, and looked at him with a shallow smile, “I wonder if the guest is here, kindly give advice or comments?”
