Chapter 69.1: 牵手

Due to the suddenness of the incident, Chen Xing did not sleep well that night. He dreamed over and over again, only to wake up with no recollection of what he had dreamt.

 

The next morning, Chen Xing woke up because of the effects of the hangover, his head was still dizzy, until he came to the dining room and saw Gu Lang sitting there smiling at himself with a gentle face, he just suddenly recalled what they did yesterday.

 

He agreed to Gu Lang’s confession first.

 

Then the two of them embraced each other for a long time.

 

Finally, Chen Xing went back to his room in a trance, not having slept well all night because of Gu Lang’s confession.

 

Recalling this, Chen Xing now does not know what kind of expression should he use toward Gu Lang, although he had thought about being with Gu Lang, but it was all based on fantasy, he never thought that one day it would become a reality.

 

Now, everything has come too suddenly, it made Chen Xing have a kind of unreal feeling instead. He had never fallen in love in his previous world, and had spent all his extra time studying recipes or putting in things he was interested in, so naturally he didn’t know how to get along with his lover, so now when he thought back to what he had promised, he immediately had a feeling of being at a loss for words.

 

Fortunately, Gu Lang also seemed to see his embarrassment, he watched Chen Xing’s increasingly red face, as well as the evasive eyes that were staring at him, still using the same gentle tone as in the past and said towards him, “You do not need to feel burdened.”

 

Chen Xing’s heart tightened, raised his eyes towards him, and saw Gu Lang smiling gently towards himself, but there were a few more things he couldn’t understand than before.

 

Gu Lang stared fixedly at Chen Xing with those pitch black eyes and continued, “If you are not used to the change in our relationship, then how about we still follow the former pattern?”

 

Talking to this point, Gu Lang paused for a moment, looking at him with increasingly gentle eyes, as if filled with a starlight, “I always hope that you will be happy.”

 

Gu Lang didn’t know how much Chen Xing liked him, or if his liking for him was all based on his face, but he would respect all of Chen Xing’s decisions. As long as the result was good, it didn’t matter if the process took a little longer, he could co-operate and he could wait, it doesn’t matter.

 

The tension from earlier was washed away by Gu Lang’s words. Looking at this man who was gentle from the beginning to the end, Chen Xing slightly thought about the pattern of other couples getting along and thinking of what he himself had promised yesterday, he blushed as he said, “I think we can do it little by little. Hn, just start by holding hands.”

 

“Okay.” Gu Lang looked at Chen Xing, who was embarrassed after saying this, and gently answered.

 

Therefore, when the three of them finished breakfast and went to the restaurant together.

 

Gu Lang and Chen Xing walked behind Qiu Jiu, and the inadvertent touching of their fingers between the two of them as they walked caused Chen Xing’s ears to involuntarily redden.

 

Feeling the touch of his fingers rubbing together, Gu Lang turned his head to look at the person next to him, only to see that Chen Xing was looking straight ahead without slanting his eyes, but the tips of his ears were red.

 

Gu Lang laughed without sound, then took hold of Chen Xing’s hand as soon as the two of them rubbed their fingers together. He could feel the palm, which was slightly warmer than his own body temperature, stiffen slightly for a moment, before relaxing and letting him hold his hands.

 

Chen Xing’s mind was now filled with Gu Lang holding his hand, and the fact that Gu Lang’s hand, which was cooler than his own, felt like jade (good thing), wasn’t too far off from what he had imagined.
