TSBFL Chapter 89
Chapter 89.2: 穿衣
[Get Dressed]
“What’s wrong?” When Gu Lang saw that it was Chen Xing. The expression on his face had returned to the usual gentle and indifferent look.
Chen Xing looked at him with some hesitation, but finally opened his mouth, “Are you not feeling well there? Why is the face so red?”
Being asked by Chen Xing, Gu Lang touched his cheeks and found that it was indeed a bit hot. He immediately froze for a moment, and then forced himself to calm down and said, “It’s nothing, it’s just that it’sAW a bit hot to be standing here.”
Chen Xing was said so by Gu Lang. Gu Lang raised his eyes to look at the top of the sun, and found that the hottest time had passed! Although it is no longer the height of summer, it should not be so hot. Thinking that Gu Lang’s health is not good, he couldn’t help worrying and said anxiously, “Do you feel uncomfortable? Do you want to see a doctor?”
Being so concerned by Chen Xing, Gu Lang’s face was a bit embarrassed, he quickly waved his hand towards Chen Xing, signaling: “It doesn’t matter, it’s not that serious.”
Chen Xing was still a little uneasy, and wanted to continue to persuade him.
Gu Lang knew that he couldn’t go on like this, otherwise, he wouldn’t know how to end it later. Looking at Chen Xing’s clothes, although he had put them on, they were still a bit wrinkled. Although Chen Xing was dressed, his clothes were still a bit wrinkled, he hurriedly said: “Some parts of your clothes are still untidy. Let me help you ba!”
Gu Lang did not allow Chen Xing to refuse, and reached out to him to tidy up his clothes. But when he looks at Chen Xing, he has not straightened out the neckline, revealing the white delicate inner neck. His eyes can not help but go down a few points, the unclothed clothes made the view underneath appear indistinctly (to be hidden and visible).
“What’s wrong? Isn’t my clothes too messy? But I’ve tried my best.”
Chen Xing’s distressed voice rang in Gu Lang’s ear, pulling him back from his wandering mind.
Gu Lang avoided Chen Xing’s simple eyes, and said with some embarrassment, “No, you have already done a good job, but there are still some places that need to be adjusted.”
Immediately after that, Gu Lang suppressed his wavering mind and tried to treat Chen Xing with his normal attitude, quickly helping him to tidy up his clothes.
Just as Gu Lang appreciated his masterpiece with satisfaction and thought about what hairstyle he would comb for Chen Xing to match, he heard Chen Xing exclaim, “Gu Lang, you have a nosebleed!”
Gu Lang’s calm expression on his face stood still for a moment, and then he reached out and touched his nose; when he put it in front of his eyes again, he saw the bright red blood on it, and only then did he believe that he had really had a nosebleed.
Gu Lang’s expression was calmly looking at the blood on his hand, but Chen Xing was panicked, he immediately thought of the posture he had learnt, and reached out to ask Gu Lang, tilted his head and not to move around freely.
Gu Lang cooperated obediently. The expression on his face quickly regained its calmness after a short period of dismay so out of the corner of his eye, he saw Chen Xing, who was busy beside him; suddenly laughed.
After confirming that Gu Lang’s nosebleed was only due to chance, and that there was no other major problem, Chen Xing and Gu Lang re-packed their things. He took the carriage and went to the Chen family home, however, they were still a bit late compared to the original time.
At the entrance of the Chen family,
Kui San and Li Ming, as the servants of the house, received an order from the housekeeper early in the morning, asking them to greet the guests for the master at this hour in the afternoon, and then lead them in front of the old master.
Both of them were very happy when they heard this news, being able to show their faces in front of the master, they might be able to get the master’s appreciation through this. From now on, they will be able to rise to great heights.
Therefore the two of them were waiting outside the door before the time came, but after waiting for a long time, the carriage that the butler had mentioned still didn’t come.
Kui San finally felt that somehow something was wrong, he looked at the side of Li Ming as he asked: “Do you know who is coming this time?”
Li Ming thought for a while, and finally not too sure as he said: “The person who came is that unpopular commoner son of the Chen family’s Chen Xing, as well as that sickly husband (chronic invalid) of his.”
Kui San slapped his thighs, with a face of remorse, pointing at Li Ming’s nose, he scolded: “You idiot, why didn’t you tell me earlier! If you had told me that it was the two raggedy men who came, why would we have to stand here for half a day, and then come out to collect when the time comes, Moreover since we could have rested for half a day?”
Li Ming originally heard Kui San scolding him and was not too happy about it but then he heard what he said. He thought there was a bit of truth, so he did not talk back, just embarrassedly said: “Am I not thinking too much? After all, it’s the steward who gives us an errand, is not the same as anyone else?”
Hearing Li Ming’s words, Kui San felt angry. He immediately retorted: “Does it make a difference whether the customer is a nobleman or from an impoverished family? You can’t even invite ‘noblemen’ no matter what. We have to serve them, after all, when a man attains the Tao, even his pets ascend to heaven—when a man gets to the top, all his friends and relations get there with him. If they appreciate us, we’ll be able to follow them to the top. But it’s not the same with this impoverished family. He’s begging for our grandfather’s help and he’ll take whatever we give him. We don’t have to serve them so carefully.”
