Chapter 61.2

They walked for a while under the pressure of these people, drilling several holes along the way. They stumbled all the way, seemingly leaving the Zhou mansion behind them, and were eventually taken into a carriage.

Wen Chi had a handkerchief stuffed in his mouth and a hood over his head and the two men who were holding him followed him on from left and right.

He didn’t dare to act rashly and even breathed very carefully. He unconsciously clenched his hands tightly, feeling both scared and apprehensive.

This state lasted for a long time.

Just when Wen Chi felt that he was about to be thrown out by the shaking of the carriage, the carriage finally stopped slowly.

“Get out of the carriage.” The man on the right grabbed the clothes on Wen Chi’s shoulders, lowered his rough voice and threatened in his ear, “Be good.”

In fact, Wen Chi was very honest, except that the rope tied on his body was too strong for him to stand up and he cooperated with those men at all times.

He knew that he couldn’t escape even if he wanted to, and he was in danger of being torn apart at any moment, so he might as well see what these people were really up to first.

These people took a lot of trouble to kidnap him and Hua Zi Zang and they worked so hard to get them out of the Zhou Mansion so they were certainly not taking them to the wilderness to kill them, but were most likely using them as hostages.

After getting off the carriage, Wen Chi noticed that Hua Zi Zang was left behind on the carriage by them.

Wen Chi was caught and walked for a while. After walking for an unknown amount of time, the person walking in front of him finally stopped.

Then came the sound of the door being opened.

The man holding Wen Chi said, “Go in.”

Hearing this, Wen Chi immediately walked in.

But since his face was covered, he couldn’t see the path under his feet and when he stepped in, he stumbled on the door frame, lost his balance and fell straight forward.

Fortunately, someone caught him from behind.

Wen Chi was so frightened that he could barely catch his breath and his heart was pounding. He didn’t even realize that the handkerchief was pushed out of his mouth. He gasped and said, “Thank you for your help.”

“Heh.” The person holding him said in a rough voice, “Why are you so polite.”

After he finished speaking the man suddenly realized, “Wait, your mouth isn’t gagged, is it?”

Wen Chi: “…”

He quickly shut his mouth.

Fortunately, the man didn’t care about it and took off the hood on Wen Chi’s head and said, “Go in.”

Wen Chi blinked and after his eyes got used to the environment here, he continued to walk inside.

As he walked and looked around, he was surprised to find that he was taken into a room with a good environment, even better than the inn he stayed in before arriving in Jinzhou.

The two men who arrested Wen Chi seemed to guess that Wen Chi would not escape easily, so they let Wen Chi look around.

After Wen Chi finished looking around, the man who gave Wen Chi a hand just said: “You just stay here and let us know if you need anything. Our people will always be guarding outside.”

Wen Chi nodded her head like a chicken pecking at rice, “Okay.”

The man thought for a while and still said a few harsh words in accordance with the rules: “I am warning you, you are already in our territory, as long as you are obedient, we will not touch a hair on your head, otherwise we will kill you just by lifting a finger.”

Wen Chi continued to nod as a chicken pecking at the rice: “Okay.”

“…” The man was unexpectedly silent for a while and finally couldn’t help asking, “Are you really not going to run away?”

Wen Chi gave the man a rather strange look, “Aren’t you the ones who forbid me to run away?”

The man:”……”

Well, this question had gotten him into a loop.

The more the two men thought about it, the more they felt that Wen Chi had a big heart. They kidnapped so many people, rich and poor and even kidnapped officials who came to Jinzhou for investigations, which of them had not cried out for mercy?

This was the first time they had seen hostages who were so cooperative with the kidnappers.

If it wasn’t for them being the kidnappers, they might have thought that Wen Chi wasn’t kidnapped but came out for a stroll.

After the two men thought for a while, they were prepared to leave.

“Two big brothers, please wait a moment.” Wen Chi said suddenly, “The rope is tied too tightly and it’s making it extremely difficult for me to even get up. I wonder if the two big brothers can untie it for me? So that I can lie on the bed and rest for a while.”

The two men: “…”

Perhaps it was Wen Chi’s expression and words that were extremely sincere. By some miracle, the two men actually gave in and cut the rope for him with a knife.

Wen Chi’s limbs were all freed and he felt relieved immediately.

The two men put away their knives, glanced at Wen Chi who had slumped down on the stool, turned and continued to leave.

Unexpectedly, they hadn’t reached the door yet and Wen Chi said again: “Two big brothers, I have something else to ask you…”

The two men paused in their steps and turned their heads to look.

Wen Chi rested one hand on the edge of the table and tried to sit in a comfortable position. He smiled at them shyly: “I’m a little hungry after tossing around for so long.  I wonder if you two brothers can prepare some midnight snacks for me?”

The two men: “…”

After a long silence, one of the men couldn’t bear it anymore, raised his brows and said fiercely: “Do you think you are here to relax?  Why do you have so many demands? What else do you want?”

Hearing this, Wen Chi’s eyes lit up and he hurriedly said, “If possible, I would also like a set of bedding, preferably a little thinner. After all, the weather is getting warmer now, so I don’t need too thick bedding.”

That man: “…”

Wen Chi looked at them expectantly, but the answer was the door slamming shut—the two men walked away without looking back.

But it didn’t take long before someone actually delivered supper and bedding.
