— Cheating (Affair?)

“Cough cough cough.”

Duan Wenlun hadn’t smoked this much in a long time. He finally noticed the haze in the room when he was choking on the smoke. He rarely returned to his own place anymore. He found Luo Hanchi’s house comfortable. Someone was there to take care of him, and the room had a good atmosphere without being too noisy. But he felt he might not be able to stay much longer.

Duan Wenlun suspected that Luo Hanchi was seeing someone else.

They were almost always staying in Luo Hanchi’s house now, lying in Luo Hanchi’s bed. When Luo Hanchi made suspicious movements in the room, Duan Wenlun quickly noticed. Luo Hanchi would often sneak into his study, carefully look around, and then close the door. If Duan Wenlun happened to touch the door handle, Luo Hanchi would rush over to block the door in a fluster.

“There’s nothing interesting in there!”

… A classic case of ‘thou dost protest too much!’1It’s a cynical, ironic, somewhat sarcastic comment about someone overdoing a denial, suggesting that they are, indeed, to some degree guilty.

Duan Wenlun became convinced that Luo Hanchi was cheating after he overheard a phone call Luo Hanchi was making. Today, he woke up a little earlier than usual, and Luo Hanchi didn’t notice. Luo Hanchi was crouched on the balcony, secretly making a call.

“I’m ready now. See you tonight.” Luo Hanchi covered his mouth and whispered, “I won’t let Young Master Duan find out. You wait tonight. I have a huge surprise waiting for you.”

That was indeed a huge surprise for Duan Wenlun.

Duan Wenlun calmly returned to the room, and when it was time for him to get up, he left without looking back, heading to his own place, lighting cigarette after cigarette.

But the cigarettes were no use. The more he thought about it, the more agitated he became. Duan Wenlun reached for the cigarette pack, but it was empty, and the floor was littered with cigarette butts. The cigarettes were gone, but the worries remained. Duan Wenlun decided it was time to quit smoking.

He closed the cigarette box and suddenly realized – he and Luo Hanchi were just friends with benefits, so why was he overthinking things? Sitting here depressed and unhappy was really out of his style, if Luo Hanchi grew tired of him, Duan Wenlun should be the one to end it first, saying something cold and decisive like, “Disappear from my sight, or the Luo family might go bankrupt when winter comes.” Then he’d leave the other person with an imposing back.

But then he imagined Luo Hanchi’s response: “Wake up, we’re just friends with benefits, aren’t we?”

Duan Wenlun tossed the cigarette box aside and left his room, returning to Luo Hanchi’s place. Luo Hanchi looked confused as Duan Wenlun entered. “When did you leave?” Duan Wenlun ignored him, and Luo Hanchi stared at Duan Wenlun, who walked deeper into the room. Luo Hanchi’s face grew even paler.

“N-No… Don’t… Go… In!” He looked like a scumbag about to be caught red-handed.

But it was too late for everything. Duan Wenlun didn’t know where he found a hammer, but he smashed open the study door.

Luo Hanchi instinctively glanced at the bookshelf, then quickly avoided his gaze. Duan Wenlun naturally noticed and immediately opened the bookshelf. As expected, a soft, slender body tumbled out of the bookshelf and fell to the ground.

Entirely made of silicone, perfectly proportioned, an impeccably realistic sex doll.

“Young Master Duan, let me explain. I really didn’t get this for… that. One of my buddies is getting married, and we were planning to play a prank on him together. It was supposed to be a surprise!”

Duan Wenlun helped the doll back up, placed it back in the bookshelf, and pushed Luo Hanchi out of the study. He closed the door, but unfortunately, the lock was broken, so it easily swung open.

Luo Hanchi watched dumbfoundedly as Duan Wenlun repeatedly closed the door, smelling the strong scent of smoke on him. Then he noticed Duan Wenlun’s reddened earlobes and suddenly understood, “Oh, you thought I was seeing someone else!”

“…” Duan Wenlun’s movements froze. In reality, he was already in a state of panic, his mind a mess, unable to come up with any words of defense. He closed his eyes, waiting for Luo Hanchi’s mocking laughter.

“Sigh… I shouldn’t have kept you in the dark about something so trivial and let you misunderstand. From now on, ask me about anything. I promise I’ll tell you.”

Duan Wenlun thought to himself, ‘We’re just friends with benefits. Should I really care this much?’ But he still answered, “Okay.”

— Amnesia

When Luo Hanchi woke up, his mind was a blank slate, and his body was vaguely sore.

“Brother, he’s awake. I’ll go call the doctor.”

Nurses and doctors passed by him, fussing around him, fiddling with his body.

The doctor put away his tools and turned towards two other strangers, saying, “Preliminarily, there doesn’t seem to be a problem. We’ll need to conduct further tests to be completely certain.”

“Alright.” The words came from a delicate and petite omega, who turned to Luo Hanchi with a worried look in his eyes, “Hanchi, are you feeling okay?” The gentle scent of gardenia filled Luo Hanchi’s empty heart. He thought, even though he couldn’t remember anything, this lovely person must either be his lover or his future love.

Perhaps Luo Hanchi’s gaze was too intense, as the alpha beside the delicate omega got closer, wrapping the omega in his arms and giving Luo Hanchi a dangerous look.

Well, it seemed that neither his current love nor his future love was a likely possibility.

Luo Hanchi stared at the two individuals, his eyes nearly popping out of his head, and had to confess, “Who… are you?”

The two in front of him froze for a moment, then after a while, they snapped back to reality. They opened their mouths as if to say something, but before they could, a figure rushed out and collided directly into Luo Hanchi’s embrace.

“How could you forget? Didn’t you agree to marry and take Nannan home? Waaah…”

The faces of the two strangers turned even more awkward, and one of them pulled the person out of Luo Hanchi’s arms.

Hanchi, how could you say such a thing? Nannan is still in kindergarten. When is Brother Wenlun going to come?

That short sentence contained too much information. Luo Hanchi’s memory still lingered at the peak of his life, and now, after waking up, the path ahead led not to success, but to the police station. Holding the little beauty in his arms and gazing at the little one, he wondered if it’s too late to recover from amnesia?

Luo Hanchi subconsciously reached for his pocket, wanting to grab a cigarette. Before he could even touch it, he heard the delicate omega shout at the door, “Brother Wenlun!” Luo Hanchi abandoned the pocket search and craned his neck to look outside.

Before the figure appeared, the scent reached him – a rich aroma of roses, a real alpha with omega pheromones.

“Brother Wenlun, you need to scold Hanchi. He won’t even let Nannan off!”

“Nonsense! Cough cough, stop spouting nonsense. If he didn’t protect Nannan when picking her up from school, how could he have injured his brain? When have you two fathers fulfilled your responsibilities as fathers? Can you remember Nannan’s final exam scores?”

The two who were called out exchanged uncertain glances. As the still-small child climbed step by step in front of Luo Hanchi, Luo Hanchi’s eyes began to radiate maternal radiance. Every step of Nannan’s growth bore traces of Luo Hanchi’s influence. There were no signs of his two fathers.

“It’s a good thing Luo Hanchi can’t remember for now. You two take care of Nannan these days. Don’t keep burdening Luo Hanchi with these matters.” Duan Wenlun finished speaking and couldn’t help muttering under his breath, “Why is Luo Hanchi so fond of taking care of children?”

Luo Hanchi felt a bit relieved after listening. It looked like he didn’t have to turn himself in. But how did he end up taking care of a child again? He remembered he had made a vow: I, Luo Hanchi, would never take care of a child even if I jumped off a cliff! How did things end up like this?

Luo Hanchi saw the man with the rosy fragrance walk up to him. The man’s long and fair fingers wiggled in front of his eyes. “Are you okay? Your brain isn’t damaged, right?” The man smirked, looking down at him with a superior gaze.

Bullshit.

These two words popped into Luo Hanchi’s mind, startling him. Maybe his brain really was damaged.

“What’s our relationship? Lovers?”

“Don’t listen to their nonsense. We’re just friends with benefits.”

“Friends with benefits? For how long?”

“Only about three years.”

Three years? And that’s just friends with benefits???

That was just an ordinary day. Like usual, Luo Hanchi called Duan Wenlun and said he was going to pick up Nannan, take her to dinner, and they would not see each other in the evening.

“Why bother informing me about such things? We haven’t made any arrangements between us.” Duan Wenlun’s tone over the phone was as flat as ever, but his face grew increasingly dark.

His secretary timidly asked beside him, “Is the meeting tonight still on?”

“Proceed with it.”

Duan Wenlun raised an eyebrow. This had become quite the routine lately. Whenever he had a rare moment of break, Luo Hanchi’s maternal instincts would kick in, and he’d gladly step in as a makeshift babysitter for the kid. As a result, during the meeting, Luo Hanchi had a car accident and lost his memory.

Duan Wenlun couldn’t help but secretly revel: well, now Luo Hanchi wouldn’t have to bother with that little rascal anymore!

After a thorough examination, even the doctors couldn’t quite grasp the cause of Luo Hanchi’s amnesia. “Physically, he’s perfectly fine. You might try taking him to familiar places to jog his memory,” they suggested.

Duan Wenlun thought to himself, ‘I’m just a casual acquaintance, why fuss over it?’ Still, he escorted Luo Hanchi out of the hospital. As they sat side by side in the car, and no one spoke for a long time. Duan Wenlun, unaccustomed to such quiet, found it discomforting.

One time, after getting into the car, Luo Hanchi’s true nature emerged, and he chattered ceaselessly from the moment they got in the car until they stepped out, especially about little Nannan and her diaper stories. Finally, Duan Wenlun had had enough. He pressed Luo Hanchi’s mouth against the window and cursed, “Can you fucking shut up?” Who could have foreseen such serenity in the car one day?

“Duan Wenlun,” Luo Hanchi called cautiously, the person in front just emitting a nonchalant ‘mm-hmm,’ “Where are we headed?”

“Your place.”

Luo Hanchi sensed a shift in the person’s mood ahead, unable to understand why. The whole promising day had been overwhelmed by silence. Hearing Luo Hanchi respectfully address him by name, Duan Wenlun felt an unexpected unease, missing the teasing tone of ‘Young Master Duan’ that Luo Hanchi used to call.

As Luo Hanchi stepped into the house, he stared at the lavish decor and spaciousness that obviously came with a hefty price tag.

“Remember anything yet?”

Lying comfortably on the couch, Luo Hanchi sighed, “Not a thing.”

“Well, if you can’t remember, then don’t just laze around.” Duan Wenlun kicked the couch with a nudge. “Contact some of your old friends and let’s go meet them.”

Duan Wenlun wasn’t familiar with Luo Hanchi’s buddies, so he picked up the phone from the table, and with a simple tap, the screen unlocked.

Luo Hanchi nearly fell off the couch in surprise. He clearly remembered Duan Wenlun mentioning them being acquaintances with benefits. Would friends with benefits record their fingerprints?

Duan Wenlun glanced at Luo Hanchi’s embarrassed expression, dialed the numbers of Luo Hanchi’s pals, and said, “Oh, I saved your fingerprint because of a minor disagreement we had earlier. Don’t worry, I’ll only use it while you’re around. Let’s see if meeting your old friends triggers any memories.”

They arranged to meet in the afternoon. After hanging up, the two hungry souls sat on the couch, sinking back into silence.

Luo Hanchi sneakily glanced at Duan Wenlun, pondering whether a friend with benefits was responsible for cooking. Then he thought, since his fingerprint was on record, cooking a meal was nothing in comparison. He sluggishly asked, “Should I whip up something to eat? Are you up for it?”

“…Mm-hmm. Do you know where the cooking stuff is?”

“Do you?”

“I don’t.”

“…Then I’ll figure it out.”

Luo Hanchi headed to the kitchen. Although he didn’t have any specific memory of this kitchen, his body seemed to know its way around. He prepared a few light dishes, even though he didn’t particularly fancy bland flavors. He couldn’t quite comprehend why he was doing this.

“Food’s ready, I made a few simple things.”

Duan Wenlun observed the dishes on the table, clearly surprised. He gave Luo Hanchi a skeptical look. “You really don’t remember anything? You didn’t used to like such plain food. You used to… prepare mild dishes for me when my stomach was acting up.”

“I see. But I genuinely can’t remember anything.”

Duan Wenlun’s expression grew heavy. Holding his chopsticks, he silently started eating. The meal passed in silence, much like death. Duan Wenlun found himself blaming Luo Hanchi for not being his usual chatty self and had to admit it was his own outburst that kept the amnesiac Luo Hanchi from speaking.

An hour of their solitary awkwardness felt like an eternity, until the doorbell broke the silence.

“Big Brother Chi!” The person outside warmly hugged Luo Hanchi. Clearly, Luo Hanchi still recognized these friends. His face brightened a bit, and they left the house together.

Duan Wenlun lingered by the doorway, watching as they left. The person outside waved to him, saying, “Sister-in-law, come along!”

“Sis, sister-in-law?”

“Brother Chi, you must have forgotten about that incident. You once gave our buddy a toy and it was almost taken as an affair. Since then, Sister-in-law has been strict with you. Forget about being friends with benefits, it’s all the same as being in a relationship.”

“Don’t make things up.” Luo Hanchi actually wanted to nod in agreement, but he caught Duan Wenlun’s expression and thought better of it. His pampered demeanor made things difficult!

They went to the places Luo Hanchi frequented as a child – winding alleys and rundown buildings.

“Brother Chi, do you remember us running around here when we were kids? Sigh… without parents, just you raising us with all your heart, even wiping our butts.”

“We were so young back then. We even found a baby once and fumbled around trying to feed and diaper it.”

“Enough, that kid has grown up and is married now.”

Duan Wenlun: … So, Luo Hanchi has been a mother since childhood?!

As they chatted and walked into the twilight, Duan Wenlun trailed behind, listening to Luo Hanchi’s tales of nurturing a bunch of little rascals from diapers to adulthood. It was a mind-bending revelation, but it shed no light on Luo Hanchi’s current mess.

“Brother Chi, let’s grab dinner together before heading back.”

“Sure.”

Duan Wenlun suddenly spoke up, “I’ll head back first. You guys enjoy your meal.”

Luo Hanchi recalled Duan Wenlun mentioning his stomach issues, and seeing Duan Wenlun’s solitary figure, he reflexively said, “I’ll head back with Young Master Duan.”

“Of course, have a good time with Sister-in-law.”

Running over, Luo Hanchi jogged up to Duan Wenlun with a grin. “Why’d you leave so suddenly? Didn’t even wait for me, Young Master Duan.”

Duan Wenlun glanced at Luo Hanchi, a playful glint in his eye, not mocking but somewhat sweet. “You used to call me that too.”

Luo Hanchi’s heart raced like a schoolkid’s first crush. He seized the moment for a casual chat, bringing up past memories as they chatted about their journey home, meals, and eventually Luo Hanchi concluded, “Love is quite the complicated thing, huh?”

“Did you remember something?”

Luo Hanchi’s mind drew a blank, left only to shake his head helplessly. He earnestly wished to recall the memories Duan Wenlun had mentioned.

“Alright then, get some rest.” Duan Wenlun’s words held no sadness or anger. Setting down his chopsticks, he headed for his room. “It’s quite late, I’ll stay here for the night. Your bedroom’s inside.”

“Okay.”

Luo Hanchi washed up and lay on the unfamiliar bed, closing his eyes. Suddenly, he heard the door handle turning. In the darkness, his eyes flicked open, but before he could react, he was pinned down tightly.

“I just can’t accept it. You’ve completely forgotten about me.” Duan Wenlun’s tone was cold, as his hand swiftly removed Luo Hanchi’s pants.

Luo Hanchi could barely see anything, feeling Duan Wenlun’s practiced touch through his thin underwear, exploring his nether regions skillfully, the other hand playing with his balls.

The physical pleasure overwhelmed his fear. Luo Hanchi didn’t push Duan Wenlun away; instead, he reached out and turned on the bedside lamp, casting a faint glow on Duan Wenlun’s silhouette. His lips were pressed against the damp spot on his underwear, evidence of arousal.

“You…” Luo Hanchi tried to resist, but Duan Wenlun’s firm grip silenced him. His body went limp, and so did his ‘little brother.’

“If you can’t remember anything, don’t try anything.”

Duan Wenlun removed Luo Hanchi’s underwear, leaving them draped over his knees. He took the giant thing into his mouth, then swallowed deeply, his tongue flicking the tip, and the ‘little brother’ stood tall again. Duan Wenlun’s face nestled between Luo Hanchi’s legs, moving up and down, sucking and licking. But just as Luo Hanchi was about to climax, Duan Wenlun let go.

“Young Master Duan, are you just teasing me?”

“I said, you can only move when you remember.”

Duan Wenlun spread his legs, holding Luo Hanchi’s waist. Only then did Luo Hanchi vaguely see that Duan Wenlun’s lower body was completely bare, his fair, long legs pressed against Luo Hanchi’s body. Duan Wenlun’s fingers, lubricated, ventured into his own butt hole, moving in and out. He looked at Luo Hanchi with widened eyes, his tongue licking his lips.

With one hand supporting Luo Hanchi’s shoulder and the other gripping his guy, Duan Wenlun slowly lowered himself onto it, his tight back passage warmly enveloping Luo Hanchi. The stiff little brother grazed Duan Wenlun’s sensitive spot, evoking low moans, his waist softened, nearly falling into Luo Hanchi’s embrace. Nevertheless, he pushed himself up and down, gradually increasing his pace.

The room filled with the sweet scent of roses. Luo Hanchi felt a bit dizzy, gradually realizing his heat was kicking in. His gradually knotted lower body, not thoroughly satisfied, begged for more stimulation.

Duan Wenlun gazed down at him, a calculating smile on his lips. “I’ve calculated. Your heat should’ve arrived today.”

“Luo Hanchi, if you can’t remember, don’t think you’ll find pleasure.”

Luo Hanchi’s eyes reddened as he watched Duan Wenlun enjoy himself for a while. Fluid oozed from the tip and blended with the rhythmic sound of their passionate exchange. Finally, Luo Hanchi grabbed Duan Wenlun’s thighs, turned him over and pressed him down. Thrusting forcefully, Luo Hanchi forced faint moans from Duan Wenlun.

“Young Master Duan, don’t torture me anymore.”

“Mmm, did you remember, hmm?”

“I did! I did! Even changing diapers and taking care of those brats came to mind.”

“Don’t bring up others!”

“Alright, I’ll focus solely on fucking you.”

Luo Hanchi held onto Duan Wenlun’s waist, thrusting faster and deeper.

“Mmm… Slow down… too fast…”

“Slow down? You’re gripping me so tight and yet you want it slow? Tonight, I’m making up for those missed days.”

“Debts you owe? How could you forget me completely? If you ever forget again, I won’t let you off easily.”

Luo Hanchi hesitated, then laughed joyfully, his eyes crescent-shaped. Leaning in, he kissed the corner of Duan Wenlun’s lips. “Okay, okay, I’ll never forget you in this lifetime.”

Finally, the tale of this lovey-dovey ‘AA’ duo found its true ending (?), wrapped up in a slightly cheesy yet unexpectedly heartwarming package. It’s not overly spicy but still packed with feels!
