KMCF Chapter 118

Jing Yu watched the scene unfold before him, feeling waves of anger surging up, leaving his mind momentarily blank with fury.

What the hell was this?!

He had intended to spend more time with his brother these past few days but had been too busy. Since he only had one engagement with Gu Tingshen that afternoon, and he wasn’t a stranger, he hurried to finish his work in the morning, planning to pick up his brother and have lunch together.

But Gu Tingshen, that old dog, really didn’t consider himself an outsider!

He had just driven into the underground garage and was about to call his brother when he saw him rushing toward Gu Tingshen’s car.

He had just thought, what a coincidence, Gu Tingshen actually had the same idea as him, thinking that it was not in vain to have such a brother.

Little did he expect to catch Gu Tingshen embracing and kissing his brother.

“Gu Tingshen! You bastard!”

Jing Yu shoved Gu Tingshen away, his eyes burning with a desire to beat him to death.

With that thought, he raised his fist, ready to smash it into him.

Both Jing Li and Gu Tingshen were also taken aback by Jing Yu’s sudden appearance here. It was quite a coincidence that they were caught kissing by him. Even after being separated, they were still in a state of shock and confusion, unable to regain their senses.

Seeing Jing Yu’s intention to tear Gu Tingshen apart, Jing Li temporarily disregarded everything else, hurriedly restraining his brother.

“Ge, calm down!” Jing Li pleaded softly as he tightly embraced his brother, preventing him from harming Gu Tingshen, “Let’s get in the car and find a place to talk, okay?”

“I can’t calm down!”

Jing Yu’s anger was overwhelming at the moment, he couldn’t listen to anything else. He struggled to break free from Jing Li’s grasp while glaring fiercely at Gu Tingshen. “Xiao Jing, let go, this scum is beyond redemption, I’ll teach him a lesson for you today!”

In Jing Yu’s eyes, his obedient brother bore no fault. His precious brother had always been well-behaved. Especially after breaking up with that scumbag, he had become even more sensible.

And looking at the situation, it was clear that Gu Tingshen had initiated the kiss!

What more was there to say? It was obviously Gu Tingshen’s deliberate seduction!

Not to mention, this scoundrel had been in the business world for so many years and had seen all sorts of things, and now he dared to use those tricks on his brother!

The more Jing Yu thought, the angrier he became, and with that anger, his thoughts in other areas also began to clear.

He recalled their interactions at home yesterday.

Gu Tingshen arriving so early, heading straight for the kitchen, was out of character. At the time, he found it strange, but now, thinking it over, everything felt off, especially Gu Tingshen’s obvious nervousness when they talked, and then!!!

Jing Yu suddenly remembered Gu Tingshen’s visibly swollen lips when he ran into him in the kitchen!

That was clearly not from heat rash, but the aftermath of kissing…

Jing Yu felt an intense surge of indignation.

Connecting the dots, he recalled his brother’s slightly swollen lips the night before last, and the familiar silhouette resembling Gu Tingshen’s that he saw at the mall.

Linking it further to the rumors he heard at Gu Tingshen’s company, Jing Yu grew increasingly agitated!

Had this old dog been plotting to seduce his “innocent” brother for that long?!

Remembering how this bastard had brazenly asked him “if someone like him was suitable for Xiao Jing”, and how he had genuinely praised Gu Tingshen in front of him!

This dog must have been inwardly gloating!

Jing Yu felt his blood pressure skyrocketing again, his fury burning brighter, ready to explode. His struggles intensified, nearly breaking free from Jing Li’s restraints.

“Ge, don’t be like this. I actually…”

As Jing Li prepared to reason with him, Gu Tingshen, in the driver’s seat, spoke first, “Jing Yu, don’t hurt Xiao Jing. Let’s go out and talk alone.”

Hearing Jing Li’s name, Jing Yu regained some sense, quickly looked down at his brother’s strained expression, and stopped struggling. Then, with a cold gaze, he glared coldly at Gu Tingshen. “Get out!”

He patted Jing Li’s arm, signaling him to release his hold.

Jing Li hesitated, glancing at Gu Tingshen, who nodded. Reluctantly, he let go, adding, “Where are you going? There are cameras everywhere. Be careful not to be seen.”

Although not celebrities, their public appearances were frequent, and being caught on camera could lead to unpredictable media stories.

“Don’t worry.” Gu Tingshen reassured him with a glance before looking at Jing Yu, who had exited and closed the door, turning to leave.

Gu Tingshen gave Jing Li another look, signaling him to wait in the car, before hastily following.

Jing Li sat in the car, watching the two leave one after the other, his brows tightly furrowed, but he could only wait, occasionally checking the time, deciding to go look for them if they took too long.

Time ticked by as Jing Li frequently checked his watch. Nearly half an hour passed before he could no longer wait. Just as he was about to leave the car to check, he finally saw the two figures in the rearview mirror.

Jing Li scrutinized them closely. Though his brother’s expression remained sour, the earlier fury had dissipated. Gu Tingshen’s clothes appeared disheveled, but his overall demeanor seemed fine.

However, Jing Li couldn’t rule out his brother venting his anger elsewhere.

As Jing Li observed, the two approached the car.

Gu Tingshen entered the driver’s seat while Jing Yu made his way to the passenger side.

As Jing Li prepared to speak, Jing Yu abruptly opened the door, instructing, “Xiao Jing, get in my car.”

His tone brooked no argument, punctuated by a glare at Gu Tingshen.

Jing Li hesitated, glancing at Gu Tingshen, who silently nodded, signaling he was fine. Seizing the opportunity to talk with his brother, Jing Li got out to follow him to the other car.

The brothers entered Jing Yu’s car one after the other. Once seated, Jing Yu instructed the driver to start driving. He sat there with a stern face, not saying a word.

“Ge, don’t be angry anymore.”

Jing Li glanced at him, taking the initiative, “We didn’t mean to hide it from you. We had planned to tell you today after meeting you.”

“When did this start?” Jing Yu asked directly, ignoring his brother’s attempt to appease him.

“Not long ago,” Jing Li paused before admitting, “We got together after Shen-ge confessed to me before I returned.”

Seeing his brother’s anger resurface, he quickly added, “But to be honest, I was the one who had feelings for him first.”

Jing Yu’s expression visibly faltered.

“I can’t recall exactly when it started. At first, I found him a bit off-putting, but I gradually realized that although Shen-ge seems cold, he’s actually a good person…”

Jing Li slowly recalled his past interactions with Gu Tingshen, and a smile unknowingly spread across his face, filled with fond memories of those times.

Such an expression couldn’t be faked, and even when he was with that scumbag, Jing Yu had never seen such a look on his brother’s face, making it clear his feelings for Gu Tingshen were genuine.

But for this reason, Jing Yu’s look towards his brother became more complicated.

“Besides, didn’t you say Gu Tingshen is a man of good character, no bad habits, is good-looking, successful in his career? There are few in the whole country who can compare to him.”

Jing Li looked at his brother. “Besides, you’ve known him for so long. You’ve seen his way of doing things. Setting aside that I’m your brother, based on what you know of Gu Tingshen, don’t you think he’d make an excellent partner?”

Indeed, Gu Tingshen was excellent – among the few outstanding individuals his age.

Despite his dissatisfaction, Jing Li had to admit this.

Thinking back to their conversation, Gu Tingshen even indicated that he was gradually transferring his assets to Jing Li. Just this boldness was enough to show his sincere treatment of Jing Li.

To many, using assets to gauge a relationship seemed overly materialistic and superficial. But, in today’s society, assets were fundamental to survival. Few would have the courage to relinquish everything solely to prove their love.

Jing Yu fell silent for a moment.

But it was impossible for him to accept it immediately.

Jing Li knew this, so he did not push further.

The car fell quiet again.

After a long while, Jing Yu’s hoarse voice broke the silence, “Have you thought this through?”

Jing Li paused briefly before smiling, “Yes, I have. I’ve decided to be with him for the rest of my life.”

Pausing again, he noticed his brother’s somewhat dejected look and continued, “Even if I overlook something, don’t I have my brother watching out for me?”

Jing Li leaned against his brother’s shoulder, saying sincerely, “No matter what, you’ll always be my only family in my heart.”

Jing Yu froze briefly before meeting his brother’s radiant smile, finally returning a heartfelt smile.

“Fine. Your brother will watch over you.” Jing Yu ruffled his brother’s hair, saying softly, “As long as I’m here, I won’t let anyone bully you.”

The brothers exchanged smiles, an unspoken yet profound affection enveloping them, bound by inseparable blood ties.

The atmosphere in the car gradually warmed, leaving only lingering tenderness between them.

Perhaps with his emotions finally settling, Jing Yu regarded Gu Tingshen with more calmness. Catching sight of a certain someone’s car carefully following behind in his peripheral vision, he let out a cold snort but still instructed the driver to head to the restaurant under the Gu Building.

However, as soon as the car accelerated, Jing Li’s phone rang.

He sat up, glancing at the caller – Gu Tingshen.

Noticing his brother’s gaze, Jing Li paused, about to reject the call, but his brother said, “Answer it.”

Jing Li blinked, looking at his brother, who expressionlessly added, “Speaker.”

Jing Li: “……”

Knowing his brother wouldn’t come around so quickly, he didn’t say much. Thinking that Gu Tingshen probably saw their car changing lanes and just wanted to know where they were going, he followed his brother’s instruction, answered the call, and switched to speakerphone.

Jing Li responded, about to subtly prompt him, but Gu Tingshen’s voice immediately filled the car: “Baby, where are you going? Has your brother calmed down?”

As Gu Tingshen’s voice trailed off, Jing Li felt his brother’s breathing sharpen, the car’s atmosphere instantly tense again.

Jing Li: “……”
